Problem with Mysql DataBase

hi all,
I am new to this topic,so could any one please help me on this problem.
How to Connect MySQL database with java ,
I am getting errors with Driver and data source.
which ODBC data source (user DSN,system DSN or file DSN ....)
So please help me how to set the driver settings and how to connect it.
If you have any example ....
please post it
