Problem with period lock OKP1

Hi all,
I locked period in Tcode OKP1 for all transaction
However, transaction in 9KE0 is not locked yet
I don't know why. Can anybody help me?

thathere is no possibility to lock periods / posting transactions in PCA (including distributions), because PCA should be always open for postings. It is designed to be the receiving application of data delivered by the preliminary applications like FI, MM and CO. Therefore period locks must be handled / maintained in those applications. In PCA, there are only two possibilities to prevent postings to profit centers:
1. is to completely lock profit centers in the master data via transaction KE52 (tab 'Indicators' -> activate 'Lock indicator'.
Please read also the F1-help here for the field 'Lock indicator')
2. to lock one complete fiscal year in the entire Profit-Center Accounting via transaction 1KEF.
There are two exceptions for that which are provided for transactions 1KEL and 9KE0 by SAP notes 836218 & 436384. As in these notes described, you can block periods via using FI-SL periode-block, but only for manual posting.

Problem with file locked by another user

I have a problem with a user on Windows 7 in my network when accessing a single .xlsx file. When Jane Smith opens said file, she gets a message that the file is locked by Jane Smith but she has checked and it was in use by another user, Roger Smith.
This happened over a weeks time and is not a one-off situation. Researching online, I tried one suggestion by going to Roger Smith's computer and into the registry under HKEY CURRENT USER, navigated to "Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\UserInfo",
expecting to see Jane Smiths name and initials. Nope, that wasn't the problem. I went ahead and deleted extra profiles on the computer and ran a repair on Roger Smiths Office 2013.
It was okay for a half a day then towards the end of the day, Jane Smith calls back to say again the same file is locked by Jane Smith yet this time Diana Smith had the file open.
So, the file is locked but why is Excel not reporting the correct user? What can I do to address this?

These all reference Office 2007 and 2010. As far as you know, all of these fixes still apply to Office 2013?

No option for 2013.

In the Shared folder or the File Server;
Open the folder where the Document is located.
Click Tools=>Folder Options
Click the View tab
Scoll down to Advanced Settings>Hidden files and folders
Select Show hidden files and folders and Unselect Hide protected operating system files
Look for a temp lock file and delete it. It should look something like
~$filename.xlsx or whatever file extension the it was saved in.
(In my case, this file had become corrupt and was stuck displaying an earlier modify date from a few days ago..)

N8 problem with side lock key

Hi,
Did anyone find any problem with N8 side locking key. Mine one has to be slided really hard to get it locked and unlocked, the mechanism is not as smooth as in the earlier phones.
Trying to wrap people in the cocoon of seamless connectivity during their mobility.

I also have this problem after installing version 5.0.0.508. It appears that I no longer have an option for locking the keyboard. When I select Options/Screen/Keyboard and select Left Side Convienence Key Options it does not show up in the list of selectable options.

I want to remove an add on becauase I've been having problems with FIrefox locking up since I installed. How the heck does one remove an add-on. I hate to be stupid but I cannot figure out how to uninstall an add on

I've been having problems with Firefox 4.0 locking up pretty much since I installed it. I did add a few add-ons and all I can think of to do is to remove them. I can't figure out how to get rid of them.

Well, When I click on Add-ons I don't get a list of add-ons. AN Add-ons tab opens which shows lots of other great add-ons but I can't get a list os ones that I've installed and have no option to remove. I'm on version 4.0. Maybe the "remove" as described is for an earlier version?

