Problem with rendering RGB with alpha

I have AE 6.5. I suddenly began having .AVI's with alpha channel rendering with a flickering background with numerous flashing colors.
I did system restore, reinstalled 6.5 with no help.
No new programs, not hooked to internet, using 2 gigs RAM with AMD athalon FX 53,Nvidia GeForce FX 5500.
I tried several different projects which have previously worked and they do the same thing.
Rendering as Video for Windows with no compression. RGB + Alpha
Rendering with just RGB doesn't have the flickering, etc.
Preview set to "off" in comp window.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

> I have AE 6.5. I suddenly began having .AVI's with alpha channel rendering with a flickering background with numerous flashing colors.
But when you composite these lcips I'll bet the alpha content is not really there.
We used to have this problem with the Media 100 hardware codec when rendering form After Effects. The alpha channel was full of the creepiest stuff, frame buffers motion blur and effects from other compsand it was really there. Playing the clip back in Media 100 or in QT showed the alpha channel's bizarre content.
However, if you turned off RGB and viewed alpha only, the stuff was gone, absolutely transparent. If you dropped the clip into a timeline, the alpha behaved normally.
We never did figure it out, just lived with it.

  • Color problem with ProPhoto RGB color space

    Hi, everyone,
    I have wery special problem I think. I use MacBook pro 15" with retina display, adobe Photoshop CC and when I export RAW (from Nikon D7000) from Lightroom 5 to Photoshop with settings: 16 bit TIF, color space: ProPhoto RGB I have a problem with displaying the correct colors. As you can see in this picture:
    My problem are some "green" artefacts in absolutely black and white picture. I tried myself to solve this problem and found the following facts: when I convert picture into Adobe RGB or sRGB color space is everything OK - without green artefacts.
    But here is one important fact: I have calibrated monitor by datacolor spyder4elite and problem with ProPhoto RGB incorrect color displaying is only when the color calibration configuration is loaded. When I change my display calibration to standard apple color LCD profile than is everything OK.
    But using uncalibrated monitor and also Adobe RGB color space are no right solutions for me.
    My question is why I have problem with displaying ProPhoto RGB color space in photoshop under calibrated monitor profile and can anybody help me please?
    Thanks for answers.

    That's a classic example of the basic problem with 16 bit color. There is no solution that I know of.

  • Problem with rendered attribute in jhs 10.1.3.3

    We are currently trying to migrate our applications from jhs 10.1.3.2.52 to jhs 10.1.3.3.87 using jdeveloper 10.1.3.5. We are facing a problem with all the detail groups structured inside detail group regions - they have all disappear from the pages.
    In my example code i have two master-detail groups Products (Master) and ExpertiseAreas (Detail) on the same page:
    Products - Group
    -> ExpertiseAreasDtl - Detail Group Region
         -> ExpertiseAreas - Group (Samepage="true")
    The problem is that the detail group ExpertiseAreas is not rendered on the page.
    As i looked in through the pages generated by the 2 different releases of jhs using the same app definition, i can see the following:
    CODE GENERATED FOR THE ExpertiseAreasDtl Detail Group Region (all the vms used are the default):
    in jhs10.1.3.3.87:
    <af:panelGroup *rendered="#{(ProductsIterator.currentRow!=null and ProductsIterator.findMode!='true')}"* id="ProductsRegionsExpertiseAreasDtlPanelGroup">
    in *jhs 10.1.3.2. 52*:
    <af:panelGroup id="ProductsRegionsExpertiseAreasDtlPanelGroup">
    First of all a rendered attribute is being generated in the new version of jhs and not in the old.
    The real problem seems to be with the iterator binding generated from verticalRegionContainer.vm in the regular expression: "#{(ProductsIterator.currentRow!=null and ProductsIterator.findMode!='true')}". It should have been *bindings.*ProductsIterator and not plain ProductsIterator. Has anybody got any ideas on how to solve the problem?
    Thanks

    Giorgos,
    We have uploaded a new service update, 10.1.3.3.88, on the cso.oracle.com site. This should fix your issue.

  • Problem with rendering my project

    Hello,
    today I tried to render my latest project in Premiere Pro CS6 to upload it to youtube. With an estimated file size of  ~2 Gigabytes I started the rendering process and waited for it to finish (about 50 minutes).
    After it had finished with rendering I checked the file and what I saw was a 35 Megabytes file with the worst video quality one can even imagine. What is wrong with my premiere pro -.-
    I've put many time and effort in my project and now it doesn't render properly. The interesting thing is that the preview in the full resolution inside my premiere pro application looks way better than the rendering result. WTF!?
    Later I tried the option "render workspace" which took just about the same time (about 50 minutes) and brought me 7 rendered video previews... summed up 40 Gigabytes.
    I am like kinda mad and sad at the same time and really can't figure out what is wrong. Please help me.
    Here are my Output settings:
    H.264 codec
    1920 * 1080
    29,97 FPS
    high profile and 5.1
    Bitrate: I tried everything from 8 to 100 (output always about ~40 Megabytes)
    maximum depth
    and maximum render quality
    Please mention it if you need more information about this as I will be happy to provide detailed information and excuse my bad english, it isn't my mother tongue.

