HT5312 I have problem with my ID security questions
I cant remember them and I can't find the way to reset them ??
I have the Alternate Email Addresses and I have the Password but i need to the answers the verify my account to purchase game & app from appstoreThe reset link, as described in steps 1 to 5 half-way down the page that you posted from, will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - an alternate email address is a different setting/address on an account.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use those steps on the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use -

I initially created my apple account years ago. I am trying to reset my security questions because my answers are continually incorrect. I pressed the link that sends reset security questions info to my alt. address, but I have not received the email with instructions. I have resent the email several times and checked both of the emails I have set up with my apple account to no avail. I have tried everything that is provided in the support article about the issue and my problem has not be resolved. I've even deleted my alt email from the apple account and then reassigned it and tried again, however, I still have not received the email. Without knowing the answers to my security questions, I cannot purchase anything from the iTunes store, which I have been trying to do.
I do not know what the problem is and I am asking for any resolutions. Please and thank you!Go to the Apple ID Security site from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 or call the AppleCare support number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask to speak with the Account Security Team...either can help you reset your questions/answers.

Here is my problem:
Need to change my email with the one that currently I'm using for rescue
Planed to change first the rescue email with a new one.
But:
I Forgot the security questions
Followed the reset security questions instructions.
Got the email on the rescue address but The link I've got on my rescue email to reset my security questions is invalid. By now the 3 hour window for the validity of the link is gone.
If I go via Apple ID, I login successfully but when I select Security I'm thrown back into Manage your Apple ID screen that displays now as well this message "An unknown error has occurred"
Tried several times, the same again and again.
On top of the long hours on the forums I spent 20 minutes over the phone with the US support on international charge, eventually I hanged up while waiting too long for the 3 rd expert but got an email later on indicating to clear my browser history and try again, which didn't work. Case number 519598448. Used my laptop with IE and my iPad, same result. This problem now appears for me too.
When using iforgot.apple.com email-verification clicking the reset link results in the "Invalid Link" error.
The error, that caused me to do this (password failing to verify against iCloud) has vanished since though. -

I am trying to reset the Security Questions as I have forgotten them, when I have logged into My Apple Id, and click on the button to reset the Security Questions, it states it is sending an email to the Primary Email address. I do not have the option to input a Rescue Email address, the only option I have is to input an Alternate Email address, which I have done so.
Also when I have tried to book an appointment throuth Online Support, I have not successful, I have rung a telephone number provided by the Mac Store in Perth, Australia and the reply provided is that we are closed. I was given to understand that Apple provided 24/7 Support to their users.Hot N Spicy wrote:

I have problem with iTunes story (secure link to itunes store failed). I make In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in netsh winsock reset the itune story is solve but after i close itunes the problem is back
The results show that you have a proxy server set and this can often cause problems with iTunes.
The proxy setting can be accessed in Internet options>>Connections>>LAN Settings.
Try un-checking the proxy server check box.
It might also be a good idea to run a malware check if you didn't know you had the proxy server set.
You can download a free version of an excellent scanner- Malwarebytes here:

Does anyone know how to rest their security questions because I have forgotten mine!
How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'.
This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best. -

i have a problem , i want to reset my security questions but i dont get the email to reset them what can i do?
If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset them. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

When I try to reset my security questions with email, the email doesn't send.
This has happened every time I have tried to reset them for the past year or so. I don't recall ever setting them so I don't know how they were answered in the first place.
yes - call apple account security and just tell them you need to reset your security questions - it will go like this - they need to get 2 things to match - credit card info, device info (serial number or a device code they send to a registered device, or just get one of the existing security questions right. That's one step - next step is teh temporary support PIN - since you can log into the account you can generate one OK - all this needs to be done over the phone with apple care account security unit. If successful, they will reset your account so you can pick new security questions and also edit the rescue e-mail addy - either delete it or put in one that works.
Best of luck - trust me I have been through this same situation -
I need to reset my security questions and answers. But nit is saying my birthday for a verification is invaid. How can I reset all of this?
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
