Problem with sending large HTML files as attachment using JavaMail 1.2

Hi dear fellows, i am currently working on posting Emails with attachments using JavaMail 1.2. i succeeded in sending many mimetypes of files as attachments except for .htm and .html files. when large HTML files (say, >100 kB) serve as attachements, the mail is posted on mail server, but not properly posted since only the first small part of the file is writted into mail server but the latter part of the attachment file is missing.
is that a bug of JavaMail??? are there any fellows encountering similar problem as i did??? any suggestions for me to proceed? hopefully i made myself clear...
Many thanks in advance,
Fatty

i've sort of found the cause for that, it is because when the stream write to the mail server, unfortunately there is a "." in a single line. so the server refuse to take any more inputs.
so do i have to remove all the "." in the file manually to avoid this disaster? any suggestions??

  • Problem with parsing large XML files chunked over HTTP

    I'm trying to isolate a bug that was introduced when upgrading the JRE in use from Java 7u51 to 7u71 without changing any code. The problem appears to be very similar to: Bug ID: JDK-8027359 XML parser returns incorrect parsing results.
    Further investigation showed that it was also introduced in the same versions (7u71) where that fix was applied. Unlike that bug though, my XML is marked as version 1.0. It also appears to be with only large XML files, on the order of 10MB or so.
    The closest I've been able to narrow it down to is the code is using JAXB to unmarshall a stream that the debugger tells me is a org.apache.http.com.EofSensorInputStream / org.apache.http.impl.io.ChunkedInputStream. The exception I get is not consistent, but typically appears to be from chunks being overwritten or shuffled, resulting in letters appearing in attributes that are actually numbers, or like the following where an attribute "testAttribute" gets partially overwritten by the end of a timestamp that was in a different section of the XML.
    javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException

      ... 6 more
    Here's some code that seems to reproduce it if you can connect to an XML server that returns a large chunked XML file:
      SchemeRegistry registry = new SchemeRegistry();
      registry.register(
                    new Scheme("http", 80, PlainSocketFactory.getSocketFactory()));
      HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(new BasicClientConnectionManager(registry));
      String url = "http://someUrlReturningAlargeChunkedXML";
      HttpGet method = new HttpGet(url);
      HttpResponse response = client.execute(method);
      InputStream inputStream = response.getEntity().getContent();
      XMLStreamReader responseReader = factory.createXMLStreamReader(inputStream);
      JAXBElement<JaxBObjectOfResponse> wot = unmarshaller.unmarshal(responseReader, JaxBObjectOfResponse.class);
    If you connect using URL.openStream() to the same service there is no error. If I read bytes directly and write to a file, there is no error. The error only happens when I try to unmarshal it, and it's large, and I'm using Java 7u71 (or later). It can be consistently repeated with the jsp webapp that I'm using, but didn't show the error when I used the same code with a Wikipedia dump XML file.
    How can I unmarshal in a different way to avoid this problem? Or, how can I better isolate the bug so it can be posted to the appropriate bug system?

    Apparently, adding the Woodstox XML libraries avoids the bug. Is there anyone who can reproduce this on another system? Was there any changes to the Stax implementation between u67 and u71 that may have introduced a bug like this?
    Edit: When setting the logging level to DEBUG, I once saw the overwritten buffer being logged as if that was what was received (as in the testAttribu00Z example above). I can't repeat that anymore though, and very rarely it does parses with no exception (though it may have still been corrupted). Now the error seems to be consistently on one of the buffer boundaries, as in:

  • Need help: Problems with exported Dreamweaver html file in different browsers

    I'm trying to send out a newsletter, and had our designer create it in Dreamweaver, and then export and html file which we uploaded.  For some reason it looks wrong on Mac's, Gmail, and a few issues with Outlook.  Does anyone know how to help with this, or had to work around this problem in the past?
    I've attached our html file as well.
    We're an eco startup with limited time and budget - so any help you have would be so appreciated.
    Thank you!!

    Palo Alto Joins the Ban Against
             Non-Recyclable Materials
           This Spring, Palo Alto joined the list of more than 30 cities and counties in California who are making good on their efforts toward reducing their greenhouse gas emissions
           by enacting partial or comprehensive bans on polystyrene (PS) foam and/or non-recyclable disposable foodservice containers. Around the same time, a California statewide ban on the use of PS containers was tabled before reaching the State Assembly floor. Representative
           Jerry Hill, one of AB 1358’s sponsors, pulled the bill due
           to concerns addressed in the Appropriations committee hearing of the bill, regarding the fiscal impacts which
           were not addressed in bill’s contents.
           Largely represented by the California Restaurant Association, opponents of AB 1358 lobbied legislative representatives and argued there would be a negative fiscal impact on struggling restaurant owners and their customers in order to accommodate the more expensive alternatives to PS containers.     There are the unquantifiable and “hidden” costs of contaminating our bodies and environment which would far surpass the fiscal impact on the plastics, restaurants and consumer industries. Studies published by the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education have indicated that varying levels of styrene residues
             are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
             United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. On the high end, the levels were “one third of levels known to cause neurotoxic symptoms”. In the environment,
             PS is rarely recycled and does not biodegrade.     Supporting safer alternatives to polystyrene, in addition to the collection infrastructure and processing mechanisms for the compostable and recyclable products would help create more green jobs in the long run and would be a move in the right direction away from unnecessary harm

  • Problem with parsing large xml files

    Hello All,
    I am parsing a large xml file of 20MB and I use DocumentBuilder.parse(File). This method works for small xml files with size less than 20MB but the application hangs and doesn't through any error message when parsing 20MB xml files. Please let me know what I have to do at this point ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar.

    Well... i can't agree.
    If you have such structure:
    <task>
      <task/>
      <task>
         <task>
            <task/>
         </task>
         <task/>
      </task>
    </task>
    ...you may always keep stack of tasks (at startElement push to top, and at endElement pop), so at every leaf of tree you will have all parents of that leaf.
    for such structure:
    <task id="1" parent="0"/>
    <task id="2" parent="1"/>
    <task id="3" parent="1"/>
    <task id="4" parent="2"/>
    <task id="5" parent="3"/>
    ...it will be much faster to go thro document by sax several times to build tree of tasks, than to load all document into memory...

  • Problem with Sender service in File to IDOC scenario

    Hello All,
    Am doing a file to IDOC scenario.
    I have configured the sending system as a party and added a business component, to the BC attached the service interface and also configured the sender Communication channel(CC) as file.
    On the receiving end configured the R/3 system from SLD as the business system and configured the receiver CCl. Can see the R/3 logical system in the Adapter specific identifiers at business system.
    Pushing the file get an error "Unable to convert the sender service  to an ALE Logical System".  But choosing "Take sender from Payload" in the receiver CC is resolving the problem, however the sender partner number remains the same as what I have mapped to the control record in message mapping (which is like hard coding).
    My questions are:
    1. Am I doing the correct config in terms of the scenario. (like using  "Take sender from Payload")
    2. I tried using identifiers at the party level to convert the sending system, but nothing seems to work. But sending system remains the same as the constant from mapping.
    Suggestions would be very much helpful..
    --Prashanth
    PS: Have gone through many blogs and posts on the forums, but may be I did not see the correct thread. Apologies if I am asking this again.

    Hi Prashanth,
    refer the below discussion i think it will solve your problem.

  • How do i send an html file exported from muse as email blast with images and live links?

    My question it:
    How do i send an html file exported from muse as email blast with images and live links?
    I have designed a "website" in adobe muse and exported it as an html file. I am not sure how to send my .html file in an email!
    Best,
    Nicole

    Unfortunately, the answer is, you don't. The requirements for HTML displayed in an e-mail reader are very different than those for HTML displayed in a browser. The output of Muse won't work as an HTML e-mail. You could upload the Muse site as a website and provide a link to it in an e-mail, but the HTML generated by Muse is not suitable for direct display by an e-mail program.

  • Problems with sending attachements.

    Hello I've a problem with sending attachments.
    I've got mail  Version 5.0 (1244.2/1244.3) and Hosted Exchange (xs4all in the Netherlands). Most of my mail works fine (sending and receive mails).
    The most irritating problem is I cannot send messages with a attachement even 1 KB.
    Hope anyone can help?
    Ohter synchronisation Calender & contacts are even not working fine - but a cable will help. So if anyone can help there to, I will be happy.
    Thanks Vanessa

    Im having same problem with BTINTERNET account email, tbh ive had issues with this from the start. keeps going on about yahoo *** is that about... could do with someone verifying settings ive done what all the website says but same issue....attachment is only 11.7mb surely thats not an issue.......anybody know whats going on????

