Problem with signing AIR application on Mac
I have a Code Signing key from Comodo as a P7s file which has been imported into Keychain Access on my Mac.
Keychain Access lets me export the key to a P12 file but does not give me the option to export the key with the entire chain intact.
I can successfully identify the exported key but then when I try to export a release build I get the error:
Error creating AIR file: Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer.
Any suggestions on how to overcome this issue?
TIA
David Anson
I think someone in the AIR forums will have a higher probability of knowing how to do this using Keychain:

Problem with an AIR application on OS X 10.8
Hello everyone,
Let me start with a small explanation of what I am and what I do:
I am currently working under the alter ego named "Boompje" to provide roughly 100.000 people a working Mac client for a major online game (named League of Legends). The lobby room (named PvP.net) of this game runs natively through Adobe AIR.
The problem can be described as following:
On both OS X 10.6 and 10.7 there are zero issues with the PvP.net app. However, on 10.8 (released today) it is impossible to use this PvP.net app. It is abled to launch, but as soon as it needs to connect to servers, it errors out.
The only error message that appears is:
TypeError: Error #1034
Opened log file:
/Users/xxxxxxxxxxxx/Desktop/iLoL Open Beta 1.1.app/Contents/Resources/PvP.net.app/Contents/Resources/logs/LolClient.20120725.215638. log
Module configurations loaded.
We have tried to replace the AIR framework with all 3.x versions, but that is to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll check this post a few times a day, any specific input will be provided if asked.
With kind regards,
Koen Hendrix // BoompjeThanks Koen,
For reference, our internal bug number is 3223005. We believe we have an idea what's going on with your rtmps and we're working with Apple to resolve the problem. We'll update the public bug when we have additional info, but feel free to ping this thread or me directly ([email protected]) for updates.
Marcus, I suspect you're running into a different problem. Could you add yours to bugbase.adobe.com too?
Thanks,

Helloo! I have super big problem with my Air.
Helloo! I have super big problem with my Air,10.8.5 ,it asks every 10 sec to make some changes and asks me for password all the time!! I cant acces my documesnt, pics, music,NOTHING at all! Finder is not working,i cant open any folder, icons are missing also,i cant open any of them,mozzila,chrome..im really going crazy.. i updated tonight my phone on new IOS 7 through my comp, cant be that i messed up everything because of that..this comp.is like 10 days old.
btw. i created new user, and everything is working ok.Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line on this page to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
{ sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar. -
Problem with sign in Skype.
Hey, just have a problem with signing into my Skype account.
When I try to sign in, its works for 10 seconds and after that signed out automatically (with message: You have been signed out). I tried to reinstall it and restart laptop, but nothing changed. Also changed password via skype official site...nothing(
What else can I do, to make it works?
Mac OS version 10.9.4 and skype version Version 6.19 (450).
Thanks in advance)This is the Resolution for this issue:
1. End all the Skype process from Task manager
2. Delete the Skype folder from %appdata% and %temp%
3. Go to Program Data> Run> type C:\programData
4. Delete the Skype folder from Program Data.
5. Re-launch skype and try again.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with Importing Pictures onto my Mac mini with Lion installed by using a Card Reader,
What is the problem here so I can get Pictures onto my Computer. ,Hi Noob Søren
There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.
Hope this helps

Problem with Adobe AIR 2.7, cannot run any apps anymore
http://english.sandrostudio.com/a-strange-problem-with-adobe-air.html
Above is the error I get: This application requires a version of Adobe AIr which cannot be found. Please download the latest version of the runtime from http://www.adobe.com/go/getair or contact the application author for an updated version"
I could run Adobe AIR previously without any problem. i checked for a solution online, in this forum, It seems it's a problem not so uncommon. I receive the same error when trying to uninstall Adobe AIR (?!). So I am basically stuck. Any help here? Any advice? Is there an upcoming new version of the installer?
I need Adobe air for many important applications I use.
Thanks!Oh, sorry, I find many of those files but the latest is this one:

I am having a problem with signed jar and deploy in html
get this error on the page
self signed
/dist/testfx.html
JavaFX application could not launch due to system configuration. See java.com/javafx for troubleshooting information.Unsigned jar works perfectly but has security and permission issues when using classes.
This was working in beta 45Can you post an example project that demonstrates the problem? There were changes to the ant tasks and netbeans support around B45 that could cause problems depending on which version of the SDK and NetBeans you have. Similarly, if you wrote ant scripts prior to B44 and then use them with a later build you could have problems. And of course, if you're producing the Jar file and deployment artifacts without using the provided ant tasks (for example, using the normal ant jar task) you'll have problems.
I've verified that this works as expected in the FX 2.0 GA release using ant from the command line, and with the NetBeans 7.1 beta release using the FX 2.0 GA release. -
Problems with Photoshop cs4 for the Mac
I am having all kinds of problems with Photoshop CS4 for the Mac. When I boot the software it seems to work for a while then, I am unable to open upf a file in Photoshop. I drag a photoshop file over the application icon, the whole screen flickers and nothing happens. I am unable to quit Photoshop as the quit choice is grayed out and command-q will not make it quit. I have to force quit. I can repeat this pattern over and over. What is happening? How do I solve this problem?
--KenoliThanks for the reply. I am using Photoshop 11.0.1. I am using the latest version of Snow Leopard. I have found both Photoshop and Dreamweaver to be pretty buggy for several versions now. My suspicions were that they were really engineered for Windows and never really fully implemented for the Mac. Dreamweaver crashes or hangs on me three or four times a day if I us it all day and does various annoying things like refusing to respond to the delete key after I have used it for a while. I have pretty much stopped using it to some degree for that reason and also because there is other software that does a lot of coding things I do much more directly and simply. Also Dreamweaver always seems to struggle to quit when I tell it to quit (that is, it takes a long time and gets hung up at places before it quits) and once it does quit, I always get a message saying that it has unexpectedly quit (even when I have told it to quit).
The problems with Photoshop (starting with just taking a long time to load) have escalated to the point I described today, which makes it almost unusable. I just reinstalled Snow Leopard to see if there was anything buggy in the system software. I will report if problems go away.
Regarding both the refusal to open image files and the grayed out quit command, made me think something like you, i.e. there was some dialogue box open somewhere. However, I couldn't find anything and I don't use two monitors.
So . . . Adobe just seems to be getting more expensive and more buggy.
Incidentally, why is it still running in Rosetta rather than natively? Adobe now has a real Intel processor to work with.

I am having problems with the Preview application. When I try to use it to open a pdf document it gets hung-up and I have to select force quit to close it. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem? Thanks for any help
Can you open the Preview program without loading a file, like by itself?
If it doesn't load then I suspect a corrupt Preview preference file.
Deleting the System Preference or other .plist file
Can you open other files with Preview, like jpg's and images?
How about other PDFs? or is it just that one you have downloaded?

Hello, having a problem with Logic 9 on a Mac Pro.Working on a lenghty song and apparently session got corrupted.Doesnt let me export tracks, program crashes.Already tried start brand new session with the tracks imported into it but still wont export.Suggestions?
Thanks, Ian. Yeah, that's how I do it now...or with the controls in the left side pane. Still, I would have liked that quick on-the-spot edit capability...especially while sketching.
Ian Turner wrote:
Sorry Mark, you are out of luck as it does not do that - it works the same as L8. The way I would achieve that with more accuracy and control would be to route all the tracks you want to fade to a Bus then use volume automation on the bus. To do this you will need to add a standard audio track, then re-assign it using (Control Click on the track header) to the Bus track. You can then automate volume/plugins etc on the Bus track.

Problems with 3D graph application redistribution
Hello wireworkers,
i wonder if
someone encountered problems with distribution of application that
uses 3D graph objects. I've created application that uses NI 3D graph
component and created installer with "Enable 3D graph support"
check box enabled. However after installing this application on the
windows machine without Labview two problems appeared: 1) "Error
loading control. A newer version needed. The default settings for the
control will be used." and after it 2) "You have 30 days to
evaluate the Measurement Studio ActivX control..." and something
like that. I don't get it. Why some newer version is required? and
what with that evaluation period?
Have any hints???
Thank you in advance and Merry
Christmas to everyone.

Picture processing made easyHi Alex,
I tried the process you described on my machine using LabVIEW 7.1 and could not reproduce the behavior. If you can clarify the version you were using that will be helpful. I will have to clean a test machine and try it again without LabVIEW installed, and get back with you if the problem appears. In the meanwhile, I found the following KB which, while not referring to the exact same problem you are describing, does address the evaluation message issue. You can try to follow the steps at the end of the KB, and let me know if that worked.
