Problem with NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

Hello,
I bought a Graphic card, NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 but still is not working.
The PC where it is installed is HP Pavilion G5400it.
I don't understand if the problem is the PSU or something else.
The label of the pc's PSU show MAx. OUTPUT POWER: 300
I have installed many times the drivers, tried to reset CMS update bios and so on but nothing works.
If the problem is the Power Supply can someone address me to one that can fit without burn the PC?

Hello jekkino,
You probably need to install a new power supply.
Your current power supply is max at 300 and the graphics card has minimum of 300 and everything in the system needs power.

I just formatted

and bought NVIDIA GeForce 210.

upgraded to Windows 8.1 update 1 with

and after 6 days running everything correctly, a few days ago
returned to give me problems,
the screen sometimes freezes and will not
let me do anything and after a while

this cause by graphic card, on which graphic card you reformat your PC and update
.NET framework maybe cause this driver corrupted
my suggestion is try using internal graphic card, just for testing

MS6167 - Problems with NVIDIA GeForce FX5600 graphics card

Hi all,
tried to install a Nvidia GeForce FX5600 old PC of mine that the kids use, mobo is MS-6167. Could not get this to work. States that it cannot get enough resources (in Windows XP, Device Manager). I have tried to force reasign of IRQ from the BIOS on reboot, and even removed the sound card.
Could this be a power issue, though I assume the card would just not work or crash.
Any help apprecaited.

Ad libris: Meaning, I don't think your Nvidia card can do AGP 2X. Bad news could be you'll have trouble fitting the previous card. Your best bet would be to get a powerful PCI-slot only card.

Anyone has problem with NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600M GT?

I've a new MBP 15". The laptop is very cool but in these day I've noticed some problem with the graphic card. When I use the 9400M everything is well. But, when I switch to the 9600M GT a lots of problem occured:
1) when I try to catch a screenshoot (using cmd + Shift + 3) my system freeze for 1 minute (I can move the mouse, but I cannot do anything else); with the 9400M the screenshoot appear in 1-2 seconds!
2) When I'm using Mail and I want to open the documents folder using the Dock Icon, the system freeze for 15-20 seconds!
3) This morning I was using Mozilla and when I try to open Itunes the system completly freeze and the only things to do was reboot!
I've tried to do the test with the DVD-ROM (using d at boot) but no problem was found! I've update the system and used the utility disk (I also used Main Menu to cleanup the trouble).
Anyone has the problems? As I said the problems are only with the 9600M GT. Could be a driver problem or hardware failure?

I have just called Apple Care Germany.
Somehow they have not heard of the issue. They have checked a couple of things (System Profiler Data) and advised me to run Apple Hardware Test (no issues found on my MBP). Nevertheless I explained that the "freezing" behavior still exists (on my machine: only on 9600M GT only on Battery; freeze takes about 40s). I was still in the 14 day period.
They said this behavior is not intended and if I want I can get the machine exchanged for another machine.
So I would suggest you gather information on how to reliably reproduce the issue and call Apple Care!
Also one thing worth to consider: There seem to be issues with some 9600M GT chips. The thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1767221 covers a "Black Screen of Death" which occurs for some users when you play games using the 9600M GT. I checked this bug on my machine and so far could not reproduce. So I am kind of worried that there may be something seriously wrong with the design of the graphics solution. And simply swapping the machine may result in other issues when using the 9600M GT.

Problems with NVIDIA Geforce Go 7600 display driver for Qosmio G30

A few days ago my Qosmio G30 ( Windows XP) didnot start properly. First the srceen become white and after a few reboots the screen shows a lot figures and after that I get the a lot of vertical stripes over the screen. I only can start in protected mode of windows but the vertical stripes stay.After consultating the Toshiba help desk I find on the Toshiba website a driver for the Nividia Geforce Go 7600.
But I cannot installed it because Microsoft Windows XP reported that the software have no digital signiture. When I ignore that message the installtion goes on but without result. The computer gives the message that the Nvidia 7600 is not installed properly.
Please have someone a solution of my problem. (Johnnyboy have reported the same problem )

I sounds like a dying video chip, or at least my p100 had simmilar issues when it needed the video replaced. Odd characters on the screen at random, plus locking up occasionally. Mine failed from excessive heat.

Visualization problems with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470

I've been suffering of this problem for a long time, since I switched to Photoshop CC and it happens with every NVDIA driver I installed.
When I open a photo and zoom in and out a few times, drag it, arrange two photos like in the picture, I get those red stripes and eventually PS crashes.
If I disable use graphical GPU in the prefences the problem disappears.

I just checked that for my manufacturer (Point Of View) and gpu model, I've got the last BIOS update installed. I'm pretty sure the card is installed properly and doesn't overheat. I'll try to contact NVIDIA, too.

It's a little late for me to jump into your discussion, I only read it when I posted an issue with the same model.
Well, I hope you got it fixed soon enough in 2012, because as I learned in the past few days after purchasing that model and reading up on the issues, Apple stopped the care for this fault on December 7th or so in 2012.
Seeing that people still get problems due to that graphics card, I should try to return the used one I just bought. I might run well now, but who knows how long.

