Problem with Scheduling a Report to an Unmanaged disk destination

I am trying to schedule a Crystal report to a file share.  I have supplied the UNC path in the Directory field.  Supplied a user name (using domainname\userid) and password that has write rights to the file share.  When I schedule the report, I get the following error:
login error. CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
What kind of rights do I need to make it work?
Using BOE XI R2 Fix Pack 2.4
Regards,
Maureen

Are you running the Crystal Report Job Server under an account that has access to the share? Try doing that if not. (CCM > stop job server > properties > change to an AD user with access to both the file share and local Admin to run the service)

    Hi Karla,
    do you have any service packs installed on your BOBJ server? Does your destination folder reside on a network drive?

    Hi,
    We are encountering a problem with exporting a report to excel through ALV local file icon.A spread sheet is downloading only one row (From header) instead of many rows from the ALV output .
    Above is working fine for the GUI installed on my PC, but not throgh the Citrix server.
    Can any body have idea on above mentined?
    Regards,

    I understand that you're trying to download the file to a local computer  through Citrix. In this case you need autorizations in Citrix for your user ( CItrix user)

  • Problem with printing some report

    hi very body
    we have some problems with printing some reports.
    the problem is when printing a report the computer processes stoped
    and i should restart the computer a gain to print the report for first time and
    then in the second time i have same problem.

    Maher,
    You can check out the new printer driver test utility verions2.0 on OTN at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/reports/files/printerdrivertest.zip
    This should help you determine if it is a printer problem or whether you should look into another area.
    Also, you don't mention which version of reports, what command line options your using, the computer
    configuration your using whether it is a network printer or local printer connected to the machine. Support
    will need this information to help determine where your problem lies.

    Good afternoon, I have a problem with the crystal reports XI. him this in production making the consultation in a servant but when I access passing parameter connectionInfo.ServerName =  I address of the servant > for a test servant for VStudio 2005, he doesn't look for the data of this and it continues accessing the production servant.

    Fabiano, here is what I understand of the issue:
    1) You are using CR XI (I am not sure if release 1 or release 2)
    2) you are using .NET 2005
    3) you are trying to change the server name, but the report keeps giving you data from the original server
    Please answer the following:
    1) Are you using CR XI release 1 or release 2?
    2) Can you change to the new server, using the Crystal Reports Designer?
    3) Can you duplicate the issue on your development computer?
    4) What Crystal Reports service pack are you on?
    5) Are you connecting to the database using OLE DB?

  • Problem with scheduling planned orders in MRP

    There is a problem with scheduling planned orders in MRP. SFG is assigned to the BOM of FG. No inhouse production time maintained in the material master of SFG & FG. routing maintained for both . In OPU5 scheduling & capacity reuiremnts tickmarked for detailed scheduling. Scheduling level - via detaied scheduling. Scheduling type - backward. Adjust basic dates , adjust dep. req. to order start set. In MD02 , scheduling is via ' lead time scheduling'.
    My problem is the start date & time & finish date & time is same for planned orders of FG & SFG in the detailed scheduling tab of the planned orders. (Duration is same because of same capacity requirements on the same work centre. But how is the finish date same for both SFG & FG?)
    (Capacity requirements are being generated.)
    What could be the problem ?

    Dear,
    By scheduling the routing and maintain lot size dependent time in material is best practice and result of scheduling will be consistent.
    If you want SFG before FG you need to define lead time offset in BOM or need to maintain the floats before production.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Split a PDF by sections and name them into one unmanaged disk destination

    Hi,
    I have a report wich I export as a PDF to an unmanaged disk destination. The report is grouped by geographic area, and I want to separate the PDF into each of the 200 geographic areas. Is there any way to do this without having 200 versions of the report or without having 200 instances with a different parameter?
    Thanks,

    Thanks Bashir,
    It is a Crystal report, and I already have the sections with the tree in the left part to get to the appropiate section, the problem is that the report is too big and users prefer to access just the file they need; that is why I want to split into separate PDFs.  The other advantage is that it make it easier to link from my Intranet just to the part each group need, and for users who access remotly, opening a small file takes less time than opening a huge file, so there are many reson to split it.
    Any ideas?

