Problem with SDBINST -depend = says...."unknown option"

Hello!
I'll got an "unknown option" for the -depend option when installing the MAXDB database part from sapinst.
MAXDB 7.5 Build 18. On Linux SLES8. Does anyone have any idéa about this?
Where can I check the support and compabillity matris between different media and versions?

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

TV-out problem with a Qosmio G20 - Scart option disappeared

I have a problem with my video board and its driver.
I have got a Qosmio G20 with a Nvidia GeForce Go 6600.
Yesterday when I boot my notebook i have seen that some setting were disappeared.
I have tried to connect the pc with the TV in the way described here: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB4A00TK000MR01.htm
but the option scart in the tv format menu was disappeared and it was disappeared in bios setting too.
I have tried to reinstall the display driver but I haven't solved my problem.
Now i can't connect the pc with tv and this is a very big problem for me.
Please help me if you can.

Maybe the scart cable malfunctions or is wrong?
Some cables have a wrong PIN assignment and therefore the TV connection not functions
In my opinion the cable should be checked
The other reason for the missing PAL scart option in the BIOS could be a wrong DMI setting. But this can be checked only by a ASP.
So try to contact the technician guys and talk to them about the problem of missing PAL scart option in BIOS.

Can't get in the internet (no problems with explorer) it says untitled and when I click on abokkmark it says loadind for about one splitsecond and back to untitled

I cannot open any site with firefox, but have no problems with explorer. on the tabbar ontop it says untitled and when I click on ant bookmarsite or click on a link in an email from outlook, the untitled will change into loading (for only one split second) and right back to untitled.

Problem with cascading dependent LOV query running when it should not

I have a page fragment with a regular ADF form on it that I use to add new entries to a table. This form has many fields on it with LOV’s associated with them. I have dependent LOV’s on some of them. The one case I have is I have three fields A, B, and C. Field C is dependent on A and B. The problem I seem to be having is when I enter a value for field A using it’s LOV, I get an hourglass for a long time after I select it and before it is displayed on the form. If I delete field C from the form the problem goes away. If I change the query behind the view for the LOV for field C to include a rownum < 20 in the where clause the problem goes away. My question is, why would the selection of a value for field A cause the query to fire for field C’s LOV view and how can I stop it. I don’t really want to use the rownum in the where clause.

Answer: The LOV for A is based on a read only non-EO view with a SQL that is not really very complex. The LOV definition does set multiple values when the selection is made to blank out dependent fields in the data model used by the main form.

Answer. The order of things is I open the main form, I click the mag glass to open the LOV popup, I select the row I want and click the OK button. Navigation returns to the main form where I get the hourglass waiting for the selected value to be displayed in the field on the main form.

why are you going to delete the value of c?. At intial stage you can make empty after selecting a and/or b you can load into c.
Answer: I physically deleted field C from the main form to see if that was what was causing the long delay. When I run the main form without field C I do not get the hourglass. That is how I know they are related.

you may set partial trigger to c depends for 'a'.
or else lov 'c' query depends on 'a'
Answer. The query for C's LOV does depend on the value returned when I select a value for A. They are cascading LOV's. Will setting the partial trigger stop the SQL for field C from running? Is the SQL running because I'm blanking out field C when I change the value for field A?
am not sure i understud correctly. can you pictuarize you problem with an example.

Problems with language dependent master data

Hi,
I created a InfoObject with language dependent master data and I am trying to upload data from a flat file.
My flat file has a 2 digit language code (EN,DE,FR,JP,ES) and when uploading the data it seems that SAP BW is only using the first digit which leads to the situation that EN and ES get treated as duplicate records.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
ES is the Language for spanish..But the Flat file should have to represent 'S' for Spanish.
Check in Table T002 for the symbols which represent Languages and that to be used in flat file.

In CP5 - problem with the 'Paste as Background' option

Hi,
Since I have started working with CP5 I am having issues with the 'Paste as Background' option.
After I work with CP5, and use the option few times it disappears from the menu although I have an image copied to my clipboard.
After I close Captivate and re-open it, the option appears again.
Any ideas?

merav, have you run the recent update for CP5? It fixed a lot of issues with the Background issues.
Also, the Paste as background option is not there if you have "Use Master slide background" checked for the slide. It defaults to "on" if you copy slides, for instance.

