Problem with ROLAP Aggregations

Hi there
I am having trouble with specifying aggregations in a ROLAP cube in OWB 10gR2.
I have a cube that contains a number of measures as well as a degenerate dimension and a Date/Time field.
Problem is that I cannot find out how to specify agreggation for only some measures in the cube.
Obviously I don't want to aggregate the degenerate dimension or the date/time field. But additionally, only some of the measures need to be aggregates and furthermore I want to be able to specify a different method of aggregation on different measures.
Please help, am going nuts!
Thanks in advance
Jays :-)

Hi, Beverley.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to trim clips using iMovie.  I would need a little more information on how you were attempting to trim a clip to provide a better answer.  However, make sure you have the movie project open and are selecting the clip that you wish to trim as this will activate the clip trimmer.

  • Problem with Exceptional Aggregation

    Hi Gurus

I need summarized report as follows
    Fromcostcenter tocostcenter  allocation%
    101234                   102355         10
    101234                   102346          90
But iam getting report as follows
    101234   102355  30
    101234   102355  270
The allocation% keyfigure should not be accumulated, so for this i specified Exceptional aggregation but not worked.
    Any Suggestions,please help me.
    Thanks

    Hi
I am also having same problem. Did you get a solution for your problem? Can you please tell me how did u manage to display 10 and 90 instead of 30 and 270?
I also tried exceptional aggregation if more than one value. but not working.
    Thanks

  • Query Problem With Exception Aggregation

    Hello,
I have two I/O 0Customer and 0Cont_Acct and also I have a Infoset made out of both. Here is the problem i am trying to solve,
I want to figure out the customers who has more than five contract accounts associated with each customer number.
Here is the solution I approached....
        1) Created a formula variable counter on the KF # of data records (which is provided in the Infoset automatically ) with exception aggregation total while referencing the contract acct I/O.
       2) Kept my customer #  and Contract acct on my rows area.
The results I am getting is less than satisfying.  I am expecting   this output below.
Customer #                 Cont Acct                  Total No of Cont.acct
    A                                  1001                                1
                                         1002                                1
                                         1003                                1
                                                                                  3
    B                                  1007                                 1
I would appreciate anybody's help in this.  Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
We have the same problem and raised an OSS ticket. They replied us with the note 1257455 which offers all ways of improving performance in such cases. I guess there s nothing else to do, but to precalculate this exception aggregated formula in data model via transformations or ABAP.
By the way, cache can not help you in this case since exc. agg. is calculated after cache retrieval.
    Hope this helps,

  • Problem with Task Aggregation from Project Server with old Project Server permissions mode.

Hi, I have installed Sharepoint 2013 with all CU, and Project Server 2013 with June CU update. Later, I attached database from old Project Server 2010 database, all was OK, but now I have my PWA with old Project Server permissions mode.
After that I have created MySite with users from AD of my company, it's OK, but Task Aggregation not working. Moreover, I have not any errors on the MyTask page.
You can see that I can insert private tasks, but I can not see any tasks from pwa, however I have a lot of tasks there. Please help me.
My search works well amd WMA Service too.
Where directly crawler search the tasks? Maybe there are errors in search log with that ulrs?

    Hi,
did you setup the Work Management Service Application in the Central Administration? If yes, please check if the Applicationpool account of the Work Managment Service has full Access to the User Profile Service Application (over the Ribbon | Permissions).
Check also if your Projects are published so that you have a Project Workspace for each Project. In the workspaces you should have a list "Tasks" or "Tasks1" for migrated workspaces. This is important because only Tasks from the workspaces' Tasklist are
    shown in the Mysite
In any other cases please check the ULS Log and/or the Application Event log. Especially have a look to Distributed Cache Service and the Feed Cache.

  • Problem with exception aggregation

    Hi forums,
Can any one help in this issue?
We checked the data in the ECOM cube for the order 63349312 where it is giving 6 records eventhough we are deleting the adjacent duplicates of the order number in the start routine. (Is it like the deletion of adjacent duplicates happen in data packet level instead of happening in the entire cube level? B'cos the same order might present in the different packets.)
Hence the data is aggregating for the key figure, 'Number of Days' in the ECOM report. But if we check the keyfigure properties in the RSA1, there we selected the Exception Aggregation as 'First Value' and aggregation reference char as 'ZN_CORD' (Order number). Still it is aggregating the number of days value in the report.
    Regards,
    Charan.

    Hi Rohit,
We are doing same procedure as you mentioned. We assigned order number as refer characteristic to keyfigure No. of days in infi object level. But this operation is not working in report level
          Order number     ZCUDATE                  ZN_GSTRP            ZN_CORDKF     ZN_DAYSKF
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
    I want o/p as
    Order number     ZCUDATE                   ZN_GSTRP               ZN_CORDKF     ZN_DAYSKF
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000     109
    but it is showing as
    Order number     ZCUDATE                      ZN_GSTRP     ZN_CORDKF  ZN_DAYSKF
            63349312     18.01.2009     01.10.2008     1,000            676

  • Problem with hierachy aggregation, only using last child to populate parent

The following is a report that is dynamically generated:

    2003 Q4          2,741,664
    2003 TOTAL          2,741,664
You can see that for some reason the hierachy is not adding correctly, as it is solely taking the last month of the quarter and saying that it is the quarter's numbers. And taking the last quarter's numbers and saying that it is the year's.
I've also verified that it only occurs on asset and liability type accounts and not income and expense type accounts.
    How is this occuring?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,
The data that you attached is totally correct from an accounting perspective. Since BPC is used mainly by finance people, it follows this perspective.
    Let me try to explain why this is correct;
    There is one big difference between balancesheet accounts (AST/LEQ in BPC) and profit and loss accounts (INC/EXP);
Balance sheet accounts are always referring to a Period End closing amount which should always be the same for the total year, Q4 and the last month of a year (as shown in your example).
Profit and loss accounts on the other hand should only show the amount that are posted to these accounts for the selected period, so the total year should be added up from jan-dec, and Q4 should be an adding up of oct-dec, etc.
Periodic values (this period -/- previous period) for balancesheet accounts are only relevant for Cash-flow calculations and some movements that need to be reported on a periodic bases (ie Investments). Cash-flow is mostly calculated into a seperate account tree, Periodic investments, when a seperate subtable dimension (type s) is used, can standardly not directly be reported in Excel, but can be calculated in Excel by retrieving this period, the previous period and than calculate the difference for these two. Another solution might be to use a custom measure to do the trick.
    Hope this helps,
    Alwin

  • Problem with aggregation of Key figure

    Hi All,
I am having aggregation problem with the KF, i have created a RKF AvgVeh with a constant selection on part#, and now i am using this in my CKF Rxz = avgveh * part#, the char in the cube are Supplier and VL the the value of Rxy is correct when it drilldown by VL(for each individual VL but the result row is different) but when it's aggregated by Supplier its showing a different value its showing the result row value but actually it should show the sum of all the values for each VL, can any one help with this.
    VL          Rxz
    VL1          58,558.71
    VL2          154,629.00

    VL10          68,092.36
    VL11          991.25
Result Row      17,179,838.75 (This should actually be 1298633.66 sum of the above values, but shows different value which is same if there is no constant selection)
    supplier     Rxz
    Company A    17,179,838.75(this should be 1298633.66)
    Company B    890899

  • Problem with query for Oracle

    Hello Experts,
I'm tryng to develop my first application for EP (v7 SP12) with NWDS (without NWDI).
This application has to read and write data in the EP DB (oracle v10).
    I'm using:
<u>a Dictionary Project</u> (define the DB Tables)
<u>a Java Project</u> (define class as DAO, DBManager etc)
    <u>a Library Project</u>
    <u>an EJB Project</u>
    <u>an EAR Project</u>
With these projects I can deploy a <u>webService</u> in my EP server.
BUT I have some problem with a query that I'm tryng to sent to my DB through a DAO Class called by my WebService.
The query is simple and correct but it does not work...
This is the error message returned (the query id in bold)
(column names: GIORNO, NOMEDITTA, NOMEAREA, NOMESETTORE)
    <i>HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

The variable '?' is the today date, the difference <b>"(?-GIORNO)"</b> is an int..
Moreover in my DAO class the query is <b>"SELECT NOMESETTORE, MIN(? - GIORNO) AS GIORNI FROM SRS_DATEINFORTUNI WHERE NOMEDITTA = ? AND NOMEAREA= ? GROUP BY NOMESETTORE ORDER BY NOMESETTORE</b>", instead in the error message is reported <b>MIN(? - "GIORNO")</b>...
We have tryed also with alternative query, for example we used <b>"MIN(SYSDATA - GIORNO)"</b> but <b>SYSDATA</b> was interpreted as column name and  not found....
    Any help???
    Best Regards

Hi, I found something about the Host Variable (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ed/dbf8b7823b084f80a6eb7ad43bdbb9/content.htm), there explain that if you want to use an host variable you have to put ':' as prefix..
My problem is that <u>I need to extract the minimum of the subtraction between two dates:</u>
    Query <b>MIN(? - GIORNO)</b> --> <i>Error: the arithmetic expression >>? - "GIORNO"<< contains a host variable (parameter marker)</i>
So I tried to use the ':' as indicated in the manual..
    <b>MIN:(? - GIORNO)</b> --> - <i>SQL syntax error: the token ":" was not expected here
                   - expecting LPAREN, found ':'</i>
    <b>MIN(:(? - GIORNO))</b> --> <i>- 1:25 - Open SQL syntax error: :PARAMETER not allowed
                   - 1:26 - SQL syntax error: the token "(" was not expected here
                   - 1:26 - expecting ID, found '('</i>
Then I tried to avoid the MIN() function and I tried to do just the subtraction:
    <b>? - GIORNO</b> --><i> - 1:21 - the arithmetic expression >>? - "GIORNO"<< contains a host variable (parameter marker)</i>
    <b>:(? - GIORNO)</b> --> <i>- 1:21 - Open SQL syntax error: :PARAMETER not allowed
                - 1:22 - SQL syntax error: the token "(" was not expected here
                - 1:22 - expecting ID, found '('</i>
    <b>'2007-09-24' - GIORNO</b> --> <i>- 1:34 - SQL syntax error: first argument of operator "-" must be a number, date/time or interval
                     - 1:43 - SQL syntax error: arguments of operator "-" do not have correct types
                     - 1:43 - SQL syntax error: derived columns in SELECT list with AS must be values</i>
<b>GIORNO - GIORNO</b> --> <i>- 1:21 - the group by list and the select list are inconsistent: the column >>"GIORNO"<< is neither grouped nor aggregated
                  - 1:30 - the group by list and the select list are inconsistent: the column >>"GIORNO"<< is neither grouped nor aggregated</i>
Why these parts of query are not accepted???
I don't understand why... I hope you can help me.
    Best Regards
    Alessandro

  • [SOLVED]Asus UX32VD, problems with ACPI and Intel video driver

    1. The bigger problem seems to be Intel video driver:
When xf86-video-intel is installed, screen stays black after booting. By adding "nomodeset" to grub doesn't help. If I don't start gdm while booting, I can boot to command line with "nomodeset".  From command line I tried "startx", but X doesn't start, probably because "nomodeset" has disabled KMS and I've understood that Intel driver needs KMS for GNOME.
When xf86-video-vesa is installed instead of intel driver, screen is still black. By adding "nomodeset" to grub, I can see only mouse at gdm. If rebooting computer without gdm, I can start gnome from command line with startx and it works nice.
In both setups I can connect to laptop with ssh when screen is black. With ssh I checked screen brightness, but it was maximum.
    Intel driver version: xf86-video-intel 2.20.1-3
    2. The problem with ACPI is found from dmesg, I don't think this effects to graphics problem, because with vesa driver and "acpi=off" set to grub I can start Gnome with startx. I don't even know if it effects at all on my system, dmesg shows error which effects to displayport( intel_dp_i2c_aux_ch error) these maybe related to each others:

Sometimes with Intel driver I can see mouse while loading gdm, but then it goes to black.
I tried to boot with Intel driver with "drm.debug=14" and "log_buf_len=16M"  as boot parameters. There is debug log from gdm, it seems to have some errors, I have not yet looked deeble on it:

  • Suggestion for a trick i will do to overcome my problem with PO history

    Dear MM consultant,
i will explain my problem first then i will tell u my trick to overcome this problem and plz give me ur suggestion about this trick it will success or not.
first we have a PO with about 2100 items + 7 conditions for 5 vendors after we make goods reciept and make our first invoice for the first vendor the PO history for delivery cost table EKBZ will contain about 22000 records...
the problem here my user first creat a park invoice then when he need to post this parked, MIRO take long time reach to 15 minutes and some time it through time out exception to open this parked invoice, after depuging i found it loop on the 2100 items and inside this loop it loop on the 22000 records of PO history table with small calculation it do 46200000 loop !!!!!!
    Function "ME_READ_COND_INVOICE"
SELECT * FROM ekbz INTO TABLE l_bzt WHERE ebeln EQ i_ebeln.
        LOOP AT l_bzt ASSIGNING <ls_bzt>.
          PERFORM bzt_selektion USING <ls_bzt>.
        ENDLOOP.
i send this error to SAP and they said the only soultion for the PO history is to use PO aggregation in SAP Note 311089
iin some reason i didn't success to do this PO aggregation i think its need other note or something else and olse if i do PO aggregation and i need to cancel any goods reciept i can't do this until i make PO disaggregation and it is other story....
my solution here before post the parked invoice i run a custom program that update the EKBZ table to set PO#(ebeln) = PO#+'t' where DOC#(BELNR) <> parked inv, the result from this the above select statement will only return the records of this parked invoice not all the history and then after we post, i will run the program again and change all PO# to their right number
what do u thing about this solution ??????

It will be updated after invoice verification in p.o history.

  • Query rewrites with Nested materialized views with different aggregations

    Platform used : Oracle 11g.
Here is a simple fact table (with measures m1,m2) and dimensions (a) Location (b) Calendar and (c) Product. The business problem is that aggregation operator for measure m1,m2 are different along location dimension and Calendar dimension. The intention is to preaggregate the measures for a product along the calendar dimension and Location dimension and store it as materialized views.
The direct option is to define a materialized view with Inline queries (Because of the different aggrergation operator, it is not possible to write a query without Inline query). http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28313/qradv.htm#BABEAJBF documents the limitations that it works only for 'Text match' and 'Equivalent queries' and that is too limiting.
So decided to have nested materialized view, with first view having just joins(my_dim_mvw_joins), the second view having aggregations along Calendar dimension (my_dim_mvw_calendar) and third view having aggregations along the Location dimension(my_dim_mvw_location). Obviously I do not want the query I fire to know about materialized views and I fire it against the fact table. I see that for the fired query (Which needs aggregations along both Calendar and Location), is rewritten with just second materialized view but not the third. (Had set QUERY_REWRITE_INTEGRITY as TRUSTED) .
Wanted to know whether there are limitations on Query Writes with nested materialized views? Thanks
(Have given a simple testable example below. Pls ignore the values given in 'CALENDAR_IDs', 'PRODUCT_IDs' etc as they are the same for all the queries)

This Query rewrites only with my_dim_mvw_calendar. (as saw in Query Plan and EXPLAIN_MVIEW). But we would like it to use my_dim_mvw_location as that has aggregations for both dimensions.

    Hi all,
I'm trying to make my programmer's life easier by creating a database view for them to query the data, so they don't have to worry about joining tables. This sounds like a pretty horrible idea. I say this because you will eventually end up with programmers that know nothing about your data model and how to properly interact with it.
Additionally, what you will get is a developer that takes one of your views and see's that of the 20 columns in it, it has 4 that he needs. If all those 4 columns comes from a simple 2 table join, but the view has 8 tables, you're wasting a tonne of resources by using the view (and heaven forbid they have to join that view to another view to get 4 of the 20 columns from that other view as well).
Ideally you'd write stored routines that satisfy exactly what is required (if you are the database resource and these other programmers are java, .net, etc... based) and the front end developers would call those routines customized for an exact purpose.
Creating views is not bad, but it's by no means a proper solution to having developers not learn or understand SQL and/or the data model.

