Problem with parallax scrolling moving around randomly

I have an ipad air. My problem is with the parallax scrolling. It just seems to be moving randomly around the screen even when the ipad is steady and it's quite difficult to get the ipad to change orientation when I stand it on its side. I've reset the ipad and turned it on and off a few times. Has anyone been having this problem and know how to fix it. I know you can turn it off but I don't really want to.

I am experiencing the exact same problem with my Ipad Air. Did you manage to find a solution yet? Im hoping it isnt a hardware problem either. Orientation not really co-operating. Background image moving around the whole time as if trying to settle, even when device dead still?!

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. This is a performance issue with IE 11, so the only current way to make the site less jittery is to have fewer effects or group objects with the same effect then apply the motion to the group. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can also post in our feature requests section how you'd like to see easing added to Muse, because that would move all of the objects together much more smoothly than they do currently. Chrome and Firefox in particular have great built in easing so these sites usually look better on them.

Responsive Design with Parallax Scrolling

I have read tons of articles and done many tutorials on the parallax scrolling effects available in Muse. However, I need tips on how to make your designs as repsonsive/fool proof as possible for different screen sizes. When I view some of my sites on a very large screen, I don't like all the blank space that appears when you have the secondary section set up with parallax scrolling effects.
It really helped me to see the ParallaxFX file that Adobe put out. While I can now execute most of the effects, I still feel that my web designs are not safe for the wide variety of screen sizes out there.

Here is a site that appears to work on all browsers. No matter what size your screen is, and no matter how much you zoom in and out, the integrity of the design is still preserved.

You can use pinning, 100% wide rectangles and text frames, inline images, fullscreen slideshows, etc to achieve partial responsiveness.
Basically use the key features in a way so that it shows the similar effect.

Problem with Preview and PSD files - random gray square

Hi guys, hope you can help...
I've got a problem with Preview and PSD files.
If I open in Preview both an original jpg straight from my reflex and the photoshop version of the same picture, the psd file presents a gray square (of what it seems unrendered image) in a random area of the photo (sometimes in the center.). The square is quite big...
If I zoom in or zoom out it disappears...if I scroll to another photo and then back to the psd, the square it's there again...sometimes in a different position.
I've tried the same psd on my older iMac with leopard...and got no problem at all.
I suspect it got something to do with my Ati...
(this is the second iMac 27...the first went back for gray banding on the lcd screen and flickering and yellow tinge........)

maybe I'm onto something...
I've just found out that opening Preview in 32bit mode (instead of default 64bit) works flawlessly with any psd files. If I switch back to 64bit mode, Preview is much faster but the gray square comes back...
It seems like the i7 is much faster than the Ati....
Any more realistic ideas?

Why is the webpage jumping all over the place with parallax scrolling?

Hi all, I'm getting a little frustrated here... I've built a looooong (10,200 pixel) parallax scrolling site, when I click 'Preview' it plays like a dream, but when I render the HTML, view in browser or publish to business catalyst to view, it just jumps all over the place. I realise that the page is extremely long, I'm thinking it could be that but just need to clarify it before I rework it all and maybe find out after, that it was something else that was causing it to happen.

I have found the problem, but not sure where to find the solution as I'm pretty new to Adobe products.
I built another site to see if I had the same problem, this time I made it shorter to see if the length was the problem. I put in some elements and 'assets', added parallax scroll key frames, left out pretty much most other things to see if I could pin the problem down. I found that I had the exact same problem.
In the Muse preview it scrolls with the mouse like a dream when I grab the scroll bar and drag it down. But when I preview in business catalyst, export HTML or preview in browser, it goes crazy and won't let me get to the bottom. Further to that, when you scroll back to the top, everything is out of place and gets worse every time you scroll down and back to the top.
I have a touch screen computer and tried to scroll the screen with my finger rather than dragging the scroll bar down with the mouse. The website works like a dream when I scroll with my finger, even when I scroll back to the top everything stays in place and the whole site works lovely! I then tried the other, long website to see if this was the same case and it was exactly the same case. It scrolls with a finger like a dream, but has a fit when you drag down the scroll bar with a mouse.
My next question would be could I somehow disable some kind of touch scroll option in only the desktop version of the site, but leave it active in mobile and tablet sites? If I can do this can you please advise me on how to deactivate it, I think that should solve the problem.

My Page is flashing with parallax scrolling....

I am having an issue that my page "flashes" when using parallax scrolling.

it occurs at the bottome section of the page as you scroll down.
Any thoughts as to the cuase or remedy for this would be much appreciated!
As a side note I am also trying to resolve another dilemma where in the same section, I am trying to hide the type that comes in from the right for a portion of the page. You will see it come in over the browser area, then under other elements (which I want). I tried to place a rectangle over that area and tie it to the edge of the browser to have it go "full width" but that is not working.

If you want to obscure the text before it reaches the page, I think you'll need to draw an opaque object on top and set the scroll motion settings for that object so it stays in the position where it needs to be to obscure the text as the text is sliding across.

Problem with Vertical scroll in table control

Dear All,
I am facing a problem with table control in module pool program. currently it displays 6 lines, but it does not display the vertical scroll button, even though when I fill data in the six rows and hit enter.
I have set the vertical scroll option on the table control properties also.
Can someone help me by sending some sample code?

If you have already selected the properties of vertical and horizontal scroll bar then no other operations needed .. if the number of rows increases then that of the table control , you will automatically see the Vertical scroll in your table control ..
if still you dont see it then write back ..

