Problem with RHALEINI - SAP HR Distribution

Dear All;
we are using program RHALEINI to distribute the Employee data from HR System to our EBP System. Some times we have some employee missed out or approver data missing.
Any pointers to how and where the program picks up approver data and why some employees are being left out while distribution would be greatly appreciated.

One of the reasons for employee missing out might be that, those personnel number might be locked with some other user ids , even we were facing this problem .

Problems with the sap* password

Hi,
i have a problem with the sap* password.
I tried my masterpassword but it did not work.
So i tired the following from the Tread: Password problem with user DDIC
resetting password for sap*
sqlplus "/as sysdba"
sql> update sapsr3.usr02 set bname='SAP1' where bname='SAP' and MANDT=000;
sql> commit;
Bud it did not work. After i tried to delete the sap*1 from the table sapsr3.usr02 but it did not work.
sql>delete from sapsr3.usr02 where mandt='000' and bname = 'SAP*1';
I also restarted the instance after the commands. But i can not logon with 'sap*' and the password 'pass' .
Mybe someone can help me?

Starting with release 7.00 based system you have to set
login/no_automatic_user_sapstart=0
in your instance profile and restart the instance.

Space problems with the SAP Database MS SQL 2000

Hi,
Actually, I have a size problem with the database, I have MS SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack4 on a Windows 2003 Server environment that is my DataBase Server of my ERP ECC 6.0. On the other hand I have a storage where I have 229 Gb of free space used only for the database files of the SAP data and the SAP log file.
But when I check the DB space allocation on trx. DB02 I saw this:
3 Database files and 1 transaction log:
The 3 database files are: PRDDATA1 (size 15,313 MB used 15016 MB) , PRDDATA2 (size 14106 MB used 13984 MB), PRDDATA3 (size 14472 MB used 14352 MB) and the log file is PRDLOG1 ( size 1000 MB) all of them with no limit option and growth by 10%.
So I went to the SQL Enterprise Manager and I saw that my Database PRD properties and I got this information:
My database size is 44892.48 Mb size with only 1330.36 Mb of free space and that is alarming.
So the question here is how ,if I have a storage where the sap data is storing with 229 Gb of free space, can I make the database files grow up in order to use all the available space of my storage.
Can you help me please because it is critical being my productive system?

Problem with Role and User Distribution to the SAP System

Hi to all.
I've a problem when i try to transfer roles from portal to SAP CRM. (System Administration --> Permissions --> SAP Authorizations).
If I select from the drop down list the SAP Alias corresponding to the connector to the target system an error is displayed:
class com.sapportals.connector.connection.ConnectionFailedExceptionConnection Failed: Nested Exception. Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin.
I think the problem is in the connector configuration since the connector test fails too (due to User attribution problems I think)

Problem with expired SAP licenses

Greetings,
I have a fresh installation of a SAP 620 on NT with Oracle Database (clustered environment). I successfully did a client copy from the old system to the new system but on the new system I get the following errors:
1. Logon refused (LICENSES has EXPIRED)
2. When attempting to install new licenses, I get this message:
Error: Connect to database failed
Details: SBSlConnect failed with return code 99
SQL-ERROR: 1017
The Oracle database seems to be Ok. DB is up and running.
Has anyone had this problem? If so, please help...

did you figure out the issue. We get the same error when testing our license. The database is up and running. we know the temp license expired and we are trying to install the real license.... It will not let us extend the temp license again.

Problem with local SAP name inside ABAP webservice

Hi all,
I've created a simple webservice in our SAP development machine, with the normal steps (create RFC, then generated the webservice inside SE38, then activated webservice in SOAMANAGER).
The problem is that when I call the webservice from outside (external .NET program) I get the following error:
There was no endpoint listening at http://srv.devm2.local:8004/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/zwebservice1/060/zwebservice1/zwebservice1 that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
I believe this problem is related somehow with the internal srv.devm2.local SAP name that is unknown from outside.
If I open the WSDL definition, in the end I can find this internal srv.devm2.local reference of our SAP DEV server:

I meant changing it in the calling application (external .NET). Can you not download the wsdl to your pc and change it there manually and then use this local wsdl in your external application to call the webservice ?
It is just to see if the sap name is the problem. If that is the problem then it should work if you replace the name with the IP address.
If this works then maybe basis need to adjust some settings (firewall ?, access authorizations ?)
Also are you sure the service is activated in SOAMANAGER ? Sometimes when you save it stays inactive and it does not give you a clear error message, easy to overlook.
And try to call the webservice with SOAPUI and the wsdl from soamanager. Does that work ? When I test with SOAPUI I always use the http port and don't forget to fill in user and password.
If soapui call works, then the problem is with the external .NET application.

