I am installed NSU v2.4.3 from Nokia beta labs site,and it must run on Win.7 as site said, but i can't
Who can help me pleas ?

There are steps to take to get video on the iMac in Windows 7 working.
Is this before or after you inserted your OS X DVD in Windows and installed the Apple setup?
If you hold ALT/OPTION on startup does either or both OSs show up?
OS X DVD isn't going to help you repair Windows 7.

Printing Photo problems with HP8500 + Win7 (64) bit.

I'm having major headaches with not bring able to print correctly with the HP8500. All my pictures are coming out darker then they should be. I'm using the windows 7 drivers but no color control.
I tried to put in different drivers from other printers but the only one that installed correctly in Windows 7 is Photosmart C309n but the printing comes out the same.
I can't seem to get colors correct. everything looks fine until it tries to print to the 8500. I tried using 4 different photo software.
With the win7 drivers there is a color management tab but no ICC profile is associated with it.
I'm using all things HP in this system including paper/ink.
can anyone point me in the right direction.

FYI, I've been having problems with Win7/64bit and HP8500dn. Here's the official response I received from HP "Please be informed that, For Windows 7 PC, the printer driver for this model is not available".

Problem with NSU 1.4

I been having trouble with this Software updater eversince install, i trying to run in and it will just stay on the splash screen for like few minutes then show me lost connection and something to do with firewall, i switch of both my Trendmicro firewall as well as windows still gave me this warning, been trying several ver from 1,3XXX till this 1.4XX none go pass the splash screen, really wondering what the problem, and btw i am runnnig on vista home premium.

You can make the NSU work with Vista in SAFE mode but then the drivers for USB connections won't work, so you still lose!
Anyone knows how to get the drivers to work with Vista in SAFE mode???

N70 Connection Problem with NSU

I am trying to update the Firmware on my N70. It connects perfectly to the PC Suite but after connecting (using a USB Cable) and opening the NSU, it gets to the point of searching for a connected phone, after around 30-40 seconds the PC suite icon in the system tray says the N70 is now disconnected. The NSU then says that it is 'unable to find phone' - after which the N70 then shows as connected again! Can anybody help please!

Problem with NSU

Yesterday I updated NSU to the latest version,and now it cannot start,only show "you must restart your system for changes to take effect" or something,even I restarted a hundred times,and cleaned all the registry entries,uninstalled NSU,then installed it again...NOTHING HELPED.It still shows "You must restart...." when I click on the icon.Any suggestions?I run XP SP3,and didn't have any problems til I updated NSU yesterday....

What I learned is that sooner Nokia PC Suite will be overlapped by Ovi Suite. This may be the reason why we are having an issue in downloading PC Suite. Also on updating software.
My suggestion is to uninstall the PC Suite once more. Then, install Ovi Suite. You may log on to this link http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite for the procedures.

T500 Problem with BIOS - Win7

I have a T500 2081CTO. I took a stab this weekend putting Windows 7 on it, but I haven't gotten very far. Aside from the fact that I am only finding BETA versions of drivers for it, my biggest problem is that the latest BIOS which purportedly adds Windows 7 support does not seem to work properly - it causes my system to take 20+ minutes to post!
I was successfully able to flash the BIOS with the latest version (3.09 released on Oct 9th, 2009), but it makes my laptop unusable. When I restart/power on the laptop, the screen will just sit there dark for 20-30 minutes and then all of a sudden it will come alive, post and finally load windows.
Anyone else have this same experience? Those who have updated to Windows 7 could you respond with any tips and tricks? The 2 things I'm most concerned about are power management and the switchable graphics. Without proper drivers to keep those under control, the laptop will run hot and burn through battery in minutes.

I experienced the same thing lately, after BIOS update the computer just sat for 10+ minutes the booting. I have now come the conclusion tha it has to do with version of your ECP (Embedded Controller Program).
In my case, I read the old log file from the first BIOS update found in directory where the update were installed.
It said that I had "7VHT12WW" and updated to "7VHT14WW". It was then my troubles began.
I downloaded the latest BIOS version for my ECP version and then "downgraded" the BIOS. After this my troubles were gone.

