Problem with port

Hi,
I've created  a port with transction "idx1" in the client 100.
But this port does not display in transaction "we 20"(Partner profiles)in the client "100" but it displayes in the client 000.
Can anybody help me please?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
if you want to send idocs to XI
you don't need ports in WE20
idx1 is all you need
R/3 sends/receives idocs directly to/from idoc adapter
so no data in WE20 is needed
I believe there's a way to send idocs to XI
in a standard way (with WE20) - with SP14
but this is not the standard way and that's not how
XI uses idoc's interfaces
BTW
Remember your XI is an <b>Integration server</b>(TCODE - SXMB_ADM) not an application server

michal

  • HELP!! asa 5505 8.4(5) problem with port forwarding-smtp

Hi I am having a big problem with port forwarding on my asa. I am trying to forward smtp through the asa  to my mail server.
my mail server ip is 10.0.0.2 and my outside interface is 80.80.80.80 , the ASA is setup with pppoe (I get internet access no problem and that seems fine)
When I run a trace i get "(ACL-Drop) - flow is deied by configured rule"

  • Link Problem with port 2 in WLC 4402

    Hi,
I have a problem with port 2 in Wireless Lan Controler 4402. The problem is that the distribution port 2 of the WLC not link with the switch (3750). We receive the WLC and we follow the autostart wizard and we enable LAG. The wizard finish, I restart the system and all works fine. The two distribution ports of WLC, 1 and 2 appears UP and the LAG works correctly. After this we upgrade the firmware of the WLC to the version AIR-WLC4400-k9-6-0-182-0.aes and we restart the system again but at this time port 2 does not link and port 1 link OK. We do not know the reason why port 2 doesn´t link? Could you help me ?
    Thank in advance.
    Regards.

Does it properly refuse authentication ? Or does the login page stop appearing or something ?
There was a bug with the webauth dying under heavy load, regardless of number of identical accounts used.
One good way for you to check would be, when problem occurs, to create a second backup guest user and see if that would start working. If it doesn't, the account is not the problem.
I'm not aware of any maximum of usage of the same account.
Which 4.2 exactly are you running ?

  • Problem with Port Forwarding in WRT320N

    Good day.
I have a web-server and Internet-radio translator to local network of my provider. And I found a problem with Port Forwarding. I'm trying to setup 80 & 8000 ports to forward. And it's working but only for Internet, without provider's local network. My web-server isn't accessible in local network and radio-translator too.
So is it possible to forward ports absolutely - for any type of connections?
P.S. DMZ is working like Port Forwarding.

If you ask questions you have to mention that you have an PPTP connection to the internet and another network directly on the internet port. Otherwise noone will really understand your question as it is a very unusual setup.
Your setup is not one really supported by the router. You are lucky that it works but don't expect too much. Port forwarding only the internet connection. If you use PPTP the network on the internet port is basically hidden. Using that local network on the internet port is not supported.
The DMZ host is the IP address to which all ports are forwarded to which are not forwarded otherwise. The same restriction applies here.
I would recommend to ask your ISP which router they recommend for their internet connection. I think most/all Linksys routers and many other brand's consumer routers won't really support a setup like yours...

  • Problem with Port Forwarding (when PPTP is up) in WRT-160N

    Hi, everybody!
I'm looking for some help with Port Forwarding in my new router from Linksys. I've bought the router afew daysago, and was badly surprised when I found out that there is DD-WRT firmware is installed in it (the router was 100% NEW when I've purchased it). I have downloaded the latest original Linksys firmware file and successfully flashed it.
But I still have problem (same I had on DD-WRT firmware too) with port forwarding for my DC++ and Vuze (app for torrents): I've written port forward for ports 49151 (for Vuze) and 4000 (for DC++) to be forwarded to my desktop computer (IP 192.168.1.201) -- I've seen a post at this forum, that there could be a problem, if you forward to an IP, which is inside DHCP local zone, so I've forwarded it to .201 IP (my local DHCPzone is 192.168.1.100 - .149). But forwardind doesn't work ((
    What's wrong?
    My configuration:
    Router IP: 192.168.1.1
PPTP (I've got it from my ISP)
    IP address: 192.168.226.127
    Default Gateway: 192.168.226.2
    DNS 1: 192.168.1.1
    DNS 2 & 3: 0.0.0.0
    PPTP Server IP Address: 192.168.226.2
    Username: ****
    Password: ****
    Single Port Forwarding:
Application name     External port     Internal port     Protocol     To IP address     Enabled
    Vuze                       49151               49151             Both           192.168.1.201    Checked
    DC                          4000                 4000              Both           192.168.1.201    Checked
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

