Problem with outgoing email on Outlook Express 6

I am getting the following error message when attempting to send email:
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's ...
I have done the Verizon checkup and used the "helper" to no avail.  My settings are configured as the tutorial detailed.  I need help!  Thanks!

For the sake of example, we are going to pretend that we are setting up fictional account "[email protected]" and the password for logging into that account in webmail is "fakepassword" - Again, this is a fictitious account for the sake of an example.
The settings for using Verizon's servers would be:
Incoming Server: incoming.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes
Username: fakeacct
Password: fakepassword
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): No
Port: 110
Outgoing Server: outgoing.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes (You can set it to use the same settings as incoming, or manually enter the username and password.)
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): No
Port: 25 (although 587 also works.)
These settings should work unless you have a Verizon/Yahoo account, in which case the server names are: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net -and- outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

  • POP Mail - Go Daddy: Problem with outgoing emails

I just set-up an email account on Go Daddy with my domain name. I want to use Mail as my client and followed all the instructions to set-up the POP mail in Preferences/Account.
The problem I have is with outgoing email which get rejected due to password not accepted. But the inconsistency is that I can receive email in Mail using the same password.
    What's up here? Please help!

What is the precise error you are receiving from the server? Does it say it cannot authenticate with that username and password?
What do you have your SMTP server set as? Is it SMTPOUT.SECURESERVER.NET? If so, try these different ports.
    SMTPOUT.SECURESERVER.NET:25
    SMTPOUT.SECURESERVER.NET:80
    SMTPOUT.SECURESERVER.NET:3535
It could be that your host does not allow you to send mail through SMTP servers other than theirs. If using the above servers and ports does not work, try your ISP's SMTP server.

  • Problems with outgoing email on Y!Mail

The first week I used my free Yahoo email on the E61i I was fine. It's strange that I'm able to receive email from Yahoo, but I'm unable to send email out. I've tried everything from:
    Outgoing:
    smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com (worked for awhile)
    smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    smtp.next.mail.yahoo.com
I have 2 questions regarding this problem of mine...
Could the problem be from T-Mobile or Yahoo or perhaps both?
If I purchase Yahoo Mail Plus will I be able to send emails?
I'm trying not to use a third party email since it's not push email capable...so please help me.
    thanks in advance,

It worked for a while with the first server adress? is the ports correct?
usually if the server your using is not "open" you have to use your operators server for outgoing email. witch will send the mail first via your operators server and then trought your email.
i could be wrong here tho

  • Problem with outgoing email and 1.0.1

Outgoing email seems slower, especially with SSL enabled. I am configured with IMAP to exchange, BUT use smtp.dslextreme.com for outgoing. The email will send out but it will take over a minute. I did not have this problem with 1.0 and I had the same configuration with 1.0.

Well, i decided to use my gmail account for my outgoing smtp configuration and that works great, and with ssl. So i am going to say my problem is with dslextreme and use google for outgoing now. Thanks Apple, this phone kicks ***.

    Hi,

What error message do you get when you try to send an email? And receiving emails works, just not sending?
Did you change anything else in your account definition besides the port? And is the "My server requires authentication" box in the Outlook account definition still checked?
We need more information to help.

  • How do i set an automatic spellcheck for every outgoing email in outlook express?

    complete question above

    Hi,
It depends on which email client/agent you are using
For Outlook: similar to other spell check in Office suite.
    For Hotmail: try this
    For Yahoo: try this
    For Gmail: try this

Re: Set up Telstra email on Outlook Express (5.5 or 6.0)
    Hello.
I bought my parents a new laptop. They insisted they couldnt access their bigpond email using it and have created an outlook account.email address, and now after reading this page I think I know why! They are now trying to import their old contacts. Can you advise? Their old email address was [email protected] and their new address is [email protected] Is that what they shouldve done? ie created a new email address?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Email links (outlook express)

    Windows XP.
Checking my emails via outlook express is fine with the exception of when links are contained within the email.
The source is fine as i know them, clicking on the web link within the email just freezes the outlook express, in fact the only cure is to restart the PC. This is something that has only just occured, but don't seem to fined any settings that might help......Using BTyahoo mail is fine, links work ok, its just when using outlook express.

