Problem with publishing

I keep getting this message:
Publish failed due to a network error. Check your Internet connection and try again.
What should I be looking for when I check my internet connection?

I've had this message many times... i use a 3G card on my laptop and i can see my Internet Connection's activity in the OPEN INTERNET CONNECTION menu under the phone icon.
I see two bars, one for the receiving activity, one for the sending activity.
I cant explain why, but it seems like if my internet connection stops for a few seconds while I'm publishing my iWeb site, (no send or receive activity on those bars) i get the same error message as you.
I just try to republish again until it goes through.
Maybe you can try going somewhere, like a strong WIFI spot, where the connection is very strong and wont go down while you publish... it doesn't disconnect you from the internet, but just goes down temporaly. That doesnt affect you when you are browsing through websites, but iWeb doesnt like it.

Problems with publishing on Flash CS6

I just started having problems with my Flash CS6 program. Any thing I have designed in the last two days I publish but the html file will not run the flash. I know that my flash on my laptop recently updated but the html file will not open and run on our desk top either or a friend's computer. Any suggestions. I have designed an action script only file, a flash and action script file and a straight flash file and none of them will work. The files I designed prior to this week still work.

click file>publish settings>html>template>flash only.

Problems with publishing to Business Catalyst

Hi!
I am suddenly experiencing issues with publishing my Muse site to Business Catalyst. This worked fine just earlier today, and I have never had any problems with it before. But now I just get either the following error: "Unknown Adobe Business Catalyst error has occured. Status: 0, 0." or a window where the OK button for publishing is grey. See screenshots below.
What is wrong? I tried deactivating and quit, and then log in again, but that didn't help.

I have the same problem. Please, can anyone help us? Adobe guys, don´t you have a solution for this?

A problem with publish service icon

I have a problem with a LR plugin I'm working on.
My plugin is a common publish service. The code is VERY similar to the flickr plugin.
My problem is with publish service icon. No matter what do I do, the icon is missing (in LR). I have set the publishServiceProvider.small_icon property to the name of my icon file. The file is present in the same folder, as the rest of the plugin files.
At first, I thought that perhaps something is wrong with the image. But when I tried to use the same icon for the flickr plugin, everything was ok. So the image is in correct format.
What can be the cause of my problem?
BTW, I use LR 3.2 and 3.3, if it's important.

I've never *noticed* a problem with icon resources, not that I would have, but I have noticed the problem with other plugin files, on Mac. Its almost as if Lightroom takes a snapshot of what's there then ignores new stuff when you reload the plugin.
e.g. ExifMeta re-writes the metadata definition module. On Windows, simply reloading the plugin incorporates the newly re-written module, whereas on Mac, Lightroom must be restarted for it to be incorporated. Perhaps these issues are related.

Problem with publishing in cs5

Hi, we seem to be expiriencing the following issues with cs5 trial version.
The problem:
After making changes to a perfectly working fla it won't publish correctly,
meaning:
1. When previewing all the components jump (as usually happens when there is
a compile error) but no error is displayed in the log.
In this case when used with the whole project, the project doesn't load,
even though the corrupted fla is not the first loaded (non of the fla loads
besides the preloader).
2. When previewing and running with the whole project the labels on the
button components disappear, but only the ones that are dynamically changed
by an external as file.
*there are other similar bugs as well like unable to enter the table in the
game etc.
The changes I make before it happens:
- changing the size of a shape inside a movie clip.
- changing the size of a movie clip.
- changing anything in an already existing code (like changing the size of a
font).
- adding new basic code anywhere (like trace code).
- changing button skins.
Basically, any change I make corrupts the file but not consistently,
meaning,
I can make the same change twice and the file will break only one of the
times, or, I can make several changes until it breaks.
It also happens on every computer but also, not consistently, I can work for
a while, making the same change, deleting, making the change again etc, only
on the fifth or sixth time the file will break. On a different computer it
can take only two or three times.
The corrupted file start working again after I change the name of the folder
containing my project or move all the files to a different folder anywhere
on my computer. After a short while the file crushes again.
p.s, i used the latest cs5 updates and that did not solve the problem.

Seems you have encountered a weird problem. I have been using CS 5 for quite sometime now without any such issues.
Would it be possible for you to share an example fla that is causing the problem.
It would be great if you could provide a copy of the fla that gets published ( before making changes)
and a copy of the fla that is broken ( after making changes)
If it is possible for you to provide the fla then probaby I could help you out in finding the issue.

Problems With Publishing a file from a Mac

Hi everyone, i'm developing a website with a designer. I'm doing the coding part, while he is doing the design. We are using Flash CS3 with AS2.
I made a common preloader for the website and sent to him where he applied the design to the program. Problem is, i'm using windows vista home premium, while he is using Mac.
I developed the preloader and sent to him, it worked like a charm on the mac, but then he sent the file back to me and i can't publish the fla.
It seems that everytime i hit ctrl+enter he doesn´t do anything. Worst than that, if i have the swf in the same directory as the fla, when try to publish it, it deletes de swf file...
I really need help on thins, does anyone have an idea about what's happening ?

Do you get an error? Look in the Publish Settings window. In the first pane, check the paths for the .swf and the .html files.

Audio timing problems with publishing AVI files... Desperate for suggestions!...anyone?

I could really use someone's suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue. Been working on this issue for 6 weeks, with no solution in sight.
I have created demonstration tutorials in Captivate 4, (purchased, not demo) and am using the text to speech (Kate's voice) as the audio. I am trying to get an AVI file as the final product, as I will be publishing this on YouTube.
When I publish the file as an AVI, the audio does not sync with the video. (The audio is slightly faster, so when I get to the 15th slide, the audio is ahead of the video.) However, when I publish to an SWF file, the audio syncs perfectly.
I had been working with Adobe Tech Support, and their feeling was that my file was corrupted. So I created a brand new file, new recordings, etc, even made this file shorter (3 minutes long), and I experienced the same problem. Deleted all non-used files. Working on the local drive, not on the network.
To troubleshoot this, we recently reformatted the hard drive on this machine, took every program off, defragmented, so the system is very lean and clean. We reinstalled Captivate and all the updates from the Adobe website links, in case our CD version of the app was corrupt.
Added more memory, so now we have 3 GIG of memory.
Running XP, the only installed programs are MS Office, Kasperski, and Captivate.
I restarted, and do not have any other program actively running (except Kasperski)
Does anyone have any experience with the same problem, or suggestions on what else I can do to fix this problem?

On the TTS bit I'd be totally shocked to discover it were a factor. This is because the only thing that happens with it (as near as I can tell) is that the text is converted to a WAV/MP3 file same as would occur by virtue of recording one using a microphone. So I figure a WAV is a WAV is a WAV.
Then again, I never claim to know it all about anything. Then again, I also think anyone that DOES claim to know all there is to know is either foolhardy or a pompous donkey.

Problems with publishing after updating to iWeb 1.1.2

I get the following message after updating to iWeb 1.1.2:
Can't create the file “shapeimage1_link0.png.” The disk may be damaged, full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges.
I guess my disk could be damaged, but it seems odd that it worked yesterday before the update and not today (I have the same access priveledges as before). Is there anyway I can get around this problem? I also have the newest Apple updates (10.4.8).
I get the same message if I try to publish to a folder or try to publish to .mac.

I am still having the problem after uninstalling 1.1.2 and resinstalling iWeb and then upgrading to 1.1.1. I followed the directions. I still find it strange that it worked prior to the upgrade but not after. However, reverting to the old version has not fixed the problem.
Could it be something with OS X 10.4.8? That was also upgraded at the same time.
I even deleted my blog entry (the only thing that changed since my last time publishing) and that did not fix the problem. Thus, I cannot publish the same web page in 1.1.1 that I could last week. I have run the disk utility and repaired permissions. I am not sure what to try.
Has anyone used other software in which I could take all the pages I have created and modify them in another program? I don't mind learning a new program, but I don't want to lose everything I have. I figure it will be easier to figure out a new program if I am tweaking already existing html files.

LR 5Have a problem with publishing hanging up

When publishing my publishing screen comes up showing all the pics I have published and the new ones to be published. After publishing, I can't get back to my other folders. It hangs up and the only way I can get back is to close the app. Any suggestions? I have all of the current updates.

Problems with publishing

I went to moble me and logged on. I then opened Iweb and clicked on publish. I set it for mobile me and entered my website name. I own the domain name. But I noticed that below where I entered my .com it said that I was not signed on to Mobile me. How can this be when I already logged on to it?
I also noticed the other day that when I am logged onto mobile me, I can click on my .com that is there and a page comes up telling me that it cannot find the page I am looking for. I have already informed my previous web host that I was leaving, and they changed the cname to the one mobile me suggests. SO I am totally loast as to what the issue is. Van anyone help me out?

Sadly I cannot see it at all. When I bring up iweb I automaticly get the mobile me screen that you get when you try to publish. But for some reason it always tells me I am not logged on to mobile me. Therefor I can't do anything else with it. And I also cannot get that mobile me screen off of there. As soon as I open my iweb, that screen pops right up there and I am basicly stuck there. The upper left screen of iweb has my websire address, but with mobile me telling me I am not logged on, I can't seem to do anything about it. I'm pretty confused right now.

Rendering problem with Publishing HTML field

I am running into an issue with a publishing HTML field. I have added this field to a content type. On a page layout which uses this content type, I have this field only in an edit mode panel. This field is not intended to be rendered on the page. However,
if I use an HTML form web part in this field, the field is actually rendered on the page. It is rendered with a <div style='display:none'>. I need to use an HTML form web part because I don't want the markup I am entering to be altered. Is there any
way I can avoid this and not have it rendered since it is only contained within an edit mode panel?

click file/publish settings/formats, make sure the swf and html boxes are selected, and click the use default names button. then click file/publish. are the files in your directory with your fla?
if not, create a new directory (that has no subdirectories), save your fla to that new directory using a new name (ie, click file/save as). then click file/publish. check the new directory for your 3 files.

Problem with published 'web'

I'm quite new to Adobe Animate.
Just did a simple 'drag n drop' mini site using jQuery UI and it works fine when I preview it, but if I publish it, I get an error:
TypeError: sym.$(...).draggable is not a function

Like I said, if I preview (cmd+enter) it works fine, it gives the error when I open the html file published.

Problem with Publishing a project and BusinessObject.Enterprise.SDK.dll

I am trying to publish my Visual Basic Application and it comes up with an error of Unable to find file BusinessObject.Enterprise.Sdk.ziplib.netmodule of multi-file assembly BusinessObject.Enterpise.Sdk.dll. A file is there where it is looking for it but it is named BusinessObject.Enterprise.Sdk.ziplib.netmodule.bakSp1.
It is also giving me the same error with the folowing files:
BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Sdk.dll
BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Sdk.SS1.netmodule
BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Sdk.netmodule
All of the files are there but they end with a bakSp1
Does anyone have a clue as to what I am doing wrong?

Are those assemblies in the GAC? They should have been added to the GAC with the install.
The bakSp1 suffix tag RTM files that were upgraded by installing Service Pack 1. There should be two files there - one with the bakSp1 (the backup) and one without.
It may be that your installation was misconfigured.

CS5.5 vs. CS5 PROBLEM with publishing Air for Android

Hello,
My Air app publishes fine to my 2.2 and 2.3 Android Phones from Adobe Flash Professional CS5 - and the app runs fine. Debugger is clean.
When publishing from CS5.5 however, it puts the app on the phone, but the screen turns black and the app quits (on HTC incredible v2.2). on The Evo 4G (v.2.3) the black screen stays up but app is unresponsive.
Is there any reason an app wouldn't function because of which version of Flash Professional (CS5 vs CS5.5) it is published from?
I've heard some people complaining that 5.5 isn't including the support files (I have an XML), but I can't see the support files or apk on my phone (utility?).
Any insight on this would be helpful.