As you have mentioned in your post that your ISP has provided you a PPTP connection with an IP address: 192.x.x.x. The IP address which is provided to you by your ISP is in a Private Range, and if you try to forward any ports on your router it will not work, as your ISP modem will block that port. So you need to get a Public IP address from your ISP.
As you are getting Private IP from your ISP, so this connection is called as NAT behind NAT, and your Modem is acting like a Router.
So now you have 2 options, get the Public IP address from your ISP or change the connection type.

  • Problems with porting to Personal Java

    Hi all,
I'm currently trying to port a java application to Personal Java to run on the jeode jvm. The application needs certain packages from Java standard Edition, packages like java.util.Properties.class etc. However when I add this package to the core jar of classes for jeode, my program still cannot see it. I keep getting a NoSuchMethod Error on java.util.Properties.setProperties. This method does exist, and I am calling it correctly.
I'm just wondering if anyone has met this sort of a problem with jeode? Also packages like java.lang.object and java.lang.string don't appear in the main jar file for jeode? Does anyone know if this is correct?
Many thanks for yor help in advance,
    Shane

I suppose you mean java.util.Properties.setProperty(String, String) ? This API was added to Properties in Java 2, so it is not available in Personal Java. You will have to use put(Object, Object), which Properties inherits from Hashtable.
As a suggestion, try running JavaCheck on your project to find uses of APIs not contained in the pjava spec.

  • RV220W - Problems with Port 25 and SMTP

Hello. I'm really new to networking but I've been given the task of fixing a problem with our RV220W. Up until about two weeks ago our VOIP service would send our voicemails to our emails in a wav. file. But that's stopped completely when we came back last monday. I contacted our VOIP provider and they said they only send emails on port 25 and that our port must not be open anymore. (No network changes have taken place on our end)
So I did the following to open up port 25:
    Then I
Still didn't work and they ran a diagnostic and got the following:
(10:42:30 AM) Liz: I restarted the postfix service and then tried to send a test:
(10:42:52 AM) Liz: Unfortunately, same timeout:
    Oct 3 10:41:55 pbxtra6939 postfix/smtp[12538]: connect to ratsound.mail.pairserver.com[66.39.4.106]: Connection timed out (port 25)
    Oct 3 10:41:55 pbxtra6939 postfix/smtp[12538]: AB9472EC010: to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=30, status=deferred (connect to ratsound.mail.pairserver.com[66.39.4.106]: Connection timed out)
Our normal email service reported that they received no activity on there end and our ISP said they were not blocking port 25. So it must be something in the network settings right?
Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me bananas.
    Thank You

  • Problems with Port Forwarding for RDP in WebVPN

    Hi,
I'm hoping somebody can help me solve this problem that's been bugging for weeks. We recently implemented a double-layer firewall architecture. Before that, our users can access RDP via port forwarding on WebVPN or the Cisco VPN client without any problems.
After we implemented the double-layer firewall architecture, users who are going through the WebVPN and port forwarding for RDP began to experience frequent disconnections, slowness or freezing connections. The users who are using the client are fine.
I checked the logs and I'm getting repetitive TCP-O for the port forwarding connections for RDP. Additional information: the FW we installed as a 2nd layer is Netscreen. I've already set the policy on it to Any-Any for the meantime to help in troubleshooting but to no avail.
I hope somebody can help me in sorting this out as I'm kind of confused on the difference between the port-forwarding for RDP via the WebVPN and the normal RDP via the client.

    Hi,
I didnt see anything marked with red in the above? (Atleast when I was reading)
I have not really had to deal with Routers at all since we all access control and NAT with firewalls.
But to me it seems you have allowed the traffic to the actual IP address of the internal server rather than the public IP NAT IP address which in this case seems to be configured to use your FastEthernet4 interfaces public IP address.
There also seems to be a Static NAT configured for the same internal host so I am wondering why the Static PAT (Port Forward) is used?

  • Problem with Port Forwarding - Password.

    Hello,
I have a LINKSYS router, model BEFW11S4 v4 and its firmware is version 1.52.02
My problem is that neither can I do Port Forwarding nor Port Triggering, because when I make the changes I need and press "Save Changes", it asks me for the username and password again. I write them again, but this time it does not accept them.
I have tested it with 2 laptops connected to the router wired the first time and wireless other times.
    What should I do?
    Thank you in advance.

