Problem with new itunes, please help!!

so much has gone wrong with this process. i tried downloading the new version and the whole setup process wouldnt continue. then i decided to uninstall quicktime then reinstall it. but it wouldnt go through with the quicktime setup either. now the old itunes wont even open, and im thinking, is it worth while to uninstall itunes the redownload completely? will this remove all the music on my ipod? if it does is there any way to put the songs back on? thanks

No it won't remove your music from the pod unless when reconneting it to the new library you say "No do not replace the library with the current one"
It sound like you might not have a backup stragegy in place. I would highly suggust you do something or you might be coming here saying you lost all your music. The pod wan't meant to be the only storage for your music.
I would download both itunes and the qt. Save them to your desktop or something then run the installation. Don't run it from the apple site. Then install QT before itunes. When installing make sure you turn off firewalls/virus/privacy/pop-up blockers/web accelerators as these can cause installation problems.

I've had it with the framework. It's been 20 hours and counting that I am trying to insert/validate a new record.
Things just don't work as advertised.
Here's the situation:
I have an entity object with various validation rules in the validate() method.
Then I have a simple JSP page to insert new records.

I have (hopefully) found a solution to my part of this problem. I was getting the ClassCastExceptions on any page with a <jbo:row> tag after doing a failed DML action. I have tested this with the delete event. (btw, I am using jdev9.0.3.3 w/ BC4J/JSP) Before what I was doing was this:

The second bit of code does the same thing (but it doesn't use a bean like I think <jbo:Row> does) and it doesn't cause the ClassCastError on subsequent errors.
I really hope this helps someone else because it took me forever to get a workaround!

None of my ipods work with new itunes, please help me!

I have:
• 3rd gen. nano
• 5th gen. video
• 2nd gen. nano
Both nanos used to work on my macbook, I could add/delete music, sync.. every thing worked perfectly! Also, I just barely bought the classic from someone and it worked as well.
-- TWO DAYS AGO... I updated to the 8.2.1 version of iTunes and since then, none of my iPods, or my boyfriend's brand-new touch work on iTunes. I've finally uninstalled, installed, reset enough things that when I plug in these iPods, they at least show up on my desk top, but all iTunes does is open.
It used to open and give me a warning: "an ipod has been detected but it could not be identified properly...please disconnect & reconnect" which did nothing.
My 3G nano works perfectly on my boyfriend's brand-new MacBook, but still nothing on mine.
I've thought and thought and figured that iTunes was the culprit and not my USB ports or cables since I tried other things in the ports and 6 other cables that work fine on other computers.
I've been SEARCHING the internet like crazy, reading millions of forums and 'fixes' but nothing works :'(

The same thing happened to me. When I first connected my iPod to my PowerBookG4 after the latest update, it told me to restore my iPod, so I did. Now it tells me there is not enough room to put my music or podcasts onto the iPod, because it is full. However, there is nothing on it since when I restored it took everything off. When I go to the iPod summery page, it says the iPod if full with "other", but I can't figure out what that is, or how to erase it, so I can install my music and podcasts. I run every day and desperately need my iPod, and every place I could otherwise call is closed until Monday. Can anyone help?!!!!!!!!!

Weirdest problem with ipod!PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Okay, i tried to load a playlist that had about 100 songs on it. While its loading, the update just stops. My ipod starts going crazy.The apple logo keeps lighting up and then the light doesnt come on but the logo is still there. You can hear the inside of it like trying to come on but then it just keeps doing the same thing til the battery life runs out! I really need help on this! I've tried to reset but everytime I do it it just keeps doing the same thing. I dont know if i should wipe all my songs off of itunes or what but im so confused and so aggravated with it. PLEASE HELP ME! I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

Mega problems with new Mega 180 - Help, please!

Hello everyone. I recently built a MEGA 180 system for a customer of mine, and have been having NOTHING but problems with it. First off, during the Windows XP PRo install, I'll often receive errors stating that certain files cant be copied, and I'll have to hit enter several times before the file will copy. I've replaced the CD-ROM with an MSI model, and used a different XP CD, and still receive these errors during install pretty often. Secondly, once I get everything installed, I'll get numerous program errors in XP (usually explorer.exe and iexplore.exe, but pretty much every program crashes sometimes). I've used a different HD, different RAM, and I've formatted the HD and reinstalled XP at least 6 times, and am STILL having problems. Im a computer tech, and fairly proficient at building PCs, though this is my first SFF pc I've built. Im really at my wits end here, and am not sure where else to go for ideas on what this can be. I've submitted an online help ticket with MSI, but I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas in the meantime. System specs are as follows:
MSI Mega 180
AMD XP 2800+ CPU (I used artic silver, btw)
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM (I also used 512MB GEIL PC3200 Golden Dragon)
80GB Western Digital HD
MSI CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive
average temp under load: 50c
average temp idle: 36c