Problems with NSU

When I start the application it sticks at Starting Application. I have cleaned my registry, downloaded and installed new copies of NSU and PC Suite and I have restarted my computer numerous times. I have disabled all Firewalls and AV programs and attempted to forward ports in my router. I am at a lose here.
My phone is a Nokia N95 and its firmware version is 20.something. Apperently there is a firmware up to v35.something.
I am running windows 7 32bit home premium.
Please help me with this, it is frustrating to think that I bought this 500 dollar phone and the software to keep the phone up to date is not working.

First uninstall everything OVI/PC suite, remove all drivers, remove any other software which relates to phone like, Jaf or anything, restart PC, now only install NSU latest version. Make sure internet connection is working properly, launch NSU (Do not connect phone yet) if this works then connect phone and proceed further, Otherwise try it on a XP machine.

Problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7.

Hi guys. I have a problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7. I need to make div which width and left css properties should be dynamically changed. Inside this div i have an swf object. When i change width and left css styles for my div, it jumps on the page, but other browsers render that well. What can you suggest to fix this problem? Thanks

'Source play' and 'audio-video sync' problems with PE8 on fast WIN7 64 bit computer

I am transferring Hi8 videos, about 2 hours long, to my WIN7 64 bit computer with PE8. [Dell Mobile Precision M4400 Computer Workstation (Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 500GB/4GB); NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB] I seem to have several problems:
First, after importing the file (.avi), I get a message about ‘dropped frames.’
Secondly, when I try to play the video in the source monitor, the audio plays but the video doesn’t; it only shows the first frame [this is after waiting until the video is ?recognized? ] I can use the shift-arrow key and see that the video is there.
Thirdly, I can play the .avi file in other players, e.g., avidemux or PE pro CS5 on another computer. There, I see that the audio and video are not in sync; the audio can be up to 300 ms ahead of the video (as determined using avidemux).
Questions:
1. Why doesn’t the source monitor play the video? Is this a problem with PE8 (latest update as of 3 March 2011) on aWIN7 64 bit computer (intel duo core. 3 GHz).
2. Is the audio-video sync problem the result of the ‘dropped frames?’ How can PE8 correct this? Avoid this? Or, is it coincidence?

WMP v12 is dumb. Under properties, media, it says 'video.' However, avidemux gave me the information state above: video -- Codec 4CC: dvsd, frame rate: 29.971 fps; audio -- codec: PCM, channels: Stereo, frequency: 48 kHz.
So, back to the Questions:

SEVERE, MAJOR Problems with ITunes Video Playback on 64-bit Win7

So I got a new rig (ASUS G74SX running 64-bit Win7 Home Prem) after I figured my nearly 5-year old HP Pav dv9500t running 32-bit Vista Home Prem had put in good years of work. In using ITunes on the Vista system, I never really saw problems with its player on video podcasts.
Completely different story on the Win7 machine. Aside from all the other problems noted with ITunes itself (not the player) in this forum, there is this:
1. When something like UAC occurs, the video clip runs in the player, but the video is frozen (like a photographic still) while the audio continues to run on normally. Workaround: minimize then restore the player window, then the video part of playback returns. Of course that gets annoying doing that multiple times after a while.
2. With one video podcast (for example, The Young Turks podcasts), while the audio again continues normally, the video track lags unbelievably. The video appears in slow motion. The viewer risks a headache from vertigo if the viewer continues watching slow motion video unmatched with the normal audio.
At first I considered the possiblity that it was related to a 5400 rpm hard disk drive, which came with the new machine and I would not have normally have not bought myself, but I had someone buying it for me (my HP system only had 7200 rpm drives...what is ASUS thinking in letting Best Buy do a performance markdown?). Then I played that video podcast with VLC media player, and it absolutely had NO problem keeping up with the video and audio. (Another thing to like and prefer with this player is that you can keep the window on top.)
Seriously, the programming group at ITunes should be ashamed and maybe every member of its group should consider getting another day job. With each revision, ITunes seems to get worse.

My installation of version 10.6.x of ITunes does not have QuickTime.
As of version 10.5 of ITunes, QuickTime is no longer apparently bundled with ITunes, which clearly has its own player. In addition, I have used a minimal install of ITunes. This eliminates the install of the bug-ridden Bonjour service, which was filling up Windows event logs needlessly and crashing from time to time anyway.
Now although I installed ITunes only a few days ago in this new laptop, I did find ITunes in the Programs & Features page and clicked Repair. After the "repair," I played the video revealing the flaws of the ITunes player, and the playback problems were still there. I used the other media player and it played flawlessly.

