Problem with restoring iphone

so i have had this phone for almost two months. finally decided to get on itunes and get everythign connected. i get the iphone in sync and all is good. i downloaded my adiobooks. i notice that my iphone could use the latest updates. so i click on it and it starts well after an hr almost two hrs it was not done and my computer seemed to be frozen up so i disconnect and turn everything off. get it back on hooked up and when the iphone goes to sync with the itunes store it says my iphone is in recovery mode or something. my iphone won't do anything , just has a pic of the usb going to the itunes store on it. so i click on restore on the itunes site. it goes through it's thing and then i get an error at the end of it. I tried all the trouble shooting suggestions and keep getting the error message but the errore message #'s keep changing. It has been 3 hrs of messing with this thing and I give up. My iphone can't be used as it is now. It will not do anything. I tried to restart it as suggested and get nothing. ANy suggestions on what to do? Thanks,

Ajhoffa,
I would be beneficial to state what error message you are getting.
Aside from "my computer seemed to be frozen up", you said that you actually get a message. What messages are you getting?

You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

  • Problems with my iPhone 3g remains in spite of 2.0.2 would a restore help??

Hey I have several problems with my iPhone, all of which i would have thought would dissappear as Apple updated the firmware, but it hasn´t so far.
My problems are that the keyboard is lagging every fifth time that I use it, the letters appear about 1 second after i pressed the key on the keyboard. It happens when I am writing SMS as well as E-mails.
The contacts app takes about 4 seconds to start, and when I am scrolling it is lagging quite a bit.
When I listen to music it suddenly stops, even if I haven´t touched it, then I have to press play to get it to start again. If it use the volume buttons to turn the sound up or down it also sometimes stops the music. When i recieve calls, mails or messages the music fades down, but afterwards it doesn´t start again. It only starts when I "wake up" the phone and unlock it.
Last but not least the 3g signal is really not that stable and often turns back to edge.
I have read lots of posts where people talk about how the newer firmware updates have resolved most of their problems, but I haven´t experienced any changes after I have updated. It almost seems like it doesn´t really "notice" the new firmware.
I have been thinking about doing a restore, but if I use the latest back-up it would most likely have the same issues as now right?
If I do a complete restore and delete everything I will have to spend a lot of time getting all the content back on the phone and I don´t know if it will help at all.
My question is if anyone here have the same problems as me, if they don´t notice any differences after updating the firmware as well?
On top of that I would like to know if anyone here have experienced any positive effects of doing a full restore? Has it helped resolving any of your problems?
    Thanx a lot

On 2.0.2 with a full restore. Still experiencing all of the issues you mention except the iPod related stuff.
I am really losing patience with apple and their silence about all of these problems.
Not sure how much longer I am willing to put up with it before i send it back.

Try a new SIM from your carrier.  If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.

i had a problem with my iphone and had to restore and now i have lost all music from itunes any way to get it back ?

It should ne in itunes on your computer and included in your regular backup of your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to backup your music, then - in the U.S only - you can get previous itunes purchases from the beta version of icloud.  Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

  • TS3694 "There is a problem with your iPhone." (Restoring/Recovery issues)

So, the other day, I got my iPhone 4 wet (idiot, I know!).  After drying it out in a bowl of rice for 24 hours, it seemed to start up just fine and when connected to iTunes, it prompted me to do a full restore to factory settings. I did just that, and after the restore software downloaded and seemed to install onto the iPhone, it began going through the setup process.  It let me go through a few screens of setup (language, country, location services etc., before showing the connect to iTunes screen). Then iTunes displayed this message:
"There is a problem with your iPhone. Please visit the Service Answer Center to find answers to all your questions about service options, warranty and other      processes in your country. To find your nearest Apple Store, click here."
There are no other options given on neither the phone nor iTunes.
I am out of warranty, have called Apple about replacement options, and was also advised to continue trying to restore.  After 3 or 4 times trying to restore, with the same message, I am asking if anyone knows any other tricks before I go and fork out $169.99 for a replacement phone.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hii mikeszalay,
I have exactly same issue, and my screen can show language and country after I restored for like 7 times.
    My itunes is showing
"There is a problem with your iPhone. Please visit the Service Answer Center to find answers to all your questions about service options, warranty and other processes in your country. To find your nearest Apple Store, click here."
What did you do after this problem? did you successfully fix the phone? Cause I dont know what to do now, and my phone is also out of warranty : (( It will be a really great help if you could share experience!!
    Thank you so much!!!

If you have a beta copy of iOS6
    1. You are a developer and will know how to transition from beta
to release version and to use the Develpoer forum
    2. You have a pirate copy of the beta and no-one on this Apple hosted Forum can help you

Yes. Talk to whoever replaced the battery. Sounds like they broke something.

  • There is a problem with your iphone after restore

there is a problem with your iphone message on itunes after phone restore

One thing you could do is to go into a dfu mode and restore your phone again
This is how u enter into dfu mode
Plug your device into your computer.
    Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode

  • Hi, im having problems with my iphone it would always be showing up "No Service" even when I get my simcard out, when i turn airplane mode it would switch to " Searching" and then go back to "No Service", i have tried restoring several times, but nothing

Hi, im having problems with my iphone it would always be showing up "No Service" even when I get my simcard out, when i turn airplane mode it would switch to " Searching" and then go back to "No Service", i have tried restoring several times, but nothing has changed. I must say that my iphone was working perfectly until the last months my battery began to die all from a sudden, so my phone got turn off really frequently, so then i ordered a battery and changed it myself so when phone was on.. it had this problem..    im desperate here

No I haven´t take it to Apple Store, i think I will actually. My iphone was jailbroken and ulocked with gevey sim, but when this failures began i decided to restore it, and I did preserve the baseband, but when I took it into one of these "Places" they told me it would be a good idea to do a clean restore and see if this fixed the problem so I upgraded my baseband, and right now my iphone is freshly restore, no jailbreak no nothing.
Btw yes something like a year ago my screen was replaces by others not by apple, but I didnt had any issues after this.. until today (a little more than a year later).
