Problem with Preview in New Maverick Software

I am a footwear designer, and I often take rough shots of shoes and use them as reference when drawing in Illustrator. The problem I'm having is I take a photo w/ my camera, open the photo in preview to quickly edit the image, I then crop, color, and resize the image so it is not too big, and save it under one of my folders on my desktop. The Thumbnail photo on the sidebar of Preview appears updated to my latest edited version of the photo. I then DRAG and DROP the image from the Preview thumbnail into Illustrator (which in the past worked perfect) - But now w/ Maverick the image reverts BACK to the original Pre-edited image when i drop it into illustrator from the thumbnail in Preview. I then have to REOPEN the file from my finder to get the latest version of my image. VERY ANNOYING and slowing me down. Any idea why the saved edited versions of my photos in Preview are not actually updating in the thumbnails when dragged to another program??? how do I fix this?

My suggestion would be to validate your page first:

If you're unsure of how to fix the problems, the validator offers a check box for HTML Tidy which will clean up your code for you.
If after that, your page is still doing something you don't want, post again

Hi, i have a big problem with the synchronization by Desktop Software (6.1.0.35).
When I installed DS i set to folder sync photos not as
... Documents / BlackBerry / photo (created by default),
but i chose
... Documents / Pictures / Photos from the BlackBerry (created by me).
Basically now I try to change the import folder of images, but it appears the error that is
"Can not set a folder to import to a higher level of import folder"
I tried deleting / Photos from the BlackBerry, and not finding my DS it says:
"The import folder is not available ... etc.." and tells me to change it or with the button or the Media tab of the Device menu> Options.
I do it but the message is always the same: "Unable to set a higher level of import folder to import folder"
I find it an absurd bug and ask to help me solve it. Thanks

Well folks. I've had enough.
The 9780 is a great phone, it's easy to use, practical and dependable. However, the Desktop Manager software has been giving me too many sleepless nights. On two occassions I must add: once at the end of last year when I bought it and only managed to solve it by myself after 4 weeks of trawling through online forums, blogs and other BB help sites and the recent one was last week when I tried to install it on my new Windows 7 notebook.
I know this is not entirely the fault of RIM, Microsoft also has a part to play. But considering the state of technology these days, it shouldn't have to be so difficult. I want a phone and software that makes my life easier and not have to be a slave to it by trying days and nights to solve its problems.
Hence, I have officially decom my phone and gotten an iPhone 4 instead. The switch ain't that difficult for me as I have always been platform neutral. As long it fits my needs, does it job well and doesn't give me too much headache, I'm cool with it.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I am running Snow Leopard. Transferring the same texts to TextEdit has no problems, so this is a Pages problem, I think. Corruption of Times New Roman and Arial fonts, I suspect, but where? and what do I do about it? I just need to be pointed to a source of advice, I think.

Problem with Preview and PSD files - random gray square

Hi guys, hope you can help...
I've got a problem with Preview and PSD files.
If I open in Preview both an original jpg straight from my reflex and the photoshop version of the same picture, the psd file presents a gray square (of what it seems unrendered image) in a random area of the photo (sometimes in the center.). The square is quite big...
If I zoom in or zoom out it disappears...if I scroll to another photo and then back to the psd, the square it's there again...sometimes in a different position.
I've tried the same psd on my older iMac with leopard...and got no problem at all.
I suspect it got something to do with my Ati...
(this is the second iMac 27...the first went back for gray banding on the lcd screen and flickering and yellow tinge........)

maybe I'm onto something...
I've just found out that opening Preview in 32bit mode (instead of default 64bit) works flawlessly with any psd files. If I switch back to 64bit mode, Preview is much faster but the gray square comes back...
It seems like the i7 is much faster than the Ati....
Any more realistic ideas?

Problem with preview PDF files on Windows 7 32bit

in my office I have a problem with preview PDF files on my computers. The files are allright, but if I select a file and click on preview mode after ~ 10sec operation system write something "Preview this file is corrupt for PDF Preview Handler wrong". On other 64bit computers with same programs the preview is work. I try uninstall all Adobe soft (Reader, Flash), clean all Adobe data from folders in root and in register, but it is not solve this problem. On Microsoft forums wrote me, that the problem is probably with AR plugin.
So, can someone help me?
Config PC:
Windows 7 32/64bit Pro
Intel i3, 4GB
Adobe Reader 11.0.5
Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX
Adobe Flash Player 15 plugin

I know OSX 10.9 Mavericks introduced a power saving feature called App Nap which is meant to slow down applications that it determins are inactive (or when minimized). This would mostly likely cause problems if you're dynamically linking After Effects comps to your timeline or sometimes exporting to Media Encoder.
Try disabling App Nap for all your Adobe App files...
Go to your Applications folder
Go into individual Adobe app folders (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC)
Right-click on the Adobe app file (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC.app) and select Get Info
When the info window opens up, add a checkmark beside "Prevent App Nap"
Restart the application
This fixed all my performance issues.

Problem with Preview fonts

I am having a problem with previewing PDFs. No matter the source of the PDFs, the fonts are not displaying correctly. They all have jagged edges and some are unreadable. I've followed a few advices found on postings no no avail. I changed my Macbook Pro to a brandnew one and migrated data using a time-machine restore and the problem (of course) followed me. If anybody can help I will appreciate. For the time being I am using Adobe reader.

The support adviced me to delete the host-file in system32/drivers/etc but that didn't change anything either.

Did you create a package for enterprise deployment?
Creative Suite Enterprise Deployment | Adobe Developer Connection
The Adobe Enterprise packaging tool varies depending on which version of CS or CC you are packaging.
Also you need to have a license/serial number that supports the use of enterprise deployment tools. These tools allow you to create an install package that is already serialised and doesn't prompt for AdobeID where you license agreement supports such deployments.
Also what image deployment system are you using to which client OS.
The process is pretty simple now with the improved tools from Adobe, still some improvements they can make but it's a lot better than in the past.

Problems with Preview and Digital Camera

Hi All,
I bought a Konica Minolta DImageX1 camera and the first few pics I took and downloaded them onto my ibook ans view them on Preview everything was alright. However, everytime I now transfer pictures to my laptop and when I view them with Preview it displays the following message:
"Preview cannot display the image properly. The file may be corrupt. Reason: Can't cache file". After this the image is loaded anyway.
But when I transfer the pictures to my Windows PC and I view them there, I get no warning message. And I downloaded an Image Viewer freeware from Versiontracker.com and it gave no warning message as well.
Any suggestions as to what could cause this problem with Preview?

But what I am using is DiMAGE Z6.
What I am concern is that if this affect the image quality.

Hey Guys,Here is a link to instructions on how How to obtain and to install USB 2.0 drivers in Windows XP Service Pack . http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q329632?Win2000 and later have the capability to support USB 2.0, but USB 2.0 was released after XP was release, so there weren't any drivers installed before Windows XP service pack 2. Make sure you've installed all your windows updates including service pack 2. You can check if you have SP2 by right-clicking on my computer and choosing "properties", it will say on the general tab. Also the way to tell if you have USB 2.0 drivers installed is to right-click on my choose "Manage", then choose "device manager" look down to "uni'versal serial Bus controllers" and click on the + . This will expand the USB devices. Look for the word "enchanced" (USB enhanced host controller). If you see it, then you have USB 2.0 support. If not, use the link above and get the drivers. Check Settings/iTunes and AppStore/AppleID and make sure that your AppleID is filled in. If not , sign out and sign in with the correct info.
To make sure that no other apps or videos are on your device than the one you bought, set it up as new device, explained here: How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Content that is not bought with your ID can't be used on your phone, that's why his ID and password is asked when you try to use those apps downloaded in the store.
