Problem with printing with Quicken

I am suddenly experiencing a problem when trying to print checks with Quicken 11. I have been using this program with my HP C310a printer for several weeks with no real problem, but after having to reinstall the printer after some network problems I can no longer print checks or reports using the Quicken program. I am using Quicken Deluxe 2011 and my operating system is windows 7.
The Quicken program seems to send the docs to the printer and the printer sounds like it is getting ready to print, but then the printer signals an end to the process and stops. Noting gets printed and nothing is in the print queue.
Please help me resove this.

But what ever printer specific options are available are supplied by the manafacturer's print driver and these are available on the last print window

Borderless problem when printing with HP Photosmart K510A

help me with this one HP support is closed today, are you experiencing this borderless problem if printing bordless a part of the image gets cut off when printing right now I'm printing in 4R the when I "print preview" the image is not cut off but when the actual output of print its cut off in all 4 corners maybe a few millimeters
look at my watermark its cut off my aspect ratio is 3:2
I printed it on a 4x6 paper (4R) they have identical aspect ratio I even tried to cropped to 4R still it gets cut off or is this an HP printer problem
please help this is getting frustrating

Problem to print with HP Color LaserJet CP3525 (PCL 6) on Server

I have a printer HP Color LaserJet CP3525 in a server, and I installed with the correct drivers for that but the printing output is strange. I'm trying to print in A4 paper, and everything is just printed in 1/4 of the page. The most strange is that the graphics are scaled to the 1/4 of the page while the text is exactly with the same size than the complete page, but all the letter are overlapping each other.
I also tried to print with a generic configuration and print in all the page but I can't print with color, just the black toner is used, so the quality is really bad.
Please, help me!

This sounds like a driver issue. You mention the printer being PCL6. Can you confirm which driver you are using when the 1/4 page prints occur. My guess is that it would be one of the Gutenprint drivers included with SL and this sort of output can occur when the printer driver is not supported by the printer.
Also, with regards to the Generic, which I assume is the Generic PCL Laser Printer driver included with SL, this by default is set to 300dpi. You can change this print quality setting to 600dpi, which will improve your output, especially the graphics. However this driver only supports black & white printing. So if you want to print in color from the Mac and the printer does not support PostScript, then you should look at installing the pxlmono package.

Editing pdf document with prints with DPI

Because I can't afford Adobe Acrobat to edit pdf(s) I use Page and Word. I use photoshop to create digital art work and save them at 300 DPI. For the first book I created with an online publisher the art work looked good. However, I re-did the book and added more art work but the publisher kept telling my dpi was less than 200 and it would come out blurry. They were right. I received the proof and the proof was blurry and pixel lated. To try to correct this I tried a larger dpi but this didn't do anything. Has anyone had a similar problem with prints and dpi becoming less when the original was 300 dpi yet changes when trying to get published to less of 200. I know this complicated and maybe hard to follow. I don't know how to explain it better.

You're confusing "enabled" with "allowed".
If I were to guess I'd say you are looking at the security in File>Properties and seeing the word "allowed".
That just means if the creator of the file had added form fields, you would be "allowed" to fill them out.

I am using HP Deskjet F370 All-in-One Printer. Recently I am facing a critcal problem.
I am unable to print anything in red or brown colour.
The cartridges are in good condition with more than 80% ink level in color cartridge and 65% above in black cartridge.
I have done alignment of printer cartridges and also reset the printer.
However after that, I have taken a test print which works fine. I can print in black or any other colour expect red and brown.
Whenever I am trying to print anything in brown it is coming out in green colour.
I don't know what to do....Please help.

URGENCY! problem with printing with Epson matrix printer

I have Epson printers : LX-300+ and FX-980.
I want to print a report from an Oracle application on continous paper.My report is one page.
The printer is set with:
auto tear off=on
page length for tractor=12 (inches)
At the first print job the paper advanced until the perforation line .
At the next print job the paper advanced until 1 cm before the perforation line and this is my problem.
In my report I set in the main section the following dimensions :
Width=20.5
Height=30.4
Character Mode
Report width=132
Report Height=85
What can I do so at every print job my paper advanced correctly until the perforation line?

Same/similar issue for Epson printer has been fixed in reports 6i patch7.
I would suggest you to apply the latest reports 6i patch (patch 12)

Problems setting printer with Bonjour

I have a recent iMac and a new airport extreme with a Samsung printer plugged into it. My son has a new PC with Windows Vista. He has no problems accessing the internet via wireless through the airport extreme. But unable to print to the Samsung printer.
He has installed BONJOUR, goes through the set-up, selects the printer etc. and then at the end of the set-up process, he clicks on "finish," at which point he gets a message that "you do not have sufficient access privileges" or something like that. OR, even more often, BONJOUR freezes and he has to do a force quit. In any case, he is unable to use the printer.
Is there some setting on my iMac that I need to set so he can get through BONJOUR? OR ????

