I installed windows phone 10 on my phone (lumia 730) and after a survey decided to turn back to WP 8.1. So, I installed windows phone recovery tool on my lap top and connected my phone with in. In the middle of recovery process the connection failed and
my phone turned off. Now, it does not power on and there is no response to charge and it seems the phone is dead. please guide me in this way.

According to my experience, the problem like store game app open failed probably caused by hardware driver. such as Audio and Graphic driver. So, first of all, please try to reinstall these two driver to fix this problem for test.
In addition, for SFC scan failed problem, it can be caused by many reasons, I would suggest you use another command to fix your system for test.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Also you can test SFC command in Windows 8.1 safe mode.
Thirdly, if problem persists, please check Event Viewer, generally speaking, it would record the app open failed events.

I recently switched from Windows PC to a new Mac and cannot install the Acrobat 7.0 Professional CD that I used with Windows on the Mac. Am I missing something, or do I need to buy a whole new product?

Samsung SSD causing problem with upgrade from Windows 8.0 to 8.1

I'm having trouble upgrading my HP Desktop from the OEM installed Windows 8.0 to 8.1. I first attempted the upgrade when 8.1 was first rolled out. It seemed to upgrade okay, but after a reboot I was left with a black screen... no error messages, just a black screen.
I retried it this morning, but this time it failed with DPC_Watchdog_Exception and then Machine_Check_Exception. After searching through several forums, I'm "guessing" it may be Disk 0, which is a Samsung 830 Series SSD (Model: MZ7PC256/0H1, s/n: S0U3NSAC705912, p/n: MZ7PC256HAFU-000H1) that was installed and configured by HP when I ordered this desktop in 2012.
Samsung's Magician software doesn't recognize this SDD as a supported product, but they do identify it as a Samsung MZ7PC256HAFU-000H1, with Firmware version CXM05H1Q. I thought I'd see if a firmware upgrade was available, but there's no information about this SSD on Samsung's support site. Also, HP doesn't offer any firmware for this SSD... not even the original firmware. Everything I've seen on the internet says it's a custom OEM SSD that's not supported by Samsung.
I'm not desparate to upgrade to Win8.1, but I would like to know exactly why the upgrade keeps failing. I have another SSD available (a Samsung 850 Pro, model: MZ-7KE256BW) that I've considered using to replace the current Drive 0, but I hate swapping out parts without knowing it's actually the problem.
I'm open to advice. The info on my current system follows. Also, I should point out that there are no device conflicts nor outdate drivers.

Hi,
You will find the latest firmware for the Samsung 830 at the Samsung SSD download site. Additionally, you will also find the latest version of the Samsung Magician.
Backup your data and be sure to create the external HP recovery media.
I prefer not to clone but rather to use the external HP recovery media to load the SSD.
If you are not on the latest SSD firmware then flash the SSD. Use the latest version of the Magician to do so.
Disable Secure Boot in the BIOS before cloning the hard drive.
Then reformat and clone the SSD using the latest Samsung migration software. Use the original HP hard drive as the source and it needs to be intact as you need to bring across all of the partitions.
Power off the PC and disconnect the original boot HD.
Connect the SSD to the original boot SATA port.
Do not have any other SSDs or hard drives connected that contain an EFI partitions or you might run into issues with multiple Windows boot loders.

I had to get a new iPhone 5 and downloaded my existing apps through iCloud. However, one of the apps from my old phone was upgraded and I paid a yearly subscription fee. When I received my new phone and downloaded this upgraded app, my new phone did not recognize my paid subscription and now is prompting me for another upgrade. How do I get this phone to recognize my upgraded app?

Do not sync contacts, since your mountain lion has contacts of your husband.
Verify, that you use separate icloud accounts. Do not sync anything with itunes (including your apps and music) until you sign in to your own icloud account, after you verify that you have your own contacts on the phone.

Problem with Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10

I tried to get Windows 10 on my Probook 4540s and it downloads fine. It then checks the software on the computer and find a program that is not compatable and says I must uninstall it to continue. I would uninstall it but want to be sure I am noy going to cause more issues by doing so. The program that it does not like is the HP tools software, it includes the biometric scan and such. Would it be safe to uninstall these or should I wait to see if there will be a workaround for this issue.

There is no workaround other than removing it as suggested, that software is not compatible with W10 and never will be.

Problems with migration from Windows to Mac

I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro and proceeded to move my Lightroom program and catalog to the new computer. I have 77,000 digital image files stored on an external hard drive, so I placed my catalog on the external drive to make the move to the new machine. I plugged the hard drive into the new laptop and wasn't pleased to see that my catalog seemed to work fine. However, when I ran the 'find missing files' command the program identified over 22,000 images that couldn't be located. When I manually went to point the catalog to the files' locations nothing happened. Repeating the locate missing files command produced an error saying that the image couldn't be used because it was already linked.
I'm confused about what to do here..... about the only thing I can thing of now is to totally recreate the catalog, which would of course make me lose the work I've done for the last 9 months.
Any suggestions?

I'm having problem with shares on Windows 2003R2 server from a Windows 8.1 PC. It times out when I try to copy a file from my PC to the server and I get an error message saying "There is a problem accessing network drive W:\. Make sure you are
connected to the network and try again."
I have no problem copying files from the server to the PC.

How about your problem now? Have you test other machine also installed Windows 8.1? Did they have this problem?
To diagnose this problem, firstly, please check Windows 2003R2 firewall settings, also can disable firewall temporarilly for test.
Secondly, try to use Network Monitor to capture network communication package for test.

Is there a problem with JFrame and window listeners?

As the subject implies, i'm having a problem with my JFrame window and the window listeners. I believe i have implemented it properly (i copied it from another class that works). Anyway, none of the events are caught and i'm not sure why. Here's the code

It turned out that my ide was running the old jar and not updating it, so no matter what code i added, it wasn't being seen. Everything should be fine now.

Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

Programs (Safari, mail, messages) keep crashing, mail will not delete properly (some will keep popping into my inbox again for no reason!!!), slow, settings lock up etc. etc.
This only seemed to become an issue once I updated to ios 5.1 and funnily also affected my Ipad even though i hadn't updated the software yet. I have since updated the software on my ipad thinking it might help too but that only made things worse!! So I am not sure if it's an ICloud issue, but when i try to disable ICloud my devices lock up as well.
The battery life is also shocking!!
I have hard reset both devices, restored both devices, reset the setting and tried a whole host of other suggestions (like closing background programs) on this forum buit nothing works and i am tearing my hair out.
I looked in the phone and ipad log and there do seem to be low memory reports though i don't know why these are occuring now when they never have before??
I don't know if I can restore the old operating system (If I can please let me know how). The phone or ipad are not jailbroken.

but you should have a backup in itunes.
Every time you sync your iOS device iTunes creates a backup. go check if its there, iTunes Preferences >Devices. and there you should see if you have a backup, and in case from which date the backup is.
And ofcourse you can get your icloud data back by just logging in with your Appleid under icloud in settings on the iphone.
But anyway, if the iPhone works when you restor it as new: try adding your backup, and see if the issue comes back. And experiment with your backup and try to work out what is causing the issue, my guess is that its some app! Good Luck!

Why do I have to switch from Windows Phone to Android?

This year all my friends with Windows Phone (WP) had switched to Android. Why? The Apps. I continued with WP until now because the OS is very cool (particularly the 8.1 desktop) and because I love Nokia Phones. And the new 830 and 930 models look great.
But I will buy a new Fuji X30 Camera, I need the Wifi remote app for some shoots, I have no choice
Now, I will give a list of reasons my friends left WP because lack or applications, maybe somebody at Microsoft is listening and can revert this tendency.
1. Bank Applications (Bancolombia APP)
2. Giro D’Italia app from La gazzetta dello sport.
3. Stereopinic Concert app.
4. General Motors - Chevrolet navigation/location app.
Another annoying thing with Nokia phones in emerging markets is they don’t distribute all the accessories (headphones, wireless chargers, cases), so you have to buy them from another country make them expensive. I even met three months ago the commercial leader for Nokia here in Colombia, a group of people mentioned this, but nothing has changed since then. The updates came very late and right now I’m not able to use Cortana
I hope Microsoft starts investing hard on apps and identify that little temporal applications for just one week or month (sport events/concerts) and start to create mechanisms to get things done. They just can’t waste the 6’000.000 consumers in US and the 10% share market in some countries in Europe and in emerging markets.

