Problem with playing video via composite av cable on iPod classic 2009 model 160gb

Things went well, after  purchasing the new Ipod classic 160 gb i tryied to watch movies on my LED TV via Composite AV Cable.  I did it once. Everything worked correctly & I was able to see my photoes, watch movies.  Today i tryied to connect it again to the TV via av composite cable. The TV Out was switched on. But i could hear only audio. No video. I tryied all possible configs for Ipod an for tv set & no result. If i choose on my Ipod to ask me  first if i want to switch on the AV out, the Ipod shows me a message that i should connect the video accessory (but it  is already connected!). If i choose simply to switch on the TV Out without asking  me it will play either sound only on the TV, either the playback on the Ipod is ending after 20 seconds of show time.
Without AV Cable connected Ipod is working normaly in terms of video playback. Also the device is working normally with the ITunes.
Please help. Where is the problem. The AV composite cable? TV set? Or iPod itself?

Hi Rusbug,
I am having the same issue with my iPod Classic 160gb not playing video on the TV via Composite cable as you posted in march!
did you get a solution for the issue??
desperate to know what to do next.

  • Problem with play video on TV

sorry my english. I have problem with some VGA cards with TV-out.
When i set on VGA properties clonning view / nView / and i play video via windows media player, on secondary monitor is blank screen - in media player. Desktop is show correctly.. Is this direct show problem ? Is some way to fix this problem ?
    thanks

I have to assume that the tech support people took you through the basics, like eprebooting the iPad and quitting the videos app, but here is something that sometimes help with the "black, blank" video screen.
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. When the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.

When i try to play a video (MP4) SOMETIMES it plays it without a problem, but SOMETIMES it plays a black screen with sound. And the most strange thing is it can play a video and in few hours it will just play sound on the same video!!
    Please try to help..

download and install this http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/device-software-update/download and carefully read the instructions it gives you before the update.
...Or return the phone and replace it with something from another manufacturer that either A) works out of the box, or B) doesn't require such an awkward and painful update procedure. Nokia seem incapable of either.

  • Apple Composite AV cable and iPOD Classic

I purchased the composite cable so I could watch movies on my TV. Hooked it up according to directions and only sound, kept getting the message "TV Out Enabled" (Please connect Video Accessory) with the picture. It is connected just as it should be.
Tried switching the video and sound cables to no avail. This cable was expensive! $50 down the drain? I also tried re-setting my iPOD and I even cleared it out and re-synced it. I would appreciate any good advice.

I forgot to say. You can only use Apples cable. No third party cables will let you view images through them.
That's not true. There are cables on eBay with a decryptor built-in. I bought one for US $8.99 from this seller. He has many more of them for sale on eBay right now. MUCH cheaper than Apple's offering and it works flawlessly with my 80GB Classic. My only complaint with it is that the RCA connectors are a very tight fit on my receiver. Other than that, no problem with the audio and composite video.

  • Problem with broadcasting video via Skype?

I have a new 11 inch MBA and logged into a Skype session and got audio, though it would not broadcast video of me. I logged out and logged back into a new session with the same result, I had to enter a Skype session with my Macbook Pro because it wouldn't work.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
    Thanks.

  • Samsung Fascinate, problems with playing music via USB port on car stereo

Before the update, I could play the music files on my Fascinate via the USB port on my Kenwood stereo, and control basic functions such as skip, pause etc.  Now, my stereo does not recognize the device, and cannot read the files.  I went to local Verizon store where a sales rep tried to connect it in here new Kia Soul and it didn't recognize the device either. It will play via the AUX jack, but I lose player control and the phone does not charge via the AUX cable.  She did a hard reset which did not resolve the problem.  We tried one of the other employee's Fascinate in my car, which did not work either.
So, after hoping to be able to stream music via Pandora, Jango etc thru the USB port after the update, now it seems its primary function is for charging.
Also, the ALL SHARE function, which I used to get the music on my phone originally, does not work now.
Anyone else have this issue with music player and USB connection?

txgopher- I have personally never used my Fascinate to listen to music via USB via stereo however, I can see why it would be frustrating for you to no longer be able to do so when it was never an issue prior to the update.
It sounds as though you and the store rep already did some troubleshooting by trying to duplicate the problem with another car, stereo and even doing the final troubleshooting step which is a master reset.
Since you have done all of the necessary troubleshooting steps to no avail, it most definitely appears as though the software update has interfered with that USB connection in some way.
What I have done is forwarded the information you have provided to Samsung in order for them to look into this concern as well as come up with a way to get this resolved.
Please stay tuned because as soon as we hear back from Samsung we will be sure to update this forum with the results/findings.