    Hi Ciaran19,
    Are you sending files from the Adobe Send interface, Adobe Reader, or the Outlook plug-in?
    Have you checked to see whether the files that you're sending appear in the Recent Files/Sent Files list when you're logged on to https://cloud.acrobat.com? (It could be that they're uploading, but not being sent.)
    It would also be worthwhile to send the files in smaller batches, to see whether a particular file or files is problematic, and causing the error.
    Please let us know how it goes. If you're still having trouble, please let us know where you're sending from, and whether you're able to send the files in smaller batches. It would also be helpful to know the exact error message that you're receiving.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Mail and iPhoto Problems with sending photos.

    Mail and iPhoto Problems with sending photos.
    I have this problem that started a while ago and seems to be getting worse.
    Here are the different scenarios.
    -If I try to share a photo to email within iPhoto, it will insert the image file name in the mail message, but no image icon or opened image. In iPhoto Preferences under General I have chosen to use Email Photos using Mail.
    -If I choose to use iPhoto to send the photo, it will compose the message and the photo is viewable. If I send the message i can view the photo within the email I sent to myself. Nothing happens when I double click on the photo in the Mail message. Nothing happens when i control click on the photo in the mail message. Nothing happens when I try to drag the photo to the desktop from the mail message. When I try to save attachments from the email and choose a place to save it, the save button is grayed out and it cannot be saved. When I check the mail message it says there is an attachemnt but there is no file size listed.
    -If I use the stationary within Mail app I cannot drag a photo into the placeholder, I get a circle with a line through it symbol when I try. It happens if I try to drag a photo from the desktop or from the media browser within Mail app.
    -If I drag the photo to the desktop from iPhoto, I can double click it on the desktop and it will open in Preview.
    -If I then control click on the same photo on the desktop and scroll to share/email, the generic photo icon will be inserted in the mail message. If i double click the photo icon in the mail message  I get a message it can't be opened because it is empty.
    -If I drag that same image to the mail message body the same thing happens.
    -If I send that email to someone they cannot open the image file.
    What I can do:
    - I can drag that same image file on the desktop to my dropbox folder and  it will upload. From there I can go on my iPad and download the photo and send it through email just fine.
    -I can open the same image file on my desktop in Preview, I can copy and paste it into a mail message and the image will be viewable in the mail message by me and by the recipient.
    -I can drag that same image on the desktop to my safari browser window and it will be viewable in the page. i can then copy and paste that image into a mail message and it is viewable in the message.  I can then send that email message to myself and i can control click on the image and get all my options. It also shows as an attachment with the size of the image file in the mail message.
    I can send that message to someone and they can see the photo and open it fine.
    -If I send that same email to me I can see the photo within the mail.  If I then drag that photo to the desktop I cannot use it again to put in an email as the same problem happens again.
    I have tried all scenarios in my user account, another users account and in a guest account. The same happens in all. I am guessing because of this it is not a corrupt preference file, unless all of the preference files are corrupt. The guest user account I added a new email account so it was brand new and still had the problem.
    I am stumped, all and any help is appreciated.

    Another problem that may be related….
    I have Snapz Pro. I used to be able to save the snaps to my desktop or a folder. Now when I take a screenshot and try to save the file to my desktop or a folder on my desktop I get this message  "Files cannot be created in the selected location. You do not have permission to write to the selected location.   Please choose a different location."  I have found that i can only save the file to the clipboard.   I have repaired permissions many times and still I have this problem.

  • Problem with Append mode in File Receiver

    Hello,
    I am facing some problem with Append Mode in File Receiver.
    In channel config, i have given :
    Construction Mode : Append
    File Type : Text
    Message Protocol : File Content Conversion
    The size of the file which i am trying to send is about 9.5MB.
    I got this error,
    "Recovering from loss of connection to database; message
    loaded into queue by recover job: System Job (Failover Recovery)".
    So, it would seem that there was a loss of connnection to the database
    while the file was being written.
    Note -  XI successfully recovered from the connection loss and
    successfully wrote the file, however since the communication channel
    was set to append, it appended to the partial file that was written
    before the database connection loss. This is not correct. The file
    should have been overwritten after the recovery even though the communication
    channel was configured to append.
    Can anyone help me on this regard.
    Thanks,
    Soorya.

