Problem with table cells

Hi,
actually i wanted to know that is there any way
so that i can show contents of a table cell in two pages, i.e, half the cell is in one page and other half of the cell on another page
as my cell content is very large it do not fit in one page.

i have bound details node to table data source.
i have a tool bar button 'Add Line item' which will add a new line item to the table.
(i am adding a blank line to the table that is bound to table )
Its working fine. but when ever i add more than one row, the selection made in the previous rows drop down is lost.
its initializing. where could be the problem.

You only have only one option in the DDI to display in the example. when you have multiple values
i assume that by adding an empty row like this will lose the SELECTION MADE in DDI. (Correct me If i am wrong)
somehow i believe that we need to bind the DD values using SET LEAD SELECTION INDEX METHOD FOR THE DDI when they are already selected and trying to BIND.

you need to bind it explicitly.

Problem with table formatting

I'm having a lot of problems with tables not reflecting their formatting when I open them in a browser. I've tried opening in Safari, Firefox & Camino with the same results. For example, a row with the following html content has a much larger height & aligns the text to the top when opened in a browser:

Any ideas is appreciated. This is driving me nuts. Spacing and alignment sometimes work and sometimes don't work. Dreamweaver is supposed to make such things easier!

Header tags are usually used round a bit of text, not parts of a table, and if you don't specify the margins on them, can force different amounts of space below in different browsers. Try making the bottom margin on h6 zero, and confine it to text within a cell.
Also, if you can upload your page somewhere and let us have the url it will be easier to troubleshoot.

Problem with tables -- need help!

I am having problems with table formatting, when using
Preformatted text. The tables look fine in the WYSIWYG editor, but
have lots of extra space above and below the text when looking at
the output files.

Well, if you're talking about the single-celled table with
the line:
<p class=Preformatted>[assembly:
Ace.AceAssembly]</p>
</pre>
... you can eliminate the <P> tags. that will give you
one line less. Otherwise, your remaining space is the result of the
<PRE> tag. It, like the <XMP> tag, gives it one line of
space beneath as well.
Your alternative beyond that would be to, when needed, wrap
up the script in Javascript. That line, for instance, wouldn't need
it.

Problem with Tables

InDesign CS5.5
Opening a blank document.
Creating 3 Paragraph styles: "Table Header" (bold font), "Table Footer" (italic font), "Table Body" (normal font).
Creating 3 Cell styles: "Header" (black fill), "Footer" (gray fill), "Body" (white fill).
Assigning Paragraph styles to the respective Cell styles.
Assigning Cell styles to a Table style called "[Basic Table]".
Creating a text frame.
Inserting a table: 4 rows, 2 collumns, 1 header, 1 footer. Table style: "[Basic Table]"
Result:
Header row/cells, Footer row/cells, and Body rows/cells all have proper color fills, but the cell styles for all of them is shown as "none", except the Footer row, which for some reason has "none+" style. Inspite of cell styles not being properly assigned automatically, the paragraph styles for Header and Body rows are automatically set correctly. But the footer row/cells is having the "Table Body" paragraph style assigned to it. Even manually assigning the "Table Footer" cell style to the footer row/cell does not pick up the paragraph style corresponding to that cell style.
If I choose "[No Table Style]" when creating a new table, and then assign the "[Basic Table]" style to it, all the rows/cells pick up proper paragraph style, but the cell styles are still set to "none".
Where does this magic come from? Will Adobe ever put their isht together and start making software that actually works for the amount of money it costs? Or are we forced to pay ridiculous prices for using beta software for the rest of our lives?

Aren't they set to "none" for the same reason as the Character Style Panel says "none" when the formatting of a character style is applied because it is specified as a nested style by a paragraph style? The formatting of the lower-level style is applied because the higher-level style is referenceing or "grabbing" it, but not the lower-level style itself. Hi,
Using SPACE against the keys (LAUFI, LAUFD - specifically LAUFD) will most likely return no results. LAUFD, being one of the keys and the date which the program is supposed to run (considering that this is settlement data - it has already run) - implies that this field will be populated. Putting " = SPACE" in your where clause is saying that you want to find records from the table where those fields are not populated. That is fine for LAUFI, considering it is the indicator for a proposal only. In my requirement, my client did not want to see proposals but only real payment runs - therefore, LAUFI = SPACE is correct.
The reason you are having poor performance while selecting form this table is because it is a cluster table like bseg. This thread explains a little bit of why cluster tables are a performance nightmare when trying to select - although it is about bseg, you will get the idea:

Problem with table MBEWH

Hello SAP experts , im having a little problem with table MBEWH because the data i whant to extract isnt the correct one, i saw that this table stores all the prices for the materials and it groups them by year and by month but when i check to see what was the price for a specific material the price i had on that time periord inst the same as the one on the system, also i manage my material with baches and when i check to see if that batch was in that period of time it isnt so im really confused as to how the system saves the historical data on this table, thank you in advanced.