Problem with starting SAP Database ..

I have a issue with starting the DB. the detailed log is attached below.
When I had a Performance issue, I had tried to stop the SAP instance and the DB.
But thats not stopped. So I have restarted the OS.
After restarting the OS the DB is not comming up.
Its throwing the following log

Problem with option: enable this distribution point for prestaged content

Hi, for past few days I have been focused on application deployment with SCCM 2012 R2 (I am learning SCCM 2012 R2 reading books, watching video trainings . . .). Having followed allong book Mastering System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager I also did
deployment of Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Reader 11, Foxit Reader 4.2 and Notepad ++ to test collection containing one Windows 7 computer. In one of examples prestaged content file is created for Foxit Reader application. In order to do so, if I am
right, option Enable this distribution point for prestaged content
has to be checked on distribution point and I did that.
Problem is that I noticed deployment of any application to test collection failed every time - system waits for prestaged content file if this option is selected. Then I have to delete deployment of given application, application itself, deselect option
Enable this distribution point for prestaged content and create app, distribute it to DP and deploy to test collection - then everything works well.
To make things worse, having deselect option Enable this distribution point for prestaged content (I did it yesterday and I checked that several times) this morning I checked again and this option is selected again. What might be the cause
of this behaviour? I expected this option to be deselected - this is weird to say at least.

When you enable the option "Enable this distribution
point for prestaged content" on a DP, it causes newly created applications/packages to default to "Manually copy the content in this package to the distribution point"... This would then cause the deployments on the clients to remain
at 'waiting for content' - unless if you manually prestage the content, as this option requires it.
If you enable the option "Enable this distribution
point for prestaged content" on the DP, but want to automatically have CM distribute the content, then configure the app/package to do so,
before distributing the content: Distribution Settings tab > Prestaged distribution point settings > Automatically download content when packages are assign to distribution points.

Problem with lotus sap connector

we r using one bapi which generates one doc No for us.
we save that number in form.
now when we call other BAPI with same docnumber which we got previously.
BAPI is giving ERROR MEssage That no data record with this doc number exist.
if we check same from SAP Logon. IT Founds record.
We r using IBM Lotus SAP Connector.

If i understand it correctl.
You are using 2 SAP calls :
1. First call to SAP is for BAPI which will generate Document no,which is saved by your system.
2.second call is with reference to this doc number created earlier.
You will get error this doc number does not exist,if second call is without an y delay to first call..
Try to keep some delay when the document number gets updated in SAP .& then use second call .
If this does not seem problem, then you can ask SAP system admin team to keep trace on.So that whenever your system calls SAP the data log is generated.& you can find out what's going wrong.

Problems with installation SAP Netweaver ABAP 7.0

Hello, can someone give me an adice on installing SAP NetWeaver ABAP 7.0 trial version, please?
After installing the application server and SAP management konsole and stopping the application server following message pops up. The same message pops up after installing SAP GUI and starting the application server again.
Can this be caused by bad installation of MS Loopback Adapter on my Windows Vista?

I´m sorry but i think i´m not able to help you so much. I´ve just installed SAP in my Laptop but with XP-Professinal. At first i had some troubles too and at the end i had to reinstall it to make it run properly so i think i cannot help you very much. Sorry.
Despite this, take a look at the detailed instructions of how to set up MS Loopback Adapter when you execute the file start of the SAP installation. You can check if the MS Loopback adaptor is working or not. And do not forget to search messages in relation with errors (-24700,ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART, etc...)
Maybe it´s a silly question but it´s really stopped the database ? when you open the SAP Console the server and the database are in grey ?

