Problem with ringtones

I'm getting the following message:
Some of the items in the iTunes library, including ..... were not copied to the iPhone because you are not authorized to use them on this computer.
How do I fix this... they were bought from iTunes on this computer and have been able to sync very well with my iPod's and iPhone... why no ringtone.. I paid for it!

Hey.. thanks for trying to help.. that didn't work..
How do I know whether it is an m4a or m4r and how do I change it?
EDIT...
Just saw where they are m4r
how do I change it? I'll try while waiting for a reply!

EDIT... LAST ONE...
Okay.. changed the r to a, then exited iTunes and re-launched. Plugged in my iPhone and still same message.
Oh well.. would have liked the ringtones that I spent awhile on and $2 (so happy I created only two and not a hundred!!!) ... of course the $2 for 2 ringtones isn't the problem.. the getting them just perfect is.. and for nothing. Anyone that has another suggestion I'm all ears.. will look for replys tomorrow. Goodnight!

  • Problems with Ringtone Creator app for blackberry curve. Please Help!

I recently downloaded the ringtone creator app to use to create my own ringtones with my mp3s, and i made one and it worked fine yesterday. Now today i went to make another one and it has been processing for two hours now. I just took the battery out to reboot it and see if that would help. How can i prevent this from happening again?

  • Is anyone having problem with ringtone repeatition????

I m facing this problem from the day i have buy dis iPhone 4s....its very irritating when u listen any message tone in a repeatition voice.....

Is this a stock or custom ringtone? What troubleshooting steps have you done? User troubleshooting begins with powering the phone off/on, if that doesn't help, then a reset by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release, if that doesn't help, this does not affect data. Then a restore, first from a backup and if that doesn't help, then restore as a new device or not from a backup. The restore will affect your data, will effectively erase everything on the phone and install new firmware and if from a backup will use the backup to put everything back on the phone. If you do a restore as a new device, it will do the same except you would have to sync all of your data back, so make sure everything is synced up as it should be to all of the supported applications (calendar/contacts).

  • Problem with ringtone downloads

Hi, I purchased a ringtone from the store last night (for the iPhone 4s) but it's still showing up on the downloads page as 'waiting'. It's been over 12 hrs now, I've tried downloading again but that hasn't worked & if there's a way to cancel it I can't figure it out. I'm not even sure if I've been charged for it yet. Any suggestions?

No, I personally have not. This is bizarre as Apple has extremely robust monitoring systems set in place to prevent this exact sort of thing from happening.
From past experience I have had great success with their support team via email. Just explain the problem to them and they should be able to make it right.
Or, in iTunes, click on your email address in the upper right hand corner then half way down the page click on Purchase History. In here you can see what really happened. If it still only shows one copy (or none) then that's not so good. But if there is more than one, click on any of them (or even if there is just only one) and click "Report A Problem", select "My question isn't listed here". I would select this option over 'I didn't receive this item" because if you tell them you didn't get it they'll probably just tell you to "Check For Purchases", (which, by the way, you should probably do anyways). But it's your choice for which one to choose.
If all else fails, just contact your financial institution and initiate and investigation.
    Hope this helps,
    -SM

  • Problem With Ringtones in iTunes

Okay so I've never tried the ringtone thing before and I tried it out last night and it worked fine. Now today, I get to my computer and click on the "Create Ringtone" tab thing. It goes through the "processing" load bar and then it goes to the ringtone creator, but then this iTunes window comes up saying "This song cannot be made into a ringtone. Insert Song Name Here by Insert Band Name Here can no longer be made into a ringtone." I tried it again, and this time the rejection window came up immediatly. How can I get rid of this and make ringtones with any of my songs?

yeah but for me it never even let me get to the purchase part, it just rejected me after like 1.5 seconds the first time, now it just doesn't load the song/ringtone editor, it just rejects me.....

  • Two problems with ringtones

1)My Pre doesn't recognise the names for the mp3 ringtones I made for the phone.
2)My first Pre broke and the new one will play but won't select the mp3 ringtones I made. The first Pre didn't recognise the names, but played and allowed selection of any of the ringtones as "Unknown."

That is strange, I have had a very similar problem. I downloaded ringtones on my first phone, but my second one will not download. Actually they download but they will not attach to a contact. Any thoughts?

  • Problem with ringtones after update

I ran a major update yesterday and now my purchased ringtones are not on my phone. They still appear in the itunes library, but they will not synch.

Connect your iPhone to your computer via USB cable and then run iTunes.  Click on your device on the left hand bar, and then on the tabs that are shown in the middle of iTunes click on Tones, and then click on Sync Tones.

  • Problem with iTunes and ringtones

Hello everybody! I'm running iOS 7.1.2 on my iphone 5c and I have a really annoying problem with my ringtones.I can see all my ringtones in my iPhone by going to Settings>Sounds>Ringtone. However, when I connect to iTunes I can only see some of them, thus I can not delete the unwanted ones. So how can I get rid of the ringtones that are not displayed in iTunes?

  • TS1630 i am having problem with my iphone 4S speaker. apparently, i can hear ringtone and alarm, but i cant seem to play music on speaker. HELP!

i dont know what happened to my Iphone. I cant play music on speaker anymore. and when i pressed on volume up and down buttons there is no show of increased or decrease sound. i need help. but i can listen to music and adjust the sound while i m on earphone. and i can hear ringtone, alarm and all. just the problem with playing music. THANKS!

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

  • Problem with MP3 Ringtones

    Hi,
we have a Problem with our BB 10 devices if you use a MP3 as ringtone with more than a 128 bitrate the ringtone never stops if the caller cancels the call. And then you have to search how to stop the playing of the sound else it repeats until the accumulator is empty or the next person calls.
We have the problem with all our 25 BB10 devices.

The Z10 can deal with a 128 bitrate for an MP3 ringtone.  Most ringtons you find are 96 or 128 etc.  It most likely the size of the file that is causing you a problem.  Try using a smaller sized file around 3 to 8 megs or so.

  • Ringtones sync problem with IP6+

    Dear all,
I have got my IPhone 6 + last week and I have been managed to sync my own ringtones to it but I got stuck.
With my previous Iphone, I always chose the "Manual manage music and videos" option and do the same thing for ringtones. It means I do not use the option "Sync tones", but add my own ringtones to my phone manually one by one. It totally went well. However, I obtained a big problem with my new IP6+ and Itunes 12. My phone does not capture the ringtones, when I drag a tones from Tones of Itunes to Tones of my phone, it is not captured.
I find a lot of instruction on making ringtones for IP6+, all of them use the "Sync Tones" option. I have never used this way before and when I try this time, I see a notice about removing all music and movies from my phone, then my ringtones will be captured. I do not prefer this way at all as I often changes my tone and I share a laptop with my brother, I do not want to keep removing and saving my music library. Please help me on this. Thank you in advance.

I don't trust anything on my computer screen for timing, color etc the viewer is a proxy and depending on your RT settings is a best guess.
Watch the output of the Kona while monitoring the output audio from the Kona.
That's what goes to tape that is what is real.
The rest is GFX card core audio timing RT settings, etc etc

  • Problems with 'Create Ringtone' Function in iTunes

I am using an iPhone, connected to iTunes 7.5(19) on a MacBook running Mac OS X 10.4.11 Within iTunes there is the option to 'Create Ringtone' which as I understand it, should be selected once a song has been selected within the iTunes window (ie one that has already been purchased). When I do this, I get the message "ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store" - this is confusing as I can successfully connect to the iTunes store from iTunes to do all the usual things I would normally do in linking to the store. Any insights/suggested fixes would be appreciated as I have drawn a blank with everything that I have tried to do to solve this.

I have exactly the same problem with a new imac and iphone. itunes have been unable to help. Have you solved it problem yet?

  • Problems with Phone Volume (Ringtone) with iPhone 3G and v20

It seems with then new iPhone 3G and/or version 2.0 that everytime my phone either is turned off or sleep mode activated, it always resets my phone volume to about 50%. I always have to manually turn the ringer volume up each time. Ive restored the phone and it continues to do so. Any thoughts?????

I have had a similar problem with my original iPhone and have not yet figures out how to fix it.

  • Problem with manual sync of ringtones

If I manually copy a ringtone(I have 3 in iTunes) from my library to my iPhone everything looks great in iTunes (3 ringtones, 3 different songs). However, if I open settings\sounds\ringtones on my iPhone, only the last ringtone shows, albeit multiple times (3 ringtones, 3 entries all the same ringtone, under custom).
Setting up an automatic synch resolves the problem

For this particular issue, connect the iphone to the computer. When the iphone shows up in itunes, click the triangle to the left of the name of the iphone to expand the menu down. Click on ringtones under the name of the iphone and see if itunes displays the names of the ringtones correctly.
If one or more if the ringtones shows up correctly, then this is a software issue on the iphone.
To resolve this issue, you are going to need to restore the iphone. After the the iphone restores it shows back up in itunes with a message about restore from back up. At this point, do not restore from back up, set up as new iphone. This is because, what ever was corrupted on the iphone causing the issue with ringtones, you do not want to put the corruption back on the iphone.
    Hope this helps out.
