Problem with plymouth themes

I've installed Plymouth on my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E330, with intel GPU) but i've a display problem with every themes of plymouth , le screen is black with 3 white dots.
My /etc/default/grub is :

Plymouth and Plymouth-release were merged, as per request:

This may be the result of that.

Problem with portal theme for WD Application

Hi Experts,
We have enhanced our ECC with EHP4 and SP18 in our existing portal.And now i am getting some theme problem.
I have few Wendynpro ABAP application in the portal which was coming with correct theme earlier bur after
enhancement all the other application in the portal are coming with the proper theme except all the
Webdynpro abap application.
All the WDApplicatio are coming as blue same like its coming in the backend system.I tried with many option
but i am not able to correct it since i have very little knowledge about the portal.

The problem is probably due to the fact that ERP Enhp4 contains NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 in which SAP delivers the Lightspeed rendering and the new Signature theme SAP_TRADSHOW_PLUS. The Portal at the 7.0 SP18 release level would not have the correct mimes for Tradeshow Plug or for Lightspeed. If the UR rendering of the backend is higher than that of the portal, it has to fallback to using the local stylesheet of the ABAP AS to protect that hte rendering is done correctly (see OSS Note 1267950 and 1033496). You can try the option WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET, but because of the drastic differences in the 7.01 and 7.0 rendering this will very likely lead to rendering errors (visual errors or more serious - JavaScript errors).

Problem with WMS themes & Oracle MapViewer Version 11.1.1.2

Hello, in my application I load the background raster from a external server using wms. With differents version of mapviewer 11 with a weblogic server (e.g: release 1, release 11.1.1.4) all it's allrigth, but when I change the mapviewer to release 11.1.1.2 I can't see the raster and I get the next error:

although with Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer Version 11g ps3 (11.1.1.4) and 11g ps4 (11.1.1.5.1) everything work ok in my WebLogic Server: 10.3.3.0, with Mapviewer Version 11.1.1.2 I get the next error:

I've seen that the wms external service works ok and returns an url with the correct image, but something wrong happens inside of mapviewer that don't allow generate the image....

[Solved] Problem with GTK+ themes (some of the applications look ugly)

Hey everyone,
I just switched to Arch and have problems with getting the GTK+ themes to work. Some applications (i.e. pcmanfm, firefox) use the theme I set with lxappearance and other like transmission still look ugly. Any ideas what am I doing wrong?

Another possibility is that you have the correct theme but don't have the associated theme engine installed. Poke around the themes a bit:
For a GTK2 theme: in the "theme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" file look for the line that says "engine" and a name. Make sure you have that name installed.
For a GTK3 theme: in the "theme/gtk-3.0/gtk.css" file also look for "engine" and the name. Also make sure that engine is installed.
Themes are almost always in "/usr/share/themes/theme_name"
The files you look for to see which engine a theme uses may be in different files than the ones specified above, poke around in the files. The file that specifies the engine will be a text file so you can look at them using "less" or an alternative.

I have a problem with my Theme

After I have imported my video into APE, I choose my theme and after I click to apply, it gives me a message that it can't find or there is no disk. What does that mean? I have tried putting in a new disk, also tried to put my APE disk back into the computer. Nothing helps and my computer freezes up at this point and I loose everything trying to get out of the frozen windows.
Thanks for any help on this. Hope this is enough info to help me fix the problem.

I have a Sony Digital Handicam DCR-TRV830
I have used this many times, (actully I used the DCR-TRV730, but now have a different camera...same format) and it makes beautiful movies using APE8, but this is the first time I tried using the themes. I record my video through a fire wire to my computer, as I have done for several years with no problem....it is located on my "C" drive.

No, it only came with one disk.....Oops!!...I just checked and I was not using" Adpbe Premiere Elements 8", I had put in the wrong disk....it was "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8"....maybe if I tried the correct disk it would help...sorry.

"Which theme is giving you trouble? Have you tried a different theme to see if the problem is unique to it?"
I was using the Extreem Sport's theme. And no I had not tried a different one.

Problem With iMovie Theme - Possible Bug?

I'm trying to use the "lower third" element from the white reflection theme in my movie. The problem is that I would like to apply it to the middle of a clip.
I edit the clip but cutting out about 15 seconds off the front, then try and add the theme element. iMovie starts the theme element at the very front of the clip, which I've cut out.
I've tried splitting the video clip as well, same problem.
Anyone else running into this? Seems like a bug in iMovie.

indeed, I can recreate your observation:
when you split a clip in a project (part I/II) .. and apply part II to a theme, it is not only part II but the whole clip (starting with part I) which gets applied to....
that's not logical in terms of user interface, nor convenient.. ok, somekind of 'bug' ...
follow Bengt's advice, to create a real, seperate, individual, non-connected, solo clip... ;))

Problem with Custom Theme and Color of Registers

Hi everybody,
I am implementing a custom theme with EP SP 15 (Sneak Preview). All the changes I am making in the Theme Editor are displayed correctly, except for the colors of the registers.
The preview in the Theme editor works fine but when I activate the theme in the portal the background of the registers is still the same as in the standard theme (the images for the borders or the registers however are the ones I chose).
I read about the caching problem in the SAP library and deleted the browser cache before saving but it didn't help.
Any ideas or hints would be appreciated!