  • Unmanaged disk destination - overwrite file possible?

    Hi,
    I have defined an unmanaged disk location for my Crystal Reports Server XI system.  The dozen or so reports that I have scheduled daily write to that destination fine -- unless an existing file with the same name already exists in that location.
    Since i have defined specified filenames (%SI_NAME%.%EXT), rather than the randomly generated name, each day's report is generated with the same name as any other day's.  However, the new reports do not overwrite the old, which I would like to enable if possible.  Please do not suggest adding %SI_STARTTIME%, to make the filename unique, for I need to retain a consistent filename for manually uploading (and overwriting) to Sharepoint (another topic of discussion).
    Is it possible to configure the unmanaged disk destination to overwrite existing files if same filename exists?
    Thank you,
    G.Brown

    Hi Greg,
    We're not using Crystal reports but do schedule BO Deski documents to publish as pdf files to a networked drive and we are using '%SI_NAME%.%EXT%' to specify the filename and it does automatically overwrites the existing files.  Does the username that your job is running under have full permissions on the folder in question on your unmanaged disk?
    Regards,
    Anne.

  • Unmanaged Disk Destination settings Default

    Hi,
    How can one change the u201CUnmanaged Disk Destination settings Defaultu201D option in any job servers to False?
    I need all the users to provide their domain username and password while scheduling reports to the unmanaged disk. Present value of the metric is "True". I don't find any way to change it back to false. I cant also use the reset to default option in case needed, as other configurations will get affected.
    Thanks & Regards
    Karuppiah N

    Hi Karuppiah!
    I think there is no way to deselect the standards for the output formats.
    You have following possibilities:
    1. Teach your users, that they have to unmark the default, and have to provide their own entries.
    2. Enter defaults for each report.
    I thought about the file output for a standard user, but I came to the conclusion that it would be better if the users only use the email output for their purpose. The file output is only used by the admin to deliver reports to different systems.

  • Problem with Result Analysis report (KKAK)

    Hello Experts,
    I am facing problem with T-code KKAK, when I am executing this transaction (Results Analysis (RA) on sales orders creates the data for posting to the GL, depending on the sales order (i.e. WIP or COS) ) system is displaying/calculating for all sales order which are already completed (fully shipped and billed), this report displaying in 300 to 400 pages.
    My requirement is  .. is it possible to display only sales orders which are no completed. This will help alot.
    Please help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks
    Sudheer

    Hi,
    in the selection screen of KKAK in "Output options" there is a flag "display closed items".
    Uncheck this and ensure that all completely processed orders have status closed (CLSD).
    Thus they will not be reported anymore.

    Hi,
    Sorry for not updating the question. We (the tool developers) are aware of the problem and we have fixed it already (internally). However we still have to prepare the proper downloadables for the SDN site and change the content available at SDN.
    About using onother tool - you probably don't need to: one can still use the tool without the NW extensions (just take it from http://www.eclipse.org/mat/).
    The Leak Suspects report is part of the open-source tool (see http://dev.eclipse.org/blogs/memoryanalyzer/2008/05/27/automated-heap-dump-analysis-finding-memory-leaks-with-one-click/).
    Without the NW Extensions one won't see the application names extracted out of classloaders, there will be no suggestions for CSN components, and some other SAP specific queries will be missing. Nevertheless it should be still possible to perform memory analysis.
    I hope this helps to some extent for the moment.