    Hi Venkat,
    I would suggest u to split the file in to chunks if u face any problem in processing at a time in append mode and also
    Memory Requirements are must 4 processing huge files:
    Q: Which memory requirements does the File Adapter have? Is there a restriction on the maximum file size it can process?
    A: The maximum file size that can be processed by the File Adapter depends on a number of factors:
    o The most important one is the size of the Java heap, which is shared among all messages processed at a certain point in time. In order to be able to process larger messages without an out of memory error (OOM), it is recommended to increase the size of the available Java heap and/or to reduce the concurrency in the system so that fewer messages are processed in parallel.
    o Another factor negatively influencing the maximum message size in releases up to and including XI 3.0 SP 13 is an enabled charcter set (encoding) conversion if the message type is set to "Text".
    o Using the transport protocol "File Transfer Protocol (FTP)" also uses more memory for processing than the transport protocol "File System (NFS)" (up to and including XI 3.0 SP 13).
    o If the Message Protocol "File Content Conversion" is used in a File Sender channel, consider that not only the size of the input file affects the File Adapter's memory usage, but even more the size of the XML resulting from the conversion, which is usually a few factors larger than the original plain text file.
    To reduce the memory consumption in this scenario, consider configuring the setting "Maximum Recordsets per Message" for the sender channel. This will cause the input file to be split into multiple smaller mesages.

  • Send local html files to Browser

    I have a Servlet program which can send any HTML files located on the computer which Tomcat is running to client browser. The HTML files are not necessarily in Tomcat's "webapps" folder. My method is quite simple. Read the content of the local HTML file and write it out through HttpServletResponse object. But there is problem that if the HTML file includes images, the images don't appear in client browser. Is there a way to send those images to client browse as well? Thanks in advance.

    Well, this is just an idea, but:
    You would probably have to create a new Servlet, that will identify the image type, set the correct content type (response.setContentType("image/gif") for example). It would have to get a binary InputStream to the image and copy the input to the output stream in the response(use the getOutputStream and not getWriter...)
    In your HTML writing servlet you would have to scan each line for an <img ... > tag parse out the source and replace it with the image servlet.
    Locating the image may be problematic if it is not given in absolute "file://" url. You may need to scan for a <base> tag in the HTML as well, or use the HTML page's directory for the path in which to find the image... but it could come in more complicated then that depending on how complicated the HTML was written (ie, for a server with multiple hosts, or with aliased paths...)
    Or, you might be able to write a filter that looks for images(*.gif *.jpg) and sends the request to your image servlet....

  • Problem with RTPExport output video files

    Hi, I have a problem with RTPExport output video files. One side streams H263/RTP(AVTransmit2.java) and other write this steam to a file by RTPExport.java. When network conditions are ideal, output video file has same fps and same number of frames like original file. Problem occures, when theres packet lost in network, then output file has different fps,and also has less frames like original video(because it didnt write missing frames to file, and thats why it get shorter). Pls how can I achieve output file that will have the same fps like original one? How to write to file an identical copy of what I can see while receiveing video with AVReceive2.java? Its there a way to modifi rtpexport or avreceiver to do this? Thanks a lot!

Okay, first off, the second file is smaller on purpose. RTP intentionally drops packets that are old/out of order in order to make sure real-time video stays as close to real time as it can. This is by design, so there's really nothing that can be done about it.
    How to write to file an identical copy of what I can see while receiveing video with AVReceive2.java? Technically speaking, what you're getting in the RTPExport is exactly what you got on the receiving end. Any frames that are dropped during transmission will not be seen by the receiver, nor saved by the receiver.
    Pls how can I achieve output file that will have the same fps like original one? I'm not 100% sure that you can, but, you can give the following idea a try. I make no guarentees that it'll work, but it should work for you...
    [http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/RTPConnector.html]
    That example is an example of a "custom transport layer" for RTP connections. Essentially, it's some code that's handed the RTP packets on the transmission end, and it's expected to deliver those RTP packets on the other end. And it doesn't care about how they get from A to B, only that they do.
    If you were to replace the UDP socket in that example with a TCP socket, you would be guarenteed not to drop packets due to network reasons. Every RTP packet you were handed by the transmitter, you would then hand to the receiver. There is no guarentee that none of the packets would be cast away as "old" by the RTP protocol itself, but there's also no guarentee any of them would be. It's a crap-shoot at best, but it's certainly worth a try.

