Problem with Spin control in query pane

I have a problem with the Spin controller (increment /decrement) in the query pane.
It is not working for fields with decimals, but working properly for fields which do not have decimals.
How to overcome this problem?

Can you help me to reproduce the issue(Do you have any simple application illustrating the issue)? It works in the sample I tried

Problem with Table control lines

Hi Friends,
This is the problem with table control lines:
I have screen with table control and I would like change the table control lines dynamicaly.
Exp:
In my PBO the Internal table which I am using to loop the TC is havig 7 records and its displayed with 7 records, now I have added one more record into my ITAB and now ITAB is having 8 records, when I am looping this ITAB with TC its taking the TC lines 7 only.
here is the code:
Initial values in gt_scr400 = 8
Initial values in tc_scr400 = 8
Now added one more recor into gt_scr400 , now gt_scr400 = 9.
LOOP AT   gt_scr400
       INTO wa_scr400
       WITH CONTROL tc_scr400
       CURSOR tc_scr400-current_line.
ENDLOOP.
I have used this logic :
DESCRIBE TABLE gt_scr400 LINES g_rec_300 .
tc_scr300-lines = g_rec_300.
but its not modifying the lines in my table control.
How to change the TC lines based on ITAB total records.

there is a field in TableViewName-xxx
don't remember the exact field name for (total no of records)
you can check it in debug. when you add records in Internal table, u need to modify this field which is set at the first time when table control is populated.

Keyboard problem with T410 - Control Key

I have a problem with the control keys on the keyboard of T410.
I swapped my X200 keyboard over to T410 to check if it is software or hardware issues. With the X200 keyboard, the 'Ctrl' key is not working. With the T410 keyboard, 'e', 'd', 'c' and 'Ctrl' keys are not working.

I believe that X200 and T410 keyboards are mapped differently in BIOS.
Can you find another T410/T510 keyboard to test with?

URGENT ! JDEV 10.1.2 Problem with data control generated from session bean

I got a problem with data control generated from session bean which return a collection of data transfer object.
The dto's seem to be correct. The session bean load correctly the data into and the object's are plenty of data. Using the console to display the dto content is ok.
When generating a data control from this session bean and associate the dto included in the collection only the first object level and one-to-one dto object are correctly setted in the data control. Object that represent collection into the dto (one-to-many foreign key) are setted as collection with an iterator but the structure of the object is not setted. I don't know how to associate this second level of collection with the dto bean class to obtain the attributes definition.
I created a case with hr schema like the hrApp demo application in the tutorial with departments and employees table. I got the same problem.
Is it a bug ?
It exists a workaround to force the data control to understand the collection data structure ?

As the others have said, the execution plan will give you a better idea about which is faster.
If you're trying to see how using (or not using) a sub-query affects performance, make the rest of the queries as similar as possible. For example, include field3 in both queries, or ignore field3 in both queries.
In this particular case, I guess the optimizer would do the same thing either way, but that's just a guess. I can't see your execution plans.
In general, simpler code is faster, and better in other ways, too. In this case
tableB
is simpler than
(SELECT field1, field2 FROM tableB)
Why do you want a sub-query in this example?

Problem with custom control and focus

I've a problem with the focus in a custom control that contains a TextField and some custom nodes.
If i create a form with some of these custom controls i'm not able to navigate through these fields by using the TAB key.
I've implemented a KeyEvent listener on the custom control and was able to grab the focus and forward it to the embedded TextField by calling requestFocus() on the TextField but the problem is that the TextField won't get rid of the focus anymore. Means if i press TAB the first embedded TextField will get the focus, after pressing TAB again the embedded TextField in the next custom control will get the focus AND the former focused TextField still got the focus!?
So i'm not able to remove the focus from an embeded TextField.
Any idea how to do this ?

Help with Spin Control

I didn't know where to post this, so I thought I'd give it a go in this forum.
I'm running an XCode program called Spin Control in the back-ground, while running another program to see where the problem lies with a hang. The thing is, I don't know how to save the Spin Control file.
Any one have a clue?

I can't really tell what the VI is doing that you attached, but here is what I would suggest -- you could either implement a PID type algorithm similar to the example I pointed you to, or it sounds like in your case you only need to do things at a fairly slow rate and you also want some delays, so you may want to implement a simple state machine architecture. There are LabVIEW shipping examples that demonstrate the state machine architecture.

Problem with parameter and sql query

I've a problem with te query of my report. The query is:

where cardno in ({?cardNo})
the parameter as multiple values checked so I can query for more than one card.
If i put just one parameter everything works fine but when I put 2 or more I have his error

Yes, because your parameter is only looking for one card.

Will you only be creating querys on two cards or less ?
Are you trying to create an Array?
If two or less you could
where cardno = ({?cardNo}) or cardno = ({?cardNo2})

In SQL DEVELOPER it works fine. But in APEX - when I try to save my "SELECT LIST" - it falls with error - "If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query."
How can I reassemble my query to fix this problem - I have no idea... :(

You may create a pipelined function returning two values, display and return, to return
the result from your query. After that, your LOV should work. See example here:

Problems with remote control and user accounts - error 1759?

We're running:
-XP Pro SP2 clients with Zen SP1 IR3a agent, 4.91 SP2 Netware client.
-We are NOT running Middle Tier.
-Novell servers are running Netware 6.5 SP7, E-directory 8.7.3.10b or 8.8.
-Zen server is also SP1 IR3a.
We have no problem using remote control on workstation objects. We are having intermittent issues with remote controlling user objects. When the issue occurs, we receive the following error, "Error 1759: The selected user is not logged in on any workstations" even though the user is in fact logged in. After some more research, it appears that the "networkAddress" attribute of the user object is blank so we feel that this is the root cause. My question is what would cause the networkAddress attribute to randomly not update? For instance we had a user (verified his login) who we could not remote via the user object (workstation object worked). We checked his networkAddress attribute and found that it was empty. User rebooted and logged in again and his networkAddress attribute populated, and then we could remote control him via the user object. Now this isn't always the case after a reboot. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to when the networkAddress attribute does or does not update. In fact, this particular user has a laptop so he boots it up fresh every morning yet he was not showing a network address when he logged in initially today.
We've followed the troubleshooting steps in Novell Documentation without any success. Is there anything else that we might be missing, especially with respect to getting the networkAddress attribute to update? We ran a DSreport on that attribute and found about 500 out of a total of 1500 users had no networkAddress. Some of those are sure to be legitimate but that number is much too high for the number of people that should be in the office.
I've read some older threads on the subject but none of them really provide a firm solution. Also most of the older threads reference Middle Tier which we are not using.

Thanks but, I had already done this. I was having THAT problem with Encore (could not even initialize before tanking) when I first installed it and that's when I updated the Roxio engine. I don't know what else there is to update or correct at this point.
There was one thing that occurred to me: When I was using XP, I had to disable Open GL in order to get Encore to stabilize. I've heard one recommendation for Encore that one must disable graphics acceleration. I would like try that here except I can't figure out how to do that in Windows 7.
I've been Googling "Windows 7 Disable Graphics Accel" and have come up with nothing useful.

While its executing its taking lot of time. With DBMS_PROFILER identified the queries taking long time.
The table is having approximately 70 million rows.
Problem -1
select * from table_name order by col1;
select distinct col1,col2 from table_name;
Here i am having 2 solutions request to let me know whether i am right if not suggest me right solution.
Solution1:
Max parallel servers is 8.
select /* + parallel(table_name,8) */ * from table_name order by col1;
select /* + parallel(table_name,8) */ distinct col1, col2 from table_name ;
Solution-2:
select /* + first_rows */ * from table_name order by col1;
select /* + first_rows */ distinct col1, col2 from table_name ;

I am having a query with where condition on columns.

Index created on col1 and col2.
As we no that not equal won't use index as it is a composite index it should use the lead column. but its not using the index.
Should i forcibly use index with hint or suggest me better solution.
Any help really appreciated.