  • Problems with play videos in the latest version of iTunes

There is a curious problem with the latest version of iTunes. If you play the videos in Quickplay as a standalone, the videos play fine, but within iTunes whether within it or in a separate window, the videos start out choppy. I am using an ATI 5770 with 1G ram. The machine is an i7 Core 870 with 8G of ram. I have turned off the 3D accelator, etc. So, don't point me to iTunes stock advice concerning this. Been there, done that.

    Hello there, ondrafromczech.
The following Knowledge Base article offers some practical steps for troubleshooting performance issues when using AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring with your Apple TV:
Resolve issues with AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring from iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Resolve performance issues with AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring
If you are experiencing intermittent playback or significant network lag with AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring, it could be due to a weak Wi-Fi connection, interference, or the distance between the Wi-Fi router and your iOS device, Apple TV or AirPort Express.
    Try these suggestions:
Ensure that other devices are not trying to stream to the same Apple TV at the same time.
Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is set up with the recommended settings for the best performance.
Certain external devices, such as microwave ovens and baby monitors, may interfere with a Wi-Fi network. Try moving or disabling these devices.
If possible, try to locate your Wi-Fi router in the same room as your iOS device and Apple TV.
If your wireless and wired networks are the same, try connecting your Apple TV to the router via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
If the Wi-Fi router has an external antenna, check to see that is it connected properly and in good condition.
Use the Wi-Fi network troubleshooting guide to resolve interference and other issues.
If you are using iTunes, please see these troubleshooting guidelines.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • Big problem with playing videos on Vista

I have a big problem with iTunes and Quick Time on Vista. I know other people in the german cmmunity who have it, too.
If ich want to play a video with iTunes or Quickt Time my PC starts wokring very heavy. Then the programm shut down. Sometimes there is a bluescreen, too.
In iTunes it is enough just to leftclick on a video an the programm is freezing without an error message.
I bought a new iPod classic some days ago. With this error i can't use it and 350 € would be thrown away.
I installed both prgramms again and again but that's no use.

Seems to be a hard drive issue. I sometimes get the blue screen of death or a message that one of my 2 raid0 hard drives is starting to fall down. If I restart the PC (3 seconds on the power button... since iTunes blocked everything) and declare the hard drive is OK using the Intel Matrix soft provided by Dell on their website, everything is back to normal (as long as I don't use iTunes). Problem only occurs with iTunes. I am currently doing a backup of my complete HDD to an external drive. I'll try moving my iTunes library to this drive and see if it works better from a non raid 0 drive. Will keep you informed. But an external drive is always VERY slow compared to an internal so it can only be a degraded mode solution to the problem. Apple please do something!!!

  • Sawtooth problem with playing video

    Hi
    My sawtooth is freezing up.
Usually the freeze occurs when I am playing a video.
the screen freezes and the audio skips repeatedly over and over.
This does not happen all of the time but it does occur frequently. I took it to an apple store and was able to reinstall the system software (not a clean install) but it did not make difference. Otherwise the machine works fine.
    any advice is appreciated.

Do you mean streaming internet videos or DVD videos? In spite of the faster 1.4 GHz G4 processor you have installed, your Sawtooth suffers from the same hardware limitations of other computers built at that time. The 100 MHz system bus speed, DRAM memory (as opposed to DDR memory), and a 2x AGP graphics bus all contribute to choppy video viewing. The original graphics card that you still have installed has a very small 16 MBs of SGRAM, which can easily choke on video playback. You'd definitely benefit from a faster/newer graphics card with DDR memory. If you search the G4 Expansion Forum for "graphics card," you'll find numerous topics and recommended/compatible cards.

I use Keynote on iPad2. Video out via composite AV cable, audio out through earphone socket. If I plug into the earphone socket first, then plug in the AV cable - no sound. AV first, then earphone - sound. Anyone know why?

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Having lagging problems with YouTube videos, it simply takes so long for the red bar to completely load and the videos frequently pause and take too long to restart playing again.