Well, hrmm... :noidea:I know when I built my Mega180 I didn't have those problems at least, so it's hard to pinpoint. My bets are toward the memory (although you did swap it out, so that's what bugs me with my thought on that). My next guess would be the MoBo itself (which would be an MSI replace basically as there isn't much leeway for a different board for that case (or getting it out ). I am shocked, however, that you have your sys temps so low. I have an Athlon XP 2700+ (333 FSB, Thunderbird) and my temps go around 60C with the case open and a small room fan blowing through the case...for now). Do you mind telling me how you got your system so cool? I've been considering the Koolance Exos watercooling just to bring this system to stable, lower temps [but I've never dealt with watercooling yet ) Of course, sys temps have always been by biggest problem.
Sorry if this wasn't a big help, but the randomness of the errors seems to lean towards the memory/mobo...possibly the HDD I suppose. Does it still receive errors when not dealing with an optical disc (CD or DVD)? If so, that definitely rules out the optical as the only problem (it may still be a problem, but it wouldn't be the only one at least).

i've been trying to figure this out all day today but i haven't found any solution. hopefully you Mac Geniuses can help. now, my problem isn't that my videos won't play, because they do. they all play perfectly. okay, so when i launch Frontrow, all my video files appear under their respective folders; my TV Shows appear under the TV Shows folder and my Music Videos appear under the Music Videos folder. however, for some strange reason, these files also want to appear under the Movies folder. That means they're showing up twice! -under the Movies folder and TV Shows/Music Videos. is there anyway to fix this, because it's really cluttering my Movies folder and i admit i'm a really anal neat-freak.
Also, i have correctly labeled the video files as Movie, TV Show or Music Video under iTunes. Everything is organized well under iTunes, so i doubt it's that.
please help!!

It might be because with the new update, it seems as though anything stored in the MOVIES folder , shows up under movies in Front Row. I have a folder of Transformers AVI'S in my movie folder, now it shows up in the movie directory of front row

I'm trying to build a chat server in Java on Linux OS.I've created basically 2 classes in the client program.The first one shows the login window.When we enter the Login ID & password & click on the ok button,the data is sent to the server for verification.If the login is true,the second class is invoked,which displays the messenger window.This class again access the server

i got my computer cleaned so it wiped out everything but i asked the people to save itunes they said the songs are still there i just have to download the softwhere but i dont have the disk... and i had the old version of itunes. what do i do to gownload the old itunes if i dont have a disk to get my songs up? and then how do i transfer them to the new verison of itunes and/or do i even need the new verison sence i have an ipod mini 6 GB and i have about 550 songs on it with an adio book please help me

Problem with new iTunes & iPod update

Ever since installing the new iTunes update I've been having problems updating my iPod.
At first when I ran the new version of iTunes a message popped up telling me that I needed to update the software on my iPod. Upon trying to do that, another window popped up saying that 'iPod couldn't be mounted'.
So now my computer can't detect my iPod. I've restored my ipod which didn't help. I would reset my ipod but I can't even do that since when I run the ipod updater program it doesn't detect it. I've tried numerous times to see unplugging/plugging my ipod with the firewire and noticed the ipod hdd was whirring like crazy (and still no detection).
Since the last time I attempted doing that I've noticed that some of my mp3 files on my ipod have become corrupt and would stop halfway through play and just skip to the next song.
Any idea whats going on and how I could fix this??

I'm developing a master-detail form, so I'm using a "Package Spec" variable to hold the primary key value from the master form. The primary key value for the master is generated by a sequence.
Here's the package spec:

If I try to insert two consecutive records into the same detail table, I get an error saying "Unique Constraint voilated", becuase the variable is holding the old values.
And lastly after it inserts the record into the database, I get a dialog box saying, "successfuly inserted 2 records into the database" and when I click ok, the Form closes by itself, any ideas on how to stop this?
I'm really stuck here. Please help me out on this.

