Problem with SET/GET Parameter id

Hi Folks,
I have two programs.
First is ztest_j which is as follows :
DATA : mem TYPE char10 VALUE 'id1'.
set parameter id 'PARA_XXX' field mem.
Second is ztest_j1 which is as follows :
DATA : mem TYPE char10 .
get PARAMETER ID 'PARA_XXX' FIELD mem.
WRITE : / 'mem from get ', mem.
When i execute both in sequence, I m not getting value of Parameter id in seconds program.
What is wrong ? kindly suggest.

No Need to maintiain paramter ID in TPARA Table.
I have created two program with same Para ID = PARA_XXX its working fine .
Please check following code =
Program 1) =>
DATA : mem TYPE char10 VALUE 'San'.
set parameter id 'PARA_XXX' field mem.
Press on Excute Button.
Program 2) =>
DATA : mem TYPE char10 .
get PARAMETER ID 'PARA_XXX' FIELD mem.
WRITE : / 'mem from get= ', mem.
Press On Excute Button
O/p => San
Please check system settings with BASIS Team.

Problem with SET GET parameters

Hi all,
I am facing a problem using SET and GET parameters.
There is a Z transaction(Dialog program) where some fields of screen are having parameter ID's. That transaction is designed to diaplay/change status of only one inspection lot at a time.
Now I need to call that transaction in a loop using BDC. I mean i need to update the status of multiple inspection lots(one after the other). Before calling the transaction I am using
SET PARAMETER ID 'QLS' FIELD lv_prueflos.
Unfortunately the transaction is only changing the first inspection lot. When I debugged I found that the screen field is changing in PAI. Even though in PBO it shows the next value, when it goes to PAI it is automatically changing to the first value(inspection lot).
Example: Inspection Lots : 4100000234
4100000235
4100000236
Now first time when the call transaction is being made the status of insp lot 4100000234 is changed. For the second time when insp lot 4100000235 is being passed in PBO ican see this. But the moment it enters PAI the screen field changes to 4100000234.
Could you pls help me in solving this issue.

Hi,
I am trying to Set/Get Volume level of Input device which has only single channel but no master channel, then it fails to retrieve the kAudioDevicePropertyPreferredChannelsForStereo and intermittently kAudioDevicePropertyVolumeScalar for each channel. But this works well for Output device.
So is there any difference in setting/getting the volume of input channels?

That works but the the game will not be in full screen, it will have an empty strip at the bottom.
I actually found out what's the problem. I traced the stageWidth and stageHeight during resizing event. I found out that when it first resized, the stage width and height were the size with the notification bar. So when I pass the stage into startling, myStarling = new Starling(Game,stage), the stage is in the wrong size. For some reason, I can only get the correct stage width and height after the third resizing event.
So now I need to restart Starling everytime a resizing event happened. It gives me the right result but I am not sure it is a good idea to do that.

Problem with set/get attribs in HttpSessions

I'm collecting data attributes from an LDAP server and storing them in the individual session. The string containing the attribute name is comprised of 3 elements concatenated together: the servet name, the literal "selectID" and a 4 digit sequence number converted to a string using the valueOf method. The session will contain 10 or more of these uniquely name session attributes. But, when I later attempt to retrieve them, every call to getAttribute retrieves the same data element, the last one stored. I have verified that I am using unique attribute names, yet mu servlet behaves as if its always over-writing the same attribute. Are there any sutble "gotchas" I need to allow for???

But I did finally discover my error, staring at me right in the face and me with a sheepish grin -- a dumb newbie error, and at my age :-) The object in question is a 7 element String array and I was declaring it outside the for loop reading the enumerations. So I was simply storing the exact same object on each iteration and so naturally, each getAttribute retrieved the exact same object under a different name. Moved the new String[7] declaration to within the scope of the loop, and works jusr like it should. I think I'll go and hide now.

i'm trying to assign and object i've got to the ServletContext by :
getServletContext().setAttribute("theairwaybill",theairwaybill);
and i''ve checked and it's there.
now, trying to get the object back in my jsp page by:
theairwaybill = (Shipments.Awb)getServletContext().getAttribute("theairwaybill");
and i know i've got the object by comparing both my local object's address and the one from the ServletContext() but the values of the variables are null and zeros from unknown reason...?
what can be reason?

I am using set get parameter to transfer data from one module to another .
But when i am trying to clear the memory id using Free memory id .
it is not doing that.
Does it work with import export.
What method i should use to clear this memory id ..

I am using SET/GET Parameter.
All is working fine but no entery is created in table TPARA for this ID beacuse of this i am not able to use DELETE FROM MEMORY ID 'ZID' .It always returns 4 since there is no entry in table TPARA.
Why there is no entery created in TPARA and how can i delete this ID from SAP memory?