  • Problem with running bitmap report in Oracle 6i

    Hello,
    I am running a report from a form using run_product in client/server enviroment. And I use the same code in all forms that run reports. In test enviroment, everything works normally. But in customer enviroment there is weird behaviour. Some reports need a lot of time to be executed, and when they are finally finished, report previewer is not maximized as it is in test enviroment. And more important problem is that one report doesn't execute at all. Report background engine is started but report doesn't come out at all.
    Here is code which I use to run reports:
    declare
    izvestaj      varchar2(15);
    pListName varchar2(20) := 'parList';
    dt      varchar2(6) := 'Screen';

    pList := get_parameter_list(pListName);
    if not id_null(pList) then
    destroy_parameter_list(pList);
    end if;
    pList := create_parameter_list(pListName);
    if (not id_null(pList)) then
    add_parameter(pList, 'P_PREDUZECE', text_parameter, to_char(:kontrolni.preduzece_id));
    add_parameter(pList, 'P_PRENOS', text_parameter, to_char(:prenos.id));

    add_parameter(pList,'DESTYPE',text_parameter,dt);
    run_product(reports, izvestaj, synchronous, runtime, filesystem, pList, null);

    Hello,
    When you put a block on a "new stacked canvas" that canvas is generated as a popup canvas. If that popup overlaps with some other generated items (for instance: items in master block) Forms will not show it.
    You can try showing that popup canvas programatically with Show_View('canvas_name') in When-New-Form-Instance and see what happens.
    Dalibor
    P.S. Why do you have to put detail block on a popup canvas? Why don't you simply put it on a "same content canvas"?

  • Problem with output from  report to excel, calling the report from form 10g

    Hi everyone, I'm having a problem generating a excel from a report, which is called from a form, I'm using Forms 10g. The problem is this: My report has a variable number of columns. These columns appear according to data obtained from the database, these columns are dates, In vesion 6 excel file generated shows the columns one after another starting in column A1 to column CP. I mean that the dates are correlative. But in version 10g the excel file generated shows the same report starting in column A to column T, only shows the 20 dates correlative corresponding to this columns, the rest of the dates are down the excel sheet in groups of 20 dates, it's something, the file in 6i grows across and in 10g grows down the excel sheet. The report (rdf file) is the same in 6i and 10g, I compiled the 6i version to obtain the 10g version. The excel sheet generated in 10g looks like the report was in pdf format, because PDF format, cuts the report in pages and the file grows down, if I generate the report in PDF format it has the same structure excel file in 10g has. I hope yo can help because I have days trying to solve this but I have no succes. If someone could help I could email the excel files generated in two versions. Here I put the code I use to generate the files in 6i and 10g. I have tried with DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET in 10g but the result is the same. Thanks for your help. Greetings for all.

    There are two problems with your VI.  First, the basic logic of writing/appending to a file (Excel, TDMS, anything) should go something like this:  Open the file, position yourself at the end of the file, then, in the loop, acquire data and write it to the file until you are finished with data acquisition.  When you exit the acquire/write to file loop, then close the file.  In particular, the opening and the closing of the file should not be inside the loop.
    As others have pointed out, writing to Excel might not be optimal, particularly if you are acquiring data at a high rate (and would therefore be writing a lot of data). We actually use Excel in our data acquisition routine, mainly reading from a WorkSheet to get the parameters of a particular stimulus, but also writing the outcome of the response to the stimulus.  As it happens, our "acquisition rate" in this example is on the order of several samples per minute, so there's no problem using Excel (we also sample 16 channels of analog data at 1 KHz -- this gets written as a binary file).
    Second, if you really do want to use Excel, use the (existing) Excel file to which you want to append as the "template" argument of the New Report function.  Then use the Excel Get Last Row function to position yourself at "end of file", as noted above.
    Good Luck.

  • Error with Scheduling a Report to run in SSRS 2000

    Getting the below error when trying to schedule the report to run.
    I can run the report just fine as a stand-alone and not thru the scheduler.
    I have several others that run just fine in the same way.

