Problem With router related to mIRC?

Hi Everyone,
I am having problem with my router (model = WRT54G2 and version = 1) related to mirc, the problem is that whenever i recieve or try to send someone a code something like this I'm a QUEER?DCC SEND "gay???g?" 0 0 0 i get dc. First i thought that it's some problem with mIRc so i went into their help community and asked them but one of their guys said that it's not mIRC's problem it's some problem with my router and he gaved me two solutions:
There are really only 2 real solutions:
1. get another router or update your router's fimware
2. (if the network supports it) connect with SSL to the IRC server. This encrypts text between the server and mIRC and your router will be unable to read the contents of the packets coming from the IRC server
i tried the 2nd one and it worked i dont get dc anymore but the problem is that only 5-6 servers on mirc support ssl so it cant be possible and as far as the first option is concerned i tried to upgrade my firm but it didn't helped me the problem is still there so if you guys can find me a way i will be really thankful to ya cos i dont wanna buy a new router now....Thanks.
NOTE: in case you dont believe me that i had help from mirc support forum you can check out this link: http://trout.snt.utwente.nl/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=212660&page=1#Post212660
NOTE#2: i have tried connecting to mirc without my router with direct net and that code doesn't works when i stay connected with direct net.

well i cant go for SSL cos the servers on mIRC which are supporting SSL are a bit lame , i want this problem to be fixed and as far as resetting is concerned why to reset after firmware upgrade? do we have to do it?

  • Problems with router pc and mac

I have installed a wifi router in a pc, coaxial cable plus ethernet. Recently I bought a McBook and I have some problems with internet conexions. I can run explorer in pc or in mac but I can use the explorer with the two machines at the same time. I can work with the mac restarting the router and doing the airport configuration, then internet don´t work in the pc; if I want work with the pc I do the same operation: restart the router and detect configuration with pc.
Anybody know what is the problem and posible solutions?
    Thank you for your help.

    See if this helps you.

  • Two problems with router

ok so I have a three story house and the modem is downstairs on the second floor then right there I have a Linksys WRT300N router and then that has four ports in the back for hardwire cables and I had comcamst (my isp) come and run a cable up to the third floor for my gaming pc because the wireless wasnt very good because I have thick walls. This worked great and then I got my ps3. I tried using wireless and it was slow so i now switch the cable between the two depending on what im using. I want to hardwire both of them so how would i do this? The problem I am having may have to do with the router but not sure. I have COD4 for PC and I always had problems with punkbuster and the servers kicking me. Now I have MW2 for the PS3 and I go to log on to online play but it just says "connecting to matchmaking server..." The servers are back online from what I hear, they came on this morning and plus this is not the same message people were getting for people who couldnt connect because of the server being taken down. If someone could help me hardwire both my PC and PS3 with my set up and help me with online issues I would be very happy thanks!

The cable you are using from the router to upstairs...Instead of that cable,Connect a switch to the router and connect your both the PS3 to the switch...it will work fine.

  • Problems with router connecting to internet

Several weeks ago, there was a small blackout for a couple hours. When the power came back on, I could not get an internet connection. After disconnecting the router, and connecting the modem directly to the computer, I have been able to get online. However, I still cannot seem to get the router to work.
I have followed the steps to set up a PPPoE connection several times. The correct display lights come on on both the modem and the router. Also, the router's status page says it is connected and the computer's network connections says that the internet gateway is connected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you have a storm or power failure, disconnect all power cords and cables between the wall and the modem and you will not have any problems with your network

  • Problem with REGEXP_SUBSTR related query.

I am having a problem with this query:
    SELECT *

  • Ipad Air WIFI problem with router

I keep losing my WIFI when downloading apps or on too long.  From what I've been reading, it's a router problem.  People have suggested changing my router settings, but I don't know to what.  I have a D-Link DIR-615 draft 802.11N router that I've had for 4 years.  On the box it says it performs at 802.11g.  My other option is to buy a new router.  Will my Ipad work with all new routers, or will there still be a different setting issue?  Any suggestions on what to buy besides an Apple Airport?  From what I've read, it will be hard to set up with my current modem and PC.  Thanks in advance for all your help.

I ended up buying a Netgear N600 model #DGND3700 and it solved my problem.  I have AT&T DSL and this is a modem/router combo (my modem was also old).  It was very easy to install.  When I first tried my Ipad again, it didn't work, so I tapped on general, reset, reset network settings and it worked just fine.  I hope this will help anyone else having trouble with WIFI.