Problems with a 3120 - shuts off randomly

Hi there.
I've owned my Nokia 3120 for about 2 and a half years now, so I guess it may be getting a little long in the tooth, but I haven't had any problems with it. Recently however, it has begun shutting off randomly, possibly as a result of the odd bump and scrape it's taken through the years (I have a toddler, and toddlers love to throw things). Any advice on what could be happening to the phone, and if I'm probably better off getting a new phone?

Well, the plot has thickened on this particular little beastie. It hasn't shut off randomly in a bit - but I've noticed that if I try to write a text message 9/10 times it will freeze if I type more than about 15 characters and will stay like that a sec, go blank, and then return to the normal wallpaper screen as if nothing had happened with no backlight. It takes a sec for it to read the sim card, and then I can use my phone as normal, providing I don't want to text anyone.
I do not believe that the battery connections have anything to do with this problem, judging from the fact that I have swapped the battery and ensured that the pins connecting it to the phone are in the same order as the phone I swapped the battery from.

100% Height with Parallax Scrolling?

I have an anchor point style parallax scrolling, I was wondering if I could have 100% height of my slideshow or image background when i maximize my screen, as you can see their is a white space below it that I do not like

Hi,
As of now, Muse does not offer the option of 100% height objects. You can use the fullscreen slideshow widget if you want the image slideshow across your complete page.

Problems with file copying/moving

Hi!
I've got 2x 120GB Maxtors in SATA0 RAID configuration, and one WD 100GB on the IDE bus. Now my problem is, that I can copy files with no errors, but if I do a Cut 'n paste, the file is either corrupted or cannot be read???
I have no idea how to fix this nor where to begin, I was thinking of doing a complete reformating of the drive to see if this would fix it, also CHKDSK does not uncover any faults with the disk(s).
Is it a driver problem/BIOS problem??

The drives are connected to SATA 3&4, also the files cannot be deleted afterwards if I perform the Cut 'n paste :( So they are just sitting there using space...
However this problem is not there on the IDE drive?? I can cut'n'paste just fine. Also if I cut'n'paste from the SATA RAID to the IDE drive, it goes fine, so it seems when I cut'n'paste from one place on the array to another on the array, that it goes wrong

This is a nasty problem with XP SP2 and divx.

Problem with Java scrolling text window on Mac OS

The Java scrolling text window created by AWT "TextArea" scrolls in the normal way from the top on Windows, whereas it scrolls from the bottom on the Mac OS. That is, the text file is first displayed from the bottom on Mac, so that the user has to scroll to the top of the file each time a new page is opened, which is a very nuisance. Have you run into this problem and do you know how to over-ride the Mac OS default? Many thanks.

TextAreas suck in general, this has been discussed many time in the forum. As a duct-tape fix, you might play around with setCaretPosition() after inserting your new text. Good luck

Macbook does not shut down or restart. It stops at an blank white screen with the cursor moving around it. Updated to the latest software

I have a Macbook Air 13.3" 2012 model. For a couple of days my Macbook does not shuts down. It just stops at a blank white screen with the cursor still hovering around it. I have to shut it down forcefully every time using the power button.

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Note the timestamps of the BOOT_TIME log messages, which refer to the times when the system was started. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
For example, if the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down for three minutes before you forced a restart, post the messages timestamped within three minutes before the boot time, not after. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract—not at the beginning.

Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the crashed process and ends in ".crash". A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". A shutdown stall report has a name that ends in ".shutdownstall". Select the most recent of each, if any. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. It's possible that none of these reports exists.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
☞ If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash or panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
☞ Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

Problem with Horizontal Scroll on java.awt.List

I use the same code for a General Application as a CDC Application.
I have no problem at all with the General Application but on the CDC I can't scroll to the right (horizontal).
Why do I get this problem on the CDC application and not on a regular application?
I use the PP-1.0 Profile for the CDC application. Does it not support horizontal scroll on java.awt.List?

Problem with Visibroker while moving to JDK 1.4 from 1.3

I am getting following error in Visibroker 3.4 while moving to JDK 1.4.
Its says....
java.lang.ClassCastException
at com.inprise.vbroker.CORBA.portable.ObjectImpl._invoke(ObjectImpl.java:60)
I have compiled my IDLs with Visibroker(idl2java) and using those stubs clsses as external jar, also with Visibroker jars (vbjapp.jar and vbjorb.jar) took it from Visibrokers lib directory.
Its working fine with jdk 1.3....
Other stubs classes are tested and working fine with 1.3.
Do we need to get the new Jar for VBJ?
can any one throw some light on this, Pls share your experience, in case you came across such problem.

I'm not sure, but I suspect the following happened:
Visibroker 3.4 was targeted for J2SE 1.0 and 1.1 platforms. It probably includes a lot of org.omg.CORBA classes that weren't in J2SE at the time, so the JVM picked them up from the Borland jars.
In J2SE 1.4, a lot of these classes are in the platform, so are loaded from the JDK rather than the classpath. Also, it's been a long time since J2SE 1.1. Things are added to the J2SE platform from the OMG specs when they are stable. There are probably differences between the Borland ones from the days of J2SE 1.1 and the ones in the J2SE 1.4 JDK, thus the ClassCastException.
Try overriding the bootclasspath with -Xbootclasspath so the JVM picks up the Borland jars first and overrides the org.omg.CORBA classes in rt.jar. There's a new way to do this for standards outside of Java such as OMG classes called the "preferred classes" or "preferred classpath", but I can't seem to remember how to do it. (You're not supposed to deploy applications with -Xbootclasspath solutions anymore.)