    Hi Brian,
    Looking at the error, the server is not able to get to the data source. If you are using ODBC, make sure the server machine has access to the file.
    The exception is coming from your ODBC driver.

  • URL problems with SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 with wildcard SSL certificate

    Hi,
    I have single server, domain member, with SQL Server 2012 SP1 Reporting Services.
    I am trying to get work with url: https://reports.mydomain.com
    I have valid wildcard certificate (*.mydomain.com) implemented and configured URLs in Configuration Manager.
    https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer - works fine
    https://reports.3pro.hr/Reports/ - I got error:
    The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
    In rsreportserver.config I have:
    <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="2"/>
    When looking my ReportServerService_date.log file I have something like:
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server internal url https://localhost:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server external url https://serverhostname:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using url root https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server internal url https://localhost:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using report server external url https://serverhostname:443/ReportServer.
    configmanager!DefaultDomain!3f4c!03/10/2013-20:24:34:: i INFO: Using url root https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer.
    Also, error shown in log file:
    appdomainmanager!ReportManager_0-2!4c50!03/10/2013-20:24:53:: e ERROR: Remote certificate error RemoteCertificateNameMismatch encountered for url https://localhost/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx.
    ui!ReportManager_0-2!4c50!03/10/2013-20:24:54:: e ERROR: System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException:
    The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.
    Btw, is there a way to delete/disable access using https://localhost and/or servername (not FQDN) since SSL will not work in this way for me, and I want access only by full url - https://reports.mydomain.com , not localhost ..
    -- Hrvoje Kusulja

    I spent one of my 4 free support incidents with Microsoft (part of MSDN subscription) this year to get this investigated.  The tech support person helped me through several issues but had to leave to attend some training, and I got past the last hurdle
    before she called me back.  Here are the steps that resolved this issue for me.  I know for sure that step 5 was necessary.  Step 1 may not apply to you, and steps 2-4 may or may not have been necessary (they didn't immediately fix the issue,
    but I didn't roll them back either so they may have been necessary.)
    Step 1:
    Ensure you are editing the correct rsreportserver.config file.  I had been making changes to a file that was installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\WebServices\Reporting, but that was a rsreportserver.config
    file for some sharepoint integration that I'm not using.  The correct path on my system was E:\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config, but yours may vary. If you can't figure it out, look in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
    SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Setup in the key named SQLPath, and then go to the ReportServer subdirectory of that path.
    Step 2:
    In rsreportserver.config, ensure that SecureConnectionLevel is set to the value 3.  Was set to 0 in my configuration.  Corrected line in your rsreportserver.confiog file should look like:
    <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="3"/>
    Step 3:
    In rsreportserver.config, add the correct value to the <URLRoot> element (which already exists in the file.)  In my configuration, this value was blank.  The value should be the fully qualified path to your report server, with a hostname that
    is valid for your certificate.  For example, if my cert matches *.mydomain.local:
    <UrlRoot>
    https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
    </UrlRoot>
    Step 4:
    Ensure that your certificate exists in Trusted Root Certification Authorities in certmgr for the local machine.  I had the certificate installed as a Personal certificate for the local machine, which I still think was correct (the certificate wasn't actually
    the problem and worked correctly for Report Server, and the failure was caused by SSRS incorrectly making a https request to a localhost URL), but she had me remove the certificate from Personal and add it to Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.  That
    broke things and the cert was no longer listed as a cert I could bind to, so we then copied it so it existed in both Personal and Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.  This is how I left it, not sure if that was necessary.
    Step 5:
    This was the fix that finally got things to work. In rsreportserver.config, add the same value to the <ReportServerUrl> element (which also already exists in the file) that you added in step 3.  In my configuration, this value was also blank.
    The corrected value should be the same as in step 3, for example:
    <ReportServerUrl>
    https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
    </ReportServerUrl>
    Then restart your report server (stop & then start in Report Server Configuration Manager), and the problem should go away.  At least it did for me.
    Good luck!