Most of the Bonjour discussions seem to be talking about using Airport Drive and Airport Printers (USB drive and printers attached to the Airport Station). In that case I found that the Windows Firewall software is usually the point of trouble: The Firewall on Windows must allow UDP port 5353 for incoming traffic for XP/Vista to recognize the Bonjour printer or drive.
However, your scenarios is different. I take it that you are trying to share a Mac printer that's directly attached to the Mac. In this case it's really about "File and Printer sharing" on the Mac side, unlikely related to Bonjour.
Here are my suggestions (I have not tried these yet):
- On the Mac side, turn on these items through "Sharing" (System Configurations):
- Windows File Sharing
- Personal File Shring
- Printer Sharing
- Then on "Printer and Fax" configurations, turn on "Printer Sharing".
Try it and see how far you can get

Having problems wirelessly printer with Airport and my Epson CX400

I recently bought an Airport Express and an Epson CX400. The printer works fine plugged in via USB to my computer but it doesn't work when plugged into my Airport Express. The odd thing is that my computer recognizes the printer in Print & Fax, however in the Epson Print Utility it doesn't and when I go to print a page I get the error, "printer is offline." I've tried re-installing the drivers and just about everything Apple suggested. I Googled the issue and I didn't find anything helpful or up-to-date. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? A response would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with an Epson CX9400Fax. My printer setting says Location: Base Station eb8bbb. I've done all the updates I can find, talked to the friendly people at my local computer store. No help there. I just upgraded this computer from OS X 10.3 to 10.5.6. The printer worked wirelessly then. I have another iBookG4 that prints wirelessly just fine. So, what's up? Turtle

Margin problem when printing with canon printer

When I try to print a pages document on my canon pixma ip4500 printer (which they sold me at the apple store when i bought the laptop), the bottom margin does not appear. There is a space only about half an inch under the last line of text. Everything looks fine on the screen, but i cant get to print it with a bottom margin. and i don't even know how to set it manually...
ps, the printer isnt set for a 8 1/2 by 14 sheet, it really is for a 8 1/2 by 11

That’s going to depend on what the document consists of. If it’s a single element such as a graphic or PDF, reduce the size. If it’s text, you can use a smaller point size, slightly reduce paragraph spacing, make a headline smaller, etc. If it’s text and graphic, reduce the size of the graphic(s) a little. But first, set your document margins to agree with your printer margins.

Trouble with printing with windows printing via spoolss

My school has network printing that worked with snow leopard but doesn't work anymore with Lion and the IT-guys don't know how to fix this issue

Get them to enable LPR (aka Unix Print Services) on the Windows print server and you can use LPD on the Mac instead of SMB to print from the Mac.
If they won't enable LPR then you may just need to remove the printer and any previous login keychain for the SMB connection and add the queue again.

How to share OSX Mac with printer with OS 9 Mac???

i have an airport with itunes wireless network with a powerbook G4 (10.4.6) and an ibook (9.2.2). the OSX computer is sharing a brother USB printer that is connected to a wireless print server (motorola, not airport).
the OSX prints perfectly (after three weeks of setup heartache...don't buy a motorola for a mac!!!). i have set up the printer to be shared in system preferences on the OSX computer (it is called 10.0.1.100).
i clicked on the network icon in the chooser in the OS 9 computer and connected it to the OSX computer. when i did, an icon magically showed up on the OS 9 desktop that is named "10.0.1.100".
i tried following the "Help" instructions on the OS 9 computer to set up printer sharing (turning on USB printer sharing, open its control panel, click on the network tab and add the printer). when i click the add button, nothing happens so i can't add the printer.
where do i go from here?

Two ways -
If you have a printer driver in Classic on OS X that is able to print, you can add the USB printer sharing Control Panel to Classic and turn it on to share the printer. You'd have to keep Classic running all the time, and there might be some conflict with OS X printing. ... OK, this one isn't a good option.
Second way. Go to Printer Setup and highlight the Brother and click Show Info. Write down the Queue Name. Go to Network Prefs and write down the OS X IP address, too.
On the OS 9 computer, find the Desktop Printer Utility and run it. Add a new LPD printer. Enter IP address, use an Apple LaserWriter PPD (or Color LaserWriter if the printer is color), enter the Queue Name where requested.
The concept is to send postscript to the OS X print queue, where it is translated and sent to the printer.
I've done this successfully several times, including one with a Brother HL2040 printer.

Issue with printing with Acrobat Reader X

Hello, we recently upgraded to Acrobat Reader X on our Terminal Servers and we are having a print issue. When a PDF is being printed, on any printer, the same fonts are not printing like how the pdf is being displayed on the screen. This is only happening to some of our users and for others the PDF is printing correctly. Has anyone experienced this issue? Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks for any help.

Quick responce! I just tested running as admin, but that gives the same result, bad print format. We updated from version 8 to X last week. Print as Image gives a good result, and is good as a workaround, but not a permanent solution.

I don't have a air print compatible printer, and none of the apps available in the appstore are able to print! They recognise the printer, which is an (all-in-one) but nothing prints on giving the print command.
Any thoughts?
