Problem with Oracle Adaptive Access Manager 10g

Hello, I'm trying to install the OAAM following the Installation and Configuration Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12057_01/doc.1014/e12050/toc.htm).
In The Package Contents section speaks of a zip file named oaam_bin.zip but never says where could I download it. Anybody know where do I get it?
I have already downloaded the Oracle Adaptive Access Manager 10g (10.1.4.2.0) CD1 named V11415-01.zip from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101401.html but it is not the zip file that the documentation talks about.
I'm looking for in many sites but i have no luck.

The documentation you are referring to is for 10.1.4.5.0 and not 10.1.4.2.0. After installing version 10.1.4.2.0, install patch 10.1.4.3.0. You will see oaam_bin.zip and the necessary files in it. The patch number is 6987695.
You might be interested in patch 10.1.4.3.1 (#7324863) also. Check the readme file for details.

My platform is AS 10g (10.1.2.0.2) with Adapters (10.1.2.0.2) on Solaris 10. I am connecting to a Siebel 7.8 instance running on Windows 2000 SP4.
I would be very grateful of any help you could give.

Hi,
There could be couple of possible reasons for this. Please see below:
1. When you configure a adapter target for Siebel 7.7 or 7.8, do not supply a value for "Siebel Server" field. Please see details related to this in the "Defining a Target to Siebel" section of the Siebel adapter user guide.
2. If the adapter is installed in the UNIX platform, then necessary encoding should be added to the Application Explorer and the Application Server. Please see the details for this in the "Establishing a Connection (Target) for Siebel" of the Siebel adapter user guide.
Let me know whether this sorts out the issue or not.

There are posts on the OLAP forum covering this problem. Anthony Waite from the OLAP Product Management team has provided the following information:
e new, default Model View in AWM 10.1.0.4.0 is based upon the OLAP Analytic Workspace API (a.k.a. AW/XML). Just to recap and further clarify my earlier post, you must pass the following requirements in order to use it:
1) Be sure to be using the Enterprise Edition of the Oracle Database 10g.
SQL> select banner from v$version where banner like 'Oracle%';
You should see Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition.
2) Be sure to have the Data Warehouse database configuration or the OLAP Option enabled.
SQL> select parameter, value from v$option where parameter='OLAP';
You should see OLAP TRUE.
3) Be sure that the RDBMS 10.1.0.4 patch set has been completely installed. Users often miss the required Post-Installation Steps such as running catpatch.sql.
SQL> select comp_name, version, status from dba_registry;
You should see VALID and 10.1.0.4.0 for the OLAP components.
4) The Oracle Database must have the compatibility mode of 10.1 to use the Model View as it relies on the unique features found in Oracle Database 10g.
SQL> select name, value, description from v$parameter where name ='compatible';
You should see 10.1, not 9.2 or earlier.
5) Please refer to the patchnote.htm that is bundled with 10.1.0.4.0 patch set. Only you are aware of what type of database configuration you have. You will want to pay close attention to "7.2.1.3 Set the SHARED_POOL_SIZE and JAVA_POOL_SIZE Initialization Parameters" and "7.2.2 Upgrade the Release 10.1 Database".
Basically, I believe you have missed these required steps after installing the 10.1.0.4.0 patch set from the OUI: (pasted from the patchnote.htm)

i have a problem with orarrp utility. the printeroutput is sometimes mirrored or only a blank sheet. is this a known problem? are there any workaraounds available? what can i do to fix the problem? please help me.

But i have not installed IAS at all. I have only Forms and Reports 10g and Oracle database installed. As you said it only save on IAS, but can we save it on local machine. Is there any other alternative.
Again my second issues is --> I want to remove Mail option and rename Cache option to PDF from Destype combo box which appears at run time.

if any report is failed, then complete reports are going to fail ,not only in the current user but also all the users.

Now I need to compile all my application with oracle client 9, then I have removed client 10 and installed client 9.
But this is the problem, in References of my project I can't find Oracle.DataAccess.dll ! then I can't compile my project!
In previous installation (with client 10) the dll was located here
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\bin\
the direcotry installation of client 9 is the same but I can't find it on my pc...
How can I switch to client 9 from client 10 without rewrite all code??

Ok now I have the following situation...
I've downloaded and installed this version ODAC92070.exe and I can find the file
C:\oracle\ora92\bin\Oracle.DataAccess.dll ...
In my reverence in visual studio2005 I delete the old file and I load the new, but qhen I try to compile this error appears
'Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleDataReader' does not contain a definition for 'HasRows'
why??
this method is not supported in oracle client 9?

Oracle Adaptive Access Manager UIO Integration Issue

Hello fellows!
I'm trying to integrate one app using the Univesal integration option (UIO) in Discovery mode With Tomcat 5.5.
I already have installed the OARM and OASA and already have configured the proxy using apache.
My doubt is about the xml config files, to be more specific these ones : UIO_Settings.xml and TestConfig.xml.
In the oracle manual, we can see a example of TestConfig.xml, but I can't understand the proccess of authentication using this method.