  • Problems with Input Ready Query

    Hello All,
I'm facing problems with input ready query for BI IP.
I've created the input query on aggregation level and maintianed all the planning settings.  It is not allowing me to edit, when i'm attaching in the web template.
I also attached a button copy function, and i'm able to execute it and save it, but it not allowing me to change manually.
I also enabled the 3rd option for keyfigures...data can be changed with planning functions and user input.
Please help me in this regard.
We have just started the development of BI-IP, please suggest me if there are any notes to be applied.
    Regards
    Kumar

    Hello Johannes,
Yes I've set to the finest granularity...even if it is Only one characteristic and one key figure without any restrictions...
I've checked even planning tab page under properties...it is also fine..
But still it is not allaowing me to go to edit mode...this is a fresh instalation and the query i'm working is the first one...
Please suggest me if there are any notes to be applied, we are on Support Pack 10.

    I have a problem in a query
I have a lot of records that are the same and I don’t want to sum the value of them more than once. How can this be done??
The following table should illustrate my problem:

I want the Overall Score to be 12. (only summing up unique records Of CFBID).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with native SQL cursor in generic data source

    Hi, All!
I am implementing generic data source based on FM.
Because of complicated SQL I canu2019t use Open SQL and RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE-example u201Cas isu201D.
So, I have to use Native SQL. But Iu2019ve got a problem with a cursor. When I test my data source in RSA3, everything is Ok. But, if I start appropriate info-package, I get error u201CABAP/4 processor: DBIF_DSQL2_INVALID_CURSORu201D. It happens after selecting of 1st data package in line u201CFETCH NEXT S1 INTOu2026u201D. It seems to me that when system performs the second call of my FM the opened cursor has already been disappeared.
Did anyone do things like this and what is incorrect?
Is it real to make generic data source based on FM with using Native SQL open, fetch, closeu2026

    Hi Jason,
I don't think this SQL is very valuable It is just an aggregation with some custom rules. This aggregation is performing on info-provider which consists of two info-cubes. Here we have about 2 billion records in info-provider and about 30 million records in custom db-table Z_TMP (certainly, it has indexes). I have to do this operation on 21 info-providers like this and I have to do this 20 times for each info-provider (with different values of host-variable p_GROUP)

  • Problem with the "Total By" icon

    Hi.
Working with Answer I've a problem with the "Total By" icon when the fact displayed is semi-additive.
    I try to explain better:
    1) my fact table has the following dimensions
    Time (year granularity)
    City
    Type of contracts
    2) the fact table contains the fact "Number of Active Contracts"
this fact is additive by City and Type but not by Year.
The "Number of Active Contracts" is calculated usign 2 existing logical columns
Sum (of Number Of Contracts (at base granularity)) / Count Distinct ( of Years )
This fact express an average when more than year is involed in the aggregation,
but express the exact number of contracts if the year is displayed as an output column of the report.
This fact works well changing the aggregation in reports, but when I click on the "Total By" icon to show
the totals its behaviour is different from expected.
consider the report with the following columns:
Yearm City, Number of Active Contracts
Click her to view it: http://yfrog.com/euerrtotaliconj
The "Total By" icon Instead of the sum divided by ditinct years involed, i.e. 1, shows the sum divided by the number of Cities.
It seem it is counting 5 tiimes (= number of cities) the same year.
But If make a report with
    Year, Number of Active Contracts
Click her to view it: http://yfrog.com/mjoktotalj
    it works as expected !
    Many thanks,
    Andrea

Philipp is right to tell the developer that the toolbar is automatically disappearing after customizing the add-on on the toolbar. I tried it, and it looks like it gets attached to the Bookmark Tool bar. It may help to make sure all the Toolbars are visible in '''View> Toolbars. '''
It may also be because I have too many extensions on my toolbar ( Too many favorites :-))
