Problem with refresh of snapshot

I am facing one problem with refresh of a snapshot. In the front end (developed in D2K) there is a PL/SQL code written which loops through user_snapshots and refreshes each snapshots one by one.
With one particular snapshot its giving the error. I traced the session and found the problematic snapshot. I tried to refresh the same snapshot with some other user with DBA role granted to it and its working fine.
Now I logged in to SQL Plus with the user Z0000 ( This is the user with which the application user logs in to the application) and tried to rerfresh the snapshot. Its giving me ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel. Then I granted DBA role to user Z000 and then tried to refresh its again giving the same error.
I tried with many different users and its working fine.
Any ideas where could be the problem.
Thanks

Hi,
did you try to do it locally?
Maybe a possible problem on the network.
This issue remembers me a bug on older versions.
It is strange on a 10.2

  • Problem with MATERIALIZED VIEW (snapshot)

    Hi,
    I've any problem with creating MATERIALIZED VIEW (snapshot)
    My table is ROOMS:
    SQL> DESC ROOMS

    LS_ID VARCHAR2(32)
    BL_ID NOT NULL VARCHAR2(32) PRIMARY KEY1

    I'd like to create one MATERIALIZED VIEW that refresh every 30 seconds when I insert, update or delete on ROOMS table.
    I tried this:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW ROOMS_SNAP
    BUILD IMMEDIATE
    REFRESH complete
    START WITH to_date(sysdate,'dd/mm/yyyy hh24:mi:ss')
    NEXT sysdate + 30/86400
    disable QUERY REWRITE
    AS
    SELECT LS_ID, SITE_ID
    FROM ROOMS
    GROUP BY LS_ID, SITE_ID
    but when I insert, update or delete one record on ROOMS table, ROOMS_SNAP not refresh.
    What I wrong?
    How Can I write MATERIALIZED VIEW to maintain synchronization
    between ROOMS_SNAP AND LS_ID, SITE_ID by ROOMS?
    Thanks

    Try this way:

  • Problem with "take a snapshot"

    Hello All,
    I have a problem with the function "Take a snapshot"
    My snapshots are blurred, whatever the percentage of the page.
    It is a big problem for me when a try to take a pic for my presentation.
    What can I do?
    Could you help me ?
    Thanks a lot
    Emma

    Thank you
    I am reassured, that I am not the ones which it happens.
    Just to say that I was doing this regularly there a few months without any problems. The image was perfect, not blurred.
    I do not know what happened, and I just wanted to find a solution, and I think that Adobe can do that

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing a problem with LOV if i keep this in Table Overflow area,

    But the if move the same lov item from Table Overflow area to Table layout it works fine.
    I tried my best to look into this but i could not, can any one suggest me what i need to do for this refresh issue.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hello Rahul,
    Strange, it's working for me.
    I assume you added Employees as reference entity to your updatable entity in your ViewObject.
    Did you uncheck "Key attribute" in EmployeeId of your reference entity?
    Anything in the log?

  • Problems with Refresh / Deleting Tracks and Album ...

    There are times when refreshing the Music Player library either won't complete (eg: after you've dropped the phone popping out the battery in the middle of a refresh .. or is that just me?) or deleted tracks and album art won't disappear from the Music library after a refresh.
    These problems are often down to corruption of the library and  the only thing to do is to delete the library files and start over.  Even a hard reset of the phone won't fix this as the files are stored on the card / mass memory.
    To delete the library files:
    - Ensure you can see hidden files in Windows Explorer:
    Windows Explorer .. Tools .. Folder Options .. View
    Select "Show hidden files and folders"
    - Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable in "Data transfer" mode
    - Find and rename (or delete if you're really brave) files with names like:
    E:\private\101FFC31\mpxv1.mpd
    E:\private\101FFC31\pcv5.mpd
    E:\private\101ffca9\harvesterdb.dat
    (assuming the phone's mass memory / card has been connected as E
    Note that the folder names may be different and the files may have prefixes - eg: mpxv1.mpd could be called abcmpxv1.mpd.  Basically, you need to search under the Private folder for any files that look similar.
    If you rename files - eg: by adding a ".o" to the end of the name - instead of deleting them, you can always just change the name back if you find you need those files back.
    - Refresh the Music Player library
    This will take longer than normal as it's a complete refresh, but it should now work.