Normally, you cannot "see your modem" in your network.  This is because a modem does not have an IP address.  A modem simply converts one signal (ADSL, DSL, or cable) into another signal which is an ethernet signal.
However, some devices that people call "modems" are actually "modem-routers".  In this case your "modem-router" probably does have an IP address.  If your system is set up correctly, you can "see"  a "modem-router" that has an IP address, but it is not part of your LAN (local area network).  It is on a another subnet.
The ethernet port of the modem should be wired to the "Internet" port on the BEFW11S4.  Do not connect the modem to any other port on the router.
Maybe we need to back up a step or two here.  I have always assumed that you were able to get a properly working wired Internet connection through your BEFW11S4.  Is that correct?
What is the make and model of your modem?
    Who is your ISP?
Also, when you set up your router, leave the username blank.   Do not try to add a user name.   Change the password to something unique.  Do not use the password default "admin"   (with no quotes).
Since you are still having problems, please use the following protocol to reset your router to factory defaults:
    1)  Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
    2)  Disconnect all wires from the router.
    3)  Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    4)  Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
    5)  Power down the router.
    6)  Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
    7)  Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
    8)  Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
    9)  Try to ping the router.  To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.  A black DOS box will appear.  Enter the following:  "ping 192.168.1.1"  (no quotes), and hit the Enter key.  You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out."   If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
    10)  Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1.  This will take you to your router's login page.  Leave the user name blank, and in the password field, enter "admin"  (with no quotes).   This will take you to your router setup page.  Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen).  Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt.  In this case, use the Linksys tftp.exe program to try to reload your router with the latest firmware.  After reloading the firmware, repeat the above procedure starting with step 1.
If you have problems, report back the results of steps 9 and 10.  Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.

  • Problem with Port Range Forwarding WRV54G

I have configured my WRV54G to do the following, in this order, on the Port Range Forwarding page of the router:
    1. Forward port 3389 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.100, a desktop PC. I have confirmed this works, a port scan shows this port is open and I can remote desktop into x.x.x.100
    2. Forward port 443 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.101. I have confirmed this works, a port scan shows this port is open I can VPN to an SSL concentrator at x.x.x.101
    3. Forward port 3390 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.102, a desktop PC. THIS DOES NOT WORK. A port scan shows that this port is not open. I have configured the remote desktop host at x.x.x.102 to use port 3390. Netstat shows that x.x.x.3390 is listening on this port. I can remote desktop to x.x.x.102 from inside the LAN, no problem, so it's not an issue with the PX configuration.
So, then I switched the order of the port forwarding instructions, in this order, as follows:
    1. Forward port 3389 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.100, a desktop PC. I have confirmed this works, a port scan shows this port is open and I can remote desktop into x.x.x.100
    2. Forward port 3390 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.102, a desktop PC. I have confirmed this
works, a port scan shows this port is open and I can remote desktop into x.x.x.102
    3. Forward port 443 to LAN Static IP x.x.x.101. THIS DOES NOT WORK. Port scan shows this port is not open.
It looks like the WRV54G is only recognizing the first two entries in the Port Range Forwarding table and IGNORING the third entry. HELP??!!
I have the latest firmware installed: v2.39.2e
Anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

Are you still using the DHCP server range of  x.x.x.100  through  x.x.x.149 ?   If so, then your problem may be that you are using illegal fixed LAN IP addresses.
With Linksys routers, any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the DHCP server range, and it cannot end in 0, 1, or 255.
I would suggest that you fix the illegal addresses, then see if that resolves your problem.
Here is the full set of rules for using fixed LAN IP addresses:
With Linksys routers, a fixed (static) LAN IP addresses must be assigned in the device that is using the address. So you need to enter the fixed address in the computer or printer, not in the router.
When using a Linksys router, any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the DHCP server range (typically 192.168.1.100 thru 192.168.1.149), and it cannot end in 0, 1, or 255.
Therefore any fixed LAN IP address would normally need to be in the range of
    192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.99 or
    192.168.1.150 thru 192.168.1.254
assuming you are still using the default DHCP server range.
Also, in the computer, when you set up a static LAN IP address, you would need to set the "Subnet mask" to 255.255.255.0 and the "Default Gateway" to 192.168.1.1 and "DNS server" to 192.168.1.1
It is also important that no two devices on your network be set to the same static LAN IP address.

  • 10g problem with ports

    Hi, I need some help:
I have an application running in an application server (JBoss -4.0.3) in a network. It connects to my 10g db (In other network) through a firewall. I know I have port 1521 open, and can do selects but when I try to make an insert from my application I obtain a connection timed out. I have heard that 10g uses as main connection port 1521 and after renegotiates more ports. Is it true? how can I configure this?
(The same application in developments enviroment (without firewall) works ok)
    Ty in advance
    FRU

Are you windows? If yes, setting 'USE_SHARED_SOCKETS=TRUE' (control panel ==> SYSTEM) should resolve the port redirection problem. For a detailed description see on metalink:
Port 1521 opened in firewall yet cannot connect to Oracle Server (ORA-12535,TNS-12203)
    Note:361284.1
This is an Oracle Net issue, should be independent from the kind of statements. So I'm surprised that 'select' works, but 'insert' does not.

  • Problems with port 6000 from my GUI application

    Hi,
I have a GUI application that try to open a Corba connection with a server on a dedicated port, but when I put my port to 6000 and launch my GUI application it will try eternally to open the Corba connection and blocks. I think that the 6000 port is used by X11 that is listning , is there any solution to disable the listning of X11 server on 6000 port.
    Regards,

Well, you shouldn't technically be using Port 6000-6063. They are registered to X11. See http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers.
A similar port conflict exists with the Oracle Distrubted Lock Manager and X11 on Sun Cluster
environments (and probably VCS as well). Someone at Oracle got silly and used ports 6000-6031 for
    the UDLM . 6000 is registered to X11 - Don't use it.
But that's not answering your question.
    cd /etc/rc2.d/
    sh S99dtlogin stop
    mv S99dtlogin .NOS99dtlogin
That should take care of stopping X11 from starting at boot time.

  • Wrt400n has problems with port forwarding

I have forwarded port 80 on my router and used a port forwarding tool to check to see if the port is open.  I select both and it tells me the UDP is open, but not the TCP.  Any idea why??  Thanks so much.  I have also used the same tool to check ports 3074, 88 and 53.  These ports are required for Xbox Live and I'm having an issue connecting.  it connect to the internet fine, but it appears this port may be the problem.  Please advise.

    Who is your ISP..?
Port no 80 is by default on the router. You do not have to open the port 80.For x-box open the port 53 and 3074.Also,under the Administration tab, disable the UPnP and Uncheck Filter Filter Anonymous Internet Requests under Security tab...Reduce the MTU value to 1365 under the setup tab.It should work now..Make sure while doing the port forwarding, you are providing the correct ip address on the router as well on the X-Box.
However,if your ISP is DSL then, convert the modem into the bridge mode to make your x-box working.

  • Problems with port 80

I can connect to the internet, however, I am losing all incoming packets on port 80! All other ports seem to be working fine....
I have tried updating all the software on my Mac and have re-installed the OS. Neither worked! On my router, I have updated the firmware, and tried re-setting the MTU levels. I have tried 1200 1454 1492 1500 and the auto setting. My router is a linksys WRX400. I have also tried removing the hardware firewall.
None of this has eliviated my problem and i've run out of thoughts!! Help please

Are you able to connect another computer to your network to see if it's a network issue or an MBP issue?

  • Embedded http server problem with port 80

    Hello Guys/Gals,
I have just installed the latest version of Oracle XE and APEX on redhat linux. I am trying to get rid of the 8080 port in my url. So I am trying to change my port to 80. I logged into pl/sql as system - exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport('80'); that seems to run fine. If I look at my lsnrctl status - I do not see the line for it listening on port 80 like it does when it's set to port 8080? I changed the owner of lsnrctl to root? I read that in an article to set port < 1024? Can someone please help me out. I am sure it's a permission thing but I can't figure it out. By the way everything works fine when the port is set to 8080 but???
    Thanks,
    Dan

Update I belive I got it to work. Here is what I think I did to make it work.
    chown root:root $ORACLE_HOME/bin/tnslsnr
    chmod 4755 tnslsnr
I logged into sqlplus as system -
    exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport('80');
Then added the following line to the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora LISTENER section
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dpmsurf)(PORT = 80))
    (PROTOCOL_STACK = (PRESENTATION = HTTP) (SESSION = RAW))
the stopped and started the listner
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl stop
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl start
Now I can run with out putting the port in the url .
    Thanks,
    Dpmsurf