Problems with Partition pruning using LIST option in 9i

I am declaring the following partitions on a fact table and when
I do an explain plan on the following SELECT statements it is
doing a full table scan on the fact table. However if I use
the "PARTITION" statement in the FROM clause it picks up the
correct partition and runs great. I have used the analyze
command and dbms_utility.analyze_schema command on all tables
and indexes. I had simaliar problems when partitioning with the
RANGE options too. I have looked through all of the INIT file
parameters and don't see anything obvious. Is there something I
am missing?
Any help would be appreciated!

the DB version is 10.2 (italian version, then SET is correct).
...there's something strange: now I can INSERT rows but I can't update them!
I'm using this command string:

I think that is impossible to use a PARTITION/SUBPARTITION like that: in fact the update of "END_VALIDITY_DATE" cause a partition change.
Do u agree or it's possible an update on a field that implies a partition change?

Problem with html:select or html:options tags using struts,jsp and tomcat

I'm updating a Struts-Project to a new layout and therefore rework all jsp Sites.
I'm also using a new Folder-Structure and update therefore my struts-config file.
My Problem now is:
Till now, we had a select-field with a code like this:

The problem now is, that whenever I use any <html:xy> tag, the tomcat server I use can not show the page, he shows just the headers of the template, but not the
content.-jsp-File where the form would be in. He stops right in the middle of the html page, when he notices the <html:xy> tags.
And the funny thing is, that he has no problem to show a page when there is a <html:errors> within it? Why could this be? the struts-html.tld File is well included and teh Tomcat Server shows no exceptions.

Problem with Youtube and Flashplayer : some options are not responding anymore

I have a very strange problem since few days only on Youtube (other famous flashvideo websites are working without problem) I tried many things already without success.
I can still play videos on youtube, excepted the buttons under the player are not responding AT ALL. I can still see them but it's not responding (or for exemple when Im going on the youtube player "Sound" icon the bar volume doesn't appear)
I tried already to uninstall flashplayer and update it to the last version (10...38) but no changes. I have the same problems on all browers (IE; Firefox and Chrome). I also reset all Firefox and IE without success. Reinstall Java. And I have the last drivers for my graphic ard AMD.
Here is a few pics to show my problem :
You can see clearly that the button for resolution doesn't appear at all.

Quite strange also on IE you can see that there is a kind of bar who seems to block me the access to the control of the youtube player icons :

Im on Windows 7 64Bits, but i'm using the 32Bits version of Firefox and IE, I tried also to turn OFF my Avast Antivirus and my firewall. But no changes.
If anyone has an idea, i would really appreciate because even if i can still watch video, i cannot change the audio volume of it and change the resolution or even activate the google subtitles options. The only icons who are responding on the youtube players are the two on the right (to enlarge the screen).

Problems with Skin display and publish options on FrameMaker 12

Customising the FrameMaker output for web help is proving problematic.
1. Here's the first issue - The Online FrameMaker help says the following:
"You can also import WebHelp or compressed WebHelp skins defined in .skn or .zkn files, respectively. To import a skin, click Import and then select the .skn or .zkn file from the file system." (see Adobe FrameMaker 12 * Customizing output specific settings)
However, when importing a skin (publish settings > custom > outputs >navigation > skin selection > import), the Import option only enables a file of type *.skn and not the compressed *.zkn.
2. Second issue - The customised skin is not picked up correctly in the Webhelp output.
To be specific, the required graphic elements have not been copied over from the customised skin. The only way round this is to manually copy over the graphic skin files to the output folder and then refresh the help output. The graphics appear, but unfortunately the skin still does not display 100% correctly.
3. Third issue. To create the customised skin, I had to create a new RoboHelp project and then create a new skin from one of the available skin galleries. Preview and generating the RoboHelp project displays the Skin correctly. Unfortunately, when using in FrameMaker, the skin does not display correctly.
4th issue - inaccurate information in the online help regarding the ISF import options.
The FM online help says the following:
Important: When you import an ISF file, the RoboHelp settings included in the file overwrite the corresponding FrameMaker STS file settings.
To import an ISF file:
In the Publish dialog, click the Settings button and choose Import ISF File.
In the Select ISF File dialog, choose the settings file.
Where's this option? There's no ISF import option on my version of FrameMaker???!!!

In FM, Help > Updates... and configure your Update Application Manager on how often to check and how to handle updates. Or manually go the update page kisted on the main FM Forum Overview pagefor a manually download and install. You have to install the two patches in order to get up to the 12.0.2 version.