    Hi,
    What version of Workspace Manager are you using ? I tested this with 9.2.0.4 and everything worked as expected. I was unable to update the row from the WK2 workspace after refreshing it.
    Please note that after removing WK1, all locks that had been held by the WK1 workspace are dropped. So, when you update the row for a second time, you are actually locking the row that had been merged(which is contained in the TOP workspace) and not the row from the LIVE workspace. So any workspace that references the row from the LIVE workspace, and not the one from the TOP workspace, would be able to update the row.
    This is the case that exists before refreshing WK2. However, after refreshing WK2, it will then use the row from the TOP workspace. Since this row is locked it would be unable update the row.

  • Problem with Refreshing the data bound text fields

    Folks,
    First of all, this a GREAT product and I am moving my apps from Eclipse to Studio Creator. I am very impessed with it so far.
    I am gone through most tutorials, but can't help resolve the problem that I am having. I have a page, that lists all the users in a table. When you click on any user, it opens up another page that lists the detail of the specific user you have clicked on. This a typical use in most web applications, right?
    In the user detail page, I open it in "Read" only mode, by setting the "setReadOnly" to true for all text field components. Then users can edit it by clicking "Edit" button. Edit button just changes the "setReadOnly" to false, to allow editing. After editing, they can hit the "Save" button to save the changes. In the save button, I call this code:
    public void prerender() {
            try {
                userID=getSessionBean1().getUserID();
                getSessionBean1().getWeb_userRowSetUserDetail().setObject(1,userID);
                getWeb_userDataProviderUserDetail().refresh();
                info("prerender: Refresh called");
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                error("Error in userForm.prerender():"+ex.getMessage()+ex.getStackTrace());
                log("Error in userForm.prerender():", ex);
            setReadWrite();
    public String btnSave_action() {
            try {
                getWeb_userDataProviderUserDetail().commitChanges();
                getWeb_userDataProviderUserDetail().refresh();
                info("Data Provider Refreshed in SAVE");
                _readOnly=true;
                form1.discardSubmittedValues("saveVForm");
                info("User Updated New:"+userID);
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                log("Error Description", ex);
            return null;
        public String btnEdit_action() {
            try {
                _readOnly=false;
                //info("User ID Edt="+getSessionBean1().getUserID());
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                error("Error in userForm.btnEdit_action:"+ex.getMessage()+ex.getStackTrace());
                log("Error in userForm.btnEdit_action():", ex);
            return null;
        private void setReadWrite(){
            // Set read-only to true or false for all text fiels
            this.btnEdit.setVisible(_readOnly);
            this.btnSave.setVisible(!_readOnly);
            this.user_id.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_email_client.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_email_office.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_fname.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_lname.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_id.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_password.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_password_conf.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_cell.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_cell_aac.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_client.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_home.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_office.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
        }When the save button is clicked, the database is updated (as I can verify by looking directly into the database), but the data-bound text fields do not display the new value. YES, I am calling refresh() on data provider? I tried to call refresh in both "preRender()" and "Save" button action event, but that did not help either.
    Please note that the save button also changes the "setReadOnly" back to TRUE for all text fields. That means, users view the page in Read-Only mode after saving. (They have to click on "Edit" button again to edit it). I discovered that if I do not set the text field components in "ReadOnly" mode, then they display the updated value of the fields. But if I change setReadOnly to TRUE, then they display the old values (before the save).
    Any idea what I am doing wrong here?
    Thanks