  • Problem with server-relative Data Connections

I have an infopath form (2007) set up to submit data to a web service. Because we want the form to be browser-enabled, I set up data connection files to submit through.
When I try to submit in the browser, I get an error message. When I open the form in Infopath and submit there, I get this more detailed message:
"One or more data connections in your form are specified with a server-relative link, but no publish location has been defined for the form. Data connection settings will be retrieved from the server specified at design time. To enable the server-relative
link, publish your form to a Microsoft Office Server. Certain types of server-defined Web Service connections will not work with the design time settings."
If I hit OK here, the data submits to the web service properly.
I'm not sure what the problem is. My form is published to this location:
    https://portal.company.com/ca/it/requestform/Forms/
And the data connection library is here:
    https://portal.company.com/ca/it/connections/Forms/
Any suggestions? Am I missing something obvious?
    thanks.

I am able now to test my connexion succesfully after having restart my ODI.
I can reverse my XML file too.
But my datastores are empty except the first datastore genrated which correspond to the first Tag (the one after the root).

  • IChatAV possibly problems with router, any ideas please?

    Can anyone please help me?
I have spent a few days trying to work out what is wrong with my network/computer setup that prevents video chat working to computers that are not on my LAN. I have read just about every forum and post that looks meaningful but am struggling now.
Once upon a time it all just worked (with tiger). Now that I have a use for it..... obviously it doesn't.
My set-up is a little complicated but I can't believe its too unusual. I have a couple of macs and PCs running leopard with all the latest patches (although ichat had stopped working before the leopard upgrade). The LAN uses 192.168.1.0/24. I have a linux based router (openwrt-white russian 0.9 WRT-54GS) which runs amongst other things an asterisk SIP server (on port 5060). But while the versions of software have changed (mainly to try and get iChat working), it is still the same set up that used to work. There is an airport extreme on the LAN as well but that is in bridge mode and used as a 802.11n AP and printer server. My DSL modem is a Dlink DSL-302G which is running in half bridge mode which terminates the ASP's PPP session and presents IP packets addressed to the router which is provided with the PPP supplied IP address using DHCP. The router therefore is effectively connected directly to the ISP, there is no NAT in the DSL modem, only the router.
My ISP now offers a SIP based VoIP service which I use via asterisk on the router. The asterisk server also uses several other SIP based providers for both incoming and outgoing calls but these have been there for a long time and still work fine, so the ISP isn't messing with SIP messages.
As I have said this set-up once all worked fine with iChat over the internet. Now all that works is text.
iChat does work between machines on my LAN where I can do text, audio, video and screen sharing. I assume that this means that ports to external co-ordinating entities are working through the router. Non of the LAN machines have a firewall configured on them.
When I try and set up an AV chat with a remote machine I get to the "Starting video chat with..." and then after 10-15 seconds I get an error:-
    Disconnected from video chat because:
Did not receive a response from xxxx xxxx
When I try and set up an AV chat with appleu3test01 I get a different message saying "appleu3test01 cancelled the connection which I am assuming is just something timing out quicker on the bot and causing it to cancel the call before the setup protocol times out.
I have messed with the router adding and removing different uPNP agents but as far as I can tell they are working. I can see that UDP port 16402 has been set up for forwarding to the my imac.
When calling a friend, I have run network traces on the mac and both LAN and WAN ports of the router. I don't have any information on the AIM protocols to see if the problem is in there. I can provide the traces if this is useful. I do notice that SIP messages are being sent to my friends internet IP address but that they only contain my machine's LAN IP address ...
    INVITE sip:user@{friend's WAN IP addr}:16402 SIP/2.0
    Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.1.4:16402;branch=z9hG4bK1cf33cfb08dfaaca
    Max-Forwards: 70
    To: "{friend's name}@mac.com3" <sip:user@{friend's WAN IP addr}:16402>

    Call-ID: bcb4f7d8-d235-11dc-a3aa-b2953c604012@192-168-1-4

    Contact: <sip:[email protected]:16402>;isfocus
    User-Agent: Viceroy 1.3
    Content-Type: application/sdp
    Content-Length: 736
    .....snip....
Is this correct? UDP port 16402 has been upnp configured in the router to DNAT to 192.168.1.4:16402 which is the machine I made the call on. I do not receive a response to this message or any other SIP messages from my friend. I can see a upnp conversation between the mac and the router which asks for an external ip address which is provided. I can also see this external IP address being used in some AIM message fields.
Any ideas gratefully received and I can send significantly more information if required.
Thanks if you read this far.
    Steve