    Yeah, but as you could may imagine i watched the render result
    I could just go ahead and render it in 240p same result... Its way off in points of quality even compared to the preview on the top right
    I mean I am not using premiere pro for the first time and this is the first time that i have to encounter this kind of problem. maybe I should try to render some of my old projects to see if they too result in 45 Mb ****** videos.
    Someone help me

  • Problem with rerendering h:panelGrid with rendered attribute

    Hi,
    I am new to jsf and trying to learn its features as I find it easy and fast for development purpose.I have been developing with jsf for past few weeks and got myself stuck with a problem, tired of which I had to take the forum's help :). My problem is that I need to show/hide h:panelGrid using any of the options below:
    I tried putting the grid in the div and show/hide that div using javascript..works fine but the problem with this is, even when the div is hidden the components (h:inputText ) within the grid are submitted with the form, which should not be the case since its hidden (as with normal jsps).
    I worked around with rendered attribute of the grid, and show/hide this grid using the backing bean method which is actually a valueChangeListener of h:selectOneMenu and set the boolean for the rendered to true/false as required, the grid is hide/shown correctly, but this isn't giving me any solution because when I submit the form with this grid shown on the view, its components values are still not submitted :( I dont know whats the reason behind this or what clue am I missing here. I dont know why when the grid is shown correclty, its components values are not submitted.. hence not validated too..
    Any help will be highly appreciable.
    Regards
    srehman

    No, in "normal jsps" you'll get the same thing - even though you
    visibly hide a component, it is still there and thus will still be part
    of a form submit. If you don't want form fields to submit, you'll have
    to make sure they are physically not there, or the fields are disabled.Well thanks alot for correcting me on this mate.
    Don't know either, it should work if you did everything correctly. Are
    you sure the databinding (to a JSF backing bean field) of the grid is
    correct? When you create a similar setup but without any of the
    show/hide logic, does it work then?I guess I have done it correctly but let me tell you, I have no direct binding to the grid itself, instead I have h:inputText fields in the grid that are bound to the backing bean's properties, which I need to submit and validate too. e.g{color:#800000}<h:panelGrid id="myPanel" columns="3" rendered="Bean.renderStatus">
    <h:outputText value="variable"/>
    <h:inputText id="v" value="Bean.property" required="true">
    <a4j:support ......... />
    </h:inputText>
    </h:panelGrid>{color}
    {color:#800000}<rich:message for="v"/>{color}
    Here I am able to hide and show the grid but I am unable to submit the field in any case whether its hidden or shown :( At first the grid is hidden and then on the valueChangeListener of h:selectOneMenu rendered value is set to either true or false.( renderStatus is set in the value change listener ).
    And yeah without this logic of hide/show its working fine with me. Any guess or idea what am I doing wrong here.
    Thanks for your time by the way.

  • Problems with rendering quality in Premiere Elements 9

    Hello, I've made a few videos with PE 9 now, and I get very poor quality rendering despite trying several different settings. I saw on a help thread earlier that I needed to try changing to HD when creating the new file from the beginning. I did that, but it only made my PE 9 run more slowly, and the rendering quality was not improved. I also read somewhere that using .MOV files as a source can cause problems with rendering; is that true? I hope not! I use a Lumix bridge camera for my videos, and the video quality is very good. And when I'm working with these videos within PE 9 the quality is great. It's only when exporting to various file types that the quality suddenly becomes poor. For the most part I have made compilation videos of gymnasts, and when their legs move they are often so lined or pixelated that they become invisible. Here is an example of a short gym video I made yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0s7tUBcSZk. The last girl jumping gives the best example of this invisible leg problem.
    You can see the original source films here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmUMi9oN8dQ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEzcJZjhxiI
    and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I53twqPQMV4
    The sequences I took in my compilation video start at about 20 seconds in the source videos.
    Youtube does reduce the quality of the videos slightly, but in any case you can definitely see a difference in quality between the source videos and the PE 9 rendered compilation video.
    I'm quite disappointed because I made a longer compilation video set to music (which was a lot of work), and it looks so much nicer on PE 9 than on any of the rendered formats, but of course I can't share the PE 9 version!
    Thanks very much for your help.
    Chleste