Problem with the SAP menu in CRM 2007

Hello all,
We just had a brand new installation of SAP CRM 2007 in our organization. As soon as I logged in I am puzzled to see that all the menus and menu paths won't show up.
For example:
If I go in to Master data --> Business partner --> There is no menu path for Maintain Business partner etc.
Same is the case with Marketing, Sales and Service. I don't see any of the real menu paths for creating marketing projects, segment builder, sales order creation screen etc. All these components are missing.
I checked on SU01 regarding the roles assigned to me. There were none and the profile assigned to me says "Z_SAP_ALMOST_ALL" or something. I tried finding out the existing roles and am not sure about the options. I added the role for business partner in to my user ID, logged off and logged on and still nothing shows up.
The menu is still the same.

I'm going to be very polite here about this, but did you read the CRM master guide before your installation or any of the documentation on CRM 2007?
If you have read this you would have realized that the SAP GUI is no longer supported for most business user tasks in CRM according to OSS note 1118231. In addition a search of this forum would have revealed this same answer. That is why those transactions are removed from your menu.

Problems with consuming SAP BW WSDL in Crystal Reports 2008

I am trying to use the WSDL generated from the SAP BW in Crystal Reports 2008 using the XML and Web Services driver, but when I input the WSDL url Crystal does not interpret the url passed in as a WSDL url and the Services, Port and Method drop downs are blank.
If I manually input the values I get the error below from Crystal
"Logon failed.
Details: Web Service Location is invalid
WSDL Exception (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portType/wsp:Policy): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL:Encountered unexpected element
'Policy'."
I know this is a valid WSDL as I have tested it with Xcelsius 2008 and I am able to get data back in Xcelsius. I found SAP note 1485601 that talks about Crystal Reports not being able to reading a WSDL generated by a SAP system.

Based on the error message from Crystal above I feel that Crystal is unable to read the WSDL URL, has anyone else encountered this issue, if so is there a possible work around.
We are running Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP3 FP 3 and the SAP Integration Kit is also on the same service pack and patch level.
Any help or insight into the issue will be very helpful.

I am using the "XML and Web Services" connection option in Crystal Reports, and using a HTTP WSDL.Here is a sample of how WSDL url generated by SAP BW.

We have a two structure BW query (one for keyfigures and one as characteristic structure ), I know that this will cause the structure for the characteristics to show up as a single field and each element of the structure will result in a row of data, but we need the individual elements on the structure and we were hoping to get around the MDX driver limitation by using the web service connection.
The data in the Crystal Reports 2008 needs to be in a crosstab layout as shown below, but if we use the Crosstab expert the key figures are stacked one under the other and also we cannot get the labels from the KPI structure to show up on the Crystal Reports.

Problem with a SAP BW Query and Webi

Hi all,
Does anybody knows the reason why when using webi to access a SAP BW query that prompts the user for
a date, it gives an error on the format? It seems the lov is not being populated correctly. If I write
manually the value the prompt expects, it works, but if you select one of the values of the list it doesn't.
The version is XIR2 and if you create a simple query everything seems to work fine.
Any idea?
I don't know if there is something to do with language parameters or something like that.

I'll try to explain what we get when we running the webi report.
The lov to select from retrievs data like "K41002008" that is supposed to be a date, but if you select this value the report fails. Instead of
selecting the value, if I manually write for instance "01/01/2008", the report works fine.
I don't know if this is useful.
Once I have more info to send, I'll do it right away.

TP_ Return code: 0208 Error text: error in transport profile (parameter missing)
RZ10 --> Instance Profile --> Change Mode
DIR_TRANS=\usr\sap\trans\SUM\SUM\abap
DIR_PUT=\usr\sap\trans\SUM\SUM\abap
changed the Value
DIR_TRANS=\\HostName\sapmnt\trans
DIR_PUT=\\HostName\sapmnt\trans
Restart the SAP via sapmmc
Now APPLY the Pending SAP Note
again change the value of DIR_TRANS & DIR_PUT via RZ10 and Restart the sapmmc
tp locksys SID pf=\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL
tp lock_eu SID pf=\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL
