Problem with PP CC 2014 Starting UP

My issue is recently I am unable to start up CC 2014. I had been successfully editing a number of projects and then, perhaps, after an update, I can start CC 2014 but it comes up, shifts to the bottom of my screen and the window is unresponsive. The program on my Win7Pro machine shows it is running but without any response in the window (work area is black, menu bar exists but no action, need ctrl-alt-del to kill). I can run all other Adobe applications including PP CC with the latest update. I suspect there is some file of previous projects or configurations hanging this up. Other background: no changes in drivers to graphics. Suggestions would be helpful.

just went thru a bunch of troubleshooting with someone else with similar problem, they got it working after booting into safe mode with networking. it would open in that mode, then return to normal mode and it worked.

Problem with DW CC 2014.1 and the BC add on

Hi all,
I have had this problem on both of my computers that I have Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 installed on.
I have been using the program for some time, but suddenly on opening it I am unable to connect to BC to download a new site and start working on it using Site/Manage Sites in the top menu.
Instead I am sent to a page to download the BC add on. When I sign in to download it, I am told I have it already, and am not given a link to download it.
The steps to rectify this are:
1. Close out of DW
2. Go to Creative Cloud (figure 8) and open it.
3. Make sure Sync files option is turned on
4. Download the Add on manager.
5. Launch the Add on Manager and go around in circles for a while using the Add on manager to uninstall, and the webpage to download the BC app to uninstall and reinstall the app.
6. Start and quit out of DW while doing these steps (sorry I could not work out a logical sequence of things to do in steps 5 and 6)
7. Eventually DW CC 2014.1 will have the BC app and you will be able to connect to BC and download the site you want to work on
However once this was done, when I started working on the site in DW CC the preview for the template I was working on had a 404 error for the template, so I could not see in split view in DW how the page looked.
So I had to go back to Adobe Creative Cloud app and turn off file sync to see how the page looks in the split view.
I think there is something wrong with DW CC 2014.1 and file sync in the Adobe Creative Cloud app.

Problem with Indesign CC 2014 (Creative Cloud)

I tryed to install InDesign CC 2014 (in a Mac) from Creative Cloud but the installation hangs in 17%... Checking the logs shows me that there is a problem with the file.
Here is a screenshot of the logs
If this is correct the selected text says that the file is corrupted...
Note: This is the unique app that give me problems... I have installed Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Pro, etc. without any problem.
Any idea?

Problem with keyframe effect - at start and end (crop and scale)

I'm having this odd problem with keyframe effects.
Setup:
I have a gif image that I have on video 1 for say 2 minutes.
I have my real video on video 2. It is a person talking.
First I start with my video full size on top of video 1.
Though the motion and cropping keyframe management I slowly reduce the scale and crop my video image so that it is reduced to the lower left bottom of the screen, on top of the gif, which is now revealed.
My problem is at the start and end of the transition from full video to small box on lower left on top of my gif I often get 1-2 frames where the video goes blank and/or I get a bunch of random red bars on black background appearing on the video - Or I get the gif from video 1 without the video 2 at all (it disappears).
I've tried moving my start of end of the transition to skip the bad spots - but these new transition starts or ends not get their own bad spots in the same way. Its only a couple of frames but it's really unacceptable for the finished video.
Note, when I say transition here I don't mean real transition events, but rather the start of effects that are managed with keyframes. My move from start to end of the effect runs for about 4-6 seconds.
Any ideas?

Here is more detail and screen captures.
Concept:
I have 3 minutes of video. It contains a person making a speech. During parts of the speech I want to reveal a graphic image that will be discussed. The speech will begin with the speaker full screen. Half way in, the speaker will shrink down to 45% in the lower left corner of the screen. While the animation occurs (the shrink, move and cropping) it will reveal the graphic below. The graphic will take up the full screen with the speaker at 45%.
Technique:
I put the video in Video 2 and the graphic, a GIF image in Video 1. The scene begins with the speaker talking at full screen. After a minute, I animate the move of the speaker using Motion: Scale and Position and Effect: Crop changing Top, Bottom, Left and Right sides. The animation occurs over approximately 8 seconds.
I am manually adding keyframes at the start and end of the animation. I set the ending state of the video image in the end keyframes. The interpolation between these start and end keyframes should be managing the animation.
Problem:
At the beginning and end of the animation – usually 1-3 frames from the start and 1-3 frames from the end, where the change has barely begun or almost ended, I get these problems. On some frames, the video (in Video 2) completely disappears only showing the Video 1 GIF image below. On other frames, the video image turns black with horizontal red bands half way across.
Troublshooting:
I’ve tried deleting all start and end keyframes and moving the start and end earlier or later to see if I can fix this, but the problem continues to show up in these new locations.
I have added a few screen shots.
1:32:15 is the start of the animation change and 1:40:22 is the end of increasing from the mini video speaker to full size (on top of the GIF).
At 1:40:16 the video image completely disappears only showing the GIF below.
At 1:40:17 its back and slowly increases in size through the interpolation until it is full size at 1:40:22.

Performance problems with Photoshop CC 2014 in combination with the imac retina 5k

Hello,
I've been using the new imac retina, and i have enormous problems with the performance of Photoshop. If i for example use the selective color correction, this does not run smoothly. Other functions also work delayed. I noticed if i do not use Photoshop in full screen mode, everything goes back to normal. A friend used the predecessor model imac without 5k resolution, but has no problems. I suspect Photoshop has problems with the resolution of 5k.
Anyone here who has the same problem?

I hope Adobe fixed this problems with the next updates! With this terrible performance i cannot work. I actually just bought the new iMac Retina, because my old model was too slow... and now the Photoshop Performance is slower than on my old iMac. I have read that other users who have also a 5k iMac, report on same problems. So i hope that a update or a solution for this problems come very quickly!

Problem with torrent-downloading, dont start!?

I have a problem with my Transmission (torrent-downloading), it dont start to download any file. My friends has tried the same torrents-file and with no problems. I havnt had this problem before, it just started recently. I have tried BitTorrent to check if its something was wrong with Transmission but it didnt start either to download (BitTorrent say, "Checking for firewall..").
So have I change some preferences in Mac OS X or somewhere else that make this problems with torrens-download?

Problem with TouchSmart tx2-1275dx Starting. Help!

I am having a huge problem with my pc! In the last week, I have had to do 2 system recoveries on my computer after I receive a message at startup that says that my pc has failed to start windows, which may be due to the last shut down or a software change. Now I havent messed with either of those and when I try to start windows normally, it tries to start up but then goes right back to that screen and the only way I have been able to get around that is to do full system recoveries and restore the pc to its factory settings. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I dont know if I have the energy to go through this a 3rd time! Please help and thank you!!!

I wonder if you have WIndows Update turned on as "automatically download and update", some timesmultiple hotfixes and service packs may mess up the os. If this stops with windows update turned off, then set windows update to "download but let me decide when to update", and review what you are updating first. And apply the necessary ones only, one at a time.

Problems with new CC 2014 Software - Trial Activiation

i got the problem with using the new Adobe Creative Cloud Products of the 2014 version. I deinstalled the old versions and installed the new versions. when i use then adobe audition 2014 i works without any problems. if i now restart my computer i always get the message of audition, that my trial period has left. then i click on the button to license this software. now it connects to the adobe servers and the dialog disappears. i can use this software without any problems. but almost every time when i restart the computer i get now this dialog.
what i tried:
i deleted opm.db file in the oobe folder of the Windows AppData Path. nothing chances.
i am really fustrated. i am paying money for using this software, but i cannot use it properly. How do I get this "Trial dialogue" off again?
I am using Windows 8.1 64 Bit.

It is a normal personal computer. Without any optimization programs or similar. Even as Additional info: I subscribed to the annual contract the entire Creative Cloud. These problems occurred after uninstalling the old versions of the program and after the installation of the new 2014 versions. Before I had even before the one or other problem. Problem with my macbook pro start-up !!!

I have a macbook pro 13 linch running on OS X. Last night the battery of my laptop when dead and it got off. Today when i plugged in the laptop it was crashing while starting up. I started the laptop while holding the option key and it works fine but i have to hold the option key the entire time. when i let go of the option key i hear a sound near the cd drive and then the laptop shutdowns. Can anyone tell me what is the problem with my laptop?

More problems with new itunes not starting

Hi,
Have recently downloaded upgrade of iTunes and experienced the same problems as a few others - no response when trying to start it up. I was very happy indeed yesterday when the Quicktime standalone fix worked and my music reappeared. However, on restarting today, it's back to the square one - no response! Am I doing something wrong or is there anyone who can help?

I'm having the same problem on my desktop. I've done both a spyware search using ewido, and a virus check using symantec, neither of which helped. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and that also didn't help. Each time I try staring itunes I get the message:
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I'd be happy to send the error report that I get along with this message.
Oddly enough, this problem is only occuring on one computer. I have no problem with it on my laptop. I hadn't updated itunes for a while on my desktop.

Problems with iMac G5 not starting properly

Hello!
I am having troubles with my iMac G5 + iSight. It will only start in safe boot, and when it does it has some funny lines across the screen.
I know that it is not a hardware problem particularly because it used to boot fine sometimes and then only in safeboot.
I am wondering whether it is a firmware problem, or I need to reinstall the OS. I think it is a firmware problem because when I press option key on startup, that has the funny lines as well, so it may well be.
If anyone could please tell me where I can download a firmware updater/reinstaller and how to do it, I think it may fix the problem.

I do not know why your iMac has lines on it. As for not booting in normal mode, there are lots of cauuses for that. None of the causes has to do with firmware.
I suggest you take it to an Apple store.

Sometimes if volumes don't appear in Startup Manager (what you get when you hold down the Option key at startup), you need to reset the Mac's PRAM, NVRAM, and Open Firmware. Shut down the Mac, then power it up, and before the screen lights up, quickly hold down the Command, Option, P, and R keys, until the Mac has chimed twice more after the powerup chime. Then, before the screen lights up, hold down Command-Option-O-F until the Open Firmware screen appears. Then enter these lines, pressing Return after each one:
reset-nvram
set-defaults
reset-all

Help identifying a problem with G72 b45eb on start up

i have hp 72 b45eb running on windows 7. four years old no issues until now
i can start it up in safe mode, access everything, already reinstalled the drivers and implimeted a system repair.
every time start the pc up it runs trough normal windows startup.
then once the windows logo disapears the screen stays black.
it just runs like that until i plug in a external screen. then the blue screen jumps on.
need help finding the source af this problem and if you have it fix.

It is a problem with the video card, which likely means the motherboard. I would try a system recovery before thinking about hardware replacment, however. If you do not want to do that I suggest you run a video driver removal program to take it back to where the video shows as standard vga, which will probably work, and then install the latest video driver for your chipset.

I am having many problems with the CC 2014 application manager update

I have 2 seats. Thus I have CC 2014 installed on four computers. All four are high end desktops with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed, all four with the latest patches. All four also use high end nvidia graphics cards all with the latest drivers.
On all four, when I tried to update the application manager, only the frame of update the window was visible. Then, when I moused over the empty frame, the blue update button became visible, but nothing else. Since the common thread is nvidia drivers, it seems there may be a conflict. But one card is a Quadro FX 5800, another is 2x SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, another is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB, and the fourth is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3Gb. So all four have different cards.
I went ahead and installed the app mgr update and all the program updates on all four computers. All four had problems, two of them serious.
On one computer, there were problems booting up. The boot up problems went away when I restored to a prior image. I tried several times. The problem persisted. I finally gave up on updating this computer.
This boot up problem then happened on a second computer. I restored to a prior image and the problem went away here as well. I then tried the installs again. This time, the computer booted fine, but I lost the ability to send email. I use Thunderbird and have had no problems sending email ever (for at least the past 8 years). So I again restored to a prior image and the email problem went away. I then tried the installs a third time. Same result. Investigating, I was able to get an alternate outgoing mail server to work (that of my company site). But I never got the Verizon server to work. Incoming? Yes. But no outgoing.
On the third computer, I also had problems booting. But rebooting many times seems to have solved the problem. Unfortunately, Premiere crashes so often I've reverted to CC.
I realize that Adobe puts much work into making their software better. And I depend on it every day. But to be honest, I've just spent several whole days trying to fix broken computers. And my confidence in Adobe is at an all time low.
I so regret not staying with CC.
