Problem with nokia software updater

I downloaded this,and when I go to launch the program it comes up with a configuration error, I have tried following the help guidelines but to no avail. Is there a way I can get this sorted, because I need to update the software on my n900.

Do you have a good net connection? If the update is on-going do not touch or do anything with the pc. The phone will definitely brick if you d/c it.

Problem with nokia software updater... PLS HELP

Everytime I try updating my 5233's software the update fails. It will start the update but when my phone goes into white screen my phone gets disconnected. It will try to reconnect but quickly disconnects. This will happen for a few times and then the the updater will prompt me that the upgrade failed because the device was disconnected. What can I do to prevent this?
My phone hasn't been updated yet nor hacked because it's new. i has software version 12.1.092.
I need help... Please...

Updating nokia3110c with nokia software updater - ...

I tried to update my nokia3110c with nokia software updater but failed every time. I think it is because of poor quality of my internet connection. My network provider doesn't support the update using phone . Is their any other way to download an install the updates. Because I can download other files without any problem. Or how I can change the settings to fix this problem

If you are unsuccessful at updating your phone via NSU, as it does require a stable and decent internet connection speed as you have stated, then explore other options such as updating at a friend or other family member's house on their computer. If you are still not having any success, then visit your local Nokia Care Centre and get them to update your phone to the latest firmware available.

Almost certainly PC Suite 6.83 rel_14.1 is the problem and it's successor is currently beta testing.
Sometimes uninstalling Nokia applications - PC Suite, NSU, Nokia connectivity drivers and cleaning out remnants for a clean install is only solution but this is a bit drastic!
I know some have returned to 6.82 rel_22.0 but if you try to use latest NSU with it, it corrupts it!

Problem Downloading Nokia Software Updater

Hi. This is my first time using this board so bare with me. Everytime I try and download the program 'Nokia Software Updater' for my N80 I constantly get the error message that I require 256MB free space and then the installation shuts down completely. Currently my system has 51GB free space on the drive and obviously has plenty of room. Anyone else ever suffer the same problem when downloading or know how to solve the problem? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think it is referring to RAM. If you only have 256RAM and you have a graphic card that takes 64 then you don't have enough and need to use a computer with more RAM.

Trouble with Nokia Software updater software

I have trouble with my Nokia software updater.
It "freezes" in detecting your phone picture.
Everytime there is a new version of NSU and first time I run it after installing/upgrading it works fine. But when I run it one more time it freezes.
Anybody who could help me???

Please do a search on this forum for "6280 software update" and you will have your answer.
Many people have written here about Nokia software updater that tries to flash their 6280 phones with V6.10 (intended for the 6288) and then breaks their phones.
I myself was busy downloading the firmware for a friends 6280 that was just minutes away from being flashed with 6.10 when I came across messages on many sites telling about the issue with the software updater and 6280 phones. I managed to save that 6280 from sure doom.
If you also searched before hand you would not have this trouble.
You need to take the phone to a nokia Service centre to have it flashed now and get it into a working state.

Problem running Nokia Software Updater

I own a Nokia N80 which I would like to update if poss.
I've downloaded and installed the latest PC Suite.
I've downloaded and installed the latest Software Updater.
However, when I run Software Updater I can get no further than the "Starting Program..." page. The horizontal cloured progress bar gets no further than under the "..." from the line above and refuses to go any further.
After about 5-10 mins I either lose interest or an error about runtime libraries comes up.
I have the same problem on both an XP Pro and XP Media Center PC.
Norton Internet Security has been allowed to listen for connections on all ports so I don't believe it's a firewall issue.
Anyone any ideas...much appreciate.

I have been having the same problems. Start to load, and the horizontal barber pole looking thing would just run forever.
I removed and reinstalled the software a few times.
I finally got the program to load, by rebooting, and starting the updater right away.
But then, no update available for my N80, waaaaaaaaa
I am in the US, using a Hong Kong purchased phone, with a Philippine SIM from Smart.

I read another post that someone else with a Hong Kong phone, (46.02) could not get an update either.
I will be in Amsterdam in 2 weeks. I will go to a Nokia service center there and see if I can get updated.

Problems with Lion Software Update service

I just recently upgraded our Xserve to Lion server so we could start deploying Lion clients. The upgrade seemed to go fine, but the Software Update service may end up being a deal breaker. I can get Lion clients to connect to the server for updates, that is not a problem. The problem is when Lion client says it needs to download additional software to run a program, in our case a Java runtime environment. When it looks on the software update server it says "The software is currently unavailable, please try again later." If I point it back to Apple it works just fine. We need to have our clients recieving updates locally for bamdwisth reasons, but if they cant get the software that they need then it makes having a local SU server useless. Anyone know how to fix that? And on a side note the new Server app that is supplied with Lion doesn't list SU as a service, and I can't figure out how to add or remove the services. Am I missing something? Thanks.

To access many of the Server Tools in Lion Server you'll have to go to apple's website and download the Server Admin for 10.7 Server. This is the familar to 10.6.x server admin tool that apple does not include as the standard set of tools. Once you download it you'll have access to these additional services via the GUI:

I have a problem with a software update!

I recently got a new macbook pro and I was doing a software update last night as it was required but then when it started to do the update the computer installed the software and then a barring noise came from the mac and it tried to restart 4 times before it eventually came back on. The software trying to install was Fireware 800 I think. Can anyone help with this?

Make sure to remove the current software by going to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Photosmart B210 > Uninstall..
Then go to Programs and Features and remove any remain item of the printer, any item should beging with HP, as well you may see the Read Iris software..
After uninstalling the software reboot your PC, download and install the updated software version below:
