I have a problem on my n8 with pr1.1, i can't acess this site, i have always a blank page and no video can be read.
Sorry for the example but this site cause the problem.

Having had to help a very embarrassed lady who was working in one of our Nokia Care call centres with a similar query back in my days as a contact centre trainer, I can quote from the results of the investigation that we made at the time and advise you that some of the... what is the best way to put this?... Some of the sites of the type to which you refer use slightly different standards of streaming video, or bespoke video formats similar to Flash video that require browser plugins to work; and that regrettably these particular sites tend to be compatible with PC browsers but not with mobile devices.

When I access www.thebytestopshere.com (my Web site), none of the text is rendered according to the rules set forth in the .css file. It does render correctly if I access the files from my C:\ drive. Problems with erradic crashes and loading of web sites and pages

I am running os 10.5.8 and have never had internet/issues. Recently my system will not be able to load web sites or they will take 5 min or more. Or a web site will load fine but then I will not be able to load pages from this site. There are websites that this is not an issue and ones that won't load at all. Then I can go back and try the sites/pages again and they will load only to freeze again. This is true for firefox or safari. I have tried the following.Apple software update; reload web browsers; delete plist from web browser preferences; cleared all the history files; deleted all the library caches; checked the security; run dnschanger; nothing has fixed the problem.... Could this be a virus? Please help!!!!!!!!!!

I opened more than one instance of my web application
in Internet Explorer by pressing CTRL + N. And I
tried to send the request from all the browsers. The
requests are stopping my Tomcat application server.
If I sent request from only one browser in that case
Tomcat is sending correct response to browser to
display in jsp pages.
I tested this 10 times by sending requests from
multiple browsers and all 10 times these requests
stopped the Tomcat application server.
Can any one please tell me where would I am going

And also I have problems with session timeout. I

interface and HttpSessionBindingEvent class?You don't need to capture the session idle time for that. You only need to check if the session has invalidated and display a message accordingly.

Problems with Adobe Acrobat links on a web site

Can anyone help me solve the following:
1) LINKS: I have a series of Acrobat files (15) connected with each other by more than a thousand links. I made them few years ago for a CD of a religious nature (for free distribution). The links assume that all the files they point to are in the same directory. On the CD all worked perfectly.
I'm now opening a web site and, even if my Acrobat files are in the same directory of the server, when I open the site each file is loaded on a different “Temp”. directory. This occurs even when the files are "packed" in one *pkg,pdf file. In this case, all packaged files are opened by a single click but are still loaded each on different directory and thus the existing links don't work.
Combining all files in a single one, would entail redirecting all links and also result into a huge file manageable only if the "visitor" had an optical fibre connection.
I work with Acrobat Standard 8.1 and with Windows XP professional.

I can't access to certain web sites

I can't access to several websites (www.isisparenting.com, www.etvnet.com), including my internet television. So, I'm wasting my money. Traceroute revealed that certain nods are unavailable and stop signal passing. This is weird because the idea of Internet is based on re-routing if such kind of things happens. I chatted to Verizon representative (chat ID# 12261042593) and was suprised to know that this issue is "out of their boundaries". Is this my Internet provider, I ask myself? Seems like charging money is done better by them.
I use MAC so neither firewall nor antivirus are installed that could potentially block some sites. I did basic things like restarting computer, router, trying different browsers. Nothing helped.
Very important that I also tryed to connect via AT&T 3G on my phone and successfully accessed those sites. So, this is obviously Verizon problem.

Pinging 66.228.118.XX gives 100% packet loss.
Problem like this happens time to time (http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Can-t-access-certain-websites-including-my-own-for-second... and how it is resolved is unclear.
I would appreciate if people share their opinion and experience. I would also like to hear some helpful suggestions from Verizon techs.

yeah they have a two to four hour lease time with their ip's.   so without calling them and asking that they release the ip address, the 20 minutes would be too short timewise.,

TimeMatters Adobe plugin causes problems with certain Web sites

During a recent upgrade of Adobe professional (6.0 to 8.0) on a Windows 2000 TS we discovered that a program called TimeMatters had installed a couple of plugins to IE 6 including an Adobe plugin. The Adobe plugin caused certain Web sites to be inaccessible. Once we removed the TimeMatters Adobe plugin we were able to access the sites we previously could not access.

Good to know. Both useful pieces of knowledge for others if something similar happens to them - Adobe plug-ins not necessarily from Adobe.

Java problems preventing log-in to certain web sites when using Safari or Chrome browsers

I am unable to log into certain websites uaing Safari, Google Chrome and FIrefox.
Safari just gives me a red exclamation mark.
Google Chrome does the same thing.
Firefox at least gives me this error message:
"Your browser does not have the Sun Java system component installed or it is incorrectly installed. In order to run the platform, please download and install the latest version by clicking here."
So i click on the link and it takes me here:
http://www.java.com/en/
which is a download site for the latest version of Java. When i click on the download button i get taken to this website:
http://www.java.com/en/download/apple_manual.jsp?locale=en
which basically says that "Apple supplies their own version of Java". There is a link to the Apple store and instructions on how to get the latest software updates for your operating system (mine is OS X 10.6.8 - Snow Leopard).
I have the latest version of all updates, there is nothing for me to update!!
So i search the Apple store support area for the latest version of Java and download that (Java For Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8). Turns out i already have this version on my Mac. Still doesnt work!!!
Am not impressed. I read somewhere that Apple is always behind in its Java updates and if a website you are trying to access has a later version, well, to bad for you. If that is the case that is very poor form for a company with record Billion dollar profits. This experience has put me off purchasing further Macs.

I have an iMac-have used Firefox exclusively for years. I can't access a school web site-can't get past the log in with user ID and password. Screen stays at log in screen. Tried clearing history-tried uninstall and re-install. All other web sites/bookmarks work fine. Thanks in advance.

Try clearing the cache and deleting cookies for the site, this can sometimes resolve problems accessing sites that used to work. See [[how to clear the cache]] and [[deleting cookies]] for details.

Problem with program hanging randomly on certain commands from win 7 pro client to SB Server

Having a problem with program hanging randomly on certain commands from Win-7 Pro Client to SB Server Both 64-Bit
Five other slower XP-Pro 32 Bit systems though they are older and slower systems do not seem to hang as readily if at all.
It has been very frustrating as the Client-System, SB-Server and Program should work w/o any hitches, but this seems to work fine @ times and then hang randomly.

You can try this, as I have had similar problems with another MS Access .MDB file and slow access before. This fixed my problem for me. On the slow computer, make sure the program is set to see the .mdb file via UNC path, not a mapped drive letter. ex.
USE: \\yourserver\shared\dental\file.mdb
DO NOT: S:\\shared\dental\file.mdb

Has anyone had problems with iCloud being blocked by corporate web security?

Has anyone else encountered problems with iCloud being blocked by the web-security on company computers? I never had any problems with me.com, but now it appears I will be unable to check my mail via any computer at work.
Since iCloud is a portal for high-volume image and file sharing, I can understand why the site would be blocked, but it's very frustrating that this possibility would not have been anticipated, and an alternate web-mail site been set up. Otherwise many me.com subscribers may be left unable to use the iCloud web-mail portal via computers at work or at internet cafes that may block access to potentially risky websites.
Has anyone figured out a back door to this problem?

I dont beleive its an iOS 5 Issue - i think its hardware...
Simply because i have been running iOS 5 beta's since june and there were no issues with my iPhone 4.
When i installed the GM on my iphone 4 (which is the same build as the public release) there were no issues with charging in my vehicle.
Now, charging my iPhone 4S in my car is practically impossible.
when i plug mine in, it will display the "Plugged" symbol on the battery display but not actually charge. the battery will still decrease.
then it will randomly "disconnect" and not register that it is plugged in. then appear to be plugged in, then not, then plugged in, then not.
This will repeat over and over again without actually charging and the charger being in the socket throughout.
however yesterday i left it plugged in and my battery was 9% and after the strange plugged-in behaviour i noticed it was charging normally after about 20 mins in the car.
But when i did the same journey time today, the battery wouldnt register at all.... charging has only been successful ONCE since 14th October on the iPhone 4s
No idea whats up with it...

Have no problems with my MB accessing it, but with MB-AIR it says - 'the version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. pls contact your system administrator to resolve the problem'. MB-Air uses maverick downloaded yesterday - upgrade from mountain lion. MB uses snow leopard still, as i am quite used to it and am thinking of upgrade if mavericks work fine on air. Also have parallel on snow leopard but it is no longer supported according to mac website - if i upgrade am i going to lose my parallel and will have to buy a new one!!!

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Exensions tab.
If there are any installed, switch the button to off, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If there is more than one extension insalled, uninstall one a time, quit and relaunch Safari and test.

instead of User DNS on the server. The ftexec.exe on your server partition
will be launched by the NodeMgr running as UID SYSTEM. User DNS are not

Firefox 4 beta on my and another system ended up not being able to load certain web sites ie igoogle so went back to 3.6 has anyone else had the same problem

firefox 4 beta ended up on certain web sites grinding to a halt then stopped responding igoogle is a prime example firefox 3.6 is fine with the web site it was not doing it till the 12th beta version and its happened on two systems so im not alone its resulted in me removing firefox 4 and i will wait until its officially released

Although FF4 is so nice I'm almost ready to ditch iGoogle!
Please fix what appears to be an RSS/iGoogle issue with FF4...
Gmail is fine, but titles dont show in most RSS feed gadgets and no stories, strangely, apart from this one:
