Problem with picture synchronization in Outlook

Hello.
I have a problem with one of our users. We have a environment with Lync, SharePoint and Exchange. 
One of our user changed his picture through SharePoint and from there it is synchronized with Active Directory. The sync between AD works fine. I have verifyed that correct picture is in AD, SharePoint and Lync.
In Outlook the old picture still remains. I have created a new Outlook profile, but the old picture still appears in the Outlook and in GAL.
I have run the following command to update the picture: Get-GlobalAddressList | Update-GlobalAddressList.
Do you have any solution for this problem?

Which version of Exchange server are you using?
If you are using Outlook in cached Exchange mode, I'd recommend you switch to online Exchange mode to see if the photo will get updated. If the issue disappears in online Exchange mode, it means something is not updated in the Offline Address Book (OAB).
In addition, do other users see the updated photo of the user in their Outlook? If not, this means the OAB is not get updated on the server side. If this is the case, I'd recommend you post a new question in the Exchange Server forum for further assistance:

    Hi, i have a big problem with the  synchronization by Desktop Software (6.1.0.35).
    When I installed DS i set to folder sync photos not as
    ... Documents / BlackBerry / photo (created by default),
    but i chose
    ... Documents / Pictures / Photos from the BlackBerry (created by me).
    Basically now I try to change the import folder of images, but it appears the error that is
    "Can not set a folder to import to a higher level of import folder"
    I tried deleting / Photos from the BlackBerry, and not finding my DS it says:
    "The import folder is not available ... etc.." and tells me to change it or with the button or the Media tab of the Device menu> Options.
    I do it but the message is always the same: "Unable to set a higher level of import folder to import folder"
    I find it an absurd bug and ask to help me solve it. Thanks

    Well folks. I've had enough.
    The 9780 is a great phone, it's easy to use, practical and dependable. However, the Desktop Manager software has been giving me too many sleepless nights. On two occassions I must add: once at the end of last year when I bought it and only managed to solve it by myself after 4 weeks of trawling through online forums, blogs and other BB help sites and the recent one was last week when I tried to install it on my new Windows 7 notebook.
    I know this is not entirely the fault of RIM, Microsoft also has a part to play. But considering the state of technology these days, it shouldn't have to be so difficult. I want a phone and software that makes my life easier and not have to be a slave to it by trying days and nights to solve its problems.
    Hence, I have officially decom my phone and gotten an iPhone 4 instead. The switch ain't that difficult for me as I have always been platform neutral. As long it fits my needs, does it job well and doesn't give me too much headache, I'm cool with it.

    Bonjour,
    J'ai un problème avec les mails contenant une ou des photos envoyés et reçus de mon IPAD3 vers un autre IPAD3.
    Lorsque j'envoie un mail avec une photo prise dans un de mes albums, le destinataire ne reçoit pas la bonne photo sur son IPAD alors que le même mail ouvert sur un PC ouvre la bonne photo. La photo qui s'ouvre sur son IPAD est une des photos de ses albums a lui.
    L'inverse est identique,si on m'envoie un mail je n'ouvre pas la bonne photo sur mon IPAD.
    Je connais plusieurs personnes ayant le même problème avec leur IPAD3.
    Que puis je faire ?

    I have an email problem with picture sent and received from on my IPAD3 to an other IPAD3.
    When I send an email with a picture from one of my albums, the receiver don't receive /open the good picture on his IPAD. But in a PC the good picture has received. The picture opened is one of his albums.
    The opposite is the same, when I receive an email with picture from an IPAD, a wrong picture is opened.
    I know some people with the same problem.
    What can I do ?

    I am having the same problem and it is even bigger.
    When opening a 1-page PDF in iBooks and sending it via mail it is sent inline as preview, but the recipient cannot open the file anymore. Also on iPad and iPhone there is no "open in" possible.
    Somehow the mail app does destroy the file. What is going wrong?

  • Problem with Gmail synchroniz​ation

    I have both my work email configured via BES service and my private Gmail account on my Bold 9700.
    Recently I noticed that when I delete emails on the 9700 it reflects almost immediately both on Gmail web interface and both in my Outlook. However, if I delete emails from either the web  or Outlook there are no changes on the device.
    I opened a case with my mobile provider and they did some tests on several devices on their side and also told me to delete and re-configure my Gmail account. They also configured my Gmail account on their devices, All these confirmed that there is a problem.
    After a few days they called back and told me that there is nothing wrong with the service and that the synchronization from Outlook/Web with the device happen after several hours. They also stated that according to RIM's documentation this is how it should work.
    Well, if it's true don't you find it quite troubling?
    What annoys me the most that I'm sure that when I first configured Gmail on my device the sync was much more frequent.
    The support team also mentioned something about BIS upgrade and that that's how RIM decided to implement IMAP4.
    Is that true?
    Did anybody experience what I mentioned as well?

  • C7 problem with OVI suite and Outlook exchange 200...

    Hello,
      I'm now own a NOKIA C7 and need to switch to OVI suite, PC suite is not supported for this  handy. OVI suite is not synchronizing my contacts from exchange to my C7.
    With my old N73 and PC suite I did not have the problem on my DELL M4400 notebook.
    What I've found out, in case of using a USB cable connected nothing was able to synchronize,
    no contacts, calendar and Notes. The OVI suite did nothing for 15 minutes, only searching for somewhat.
    Crazy is, in case of using a Bluetooth connection (removed the USB connection), it was possible to synchronize the calendar and Notes, but contacts were still not possible, some issue as before.
    We verified this problem, using a NOKIA N8 from a colleague - exactly same happened.
    I was happy to have at least the calendar synchronized, because I need this for my job.
    Nevertheless the contact synchronization issue need to be fixed...
    I've bought the C7 with symbian, because I expected no problems in compare to other available Handy Companies and now this...
    My personnel opinion, the OVI suite is currently not was the people expecting - support for consumer people and flexible for business people. For me PC suite was much more, what I need.
    Now, I'm waiting for support to fix my problem...

  • Problem with pictures in pages 5 and epub

    Hello,
    I have been using pages 09 to make epubs for the last 6 months with happy results.
    My new macbook pro came in the mail and I have some problems.
    I have figured out how to do all the text formatting, including titles/chapter names, etc. on pages 5.
    My problems is with pictures.
    In the past, I would click view, then show invisibles, so I could see where the chapter marks are to insert my picture in a particular spot.
    The old pages, was great, and the pic showed up right where I wanted it, and that was the end of the story.
    New Pages, just throws the picture on the page and then forces me to select a variety of options as far as telling it how I want the picture to display.
    This would be no big deal if I only had one or two pics to deal with, but I have tons of pics that need to be inserted in pages and exported to epub.
    Does anyone know an easy way to tell pages 5 to just put the picture where I am telling it!
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Also, one negative on pages 09 is that you could only have a certain amount of pics/chapter, otherwise they would not show up in the exported epub.
    Anyone know if pages 5 suffers from the same absurdity or if you can insert as many pics as you want/chapter.

    Ok, I understand what you guys are saying.
    A related issue.
    I had been using pages 4.1.
    When I would take a pic plucked from a pdf and put it into pages and then exported to epub, it compressed the file about 80% like it should.
    I ditched pages 5 and went to pages 4.3 (which looked identical to my old pages 4.1.
    For whatever reason when I take the same pdf pic and put it into pages and export to epub, instead of compressing by 80%, it is actually expanding the file by 700%.
    The original image is identical in both cases, but pages 4.3 doesn't compress upon export to epub.  
    Any suggestions?

  • Problem with picture insertion in a form created with LiveCycle

    I created a form with a picture field. Yet, no matter which size attribute I give to the field, (e.g. keep original size, adjust to the whole field or adjust proportionaly to the field (my version is in French so I am not sure what the English text is exactly for those attributes)) once in the form, the picture keeps streching to the whole field! (I'll let you imagine what results it can give...). Am I missing something?

    Well, it's someone els's picture. I would feel very much unconfortable to post it publicly. Can I send it to you by email? I have the same problem with all the pictures....

  • Problem With Picture

    Greetings,
    When I import a certain picture into PSE11, the thumbnail only shows for a few seconds, then it changes to this:
    I've tried deleting it and re-importing it from the camera, but the same thing keeps happening. All picture programs are able to handle the picture properly—it is only PSE that has a problem with it. Does PSE keep an 'import log', so that I can find out why it doesn't like this picture?

    Try those steps in the same sequence :
    1- Register your Handheld .
    KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.
    2- Resend your Service Book
    KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    ( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )
    3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back
    I assume you alreday have sufficient data plan from your present Carrier which allow MMS or you have to call your carrier to confirm that .Try it and let us know. 
    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
    If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

  • Problem with pictures not showing up

    I just updated my iphone 3g to the 4.0.1 and i went into my pictures n half of them show up black in the album. but u can still click on them and seee them full screen. Is there anyway to fix the problem with the pictures showing up as black in the album?

    If this is for the photo albums that were transferred from your computer, under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Photos followed by syncing which will remove all photos on your iPhone that were transferred from your computer. Follow this by reselecting Sync Photos and selecting the photos you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
    If no change after this, the next step is deleting what is called the iPod Photo Cache from your computer followed by another sync.

  • Problems with BookMarks Synchronization through iTunes

    I would like to synchronize Safari Bookmarks with iTunes.
    I have no problem with my iPad and my iPhone 4S, as soon as I unactivate Safari iCloud Synchronization, I can choose in iTunes to synchronize bookmarks.
    But with my iPhone 4, when I unactivate iCloud Synchronization, in iTune, it's written that My bookmarks are synchonized in OTA mode on my iPhone from MobileMe ....
    I don't know why we are talking about MobileMe ...
    I suspect that the iphone have still some information about an old MobileMe account (before iCloud ...) and I don't know at all how I can delete that ...
    I have receive my new iPhone 5 to replace the 4, I was hoping that this problem would be solved, but as I have restored an iPhone 4 backup on my iPhone 5 in order not to hav to define all parameters again, I now have the same problem on my iPhone 5.
    If someone know haw I can delete these old MobileMe information in order me to be able to simply synchronize bookmarks through iTunes, it would be wonderful.

    1.Make sure that the files that you are trying to sync are of the .Mp4 formatt.
    2.If so, skip to step '4' If not, go to download.com and search for "free ipod video converter"
    3.Follow the steps provided by the program to convert the files
    4.Drag and drop the .mp4 files into the ipod icon in itunes like you would for a song.

  • Problem with picture/text alignment using layers

    Here is the page I am having problems with:

    I am having major issues. All I wanted to do was have a
    column on the left with a picture and a column on the right with
    text. I wanted the text to align exactly with the top of the
    picture (the text on the right of the picture and the menu to the
    left of the picture), but the B-Ball text floated down to the
    middle even though I said align top.
    So I then took the layers approach. I brought down the
    little guide and aligned it perfectly. It looks great in Internet
    Explorer, but Safari looks completely un-aligned and so does Opera.
    I'm new at layers, so it is probably something very simple.
    All I want is to have the first subject of the menu line up
    with the picture line up with the first line of the B-Ball text and
    have it look the same for most browsers.
    Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

  • Problem with Safari linking to outlook?

    This Mac runs snow leopard developed, the user had it set up so that whenever you open safari it would go directly to Outlook but now a problem with Safari not linking to Outlook anymore, there is no problem with safari and the net and firefox links directly to outlook when opened up, how can I fix the safari outlook situation please?

    Safari menu -> preferences -> General -> the first item lets you select the e-mail reader on some versions of Safari.  If it doesn't, look throughout the preferences.

  • Apple TV, Syncing problems with pictures

    Hi all. Getting really annoyed with APPLE TV/iTunes 9. I sync all my pictures and music, with 11,000 pictures this takes hours. Once done all OK. If I shut down iTunes and reopen it my sync settings change for pictures, the setting changes to 'No Events' therefore my Apple TV now is erasing all my 11,000 pics, the second I open iTunes. Music still there and OK, pics all gone.
    Why does the sync settings keep changing on there own? Please help, mega frustrated!

    Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
    There is currently a problem with selecting 'include all events' from the itunes drop down menu. For the time being select all the events manually from the list below the option you have been using.
    You can check all events at once by holding down the CMD key while checking any event.

    I have looked for the RessourcePath and file requested, all exist.
    For the moment here is my "workaround"

    on error resume next
            .Images.Add 1, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderClosed.gif")
            .Images.Add 2, "", LoadPicture(ResourcePath + "FolderOpen.gif")

    on error goto 0
            .Nodes.Clear
    Have anyone ever had this problem ? How can I solve it ?
    Some other trees (don't remember which though) load without problem and the FolderClosedand FolderOpenimages are displayed....

    Thanks Markus, you're right I forgot to mention it : I am using version 4 with SP8.
    I will have to try again to confirm this but I think it also happens in the generated application (basically, the erro is caught by the calling method, and the tile appear empty)