If you are talking about custom registration page, accessed via login page, you have to change its background manually by editing logon package. There is a procedure on help.sap.com how to change logon page.
Here I'm pasting the necessary parts. But hava a look at original doc.
To customize the logon UI, we recommend the following procedure:
   1. Make a copy of com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak and rename it. In this example, it is renamed to my.new.logon.par.
   2. Move my.new.logon.par to a location outside of the <SAPJ2EEngine-deployment-dir>.
   3. Extract the files from my.new.logon.par preserving the directory structure.
   4. Modify files in the extracted PAR file.
   5. Put the modified files back into my.new.logon.par.
   6. Copy my.new.logon.par back to <SAPJ2Eengine-deployment-dir>\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd.
   7. Rename the file <SAPJ2Eengine-deployment-dir>\cluster\server\ume\authschemes.xml.bak to authschemes.xml.
   8. In authschemes.xml, replace all occurrences of the string "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon" with "my.new.logon" in the tags <frontendtarget> and save the file.
   9. Restart the portal.

You can change the authschemes.xml file using the Config Tool of SAP Web Application Server Java. When you edit the file, you should download the file to a local directory, edit it, and when uploading the edited file, create a new node in the configuration tree for it. In this way you do not loose the original version of the file.
       1.      Start the Config Tool by executing <SAPJ2EEEngine_installation>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat.
       2.      Choose the symbol for Switch to configuration editor mode.
       3.      In the tree, navigate to cluster_data u00AE server u00AE persistent u00AE com.sap.security.core.ume.service.
       4.      To switch to edit mode, choose (Switch between view and edit mode).
       5.      In the tree, select authschemes.xml and choose (Show the details of the selected node).
       6.      Choose Download and save the file to a local directory.
       7.      Edit the file locally.
       8.      Create a new node in the configuration tree for the edited file as follows:
                            a.      Select the node com.sap.security.core.ume.service.
                            b.      Choose the symbol for Create a node below the selected node ().
                            c.      Select the type File-entry.
                            d.      Choose Upload and select the file from your local directory.
                            e.      Enter the name for the entry, for example, authschemes_productive.xml. By default, the name of the uploaded file is used.
                              f.      Choose Create.
                            g.      Choose Close window.
The new node appears in the configuration tree.
For UME to use the new file, you have to change the value of the property login.authschemes.definition.file to the name of the new authschemes file. Change the property as described in Editing UME Properties.
       9.      Restart the nodes in the cluster for the changes to take effect.

Problem with iTunes theme "Silent Night" with iTunes 11 in Windows 7

Hi, I'd been using the iTunes theme "Silent Night" with iTunes 10.7 in Windows 7, and i upgraded to iTunes 11 before uninstalling that theme.
Now when I try uninstalling the theme using the method that came with "Silent Night", it does nothing.

iTunes doesn't actually support themes/skins. Some of the sites offering such things are blocked but this one makes it clear that the skin isn't supported on iTunes 11 and attempting to install it will break iTunes. I suspect installing iTunes 11 would have overwitten all the mods caused by the theme so there is probably nothing left to uninstall.

Problem with gtk themes display

I am running Gnome on my new Arch box and I encounter some strange problems. In Debian, I was able to compile and use some gtk engines like gflat, rezlooks or murrina. Now I tried to compile them on Arch and they do compile okay, but they do not work as expected. Either I get a simple gtk1 layout or I get a broken gtk2 theme (murrina e.g.) where gradients don't work and sliders that are e.g. pink on the left and gray on the right side.
Did anyone else experience this and what could cause this problem?

Problemes with the theme of the portal

Hi,
we have the problem that just the portal header load with the logo, the rest of the portal is white.
The 1st and 2sd doensn't load, also the content doens't load.
When we delete the temporary files it workes for an few hours, then the same probleme came back.
We use EP7 with SPS 14 and the probleme is only with IE 6.0.2800.1106 and with IE 7.0.5730.
With Firefox3 we have no problems.

We have solved our Problem,the Problem was the EPCM was undefined

Anyone know why Yahoo emails will not load? Emails, including those I could previously access are blank. No problem with seeing them when using another browser

Yahoo mail--can access inbox but cannot access individual emails. Have tried disabling all add-ons, but there is no difference. Emails are visible using another browser.

I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.

Problem with my nokia 3110 classic

in about a month before I tried to apply a theme and it displayed a message Unable to open theme. theme corrupted. What should I do? I'm afraid to do anything so that i don't make it worse. The only thing I tried is to upgrade my software, but it had no effect. Help me please!

are you referring to the phone's built-in themes? if so, then try resetting to factory settings by selecting the option in the menu of the phone. if it is a third-party theme, will then it may very well be corrupted (due to incomplete download off the internet, problems with the theme creation etc)

Problem with personalize link in masterhead

Hi All,
I need to activate the personalize link in the masterhead of my theme.
I had tried doing it from my masterhead iview properties "Show Link in Masterhead: Personalize" to "Yes". But, could not succeed. The link does not displayed.
Even, i tried with assinging eu_role to my user. Still not showing.
and i can view the link in default theme.
What might be the problem with my theme...
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Sunil ,
I guess u r checking the wrong masthead iview. Just open u r desktop on which u want to see the personalize option.
Now it would contain a default page and theme , Open tht page and check it would contain a masthead iview . Select it and check the property window of this ivew . Now Check for the "Show Link in Masterhead: Personalize" property.
Please set it to Yes.