Vista problem with Dreamweaver locking files indiscriminately - I'm not alone

I've seen questions posed in the past about Vista locking files - and I am having the exact same problem, which I posted about a while ago. Today it happened to me again.
There appears to be no pattern as to why this happens. Was happening to me continually until a few weeks ago. Then it stopped without me taking any course of action (just putting up with the annoying bug is all I could do).
You just have to remember to save the file under a different name to ensure that you don't lose your original file. The original file does not appear in the File Manager window (after you close down DW, nor does it appear in the Trash bin - it's just gone).
Initially I thought it may be due to having the file open, checking it in Firefox and possibly FF taking over the file, so it gets locked by DW. Today, I only opened the file (no checking in a browser at all) made a minor correction and I was locked out of the file.
Co-incidentally, a few hours ago, I found a website via twitter where this seems to be a known issue, but no there appears to be no response from Adobe about this bug. http://www.sherylcanter.com/wordpress/2009/05/locked-vanishing-files-in-dreamweaver-and-in design/
Previously, I used to restart the pc and I'd lose the file altogether (as explained above). After reading the above website, I'm going to leave DW open for a while to see if it's true about the file 'unlocking itself'. Thankfully,, this time, I did backup the file just in case. In the past I'd lost a fair amount of work, that I'd had to recreate - very annoying !!
I thought I'd post up a graphic of the error messages - to see if others are seeing the same thing. This will need to be bought to the attention of the DW tech team, but not sure how they can address the issue as it is a difficult thing to reproduce on a consistent basis.
AN UPDATE; Checked for the file in Windows File manager - the index.html page is not listed in the sitefolder. Back to Dreamweaver, you can still see the locked file, do a refresh and the index.html file has disappeared.
I open index2.html (the resaved version of index,html), rename it to index.html and it allows me to do so this time round.
PS: At the same time I opened inner.html, made a change, no problems with the file locking.

I had tried to do a search using similar keywords when this started happening to me months ago - couldn't find anything at the time.
I even posted to a private forum where people should have known about this issue - but it was never responded to.
Will see if this fix works for me.... though I can't understand why it only does this occasionally - if someone needs to take control of the folder, surely it should be happening all the time.

Although Dreamweaver "reveals" and demonstrates it, I think that it's a deep-seated Vista permissions issue.
It's random and occurs on files I create from scratch and files I receive from others.
Full permissions for every single user and group on my PC doesn't work.
"Take ownership" by my account or Administrator or Administrators or System or Everyone or Authenticated Users doesn't work.
UAC deactivation doesn't work.
Command prompt to unset attributes (like read-only) says it ISN'T read-only, but the right-click properties show that it is.
Only this works so far.
Activate Vista's Administrator account (be sure to then set a password for it).
Log in as Administrator, and the issue no longer occurs.

I'm open and hopeful for a better solution, but for now I've got work to do, so I'm using Dreamweaver logged in as Administrator.

Why? Why does it do this? Why? (problem with the lock thing)

I always lock my ipod mini and then put it in my bag while I'm using it, but as soon as it touches something in my bag it pauses. Should it pause with the lock on? It's really annoying as I have to unlock it to unpause it, and then it just pauses itself again. Grrrr.

If you are using an third-party headphone set, or your headphone minijack connection is slightly loose, then every time it moves, the iPod senses that and pauses the music.
It is a 'feature' to stop the music playback should you remove the headphones from the iPod. It can be a bit sensitive given the 'wrong' conditions.
No way to turn off this feature, so you'll need to experiment with keeping the jack from being jostled.

Problems with CS4 Locking up after File I/O

I am running:
Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2
Photoshop CS4 with the opengl off
Problem: When I either create a new file or open an already established file the program becomes unresponsive. It locks and hangs. I have read through and tried the KB article that I was giving by support. I have not been able to figure out what is going on. As far as I can tell all of the services that should be running are. Is this a permissions issue with the OS? Just don't know. Please help if you can.

You can right click on the .exe file and choose properties, then compatibility, and select run as administrator.

64-bit, 32-bit Porting - Problem with file locking

OS: Solaris 8
I am trying to port the existing 32-bit code to 64-bit. I am facing the following problem.
The executable works fine with 32-bit compilation, but fails with the 64-bit compilation. I am trying to lock a file, but it is failing with the errno = 9 [Bad file descriptor]
I have included the code. I would appreciate if some one can help me to solve this.

F_GETFL

Problem with period over two months

Hello all,
I have a problem on my report. When I select a period with two dates in the same month, all the data are displayed.
When I select a period from november to december, only the first and last date data are displayed.
Where is the problem ? How could I resolve it ?
I have also a problem if I select two dates which are not in the database, I have a constrained problem.

Problems With iTunes Locking Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

Can someone please help me out? I have about 95 Gig of music in my iTunes on my computer. None of the songs in my itunes are backed up!!! Everytime I open itunes after about a minute of being open it locks up my whole computer and the only thing that I can do is Hold down the Power button to shut it down.
Is it possible that i just have to many songs in itunes at one time and now it is locking me up?
This only happens in itunes, no other programs lock up.

I had a similar problem, but it didn't have anything to do with size of my library. The problem turned out when the iTunes application was in, what appears to be, an I/O loop. You see, I had a faulty USB hub with an iPod shuffle plugged into it. iTunes repeatedly tried to work with the device and stayed that way until I unplugged the shuffle.
I'm not saying this is the answer, but it is possible you have a loop occurring in iTunes where the application can't resolve a resource read. I hope that helps.
You can open a utility program called "Console" to look for any error messages generated by iTunes. What you want to look for is any message with the word iTunes in it. If the only one you find is "iTunes not responding", then look for any dubious messages that preceded those.

Problem with Periods' point of view on Financial Reporting Studio

i have a problem on some reports: i fix Periods' Point of View on Financial Reporting Studio signing in with Admin user. I do this to let other users see just a part of the dimension structure on workspace,but when i open workspace signing in with a generic user i can't see any changing: user can see all elements of the dimension. Otherwise If i sign on workspace with admin user i can see the Periods'POV i have fixed on reporting studio previously. So do you have any idea on what i can do to solve this problem?

Are you facing a problem while running the reports through work space..? While running the reports, is affected generic user getting a POV window..? If you are concerning about hierarchy that you select through POV window then It might be possible that POV might have got corrupted for that generic user and in that case we can delete the POV and set up the new POV again for that user.

Problems with fields locking themselves

I have created a form for my company. It first goes to our vendors for them to fill out their half of the page, then they send it back to us and we send that to trucking companies for them to fill out their half of the page.
The problem that we are having is that with a handful of the vendors that send their forms back to us, the whole form becomes locked and then the trucking companies are unable to fill them out. We end up having to fill out a new blank form then sending that out. I am unable to figure out why this is happening or how to unlock it. The vendors that have sent us the locked forms claim that they just fill it out and send it back.
I would appreciate any help with this as I am out of ideas.

Have you tried backing up your library and then going through the Troubleshooting Basics? Seems like you may want to repair or rebuild your database. You'd want to repair first.

Problems with messaging locking up

I have had my Charge for about a year now and I don't have many complainants about it, but recently when using the text messaging it started locking up if there was a MMS that was included in the stream. The only way I have found to fix it is to delete the whole stream. I don't always want to do that and it is just a pain when it locks up. Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

Problem with Caps Lock and Num Lock after 10.5.1

I noticed after updating to 10.5.1 my caps and num lock lights were on, i thought this odd as I did not push the buttons, pushing the buttons to turn the lights off however actually turns the caps and num lock features on.
In short, the light is backwards! when caps is OFF the light is on and when caps is ON the light is OFF!
the same is true for the num lock key/light...???
anyone else notice this problem?

Same exact problem... after updating I noticed that my numbers lock and caps lock were on. Didn't think much of it so I turned them off and then I notice that they are working in reverse. Caps lock on gives me lower case letters and numbers lock on I only get the symbols associated with that key above the number....mmmmm.
Anyone found a fix yet? I have looked in preferences and other places but found no solution.

Since update to NJ4, problem with audible, lock screen, and car charging.

Since update to NJ4: I listen to audible a lot on my phone. Since the update, when I'm listening and the phone goes to lock screen, when I power up, my home screen background goes to a solid color and the phone screen jumps from audible to lock screen and I can't do anything but turn off the phone. When I set security to none, no problem. Seems only to be when phone goes to lock screen. I also noticed I always used a third party car charger with no problem, now it says I need to use the original charger, it never did that before and I've had the phone for a year. I did a factory reset and still have the problems, did not help. Any suggestions?

nuqrat Software updates can change functions of the device as it is designed to help the phone operate better. It is common that the phone displays the message about the original charger be connected. Some charges can drain the battery life or not charge the phone properly if they are not from VZW or the manufactuer.