    Here is my experience with it. I have three text
    boxes to be filled out. They are part of a virtual
    form with an add button as the submit. You can fill
    out the 3 and add them and a node is added to a tree
    component. When you click on a node in the tree
    component (the submit to another virtual form that
    the 3 buttons participate in) the text fields should
    be loaded with the values that they where added with.Hard to tell from this explanation, but if the text fields do not participate in a virtual form, then they are not going to get updated when an action in the virtual form happens. Not sure this is your problem. Like I say, hard to tell from this explanation.
    They will not display the values though...having
    nothing to do with read only. If I disable them
    before hand...they display the updated values. If I
    set their value at the top or bottom of prerender,
    they display the change...if I set the value in an if
    conditional that is hit (I have checked many times)
    in prerender, they will not display the values. If I
    set them in the tree handler anywhere, they will not
    display the values. This is very frustrating and is
    wasting tons of my time...I simply want to load the
    text fields based on the tree node that was
    clicked...I have messed with this for hours and it
    certainly does not work.Well, setting them in the tree handler won't work because the tree handler gets called in the page instance that handles the submit and not the page instance that renders the response.
    Posting your prerender code might help. Also, your action handler.

  • Problems with refreshing a adf table

    Hi,
    i am using jdeveloper 11 with the new adf framework.
    I use a table which i bind to an arraylist. works fine. the table shows the data from the list.
    at sometime i change the backing arraylist but the table show (only in the section i saw on the screen) the old data, when i scroll down the new data is shown.
    so i know the arraylist holds the new data and the binding is ok but the refresh of the table doesnt work in the section i see....
    hope you understand my problem
    hannes

    Hi,
    As far as I understand , you are not clearing the previous or old data. This results in your table showing the new data towards the end.
    If you are using something like this : List tableRows = new ArrayList(); to populate the data in the table , ensure that you clear this list everytime you method runs
    You can do this by : tableRows.clear()

  • JDev 11.1.1.2.0: Problem with refresh in form view after delete

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to delete the current row in a form view with the delete binding operation and obviously I do NOT want to fire any validations so I use the immediate = true but that causes the ADF lifecycle to skip the update models phase and thus my fields are not refreshed with the new current row after the old row has been deleted.
    How can I fix this ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    First the standard disclaimer: SQL code should be in a servlet/bean. It has no place on a JSP.
    I would recommend you write a bean method that returns a list of objects, and then iterate over that list of objects on the JSP.
    What exception does is getting thrown?
    At a guess, your problem is that you are not releasing all resources. Connections, statements, resultsets...
    That is probably hidden inside your DBBean. You are maybe releasing your result set with the statement Rset.close() - but if an exception happens even that wouldn't be executed.
    Any sql code should be in a try/catch block, with resources being freed in the finally.
    Cheers,
    evnafets

  • Problem with Refresh

    Hi all,
    I have a main page which consists of 3 frames. 2 of these hold content of JSP's only, the problem is that when I press refresh I get an error 500, saying that there is an error in my main page i.e. "Can't happen - classname is null, who added this ?". I dont know how I can go about getting the main page to remember where it is at, should I create the contents of the main page with a JSP? Any advice would be mostly appreciated, as I need to get this working by tommorow if possible.

    Hi Osian,
    your error is not so much clear. Still iam trying. Are u seeing this error in IE5? Sometimes, in IE, you can get some 'cann't display-error' message comes wherefrom u can't get the root of the error. You can try that out in Netscape 4.74. It gives almost perfect error.
    I don't know whether I have caught that or not.