You need to create interceptors in the TestConfig.xml file that look for certain URLs and conditions in the HTTP traffic. UIO sits there and listens to the HTTP traffic. When it sees a URL that matches a URL in its TextConfig.xml file, it will evaluate the interceptors that have a URL match and it will evaluate the conditions block in the interceptor. If they match, UIO will execute the filter block and condition block.
You need to look in the UIO log file to see the traffic that UIO is watching. Tools like HTTP headers also help you watch the traffic and create interceptors to trap the HTTP traffic.
The sample interceptor code shown in TestConfig.xml is written for a sample application called BigBank.
For an example, look at request interceptor "Phase1BigBankLoginPostRequest." It is watching for a request for "/bigbank/login.do". When it sees this request from the user, it will then evaluate the condition block to see if the request method is a POST. If this is true, UIO will execute the filter block. Many interceptors also have action blocks that cause the user's browser to request another URL (most often through the use of a redirect).
There's lots more to say about this, but I recommend reading all the UIO documentation.

One good way to debug the XSL stylesheet issue is to apply the XSL outside of OAM with input XML and see if you get the results. You can use tools such as XML SPy for XSL development and testing.
This error is more in line with XSL syntax and processing.

1. Install IIS webser and webgate
2. Create authentication scheme which protects / of IIS web server.
Create a Form Authentication Scheme(this scheme should protect OBIEE and EBiz resource) which will have challenge redirect to IIS web server where IWA is configured and / is protected.
Login Flow:
1. User tries to access ebiz or obiee resource.
2. Form Authentication Scheme will challenge redirect to IIS web server where IWA is configured.
3. As IWA is configured. User will be automatically get ObSSOCookie.
4. User gets redirected back to the requested resource.

URGENT : Challenge questions query: Oracle Access Manager 10g

Hi all,
This is a query regarding password challenge questions in Oracle Access Manager 10g. We have created password policies for a specific container in OID (say cn=xxx,cn=users,dc=oracle,dc=com) and it is working fine.
In order to exclude certain set of users (say user ABC ) for password policies, we have set the obpasswordchangeflag to false for those users which are in same container for which password policy is created.
When we try to login to the application with the user say ABC, I am not seeing any reset password page - I am happy till this point. However it is showing Configure Challenge questions page. Is there any way to bypass this page? Or is this the expected behavior?
This is very urgent and prompt reply is very much appreciated.

This is expected behaviour. In order to exclude the password policy management for some certains user for particular domain/container. please add the below configuration parameter to your OAM10g password policy.

With the new Oracle8i dataase server another service has been added.
If you want to user the OEM you have to install The Managment Server.
The Managment server has its own user and privileges and is recommended when using OEM.

Problem with ORACLE database

I am facing some problem with ORACLE database while configuring one JDBC scenario in the receiver side. I have configured one JDBC scenario like FILE TO JDBC. As JDBC is at receiver side i have provided the input file with the following format ,

So when i have tried to send this input file to process through JDBC receiver side then i have faced the below error :
FATAL ERROR: Column 'flag' does not exist in table 'employee'
Then I have tried to check with sender side processing of JDBC adapter. By using the SQL statements as
SELECT * FROM EMPLOYEE WHERE flag='NO'
UPDATE EMPLOYEE SET Flag='YES' WHERE flag='NO'
Here it worked fine.
Now my question is,
If the same adapter is working when we are writing a query directly(sender side), then we must also allow case independence in the auto generated SQL part(receiver side).
The JDBC drivers for both SQL server and Oracle, supports the same java code, for accessing the DB, irrespective of the case of the column names.
Please clarify this doubt as soon as possible.

MB-Air uses maverick downloaded yesterday - upgrade from mountain lion. MB uses snow leopard still, as i am quite used to it and am thinking of upgrade if mavericks work fine on air. Also have parallel on snow leopard but it is no longer supported according to mac website - if i upgrade am i going to lose my parallel and will have to buy a new one!!!

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

I have successfully installed it immediately after OS installation. But today, i have decided to deinstall it and go for Oracle 10g version for 32 bit.
Everything went normal during installation, but i can see the services is not present in services.msc. Also its throwing some exception for dbca, netca
Now i tried to deinstall it and again go for 11g. But even the same story here..
Can anybody give me a solution for this..

There are MeaLink notes on how to eradicate an Oracle install from Windows, but it boils down to this:
Stop all Oracle services
In the registery:
- Delete all oracle services from the register (HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
- Delete the entire Oralce folder from HKLM\Software
reboot
Delete the ORACLE_HOME directory and any other Oracle related directories/files. Offhand, it seems like there is an Oracle directory under Program Files.

Does anybody have the same problem like this? I've used the same method in my previous project to create oracle.jbo.domain.Date with current time using java.sql.Timestamp, but I don't know why this error happened.