Never mind, I already found the solution myself.
What I did wrong was:
- not copying the master image to the nbi folder
- selecting the netinstall-restore.dmg image as source to copy to my HD.
The thing is, when you create a netinstall image for 10.5, the image itself is already included in the netinstall image so you don't have to do anything else.
With the 10.4 image however, you also have to copy the master image to the NetBootSP0 directory.
In the *.nbi folder contains an netinstall-restore.dmg file. But that is only to boot you to netrestore, it's not the image itself.
Other alternative is to copy the images to another folder that you share with AFP and adjust the configuration of netrestore like described in this manual:

This manual was also how I figured out that I forgot to copy the image to the NetBootSP0 folder.

Have you completed all windows update including service Pack1? If not, please complete all the windows update then follow steps below to re-install all over.
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Problem with premiere pro and encore with win7 enterprise 64-bit.

We are a college with approx 500 pc's running win7 enterprise 64-bit. Premiere pro and Encore will only open with admin login, not user login. All other packages ok. Any suggestions as to why this is?

Our lab has just had CS6 installed on it, running Win 7 enterprise. A user account will open a Premiere Pro project. I've done it. That was only to check that everything worked ok. I edited a couple of clips and stuck them on a sequence (16:9 PAL DV) and it played them ok and the project was saved back to the USB hard drive OK.
I have also opened up encore, made a new project and saved it to the USB HDD. No assets were added to it, just checking that the preference files had copied from the central server to the machine, so that users have certain options already pre-selected.
What exactly are the problems with Win 7 enterprise?

Stability problems with Win7 x64 and Boot Camp 3.1...

Before I was running win 7 with Boot Camp 3.0 and On top of that I installed my Chipset and Graphics from Nvidias Website. System was running without any major problems.
Now I have win7 and BootCamp 3.1 and the laptop runs like crap... System freezes sometimes only for a minute most of the time I need to hold power button.
The last time I has ScanDisk start on me and start checking. it found about 200 missing files some unindexed and MFT bitmap was repaired...
Do not know why, I'm unable to figure out what was causing that.
Currently I have win7 x86 with bootcamp 3.1 installed and The system works good.
I think there is an issue with the 3.1 x64 driver package.
If anyone has any Ideas on what I can do to figure out why the system runs so unpredictable with 3.1 x64 drivers installed. I'm whiling to experiment and reinstall win7 x64 as many times as needed so i can send an error report to apple to get this issue fixed.

Wow, i've been running windows 7 64 bit in boot camp since I got my copy as a beta tester in July and never had any issues like you're describing. Boot camp 3.0 worked fine (other than the light in the audio port and minimal touchpad control, and the still present inability to dim the screen dynamically based on brightness around me). And I've had no problems with boot camp 3.1 so far. In the previous BC versions, I went to the nvidia site and downloaded whatever the current driver was for the video, but nothing specific for the chipset. With 3.1 I haven't done even that, just using what the boot camp update installed. Have you tried it with just the BC 3.1 drivers, not getting anything extra from Nvidia or anyone, just to see what happens from that point first?
About the only time I had any issues with diskchecking is when I accidentally close fusion and it abends my windows session. I make a point then of booting and telling it to ignore the disk check, editing the registry to reset the flag so it doesn't do it, then just run a disk check from within windows telling it NOT to fix anything, so that it can verify it's clean. I found the normal disk check in the preboot environment is horrendous on the MBP, takes me literally hours to run through despite it never finding anything to fix.

Firefox 6.0.1 causes extreme problems with ATI Catalyst 10.x drivers on a Win7 x64 system. Took me quite awhile to identify, but when I roll back to Firefox 6.0, no problems. Once Firefox recognizes this and reinstalls the 6.0.1 update then severe display driver problems occur causing very erratic display behavior and ultimately rendering the system inoperative. The problem appears to occur within a minute or two after Firefox has been opened and it occurs even if Firefox has been subsequently closed prior to the actual event taking place. I have attempted this 6 times just to ensure that the problem was associated with the 6.0.1 update.