    Thanks Steve. I'm not sure what resolution I'm shooting in, actually. However, the thing is that when I make these compilations, I like to go back to source videos I've made in the past sometimes. Sometimes these videos come from a Canon camera, and sometimes they even come from my Samsung mobile telephone. I like being able to creatively combine historic moments, and these moments might have been recorded without any intention at the time of making a compilation video. Is it not possible to combine several kinds of video sources?
    I'm uploading an example of a compilation with mixed source videos from various kinds of cameras. It's 710 Megs so it will take a while, but when it's finished you will be able to see it at http://youtu.be/CslpULRe4LU.
    I opened up the file for the compilation of the four girls on the beam (video posted in original message), and I do indeed see those red lines in the timeline. Is there anything I can do now about that, or do I have to start the project all over?
    I'm confused about the processor requirements. Even if I can see my video perfectly in PE 9, the actual export process will be affected if my system is not up to par? If so, that's a bit disappointing! I'm not sure what my processor details are, but I will find out and let you know.
    Many thanks.

  • Problem while rendering report generated with iText API

    Hi!

  • Adf application not rendered correctly with url ip and url localhost.

    Hi all.
    I have a strange problem. When I enter to my adf application deployed in a local stand alone weblogic server with the ip:
    http://localhost:7001/Application/faces/index
    it renders fine. But when I load it with the url:
    http://10.5.14.15:7001/Application/faces/index (private ip), it doesn´t render fine. Tables haven´t the same style, and some elements appear selected like if I have selected them with the mouse.
    This problem only happens with internet explorer, not with Chrome.
    Also when I see a table inside a region in a jspx, the with of the header of the columns is not rendered correctly, causing the width of the header row not be the same than the other rows.
    This problem also happens only with internet explorer.
    Any help please?
    Internet Explorer 8. JDeveloper 11g.2. Weblogic 10.3.5.0
    Also happens with Internet Explorer.
    Maybe encoding? doctype?
    Thanks

    What would the DOCTYPE have to do with the IP address?
    Have you looked at the HTML source in the different browsers and tried to debug what's wrong? Sounds like there may be some images/css files that aren't being downloaded in IE when you use that IP address. Are you sure IE isn't configured with a proxy?

  • Problem with Datagrid itemrenderer with a Datagrid

    Hi all,
    I have this kind of a structure. I try to use a datagrid item renderer in a data grid column. However when I try to move rows inside the same datagrid I experience a problem. When my datagrid loads first it seems correct, but when I drag and drop a row in the same datagrid inner datagrids start to be drew in wrong rows. I checked the DB but there are no mistakes in DB records. Problem is with rendering. I suppose inner datagrids trying to draw to early or datagrid component is trying to reuse the itemrenderer. I could not find any solutions for that. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

  • Soft Proofing with Adobe RGB

    I am experimenting with soft proofing various sunset images.  The problem I'm seeing when I soft proof the images in Photoshop using the Adobe RGB profile is that the oranges and magentas in the sunset turn yellowish. Can someone please explain why this is happening.  I admit that some of these images are coming from the internet and have no embedded profile. I have always thought that the Adobe RGB profile had a larger color space so I'm not sure why I'm getting the obvious changes in the sunset colors when switching between sRGB and Adobe RGB.

    With a standard monitor everything you see on screen is already soft proofed to sRGB. That's all it can reproduce. So soft proofing to Adobe RGB makes no sense. It's beyond the monitor's capabilities.
    Even if you have a wide gamut monitor soft proofing to Adobe RGB makes no sense. You'd need a monitor that reproduced considerably more than Adobe RGB (which doesn't exist), and a file in an even larger space such as ProPhoto.
    If you see a difference, you have "Preserve RGB numbers" checked in Proof Setup (which you normally shouldn't). This is the proof equivalent of Assign Profile - IOW how it will look if you assign Adobe RGB as opposed to Convert to Profile, which is what you normally do and which will preserve color appearance.
    The other possible explanation is a rather evasive bug in Photoshop, reported from time to time. Sometimes people see a color shift when converting to the very same profile as the file already is. I can't reproduce that, so I can't give any more details.

  • Display problems in Mail messages with image attachment

    Issue: Seeing intermittent display problems in Mail messages with image attachments
    Annoyance level: minor, but Apple techs need to pass it along
    Details: Regardless of mail client sending to iPhone (Outlook, OWA, Yahoo, Gmail) there are intermittent and what appear to be random occurrances of the pic being half rendered and/or the pic never loading (followed by message saying it can't be retrieved from server). In some instances the picture then appears fully rendered without a problem. Note: Image sizes varied from 14KB to 450KB

    Hi,
    I'm not familiar with C#, but if possible try the following:
    1. Removing all thead and tbody tags from the body of the message.
    2. Changing all inline CSS to embedded CSS.
    I've seen a user said the message stopped showing up after making the changes.
    If the issue persists, please note, since Outlook 2007, Outlook opens the HTML Email and converts it to Microsoft Word format before displaying it to the user. What happens during this process is that many CSS attributes and HTML support is completely removed.
    Some of the most notable absences are background-image, and padding and margin support. Hardly can we do much about this, so the message "If there are problems with how this email is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser" is actually
    a good workaround when we face this problem.

  • FCE Issues With Rendering

    Problems With Final Cut Express or is it Quicktime
    6/11/2006
    This document describes the problems I had with rendering movies in Final Cut Express. The version of FCE is 2.03 but the problem doesn’t seem to be restricted to this software.
    Since I have done a fair amount of testing let me describe the two systems I have been using for testing.
    System-1 (Original)
    Dual 1 GHz PowerPC G4
    2 MB L3 Cache
    1.5 MB SDRAM
    Panther 10.3.9
    QT 6.5.1 (All other system updates applied but not QT)
    System-2 (Borrowed)
    Dual 2 GHz Powerpc G5
    3 GB DDR SDRAM
    Tiger 10.4.6
    QT 7.0.0 (All other system updates applied but not QT)
    What is it that I have been doing? I have a Replay TV box which I occasionally download video’s from and then edit out commercials and put on DVD. The following process is used.
    I download the video’s as MPEG2 files from the Replay using DVArchive 3.1. I then run the saved file through either DropDV or Streamclip 1.7 and convert to DV. The resulting files have the video and audio split.
    I load these files into FCE and do an immediate render. Unfortunately I never paid much attention to the render time before. I just started them and walked away. More on this in a minute.
    When the render is done I edit out the commercials and export the video to a self contained QT file. I then use IDVD to burn a DVD when I have enough video’s completed.
    In the cases here I am using 30 minute shows.
    System-1 has been running Panther and at some point I found I could no longer render videos without getting a Malloc Error when trying to save the files after they were supposedly rendered. After rendering the render line did not change to gray so my assumption was they never rendered at all. When starting the rendering the program said the render would take approximately 29 minutes. About half way through the process the progress bar would accelerate so the total time to render usually became 4 minutes.
    After trying several things I decided to go back and start fresh. I installed Panther on a different drive as a clean install and let software update give me all the updates. That did not fix a thing. After trying numerous things I borrowed another system. It had a clean install of Tiger with all the updates. Same issue.
    I went back to System-1 and did another clean install but this time I did Panther. I had been reading responses on Apple’s forums and even though my exact problem was not listed the common thread seemed to be Quicktime.
    I let the Panther update install everything except the QT updates. Now a 30 minute render took 4 minutes and worked flawlessly.
    Using this knowledge I did a new clean install of Tiger on System-2. I did all the updates except QT. The system as installed ended up with QT 7.0.0.
    Using the very same movie I tried the render in FCE. This time it worked but the time to render was 29 minutes. Interesting since System-2 is a G5 with 3 GB of RAM.
    I am reluctant to go back to System-1 and let it install only QT 7.0.0 as it will only succeed in making my render times much longer. Letting it go past 7.0.0 just breaks it altogether.
    Apple has put up at least two fixes for QT 7, but neither one solves my issue and I expect after reading all the forum complaints doesn’t solve anyone else’s issues either.
    I had a tough time trying to resolve this as I was using 3 different programs and felt anyone could be causing the problem. As it stands it appears it’s Apple. DVArchive, Streamclip and DropDV do their thing and it appears they do it right.
    As a final test I loaded Streamclip and DVArchive on the G5. I used DVArchive to download a video, this time using a full hour. I put that file through Streamclip and then into FCE. The result was a render time of an hour (56 minutes in reality) so the problem is in QT.
    My final test was to let QT update on the G5 and after that happened I’m back to no rendering at all and getting Malloc Errors.
    Thanks for listening.

    The Malloc error seems to be a ram error but I have checked and checked and checked.
    The issue is I cannot render at all if I run any version of QT above 7.0.0 and that includes under Tiger.
    The other issue is render times went from 4 minutes after editing to 29 minutes on a 30 minute show.
    If I try to render a file in FCE it starts by telling me that it will take 29 minutes. About half way through the render it accelerate and finishes in 1 or two minutes. But it isn't rendered. The red line never goes away. If you look at the original post I have gotten it down to the version of QT that gets installed or updated. With Tiger and the basic install version right off the DVD the render works but takes 29 minutes. Allowing Software Update to go any higher with QT completely breaks the render process.
    I had a friend of mine try the same thing and he gets the same results.
