Problem with syncing apps in iTunes

Hello Apple Support Communities
I have recently synced my iPod, and I saw that the 'Sync Apps' option was unchecked.
I checked it, and I synced my iPod, and it said to authorise my Apple ID.
After I authorised my Apple ID, it said that it is already authorised and when I click OK, it says the same message.
Any way I can solve this problem?
Screenshot:

hi clicked apply got pop up message saying it couldnt  transfer bbc or itv player , then i clicked apply got message  in bar beside apple sign saying it was determining which apps to sync then it appears as if it has done the sync/transfer The apps that where on my phone before  i reformatted my computers hard drive still show up on the phone but the new apps i downloaded after i reformatted my hard drive and authorised the new computer these new apps show up in itunes library and  they show  up  when i tick and select them then click apply and sync and it seems to go through the process but they still dont appear on the phone help please

first you plug your device into your computer, then you select the name of your device on the left side of itunes. then you select 'apps' from the top center of the itunes window, and you check the apps that you want to go from the computer to the device
once you've done that, you press the 'apply' button in the lower right corner
this will be the same for anything you want to go from the computer to the device
you'll select the appropriate tab at the top, then only check information you want to go from the computer the device and then hit 'apply'

  • Problems with syncing apps

Recently my computer crashed so I restored it to its original state. Now, when i try to sync my iPhone the apps don't sync. On the App page in iTunes there are no apps listed on the left side of the screen and the screenshot of my iPhone is somewhat grayed out so I can't move apps around and i can't even select a different page to view.
The check box by Sync Apps above where the list of apps should be is unchecked. If i check the box it says that the apps from the computer will overwrite the apps on my phone and since there are no apps on the computer it appears like it will delete everything except the original iPhone apps. All the homescreens (on the screenshot on the right side) go blank - as though everything will be deleted - except for the original apps.
Where are the apps supposed to be backed up on the computer? I thought I used to have a fairly easy way to access the folder where the apps are synced to but i can't remember how to get to them. In my iTunes library there is a folder called Mobile Applications where all my apps are stored (since my last sync before my computer crashed) but they don't show up in my apps list in iTunes. Is there some way to make them show up or are they stored in the correct folder?
Or, if I set the check box to Sync Apps will that copy my apps from my iPhone to my computer that aren't saved on my computer AS WELL as overwriting ones that are on my computer (which is none as far as iTunes is concerned) onto my iPhone? There are a few paid apps that i have deleted from my iPhone but are backed up on my computer. How can I get them back since it doesn't seem to be syncing properly and iTunes isn't recognizing the folder that they are in?
I just don't want to end up having most of my apps deleted and can't get them back so before i go any further I would like some input on this.

All 3rd party apps on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer, which is the same for all iTunes content on your iPhone. Your iTunes library on your computer - the iTunes named folder in your Music folder should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data on your computer's hard drive. The iPhone is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device or as an external drive for transferring data from one computer to another.
Did you lose all important data on your computer's hard drive due to this crash, or your iTunes library only?
The sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only - from your iTunes library on your computer to your iPhone, and the same for photos transferred from your computer.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
After restoring your computer to its original state, your computer is detected as a new or different computer. This would not be a problem if you maintained a backup for all important data on your computer which should include your iTunes library stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

  • Problems with Syncing Apps on iPhone 4s

Since I migrated to iPhone4S, I am having problems with my syncing of Apps. All the new Apps I buy, do not get automatically transferred to my iPhone. Further, I am also not able to go to the APPS section of iTunes and change any configuration since complete page is greyed out and I am not able to access it. Does anyone out there a suitable solution for this issue? Would appreciate if someone can help me with this problem.

I have a Black 4S and it has the exact same problem - using flash means pictures in fog - totally unusable. Like you, I removed the case, checked the lens, everything. I have no idea why this happens but it makes flash photograph totally useless. I think I will see if Apple would care to make good a guarantee on it's apparently defective phone camera.

  • Problems with syncing iPhone to iTunes - please assist

I recently bought a new laptop & downloaded iTunes - when I try to sync my iPhone 4S I get an error message stating "the iPhone ____ couldn't be synced as the sync session failed to start". Has anyone else faced this problem? How do I resolve it? Grateful for any tips. #

    Hello there, kd.arunkumar.
I would recommend closing all open applications in multitasking, power cycling the device and restarting iTunes. The following Knowledge Base articles outline how to do these steps:
iOS: Force an app to close.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    and
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Then restart iTunes on your computer.
Once you have processed these steps, attempt to sync again.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Problems with syncing interface in ITunes 10

I just downloaded ITunes 10, and now the syncing interface will not appear for my IPod Nano (3rd generation).  How do I fix this??

    Hey all,
I just bought myself a new pc with windows7 64bit. After installing the new Itunes10 i connected my Ipad to my pc. W7 recognised the device, but it seems Itunes doesn't show my Ipad. I reinstalled Itunes, but this didn't help the problem. I also tried connecting my Ipad to every usb port that was on my pc, but none seemed to work so to show my Ipad in Itunes. This is very strange, cause on my old pc with w7 32bit and Itunes9 it showed my Ipad perfectly. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Problems with Syncing Photos between ITunes and iPad

    Dear Mac Users,
    1. I have been syncing Ipad and my MacBook Pro using I Tunes a lot.
    2. My storage habits are Standard so all files are imported using iTunes and all in Pictures Folder, important using ITunes.
    3. Recently i add new Photo event to sync, it does optimization shows me total number of files, start copying and then stops and here is a message comes up:
''The IPad cannot be synced. The required file can not be found"
4.Files are there , I see them both on IPhoto and on Disk.
Can you help with resolving this issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Alkhas

I assume it is a POP account. Each individual device should have the setting for what to do with an email when it's (automatically) downloaded: in Mail it's in Preferences>Accounts>Advanced:
If it's not checked, mail will be left on the server indefinitely. If it's checked and the drop-down menu set to remove mail immediately that's what will happen; or you have a choice of how long before it's removed. The removal takes place when you check mail, I don't know whether iOS devices have the same setting or where it is.
You can see that if it's set differently on different devices you may get confusing results. I would suggest setting to one month on all devices, if you can, so that each has a chance to access the emails.
Just to prevent confusion: iCloud email does not work like this.

  • Problems with syncing music on iTunes

I connected my iPhone to computer and the space left bar on the summary tab on the interface for it in iTunes is just showing all of the data is 'other'. No music or videos are showing up on my iPhone either although before i connected it they did, on iTunes no music or video is showing up when i click on the options in the drop down menus. No other data appears to have been lost as i still have all my apps that I have downloaded on there. Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on hwta caused this or any solutions to this problem? Any help would be appreciated

I'm having exactly the same problem- have tried uninstalling my apps, and manually synching things, but can't work out what 'other'things I have that are filling up my memory!

  • Having problems with syncing iPad from iTunes

I am trying to sync a playlist from my itunes to my ipad but every time i do, it won't upload onto my ipad. It actually takes music off. I don't know if i need to restore the ipad and resync the whole thing or if there is a way i can just get it to resync my music. When I go to the tab of "on this ipad" this is what i get I understand that the cirlces on the left of the songs are the songs that aren't available on my ipad but how to i re upload them??? every time i try to sync nothing happens at step 6 other then "waiting for changes to be made" and it finishes. i haven't seen any songs go onto my ipad. and everything is updated.
    Please help.

I know that it is time consuming and a bit of a pain in the butt to have to do it, but I would backup the iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore from the backup, and sync everything back to the device. It's going to take a while because you have a ton of music on the iPad, but IMO, that would be your best option now.
You could try unsyncing all of the music, and then resync it all again, but that takes time as well. If you are going to spend that much time trying to fix it, you may as well restore the device ...IMO once again.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

  • Is there a problem with the App Store/iTunes billing right now?

Last night I was trying to download app updates to my iPhone and it kept telling me that my billing address was wrong, it wasn't. I tried this morning from both my iPhone and iMac and it just said cannot connect to store, try again later? Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know when it will be fixed?
    Tyson

Go to http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp enter your address, it will show you your address as the usps recognizes it. Enter your billing address exactly how its seen.

  • Problem with syncing ipod to itunes after recovering windows 4 times

To clean my computer from viruses I recover the system frequently.  The only programs on the computer are internet browsers and itunes.  The Ipod is a 2009 nano.  Itunes has been very good until my last system recovery.  It now thinks the computer is new which it is not. How do I keep from losing the songs I have purchased and reinstalling my CD back to Itunes?  I only have 1 more recovery until I reach 5.