  • I'm having problems with excessive email usage on my iphone 4/ios 7. Just noticed that (settings/usage) it was using 900  mb. I deleted all my mail, deleted the mail account, and it still says it's using 661 mb. My ipad uses a fraction of that.

I'm having problems with excessive email usage on my iphone 4/ios 7. Just noticed that it (settings/usage) was using 900+ mb. I deleted all my mail, deleted the mail account, turned the phone off and back on, downloaded any remaining mail on the server to Outlook on my computer, and it still says it's using 661 mb. My ipad uses a fraction of that.
Background: I recently (December) bought an ipad and set up icloud for contacts and calendar, but NOT mail. My email provider is Verizon. I use computer, iphone, and ipad to check my email; eventually I download it from the server using Outlook on the computer and then delete any remaining emails from the phone and ipad. I can't find info on this problem anywhere.

    Howdy there COUGAR444,
It sounds like your iPad all of a sudden seems to be restarting out of no where. If you haven't called AppleCare yet, I would start with quitting either the app that seems to be causing the issue, or all the apps if a single doesn't seem to be the culprit.
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Issue with signatures viewed in outlook express

I have a signature I use containing business contact details etc, used in all emails.
If I send an email to a computer using outlook express the signature appears as normal.
If however I attach a attachment when viewed in outlook express the signature appears twice.
The second one below the first correct one but larger than the first. That's the main issue I need to solve but only appears if there's an attachment.
The same email received in mail on the Mac look ok though.
The second problem thats not really important but worth mentioning.
The first signature in the email in outlook express has a line above and below,
Again this doesn't appear if that same email is viewed in Mac mail.

Not an entirely satisfactory solution but changing to plain text seems to get around this problem.

  • Problems with incoming emails

After going through tons of support discussions and trying all that i could i would like to ask your help guys.
As header suggests im having problems with incoming emails on mac mail (4.6)  (outgoing mails are working perfectly)
Yesterday evening i noticed that i cant receive emails (wheel just kept spinning without downloading anything but webmail and my phone mail app show that there are tons of unread emails)
Today around 10AM it worked for second (after messing around with settings (which i did not touched again) but when came back from lunch --- ***** not working again)
I checked that i have correct incoming & outgoing server names, correct passwords and all other settings like SSL (port995) are ok.
Confirmed from my Email Service Provider that their servers, my quota etc are working propperly
Mac mail Connection doctor does not show any red lights so it is ok
Someone said that "unable to load" can be caused by "corrupted" email and i should Rebuild my mailbox to see if if might show what message is f*** up. => did that and it just stays in "Fetching new email" and below reads "preparing to retrieve messages"   and again nothing.
I tried to make new account in Mac mail client and it is not helping ... same thing  Nothing.
I tried to install thunderbird and create new account in there, got it to work for first time i tried but result was the same ... it only downloaded some messages and stopped working.
Previously when i used to launch mac mail app on my laptop it always asked "do you want to connect to this server bla bla bla" => click ok and it downloaded everything but now i dont even get that pop-up message. (i think it disappeared after making account in thunderbird client and clicking "always trust" which did not help as it is still not downloading)
I would really appreciate your help cos im going mad with this problem and i cant get any help from my ESP
    PS. im using POP settings.
    Thank you in advance!
    Jimi

Just remembered that i took printscreen from thunderbirds error when first attempted to set up new account. And now when looking at this it is the same message that i got every time when launching mac mail client. But as said this error went away after clicking "allways trust" (it does show my ESP name and due date is sept.2013")
    And error message was
"Mail cant varify the identity of "autodiscover."mydomain"......".
The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "autodiscover....."
