Ok everytime I go into youtube then search for soemthing then it says cant connect to youtube I dont know why my internet is connect just fine I could connect to Safari and when I go on yahoo messenger app and this thing comes up saying connect to Itunes to turned ON push Notifications now I dont know what thte problem is??????

Problem with Notifications (Gnome 3.4.1)

Hey guys.
I just installed Arch with Gnome 3.4.1, and everything works fine. I just had two issues. The first one, was the Date/Time, and that i solved by reading another thread here.
The second problem is what i'm worried about...
The default behavior for notifications is to show the notification bar for some seconds, and then hide it, right? Then, if there's more notifications of that same program, put a counter on it.
The thing is, i have no such behavior. The bar don't show, and the notification counter do not work. I use Empathy, and when i receive more than one message, the notification counter doesn't appear, and i think, because of that, some extensions that use notifications counters don't work at all.
Not sure if i was clear, let me know if you need more details. I have vanilla Gnome Shell Theme, Icons and all the extensions are disabled. Everything was installed with 'pacman -S gnome gnome-extra'
Can you guys give me some light on this? Is it a upstream bug? Ubuntu with shell 3.4.1 seemed to work fine, but i really want to use Arch....

Counters is not working for me:
1) contacts that have already a chat WINDOW opened (chat window is not active)
2) contact that chat TAB is active (chat window is not active).
Red notification icon blinks only fast and gone - like something marks it as readed.
For any other contacts (someone send a message to you first [no opened chat window with that contact] OR TAB is non-active) notification counters is working fine.
I will try to add a new account and test on it. Mayby something is wrong with old configuraction files from gnome-shell 3.2...

OK, i've tested with fresh account and problem exists and sound notification works only for contacts sending a new message.

Just discovered that notification counters is not working when use -a option for notify-send command. Any other options works fine. Ex.:
notify-send -a empathy -i empathy test1 test2 - counter is not working
notify-send -i empathy test1 test2 - counter is working fine

No, it's not a problem with extension. Counter notifications is not working without it too.

Problem with notification centre in ios 7

Since installing Ios 7 i have a problem with the Notification Centre which i hope is just a setting i can change. The problem is that i play a number of ongoing games. These games send me notifications of free coins to use to buy clues, or in one or two case, a free letter reveal. I have found that when i get to my ipad at the end of the day, some of these games have offered multiple lots of free coins, spaced out over the previous 12 or so hours, plus a free letter reveal, but they are mostly only available by tapping the actual notification - they cant be obtained by opening the game via the app. Now, this is the problem which i hope someone can help with - when i tap on say the oldest of 4 notifications for any of the games, it opens the app and immediately awards me the free coins etc. then i want to reveal the free letter - i go back to the notifications to tap the second oldest message, but it has gone, as have all of the other messages for that game. Is there a way to keep the notifications that i haven't tapped on until i do so, or i delete them. This is really frustrating and it happens on every game that has multiple messages. I assume apple has made an assumption that once the game app opens, all of the notifications are available within the game but they assumed wrong. Can anyone help? Thank You

Problem with Notification

I have a problem with the Notification functionality: I show you the problem.
First of all, I want to specify Portal's Users and relatives Groups have been created in the LDAP of customer's company and we can only see(not modify) them in the Portal.
I have a folder in the Content Management called 'Notification' and I want to notify to a Group of users a document that exists in this folder(Notification) called 'Doc.'; now I select the 'Details' of 'Doc' and under menù 'Settings' I select 'Subscription'. Relative to 'Recipients' field I select button 'Select..' and in the new window(User selection), in the field 'Search' I set value 'Groups' and finally I select button 'Search'; list that compares below, is a list of User Groups that I can select for the notification.
First problem is that instead comparing the name of groups that exist in 'User Administration/Groups' menù(Ex:'IF-G-POR-COSTRUZIONI_LETTORE' ), here compares the Group's FQDN(Full Qualified Data Name)(Ex:'cn=if-g-por-costruzioni_lettore,ou=recipients,dc=italferr,dc=corp,dc=local,?'); second problem is that when I try to select a Group for the Notification, a Java Error appears in the Portal:

Problem with Notifications on Create User/ Change User Password

Hello,
I'm having a problem sending emails to users when an account is created in OIM.
I added a notification to the user and user's manager on the Create User task in the Xellerate User process definition but the emails are not being sent.
I know that if I create another task with the purpose of sending emails and invoke it through the response in the Create User task, it will work.
My aim is to avoid adding tasks for something OIM should be able to do OOTB.
I'm also unable to send an email when a password is updated.. I did the same thing as for the Create User and I know the task (Change User Password) is being invoked by looking at the logs but the emails aren't being sent.
Has anyone ran into such problems?
I'm having these problems in the Xellerate User process task.. i've added notifications in other process tasks (mainly approval tasks) and they are working fine.

I am just confuse with your response.Have you added the "Password Updated" task in xellerate user provisioning process?
Now if you changing password in OIM profile it will trigger "Change User Password" task not the "Password Updated" task and even if you add "Password Updated" task on Xellerate User provisioning task you can't see this task in Resource Details.
Now assume if you added your notification on "Password Updated" task of any resource which user is provisioned to even then when you change oim password it only trigger "Change User Password" task.So try to have your notification on "Change User Password" task.
Please clarify so that I can response correctly.

Problem with Notification update from backend (local notif)

I created a Local notification and uploaded the same to the server. I found the same notification in the backend and made some changes to it and then tried to sync the data to the MAM application but I got the following error message
Exception while proccessing method SMARTSYNC : java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while Smart Sync inbound processing: java.lang.IllegalStateException: State NEW_INSYNC does not allow this transition: srvMod
Any solution or suggestion would be helpful

Looks like a problem in the middleware. Can you check in merep_mon what the server is sending to the client for that particular notification?
It should ideally be a success message along with a Replace.
But I fear that it may be sending a modify message. Can you confirm this?
Also the latest SP is SP18 do you have any plans to upgrade?

Notifiche badge calendario spariscono/problem with notifications centre

Utilizzo le notifiche badge per il calendario ma dopo poco o se ne faccio un tap nel centro notifiche,spariscono tutte,mai successo.
Prima sparivano solo se facevo un tap e le altre rimanevano.
I'm using badge notifications for the calendar but if i touch It from notifications center,every notification go away and everything go away in 5 minutes from the notification centre.

Email problems with BB synched via BES. No email notifications and can't send replies.

This isn't a question, but more of a public service announcement for those like myself that manage to screw up their email settings. I recently had problems with my email in that I would not get audible or visual notifications of new email and I couldn't send replies although I could forward and create new emails. The problem is that I am using Desktop Manager on two PCs and only one is configured to access my corporate email account, the one that is redirected to the BB. The default settings of my Desktop Manager installation was to synchronize the device date and time automatically when connected to the PC. Connecting my BB to my home machine would cause the email problems. I had to wipe and reactivate to fix my problems.
So, if you want to use the BB on two PCs and one is not configured for the email account going to the phone... disable the auto synchronization option BEFORE connecting the device to that machine and launching Desktop Manager. It would also be nice if the Desktop Manager installer had an option to install on a PC that is used for backup/recovery and application loading only. The installer had two options IIRC and your choice was that the BB is used with BES or with a personal email account.

Internally, your invites are processed by the server.
If an outside sends a new invite to you, the server doesn't know about it until you add the event to your calendar app.
You'll find settings in Mail and Calendar apps (depending on client OS) to automatically add invites to the Calendar.
So to sum it up.
Internal users, processed in real-time directly by the server
External invites, must be processed by the client app, and depending on OS/Settings, could require manually adding or acknowleding. Also.. in 10.7/10.8 you will see an inbox tray in the Calendar app, your invites may show up there (and you'll need to click to ack)

I have a strange problem with Twitter for Mac. On both my home and office Macs. New posts appear in app window but there aren't any notifications even though notifications are set in preferences to show in both dock and menubar. Perhaps anyone noticed similar strange behaviour? go to Terminal and post this:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/support/lsregister -kill -seed
if it doesn't have that specific directory try this:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -seed
once the scanning is done (can be short or long, depends on how heavy your system is) RESTART the computer.
when you're back, go to Apple>system preferences>extensions.... guess who's there.

Problem with ipad 2 and push notifications

Hi, first of all excuse me for my english but i am italian.
I have a problem with my ipad 2 16gb only wifi, i have activated the push notifications of several app (like twitbird or IM+) but when i close this app i don't receive the pop up notifications of the message that other people send me, or the twit...and in fact i must to re-enter in the app to read the news!
I have also restored my ipad but nothing.
How do i fix the problem?
ps the fw of the ipad is 4.3.3...

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with app updates app on your iPad. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