Hi,
Maybe the best way to start is to try building a new form from scratch. For simplicity I will assume that you have one master and one detail table. Master table has a primary key and the detail table has a foreign key to the master. Based on this, with the forms you can create a database block based on your master table. Use the wizard. Again using the wizard, create a second block based on the detail table. You'll see a screen to prompt to create a relationship. Create one by selecting the master table and the right foreign key relation. Now take a close look to all triggers automatically created by the form. Also check the "Relations" object found in you master block object tree. Note that the foreight key column in the detail table has the "Copy Value From Item" property set to monitor the master block's primary key.
This is the basic. You don't need the database triggers, except (in case you want to insert through, say, SLQPlus) the one for the master table, which will look like this:

Run the form and explore different situations to see how the form is keeping the data integrity.

I'm having problems with my ringtones please help

I have tried everything to fix my BB Curve problem even down to the battery.   I have custom ringtones set for my husband and other family members. So whenever they call or text I know who it is.. Now my issue is that if I get a text from my son his ringtone will sound than if I get a standard text my son's ringtone will go again. Not the default for just regular ringtones. I took off my facebook becuase someone said that could be a problem. Verizon sent me a new phone and I entered everything manually so if there was something wrong I wouldn't transfer the problem to the new phone. It's not fixed. If someone could please help me. I'm getting ready to turn my BB off completely it's that frustrating. Thank you for any help.

It sounds as if you are saying that any "non-specific" SMS sender receives that text tone of the last one you have set a personal tone for who has texted you?
I don't know. I can only say that if you use those instructon in the guideline, they work.

Problem with updating iTunes. HELP!!!!

A week or so ago I had a problem with iTunes and had to complety remove it from my computer and reinstall it. I turned it on the other day and it says there is an update to iTunes 10.4.1. I hit update but then doesn't show the update. It says I have the current version (10.4) but I know there is a newer version. HELP!!!!

I have a lenovo 3000 N200, it is really cool, runs even games quite well, including newer ones.
But, is it normal to for the display driver program to freeze out in Warcraft 3? It always does that, when accessing the list of maps in the game and after 3-5 mins during an actual game. It sets the resolution down to 640X480 (from 1280X800) and in 16 color. I have to reset it in order to make it work. Also it does the same in Spore - though after having the driver written for Spore installed, ( which I downloaded from lenovo's site ) I haven't encountered that problem so far. Also Second Life shuts down - thankfully it does not freeze the drivers. I understand that the model I have is not meant for gaming but if it can run Warhammer 40k: Soulstorm at meduim graphic settings (on widescreen) without a lagg I can't understand why it wouldn't be able to handle warcraft 3 - that even an ATi m200 express can handle. I mean an X3100 from Intel must be far more powerful. (Said ATi card laggs with older games like Unreal Tournament)
I have the latest driver - official - and a Win Xp pro Sp2. I always keep my system up to date - save for opsys but so far driver did not need sp3 - and virus clean.

Well, Unreal Tournament 2004 runs flawlessly on max graphics - though simple Unreal Tournament laggs like hell with all possible settings - also, as I said Dawn Of War and it's expansions run well on med graphics. The Suffering Ties That Bind runs also good on highest settings - though there is a bit of degradation compared to my tabletop pc's performance. Disciples 2 ran - of course - well, there were some texture problems with it but Heroes 5 ran quite well even on higher settings (as I mentioned it sometimes blunted down the textures but not always and it ran without a lagg). Alien Versus Predator 2 ran on max graphics, and there was no trouble, save for the aliens' special vision (that white thing that looks as if inverted colors) didn't work - aka was only a black screen - and that the crosshair of the smartgun was only a blank red/green block on the middle of the screen.Oh, and Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour works on highest settings without a lagg, along with Quake 3, and Jedi knight : Academy. It even runs Perfect World on high settings and only laggs in bigger towns - but that also might be because of the tremendous bandwidth usage that occurs. Even Red Alert 3 was able to run, but I would only advise that for RA fanatics, on low settings it was playable. Also, C & C: Tiberium Wars runs better than RA 3 , if you like that it is quite playable and worth a try. As you can see I have put it to it's limits to see what it can endure. Unreal Tournament 3 ran, though was gruesomely degraded and then it gave me the blue screen of death; so I quickly uninstalled that. Other than the forementioned program I had no real problems with the card, but the existing problems are a pain in the ... well we all know how bothering it can be when one is unable to play his/her favourite game (that should really run flawlessly).
Doesn't vista eat up too much of the system resources? A friend of mine was complaining about his n200 that vista is too slow on it and it eats up too much processor/memory.
Also, still no new on videocard front... Asked around if anyone knows, but I am guessing that maybe even Blizzard - referring to my Warcraft problem - shows more compassion to their forums and users than Lenovo, so I'll ask around there too.
