Problem with repeating songs

When i am playing the music in a playlist on my iPhone, it constantly loops to keep repeating the same song rather than the next song on the list. Does anyone know if there is a setting i can to change to stop this happening please?

Actually after i posted this question, the laptop came up with a similar question and answer.

Try Deauthorize your account and then Authorize the account to see if any changes occur. Also there may a resolution in the second article that can be helpful as well.

Problems with some songs in iTunes (and my iPod)

Hi,
I do not know whether this is the right category for my problem, but I did not find a suitable one.
I have problems with some songs in iTunes. They do not sound right. It is hard to me to describe my problem in English (thanks to apple's "great" support...I was not able to contact them personally except by phone). The songs "hang", they sound like someone reels (?) it. The problem does not only appear with iTunes but also with my iPod nano first generation.
My godmother brang me CDs where that problems appear (but not the whole CDs have that problem, only a few songs) from the USA - I live in Germany. Maybe that is cause of the error. But I cannot imagine that, because CDs there and here have the same format and I have several CDs from the US where is no problem at all. I am absolutely sure that the CDs are originals and not a copy, by the way.
Maybe you can help me, it would be great!

Yes, I thought that's what Restore should do, but the problems remain. Hmmm, the out of order 'album's' songlist is notated 1 of 8, 2 of 8, 3 of 8... I'll try 01, 02...
Probably a good idea.
The other album is running through the list of songs like fast-forward, but not playing the songs. Then, iPod locks up.
Do these same tracks play okay in iTunes? What is the original source for these tracks? Were they downloads from the iTunes Store or imported from outside of iTunes? What format are they encoded in and at what bitrate?

Problems with playing songs in iTunes

as the subject says. I have som problems with playing songs. not everyone just a some..
If we take for example that a song is 8min. then at 1.40 it just stops and goes to the next one. I can jump over it with pressing in the middle for example. it plays. as normal. UNTIL. 3 mins. then the same problems appear. I don't really understand how. just between 1.40-1.50 iTunes thinks that the song is finished. I know my english isn't so good but cuz there is no swedish support. I have to write here. any answers would be good

I'm having a similar problem.
Every now and then, a track from a ripped CD or from iTunes or from eMusic will "look" OK in iTunes (or on my iPod), but when the track plays, it gets partially through and it jumps to the next track in the playlist.
For example, if playback of track 1 pauses and jumps to track 2 at 1:30 into playback of track 1, & I click on 1:31 or later in track 1, the rest of track 1 will play fine. But if the playback of track 1 starts at the before the "skip point," the track will stop & iTunes (or iPod) goes on to the next track in the playlist. If I locate the file (on my external drive) and play it in the finder, there's always buzzing sound at the point where the iTunes jumps to the next track.
For ripped CD's this is not a huge deal, I just re-rip & usually all is well. With eMusic, I can download again, but with iTunes, I have to file a complaint & so far they've just credited my account, which is OK, but time consuming.
At first I thought the problem was with my optical drive, but then the problem started happening with downloads from iTunes and eMusic as well. NONE of these shenanigans happened before I upgraded to iTunes 7.6, so I'm wondering if that's where the problem is. One thing's for sure: I'm not going to "jump" at the next upgrade of iTunes!
I'm totally stumped & bummed. iTunes used to be a really good friend, now I find myself wondering if I should bother with putting my entire CD collection on iTunes if it's no longer as reliable as it used to be.

Problem with certain songs and ipod corrupting itself

my 4g ipod has some serious problems with some songs, almost exclusively by bands with "S" names (something corporate, saves the day, and snow patrol off the top of my head - and I doubt it matters anyways). It will either play the first few seconds of the song or won't play it at all before it skips to the next track. I've tried converting the offending tracks/cd's to AAC with little success. While the song is trying to play the hard drive is clicking/vibrating/working at a rapid pace. I know this isn't a good thing at all, and there probably isn't a way to fix it, but if someone can fill me in with any info, it would be appreciated, as it's starting to happen to more and more songs.
Also, it corrupts itself about once a week and I have to restore and reload all my songs. This isn't a huge issue because I don't keep anything exclusively on the ipod but it is annoying.
Any advice, insight, or pity is appreciated.

Problems with Repeating Events on Palm and iCal

I'm having a problem with daily-repeating events entered into either my Palm or iCal. When I put events in my palm and sync them to iCal, the iCal calendars look right, but then the Palm events become truncated,i.e. only the first day of daily event will be visible. If I do nothing but just sync again, the events in iCal become weirdly duplicated, i.e. if an event had two repeats, the "original" occurrance will be there, along with a second, starting on next day of the series, lasting for the same number of repeats. Is there any way to make one calendar the overwriting calendar while using iSync? Or do you know of some other fix? This problem doesn't seem to affect other repeating events, either monthly or yearly.

While this article— iSync: About Syncing Recurrent Events Between iCal and Palm OS Based Devices—would lead to you believe that iSync is primarily the issue, it's not: this behavior occurs primarily because of the differences between the calendaring programs in each environment, and only secondarily because of the manner in which records are pushed and pulled by the synchronization framework.
iSync itself is simply another compliant sync client, and there is unfortunately no workaround for the issues delineated in the article.