I don't endorse any mobile phone brand nor receive any free stuff from them. Neither did I advertise anything. It was rather a recommendation if the starter of this thread would like ot purchase an Android phone. Censorship won't help to sell any more Lumia phones.
I cannot blame anybody who's about to purchase an Android phone. Being a Windows Mobile & Phone user since 2006 I've seen those strategic mistakes Microsoft has made when the 1st and the 2nd generation of Windows Phones were released (the price of developer account etc. etc.). It's very hard to mend those things afterwards but I sincerely hope it won't be impossible.
I'm blessed that I live in FInland because Nokia has always been considered as a Finnish mobile brand and therefore there are all those (well, almost all) necessary apps available for Windows Phone. IMO the best Nokia app has been Here Transit. I really don't need Here Drive+ because they don't bother to include speed cams and line assistance to their app. Just take a look at Navigation Europe and there you have the best possible navigation app for Windows Phone. Waze is also great and it's free. Hmm, I guess that sentence will be censored because I recommended something
I've been quite pleased with the latest Windows Phones. They haven't crashed like my Dell Venue Pro did (first Windows Phone ever) or like my Android phone, tablet and TV box. But in order to increase the market share of Windows Phones there are two ways:
1) good (amount of) apps, great hardware and/or
2) double booting phone where it's possible to choose whether to boot to Android or to Windows Phone. I'd love to have that kinda phone with the goods described in 1)

Problem with touchpad and Windows 8.1. Acer Aspire E5-511

I bought an Acer Aspire E5-511, but I have problem with touchpad and Windows 8.1.The touchpad (Synaptics) is not working with Windows 8.1 x64, but it works fine with Windows 7 x64 and Windows 8 x64.When I install Windows 8.1 and have to choose” language to install” I can’t choose anything with the touchpad. I should plug in my mouse to continue. I doesn’t work even when it’s fully installed and with latest driver (available only for win 8.1 x64) from Acer’s website. I tried with an older driver, but had no success. I updated BIOS, but it doesn’t work again. In hardware IDS in device manager it shows HID\… not ACPI\… (like win 7/8). Fn+F7 doesn’t help.When I try to install Windows7/8 the touchpad is working properly at the beginning (I can choose ”language to install”, “Time and currency format”… and the touchpad works after install even without driver).

SOLUTION So guys after deep research and troubleshooting I found that you need to keep notice of a few things at time of installation: Installation Mode: UEFI (only)- LEGACY would create touchpad issues. after installation of windows just follow the driver installation hierarchy 1.Intel NB_Chipset_M Baytrail-M 2.Intel I/O Driver then rest of the crap. Note:After doing all this make sure your touchpad is active >> Fn+F7 Just wished if this solution came from an acer executive , the world would have been a better place , but anyways this is what community is for. Enjoy everyone

8.Continue holding down the # key and re-apply power.
9.While still holding the # key wait for the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light on the handset to start flashing.
10.Once the MWI light is flashing, release the # key and enter the following sequence exactly on the keypad:

Once this sequence has been entered on the IP Phone, if all the network criteria above have been met, it should begin its recovery process. This process can take up to 15 minutes to finish. The phone may appear to be doing nothing during this time. However, if the phone does not recover after 20 minutes then it is possible that the recovery is stuck. In this case, re-examine your network and verify that steps 1-4 are in place, then re-issue the factory reset sequence.
* Note: The factory reset sequence is a way for a phone to clear flash and still upload to a valid firmware image. This is facilitated by the termxx.default.loads file, but requires that the image files listed in the termxx.default.loads file are available in TFTP for the phone to download. Open the termxx.default.loads file in any text editor. This loads file is essentially just a packing list showing all the OS and application files the phone needs to function. The files include a cnu, cvm, dsp, app and jar files. Please make sure that these files as listed in the termxx.default.loads file are in TFTP. ("xx" will be either "06" for the CP-7906G model, or "11" for the CP-7911G model.)
Additional Diagnostic Steps:
- Try a hard-coded IP address as a test to see if this resolves the upgrade failures. If it does, and the number of failing IP Phones is relatively few, this procedure may be the most expedient. After the IP Phone upgrades successfully, reconfigure the IP Phone to use DHCP.
- Try putting the phone on a hub or a different switch and see if this helps change the startup timing enough so that the upgrade completes successfully.

Problem with the Finder window in Chrome

Hello,
I have a problem with my finder window in Chrome.
Since the window isn't a separate window anymore, but stuck to the top of the webpage, my finder window is too big. I can't read the "Cancel" or "Send" (I have no idea what's supposed to be there in English but I assume it's something like "send" and "cancel") buttons. I have provided some images of the problem, even if I make the Chrome window as small as possible, the finder window still is too big for my screen. I can resize the finder window from lest to right, but not up or down, which is extremely irritating for me.
If anyone can help me how I can solve this problem.

I found the solution on another thread...Here it is.
"I was having the same problem. I found a way to make it smaller. First, I opened chrome and clicked the green button on the window to make chrome go into full screen. Then I tried to save a file to make the finder window open in chrome. When it opened in full screen I could see the bottom of the window so I resized it to make it a little smaller. Once I did this it remembered the size so now I can access the bottom buttons when I take it out of full screen mode. Hope this helps."