  • Problem with refreshing jtable. help please urgent.

    hi there
    i can refresh the table now, but the problem is that every time it refreshes, it adds the same data to the freshed table. i just need the table to display what was displayed few seconds ago unless there is change in the datasource. here is my code:
    public void run()
    String selectSQL = "select * from buyerordertable";
    int rowCounter = 1;
    boolean okay = true;
    ResultSet rs;
    Vector rowdata = new Vector();
    Vector columNames = new Vector();
    columNames.add("order Id");
    columNames.add("suplier name");
    columNames.add("item name");
    columNames.add("model");
    columNames.add("quantity");
    columNames.add("price");
    columNames.add("description");
    columNames.add("job Id");
    columNames.add("order confirm Id");
    while (okay)

    PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement(selectSQL);
    rs = null;
    rs = ps.executeQuery();
    while(rs.next())
    Vector temp =new Vector();
    String orderid = rs.getString("OrderID");
    temp.add(orderid);
    String supplier =rs.getString("supplierName");
    temp.add(supplier);
    String item = rs.getString("ItemName");
    temp.add(item);
    String model = rs.getString("Model");
    temp.add(model);

    String jobid = rs.getString("JobID");
    temp.add(jobid);
    String confirmid = rs.getString("OrderConfirmID");
    temp.add(confirmid);
    rowdata.add(temp);
    }catch (SQLException sqle)

    newmodel.setDataVector(rowdata, columNames);
    jScrollPane.repaint();
    Thread.sleep(1000);
    catch (InterruptedException e)
    okay = false;
    }

    hi there
    thank you for your reply
    doesn't the tablemodel keep one set of data? every time i refresh the table, the table model should only provide same data over and over unless it is reset again? in my program, the result seems like the table model is cumulating data every time it refreshes. and the display is growing with the same data. i already use the
    newmodel.setDataVector(rowdata, columNames);
    to reset the data. ideally the table should only display rowdata. some people say that just using table model will solve the refreshing task. i am not sure if they have my kind of problem.

  • Problem with refreshing JFrames and JDialogs

    My program is based on few JDialogs and one JFrame. I'm still changing them, one time one of the JDialogs is visible, other time JFrame. During this change I call dispose() for one window or frame and I create (if it wasn't created before) other component and call setVisible(true) for it. Problem is that sometimes (only sometimes! like 5% of calls) my windows appears but they are not refreshing (not showing new objects added to their lists or sth like that) until I resize my window by dragging mouse on the edge of it. Is there anyway to ensure that window will be displayed properly?

    I ran into this problem about a year ago...so I don't really remember but I think a call to validate(), or paint() or repaint() or something like that should do the trick (forgive me for not knowing the exact one but as I said it has been a while). Its been about that year since I stopped coding in java and moved to c#. You want the window to redraw its self what ever that is.

  • Problem with Huge .AVHD Snapshot, best way to merge and limit downtime.

    We have a production Web Server (VM) under windows 2008 R2. We just realise that we have a 450Go .AVHD and 400Go VHD file.
    We need to merge the .VHD/.AVHD, but from what i know, this will be a VERY LONG Downtime.
    We also have a Windows 2012 Host available. Should I copy (.VHD/.AVHD) files to the new host (2012), create a new VM and attache the (.VHD/.AVHD). Then i will be able to use Server 2012 Live Merge (without downtime) ?
    What would be the best solution ?
    Regards,
    Simon

    The Live Merge will only work if you Export the VM and then Import it OR copy the VM disks, plus configuration to the Hyper-V 2012 Server and Import it.
    The background / Live merge will only happen if Hyper-V knows this is a snapshot.  So copying that part of the configuration over is key.
    Simply copying the two virtual disks over will not achieve the same results.
    In this case your time is sunk into the process of Exporting / getting the VM from Server A to Server B.  If you can make that efficient, then you have it.
    And, you can always test this ahead of time.  So you know what you are getting yourself in to.
    Also, I seem to recall that 2008 R2 was he release that added the option to export a snapshot.  If so, this is another option.  Create a new snapshot, right click it, select export (again, your VM must be powered off for this with 2008 R2).
    The result is one flat VHD and no snapshots to merge.  Just import and power on.
    You can test if that option is there today with some empty VM.