  • Problem with Send and Receive Emal In SAP System

    Hi gurus!
    I have a following quote:
    Dear !
    I have a problem with send and receive email in SAP system following :
    I want to test send and receive email in local network at my company. I
    had two server
    Server 1 : I setup Exchange Mail Server 2007 with domain controller is
    fes.com
    Server 2 : I setup SAP ERP ECC 6.0
    On Server 1 : I created 2 account ( u1Afes.com and u2Afes.com ) and then I tested send and receive email between u1 and u2 in local network through Microsoft Outlook 2007 -> OK
    and then
    On Server 2: I had configured send and receive email on SAP system
    through tcode SBWP, SCOT and SOST as Note 455140 - "Configuration of
    e-mail, fax, paging or SMS using SMTP"
    for example :
    I logged in SAP system with user Basis01 (with email u1Afes.com ) -> then,using tcode SBWP -> new message -> send to u2Afes.com with Internet Mail type and then status message with green light -> sending ok
    and then I have used Microsoft Outlook 2007, I logged with account u2 ->check email -> Ok. I saw message which send from u1
    Finally, My problem is how can receive mail in SAP system without using Microsoft Outlook
    For example:
    Login system SAP with Basis01 account (with  u1Afes.com ) -> tcode SBWP ->New Message -> send to u2Afes.com

    Please help me now
    Thanks
    I replace "@" with "A" because of banning email of this forum.
    This quote is about sending email in local network. And we can't receive any email from the outside email address. Addition if I wanna send email to internal email in Internet (we've just tried with email address in local network) What should I config in SAP and Exchange ?
    By the way, Is SAP Server IP added to Relay Agent for sending or receiving mail ?

    Hi,
    This problem is a classic problem of mail routing via Exchange. Exchange like most mail servers use the domain part of the email address as a means to route mails. So I will make an assumption that your main company mail addrss is "User @ fes.com".
    So when you send a mail to the "User @ fes.com mail" address the mail is delivered to your Outlook mail address as this is the default route for company.
    (Q) So how do you get your Exchange server to relay the mail into the sending SAP system?
    (A) The easiest way would be to setup and unique mail domain for your SAP system. I always recommend "user @ client.sid.company.com" which in your case would be "u1 @ 100.PRD.fes.com". You can then instruct Exchange to send any emails addressed to 100.PRD.fes.com domain to your SAP system. Also using this format of address you can configure multiple mail connections into multiple SAP systems.
    (A) Another answer would be to enter the "Full" email address (LOcal and Domain part of address) into the routing rule for Exchange e.g. "U1 @ fes.com" so that all emails addressed to this user will be delivered into SAP. However this method requires a lot of Admin as you will have to update Exchange with ALL email address that need to receive emails. Also if your corporate mail address is "U1 @ fes.com" then all mails will be forwarded to SAP.
    I would definitely NOT recommend this method but the decision is up to you.
    P.S. The IP address of the SAP system is entered into the mail header of the email. This is standard practice in SMTP relay. You can suppress this header in Exchange
    Hope this helps

  • Problem with Preview and PSD files - random gray square

    Hi guys, hope you can help...
    I've got a problem with Preview and PSD files.
    If I open in Preview both an original jpg straight from my reflex and the photoshop version of the same picture, the psd file presents a gray square (of what it seems unrendered image) in a random area of the photo (sometimes in the center.). The square is quite big...
    If I zoom in or zoom out it disappears...if I scroll to another photo and then back to the psd, the square it's there again...sometimes in a different position.
    I've tried the same psd on my older iMac with leopard...and got no problem at all.
    I suspect it got something to do with my Ati...
    (this is the second iMac 27...the first went back for gray banding on the lcd screen and flickering and yellow tinge........)
    Thanks for your help.
    DAve.

    maybe I'm onto something...
    I've just found out that opening Preview in 32bit mode (instead of default 64bit) works flawlessly with any psd files. If I switch back to 64bit mode, Preview is much faster but the gray square comes back...
    It seems like the i7 is much faster than the Ati....
    Any more realistic ideas?