Flickering screen on 13" MBP 2010 with NVIDIA GeForce 320M

Did anyone experience display issues with his / her 13" MacBook Pro (2010) with NVIDIA GeForce 320M? I've been using mine for several weeks and every now and then, the display starts flickering and I have no clue why. Unfortunately, the problem is not easily reproducible and the hardware test from the shipped DVD doesn't report any problem.

I did no longer experience the issue unfortunately / fortunately. No idea what was causing it.
My MacBook Pro is now at Gravis for repair because the left command key keeps popping out. According to the technician there the key itself is broken and he doubts that I can have it repaired under warranty. Questionable quality if keys break during normal usage. It's also the first keyboard in my life that breaks and I really don't hammer on the keys. Maybe I will end up ordering a replacement key on eBay.

I tried last week. The best I could get was a discount on the repair, but the damage to my logic board by the GPU caused it to no longer boot. The program ended in December last year, but it has been extended in the past.
If you have no other damage you might be able to get a flat rate tier 1 repair if you are in the USA.

I think about buying the new Macbook Pro Retina with Nvidia Geforce GT 750M 2GB Graphicscard.
I want hardware which works fine with both Premiere Pro, AE CS6 and the later versions! (Maybe i want to upgrade some time).
What is the best configuration on a MacBook Pro that i can work with CS6 and later versions as good as possible?
What is Mercury Playback Engine?
What's CUDA?
Can i use this GPU acceleration on the latest Macbook Pro with Nvidia GT 750M card in CS6, CC and CC14?

Considering the new 15"...( 13" is USELESS) ...Macbook Pro starts at over $2,500 with the necessary i7 CPU, ( forget i5).....you would be WAY better served to go with a powerful Windows gaming laptop for HALF that price from a company like Asus,or, others. If money is no object and you MUST go Apple, then, there are SOME pros and some cons.
1. Pro - has Thunderbolt, for hi-speed EXPENSIVE external storage, or, for Hi -res external monitor....however, MY 2 year old Asus laptop HAS a "thunderbolt" port , TOO...which I use to drive a hi-res monitor.
Con - though NVidia 750m 2GB GPU is adequate for much of the CUDA accelerated operations, newer Windows laptops have more advanced 800 and 900 series GPUs with far more video memory...for HALF the price !
2. Pro - PPro and AE runs best with Windows 8.1
Con - Mac operating system in the recent past has had issues and hiccups vs. Windows in running Premiere Pro....I'm not sure if all that has been fixed at this time.
3. Pro - newest mac book pro uses PCI SSD storage...amazing transfer speed of data !.....however, a 1TB flavor of this costs an additional $1,000
Con - not sure of the maximum amount of system memory that can be installed in MBOOK PRO..."Apple Chat" guy says 16GB.....you need at least 24 GB...better to have 32 GB for best operation. Also, some Windows gaming laptops offer internal RAID options for high speed storage ,or, at least two internal HDD bays for SSDs.
In addition : The "Mercury Playback Engine" is a feature of Premiere pro which allows for the "acceleration" of certain effects and operations on the timeline...in many cases eliminating the the need to "render previews" to see what you are doing. When coupled with a capable NVidia GPU, this acceleration can produce a TEN TIMES IMPROVEMENT in processing the effects,or, operations, ( like "scaling" and resolution conversions ) using the NVidia ONLY CUDA technology.
In summary, the 16GB memory limit , the lower level NVidia mobile GPU, and EXCRUCIATING HIGH PRICE all tip the scales for me to say : NOOOOOO !!!!!......DON'T DO IT !!!
IF a laptop is a MUST.....go with a Windows gaming rig and READ as much as you can first. If a desktop is a possible solution, you can get WAY better performance than a laptop...especially with today's Haswell E CPUs and the X99 motherboards.
I would wait a little bit for all the machines to hit the market which have the NEW " NVMe" PCI SSDs in them, or, build your own on a motherboard which will NATIVELY have that feature.

This laptop I am on right vnow has a n nVidai GTX 765M and it works beautifully on Premiere CS6, CC and CC 2014. You do have to add it to the Adobe file "cuda_supported_cards.txt file or simp[ly delete it. I hope you know that you have to be plugged in to the AC line to successfully what to edit with a laptop. Also you can improve the GPU performance if you reset the memory clock on the GPU to 1500 MHz from the default 1000 MHz. It is because nVidia.slows down the clock to conserve battery. If you register on the site you can see my results on our Premiere Pro BenchMark (PPBM) site.

Can I run the ATI Radeon x1900 XT along with NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT together in my mac pro?

The X1900 would have to go in double wide slot, you would have to run one or both at 8x.
I think something like ATI 2600 might make more sense. The 8800GT is listed as discontinued (have a thread or two about it being EOL). So unless you have the 8800GT may not be an option anyway.
The 4870 + 2600 combo would be best I can think of for us with 1st gen now.
This assumes you simply need to drive 3 monitors. And don't want to wait and see if the Nvidia eVGA GTX 285 (doubtful) will support 1st gen EFI32's.