I have been having lagging problems with YouTube videos for a number of months now. It simply takes so long for the red bar to completely load and the videos frequently pause and take too long to restart playing again. Even with little 2 and 3 minute videos.
I have a fast computer and my webpages load really, really fast. I have FireFox 4 browser and a Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. So I don't have a slow computer or web browser. But these slow YouTube vids take way too long to load for some reason.
Does anyone have any idea how I can speed up YouTube?

    Hi
The forums are customer to customer in the first instance, Only the mods (BT) will ask for personal information through a email link. Would you mind posting your Hub stats & BT speed test results this will help all with diagnosis-
To post the full stats from your router
    for home hub - 192.168.1.254
Navigate to ADSL Settings or use the A-Z at the top right
Click on More Details and then post the results.
Run BT speed tester and post the results from http://speedtester.bt.com/
If possible it would be best to connect to the BT master socket this will rule out any telephone/broadband extension wiring also consider the housing of the hub/router as anything electrical can cause problems as these are your responsibility, if these are found to be the case Openreach (engineer) will charge BT Broadband, which will be passed onto you, around £130.00.
Noisy line! When making telephone calls, if so this is not good for your broadband, you can check-
Quite line test dial 17070 option 2 and listen - should hear nothing best done with old type analogue phone digital (dect) will do but may have slight hiss If you hear noise- crackling pops etc, report it as a noisy line on your phone, don’t mention broadband, Bt Faults on 151.
As for your FTTC its available in some areas between 40% & 80% of customers in enabled areas can receive it!

  • Issue with playing video on 4400g

Hello, guys. I'm using dmps 4400G, almost all of them are running under 5.2.3 software version.. I wish some of my DMPs (standalone) to start playing video file in loop. Used a html script to do it for 5.2.1 - everything works properly. But under 5.2.2 or 5.2.3 i have some problems while playing video using the same script.
    I followed next:
"2. Create your own html page to have the content playing from the DMP flash (usb_1) or USB key (usb_2).
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-14752
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3194092
So when under 5.2.2 or 5.2.3 video suddenly stops playing, DMP and Monitor state becomes off. After that player starts playing video again. And at the same moment it stops again. Red light indicates that DMP tries to obtain an IP-address via DHCP, but DHCP is disabled (static IP is used).
Also I have a problem with image. When I want from my DMP in standalone mode to show an image using hmtl script, it just shows nothing (and red light is on).
How can I rectify this? Or maybe there is another way to play file in loop at 5.2.3 software version. Do not want to downgrade.
    Thanks in advance.

Excuse me? Doesn't the title say trouble playing video on utube etc? I am having trouble playing videos that don't jump. I am just looking for a solution to a problem that seems to be inherent in MBP and the new operating system. If you have a solid solution, please respond.

  • Problems with ITMS Videos after 1.1 Update

OK, so there are lots of posts about video problems on 5G ipods after software update 1.1 and what encoding methods were used etc etc.
After updating my 60GB iPod to 1.1 all my videos, including those purchased from the iTunes Music Store, suffer from audio problems.
The video playback is fine, no freezing like others have mentioned, but I get loud popping and clicking sounds on the audio, particulalry at the start of a clip.
Has ayone else experienced problems with video sound after the 1.1 update?
Restoring to software 1.0 resolved the problem so there is definitely a problem with 1.1 and ITMS content.
Apple need to sort this out. Fast.

I foolishly did the 1.1 upgrade to my 60G iPod. I found that, as we all know by now, that all ov my videos that weren't from Quicktime Pro or purchased through iTunes hang after about 30 seconds, and then continues without any audio. But, the really obnoxious part is that my videos that I converted via QuickTime Pro suffered from very strange audio artifacts. These would fall into the category of clicks, purrs, warbles and other strange noises in addition to the audio that is supposed to be there. That pushed me over the line, and I "downgraded" my iPod back to release 1.0. I did the "restore" to completely erase my iPod and then re-loaded it from iTunes. I had already upgraded iTunes, and it has no problems with my now-restored-to-version 1.0 iPod. By the way, you have to edit a system file in order to do the downgrade: Put the ipod in harddisk mode. Edit the file (hidden folder and file) \iPod_Control\Device\SysInfo Replace the line that have the word "buildID" with this line:
    buildID: 0x05908000 (6.0)
Then run the original iPod Updater to put 1.0 back onto it. This will leave you with the "feature" that any video that you change the Video Kind to TV Show will not show up on your iPod unless it's in a Video Play List. I actually like this, as it keeps the Video list from being cluttered up.