Entry in TPARA automatically gets created when you assign PID to data element.
Check if ZID is assigned to any data element.
To clear the content of PID from memory use SET PARAMETER statement with empty field.
DATA lv_blank type char10 .
CLEAR lv_blank.
SET PARAMETER ID ZID FIELD lv_blank.

SUBMIT program VIA JOB and SET/GET parameter

Hi All
I need to pass the content of a variable from the program 'A' to program 'B'.
Program A uses JOB_OPEN , SUBMIT program VIA JOB jobname NUMBER jobnumber AND return, JOB_CLOSE.
I tried to use import/export memory but it didn't work. Then I am trying to use set/get parameters but it also did not work.
Program A is going to run in any server and program B will run in the central instance (it is determined in the FM JOB_CLOSE, parameter target_server).
Program does not have selection-screen.
Is it possible use set/get parameter with submit via job?
Could you please advise?

Button in Bex Analyser 7.0 - problem with setting up Static Parameters

I know a similar problem has been discussed here already, but I am still having problems with setting up Static Parameters of my Button in BEx Analyser 7.0, so that I can pass Variable values from that button to my query.
This is what I do - in Static Parameters of my Button I set the following values:

VAR_NAME                 0               0RMA_FIP
VAR_VALUE               0               004/2010
As a result, I would like the value 004/2010 to be passed to variable 0RMA_FIP (which is mandatory) and the query to be executed with that value. For some reason, however, the value is not passed correctly, and instead the variable is filled with a blank or not filled at all, and I am getting a message "Specifiy value for variable Fiscal year/period". What do I do wrong?
Just to give you a broader picture - I would like to later use this logic to pass more than one variables into a query, including a hierarchy node, and read the values from an Excel worksheet - however, after many attempts to do so, I started playing with just one variable to figure out what the problem was.
I have already seen the following two threads and SAP notes on passing variable values from the button:

I managed to figure it out myself!
Instead of VAR_VALUE I need to enter VAR_VALUE_EXT, and it works fine.

Problems with setting up my ISP's mail server in Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird

The laptop is a G60-535DX with Windows 7 64 bit. I've managed to setup my gmail account fine in Live Mail, but when setting up my ISP' mail server, it doesn't work. I get the message that the information was entered correctly, and I see the 'connecting' at the bottom of the page, and then 'error', and clicking on it shows a socket error #10061. In Thunderbird, I get a timeout error message. I've entered all the incoming and outgoing server information correctly, (I've done this over 8-9 times now), the ports are the defaults(110,25), no SSL, no authentication. I've talked with my ISP several times. Just a couple of hours ago was the last time. Their only other possibilities were that Live Mail had problems with setting up more than one account, that Live Mail needed updating, that Windows 7 was a new operating system and there were 'kinks'. I removed the gmail account, set up the ISP's mail by itself; didn't help. I checked for Live Mail updates, but found out that they all come from Windows updates(which are current). The folks on PCQ&A inform me that they have 3 or 4 accounts with Live Mail. I can get my mail, by logging onto my ISP's website, but that' kind of a nuisance. I posted this in Seven Forums and they didn't have any ideas. As I said, I also can't get my mail server to work in Thunderbird, either. I don't know what else to try. (short of activating the recovery partition and starting from scratch). Any ideas would be more that welcome.

Problem with not getting Internet Connect on AirPort Express (version7.6.4). Error says cannot get valid IP address. Have reset Siemens SpeedStream 4100 several time, even with tech support from the big "A" DSL provider. Plug MacBook Pro directly into modem and works fine. Unplugged AirPort, even reset it, still no luck. A bad Express?? or am not looking in the right place to make connection. Was working fine up until Sunday.

Connect the AirPort Express (AX) to the cable modem via Ethernet cable.
In configuring the AX using AirPort Utility:
Under Internet, set the connection to be Ethernet using DHCP.
Under Connection Sharing, set it to distribute a range of IP addresses.
Under AirPort>Wireless, set the Wireless Mode to Create a wireless network, and fill in the remaining settings in the same window. Until you get it working, you might want to set Wireless Security to None.

Same problem here with and I've done everything shy of a total reset which I also find unacceptable. This problem exists on all iMessage platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) so I don't see how restoring my iPhone would help the problem.

I've got problem with setting Source Level to 1.5 in Sun Studio 2. When I try to set it to 1.5 in Project properties and click Ok everything seem to go well, but when I open Project Properties again Source Level is set to 1.4. When I set the date to 1 Jan 1950 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds,
jdk1.4.2 will always return me 1 Jan 1950 0 hours 10 minutes 0 seconds.