I recently posted here as I had problems with my new Lenovo Flex 2-15 (Intel Core i5-4210U, 8GB RAM) when browsing pretty much ever since I bought it: Link to old thread.
Switching my DNS to Google's open DNS made me think the problem was solved but here I am again. Images started to load incompletely (some don't show up, missing parts in others etc) again, songs on Hypem only load the first two or three seconds instead of the whole song etc. Fortunately, I'm still able to access GMail though it's getting harder and sometimes needs various re-loads. After a bit of googleing I used CCleaner to get rid off index.dat - browsing was working again but only for a short while as for example, GMail is not loading.
Considering the first post and the first and second temporary relief, do you have any idea of how to get back to proper browsing?

Problems with 1 song

Hi
I'm new to this forum and wondered if anyone could help?
There's 1 song (that I know of!) that just won't play on my iPod classic despite syncing.
It plays perfect on my laptop through iTunes and although the track and artwork appears on my iPod, it skips and won't play.
I purchased the song in question and this problem is driving me mad!!

I'm having the same problem only the song I have was not purchased from itunes but from a cd. I have already tried deleting the song from both ipod and itunes, then uploading again but that does not seem to work. They song plays well on itunes all the way through but when played on the ipod, it will play for about maybe eight seconds before switching over to another song. I have tried pretty much everything yet nothing seems to work. And the odd thing is, the same exact song used to play on my ipod mini when I had it with no problem.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You don't say what you are doing or trying to do. See #5 below.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Well I've been having this problem with all my songs in the ipod section of my iphone for a few weeks now, ever since I bought the new iphone. There's a very subtle popping or crackle noise in between almost every song when I change or skip through tracks and I can't seem to fix this problem.. or maybe it's a problem all iphones share? I bought my first iphone, it seemed to have that problem, then I exchanged it for my second iphone which I received last night... and it still has the problem! I've seen similar problems on other mp3 players like the ipod shuffle.. I'm not very good at explaining the problem I'm encountering so please take a look at this other forum, the problem discussed in it is the same problem I have, only with iphone instead of ipod shuffle:

Problems with downloaded songs

I just downloaded some songs off of iTunes music store a few days ago, and put them on my ipod mini, but it will not play them, i'm guessing because they are mpeg4 protected files. Can anyone help me figure out how to make my ipod be able to listen to the songs?

What's the standard issue resolution routine? Sorry, but you kind of confused me. There's no problem with the iPod, and yes, it is just those songs. I don't know if it is supposed to be this way, but my iPod has only been able to read mp3 files, it can't read audio files directly from a cd, and evidently it can't read mpeg4 files.

Problems with corrupted songs from the iTunes store

Hi there.
I am having problems with some of my purchases from the iTunes store. There are 8 songs from my last 50 purchases or so, that will not download properly. I get error message 100008, saying the file seems to be corrupted and that I should thus try to check my purchase history and re-download. I've tried that many times, but to no avail. I have also tried to deauthorize my computer and then reauthorizing it. Still nothing happens.
Any help would be welcome.

Problems with itunes songs to import to CD

I am having problems with my iTunes songs. I want to import my songs that I brought (downloaded) to a cd, but I'm having a problem doing that. It started downloading maybe 1-3 songs then a message pops up saying "Downloading Error--Access denied" and my cd pops out. This has been happening once and a while. Last time I had no problems when I saved my songs to back up. Now that I have a lot of new songs, I want to save them incase something happens. I can't figure out why this is happening. Does anyone know what is going on with my iTunes songs?

If I understand you correctly that you're trying to burn a CD from iTunes, you might want to repost in the Importing and Burning in iTunes forum. Your issue may be more likely to be seen by someone with insight into this issue there.
When you repost, be sure to include details such as your version of iTunes, how you're burning the disk (using the iTunes backup feature or via some other method), what brand and type of CD you're using and whether that brand and type has worked for you in the past, etc. You also probably want to make it clear that you're burning to CD; "import" to most people will mean that you're trying to get tracks into iTunes from a CD.

Problem with one song not matching (Led Zeppelin)

I own all the Led Zeppelin studio albums, which are all available in the iTunes store. Every song on these albums was matched, except Tangerine on the Led Zeppelin III album. Anyone else have this happen? It's just strange that it would happen with one song. I've seen a lot of people mention She Came In Through the Bathroom Window on the Beatles' Abbey Road album, and that one happened for me too. I don't get it! This is just strange.

The song that won't sync is probably unchecked. You can check/uncheck all displayed songs using ctrl-click on a checkbox, or if you want to find it then you can use some smart playlists. Create a smart playlist with the rule *Playlist is Music* and the option *Match only checked tracks* and call this playlist Checked. Now create a smart playlist matching all the rules *Playlist is Music* and *Playlist is not Checked* (if necessary clear the option to match checked tracks) and call this playlist Unchecked. All unchecked tracks will be here.
If that doesn't solve things then the other possibility that comes to mind is that you've created two library entries for the same physical file. In this case only one file is placed on the device during syncing. One way to narrow down the search for these entries is to hold down the shift key and then select *File... Display Exact Duplicates*. iTunes will display files with matching details, one pair of which could be the culprit. For each pair examine the Get Info. Summary tab to see if both have the same location. If so, delete one entry while not letting iTunes delete the underlying file so the other can remain connected.

Latest iTunes update problems with repeated error messages every 65 seconds??

After this mornings' update of iTunes. Problems with Applemobiledeviceservices.exe. Error message every 65 seconds - software exception (oxc06d007e) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812fd3.
How do I stop this?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