Ralph, Thanks for replying. There where no received SIP messages at all just the INVITE being sent but I have made some more progress. The mini does indeed just work. I can do everything that you are supposed to do to other ichat users on the internet. Very nice.
The imac is still playing up but I have got further. I had peerguardian2 installed which unknown to me doesn't need to be running to prevent you for accessing 'barred' IP addresses. snatmap.mac.com is barred in the lists! I discovered this when I saw one of your other posts showed how to turn on terminal logging for ichat. Now that I have turned off peerguardian2 (using the disable filters option) I can make calls to the testbot and see the adverts. I have even done a video conference with the two testbots. I will just uninstall peerguardian2.
However, I can not get a AV chat working to a real user....
    In response to your suggestions:-
I have tried all the options for quicktime streaming but will try 1.5Mb/s again.
The ichat bandwidth limit is set to "none". I am in New Zealand and I have standard ADSL (not ADSL2+) 7.6M down 512K up. The mini config is also set to none.
    Internet sharing is off.
I have had parallels on the machine but the two interfaces that it installed "Parallels Host-Guest" and "Parallels NAT" are configured 'off' and show as not connected. Is this enough? I will uninstall parallels and see if that helps since I don't use it. I also have VMware's thing installed but that doesn't seem to add any interfaces.
I need to capture a full trace of the imac to other ichat user to see what is happening but will update when I have does your suggested changes or have a trace
    Thanks again

  • Problem with routing voice isp

    Hi Guys,
I want to add a SIP trunk on my existing network. My ISP offers me on there switch 2900 with a single IP which i have to lead to my 3cx configuration on a HyperV.
What configuration do I need to make, to route the voice via the separate voice network ?
    Help appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Beano

    Hello,
First of all is important to say that this is not officially supported as PBR is not yet implemented on ASA firewalls.
There are some tweaks that you can do to try to make this happens (not 100% sure if will work due to the nature of this protocol opening pinholes) and of course would not recommended for any real scenario.
My best recommendation is to place a router in front of the Firewall (Just forwarding all traffic, no NAT being done there but performing the PBR for you).

    Hello follks,
Recently i deleted my iCloud id from my iPhone and added another, making sure i get to trasfer all my contacts to the new one. All went well, but since then Siri, despite the fact that she knows who i am, won't relate to my contacts, mother, father, girlfriend etc.
The related contacts are there and all's well. I even deleted my own contact and started from scrath but every time i tell her to call "x" she says there's a problem.
    See attachments:
Any ideeas? This is driving me crazy, since that was the only way i could get Siri to call my close ones because she doesn't have a clue how to pronounce the non-US names.

    That makes no sense.

  • Reoccuring Problem with Router

Every once in a while, my router will disconnect for no reason. When I try to reconnect, Windows says it can not connect, and when I diagnose the problem, it says the connection was cancelled. I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition, and my router Model # is WRT54GS.

Upgrade the firmware of your Router to the latest firmware version. This procedure often resolve router issues. You may need to download the latest firmware version at www.linksys.com. Be sure that you will be able to download the exact firmware for your router.
After the successful firmware upgrade, make sure that you will be able to "reset" the router to its' default settings. You can press and hold the Reset button at the back of the router for 10 seconds while it is turned On. Do a powercycle (Unplug and Re-plug the power of the device) after the reset.
    Hope this helps!

  • Problem with route configuration with wireles !

    Dear sir ;
we have a network consist of a wireless 340 and 2600 router with one ethernet port and a default static route and 2900 catalyst switch with 24 ports , wireless bridge plugged through switch with RJ-45 connector and i would like to connect another wireless circuit through a different location.
my question is : what kind of route configuration on router should i make to use secondary wireless independent with primary wireless for another network and can i make a configuration for failover ( which means primary line goes down secondary one will be up ) if yes how can i accomplish this ?
    Best Regards

If I understood correctly you want to have two wireless links to the same location so that if one fails the other will maintain conectivity.
You can do that two ways.
1-Configure spanning tree on the wireless bridges and that will shutdown the secondary link until the primary fails.
2-Another way is to have two routers with two ethernet ports and use a routing protocol so that when one of the links fails all traffic is routed through the other.
This is a more expensive way but has the advantage of being able to use the bandwidth of both links simultaneosly while in the first case the backup link is shutdown.
