Problem with Re-Installation of CS4 from a download on My Adobe (Corrupt Installations DB)

I have tried to use the online chat app and telephone to get a response, but have had no luck.
I recently tried to reinstall Adobe CS4 on my computer after it crashed.
I downloaded the version I had purchased from My Adobe and everything seemed fine.
After running the Setup program it came back with a dialog box saying that the Installer Database was corrupt and that I should contact customer support.
I have since attempted to download it two more times, with Akamai and without. Both time with the same result.
I was told when I finally reached a support person that this is the only vehicle for support of CS4.
Starting to get very frustrated.
Any Help appreciated.

You may have a hard drive problem. When I installed Lion, the installer told me that it couldn't complete because the hard drive was failing (or broken, the exact words escape me). Since the HD had been functioning just fine, I took it to the Genius Bar, and found out that yes, the hard drive was slowly dying (bad sectors). I couldn't reboot into Snow Leopard, the installer wouldn't let me and then the drive just wouldn't work at all.
I had to replace my drive and restore from Time Machine. Thankfully, I had Time Machine, and had just done a backup 5 minutes before the crash.

I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

Problem with the installation file

Hello Everyone!
I am trying to install Nokia Ovi Suite in my Windows 7 computer from yesterday, whenever I run the web installer file I am getting the Error Message as "Problem with the installation file" (attached as a jpeg file with this post).
I have downloaded the exe file (approx 88.4MB from : http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller_ALL.exe ) several times, still no luck.
Anyone is having the solution for this problem?

I've downloaded it so many times I nearly exceeded my download limit ! Seriously , I know others must be able to get it , so why is there a problem ? I'm going to stop at the store where I purchased the phone and get THEM to try. If the sig is OK , I'm going to copy it and bring it home , if it's NOT OK then maybe they'll take it up with Nokia as they're the ones selling it to the ' happy customers' ..? When I first contacted support , they said to disable both firewall and A/V before attempting to download it ? I've downloaded thousands of files and never had to do that ? Sure ,you might have to disable something during installation , but not for the download ? I even did it in safe mode with networking and the same thing happened. I even asked if they could send me an install CD and they said NO. Not happy about that either..We'll see what happens.. I like the phone ..I'd just like it to do what I bought it for !!

Trouble with itunes upgrade I receive an error message problem with windows installer package

I am trying to upgrade itunes. I am running windows vista 64. Everytime I try to upgrade I get an error that says Problem with windows installer package. Anyone know how to fix this?

Is anyone have problems with Maverick installation?

I had problems with Maverick installation. It moved slowly and I lost the ability to use my Finder. It was riddled with bugs. I am trying to figure out why. I ended up erasing hard drive and reinstalling Mountian Lion.

How much free storage space on your iMac?
Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
The v10.9 Mavericks file is a little over 5GB's and Mavericks does require a high speed broadband connection.

I have a problem with universal installer (version 2.1) as trying to intall IDS. Always it worked fine, but now, when I click on Next button of the home selector page (I fill right from/to fields), I get the message saying "problem to access the intermediate area; review if the values of destiny and origin are valid". In Spanish exactly is: "Se ha producido un problema al acceder a la zona intermedia. Asegúrese de que los valores especificados para \'Origen\' y \'Destino\' son válidos".
It stops the proccess and I can't continue. I review the log file and read the values and error message .
I deinstalled the ids pack, so may be it did some damage on my oracle installation. Also I try to start with another version I have on my computer (2.2), and it crashs just when I click on Next button of the welcome page. At the "hs_err_pidxx" of \archives of programs\oracle\oui, I can read the following:

Do your install files reside in a path with spaces in it? I've experienced some problems with the Universal Installer, if e.g. I have my files in
c:\install\Oracle Forms 9i\
but if I write
c:\install\Oracle_Forms_9i\
there's no problem.

It is from trying to use 64-bit versions on Macs that have old out of date EFI32 and don't support Windows 64-bit.

You have to either use 32-bit version or modify the DVD which means making a new ISO and reburning with changes, usually using Windows in a VM.

Problem with linux installation on Thinkpad T410i

Hello everyone. I have a problem with an installation of Linux (Debian). Installation ended in my Thinkpad T410i, but when you are starting, the computer constantly restarts. With windows does not happen. What's the problem?
Probe with two versions: one with and one without GUI, and always restarts during startup stage or just finish loading the operating system. If eligo Windows in GRUB, the pc works normally.
I appreciate any help you can give me.

Go to "control panel" then "add or remove programs". Highlight "Apple software update" Choose "change" click "Repair" This should do the trick. Then download and install iTunes 10.5 again.

Firstly, are you installing iTunes for the first time or are you updating your current version of iTunes?
If you're installing iTunes for the first time have you tried redownloading the installer package? Perhaps the file you downloaded originally is corrupted...

If you've tried that, then try installing iTunes as your computer's administrator. To do this right-click the install package and choose "Run as administrator".
If you're updating iTunes to the most recent version try repairing the Apple Software Update program on your computer. It's under the add/remove programs.
1. Open the control panel
2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

Managed to get the installation sorted. Go to Control Panel, and where you have a list of all installed programs, repair all the Apple/Itunes related programs. Installation worked fine after that. Hopefully it helps you out too!

I get 2 different results when I execute the above with SQLPlus (or java) depending on the instance I am connected to. For one instance the result is a single character and for the other the character is padded with blanks to 32 chars in the SQLPlus window (and java). Does anyone know what database setting causes this to happen? Is it a version issue ?

Using 9.2.0.6 On AIX 5.2 I get the single byte result:

If the databases are on different Oracle Homes you may want to check the sqlplus global logon files for any set commands.
If you executed the two sql statements from different OS directories you may also want to check your sqlpath for sqlplus .logon files.
Try issueing clear columns and repeating the statement. Are the results the same?