Problem with Table control lines

This is the problem with table control lines:
I have screen with table control and I would like change the table control lines dynamicaly.
Exp:
In my PBO the Internal table which I am using to loop the TC is havig 7 records and its displayed with 7 records, now I have added one more record into my ITAB and now ITAB is having 8 records, when I am looping this ITAB with TC its taking the TC lines 7 only.
here is the code:
Initial values in gt_scr400 = 8
Initial values in tc_scr400 = 8
Now added one more recor into gt_scr400 , now gt_scr400 = 9.
LOOP AT   gt_scr400
       INTO wa_scr400
       WITH CONTROL tc_scr400
       CURSOR tc_scr400-current_line.
ENDLOOP.
I have used this logic :
DESCRIBE TABLE gt_scr400 LINES g_rec_300 .
tc_scr300-lines = g_rec_300.
but its not modifying the lines in my table control.
How to change the TC lines based on ITAB total records.

there is a field in TableViewName-xxx
don't remember the exact field name for (total no of records)
you can check it in debug. when you add records in Internal table, u need to modify this field which is set at the first time when table control is populated.

Problem with table paging [PDK for NET]

Hi All,
I have a problem with table paging in PDK for .NET (ver 2).
The Table has 14 visible rows.
The lead selection is set to "SINGLE"
When the user selects a row I can use
Table1.SelectedKeys(0) Mod Table1.VisibleRowCount
in order to get the info of the selected row.
If I will page using the "Prev/Next" page of the Table UI element it will also work.
However, when I press "Prev/Next" item and then select a row it chooses the wrong row.

What can I do in order to solve the problem?

how are you doing ?
The SAPTable is similar to a DataGrid control and need to be bound to the datasource on every postback
a good idea is to keep the dataset available in the page or on the server ( so that you dont need to keep making expensive fetch operations
The selected row is affected by the recordset (dataset) and needs additional programming
A work around for the selected row issue is to save it in a server side hidden variable (or anything that will persist) and read and set the value in the page / next button handler

try to open the query in RSRT and debug the query.the error is due to some customer exit variable so try to debug the code for the variable and rectify it.

Problems with table TEVEN

Hi experts,
After doing the upgrade system from 4.7 to 6.0 we have problems with table Teven. Trying executing RPTIME00 when the instruction update (table teven) is executed the program stay updating and never finished

Table cells - Problem with merged cells

Hi
I was experiencing very weird behavior with my tables until I realized that it was caused by merged cells
My script gives a dialog which allows the user to choose from which column to start and from which row.
As the script iterates through the cells in the selection I was getting weird results
Through using .select() function I was able to see that depending on the column, some times row 5 could be which seems to be row 3!
The reason was because of merged cells in that row
I.e., when some cells are merged together, only the first column of those merged cells is recognized - the others are not
so it comes out that when merging cells from column 3 to 5, column 3 has a cell in that row, columns 4 and 5 do not, and column 6 does!
Is there a way to get around this behavior?

I don't understand the point of your post.
If you're trying to report a problem or "bug" with Pages, that is not the purpose of this user-to-user forum. You should leave feedback for the Pages team on this page.
I've not had a problem opening Word files with tables in Pages. If you're saying Word can't handle tables with merged cells, then don't use merged cells in files you are going to export as Word. Word & Pages must handle merged table cells differently, as I know both can do that. As far as RTF, Pages can open & export as RTF. Again, if you are going to export as RTF, don't use tables. Neither of these is a fault of Pages, just limitations of the formats/programs.

Problem with table line (footer) in smartform

Hey guys and gals !!!
I have got this problem with the footer line in my smartform.I have checked the <i>no pagebreak</i> option for this line but still some contents are getting truncated instead of being shown totally on one page.
The line has two cells.The first cell has 4 text nodes and the second cell has 1 text node.
I am able to see just the text from the 1st text nodes while the others are getting truncated.
Please suggest a solution.Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The problem is not clearly explained.
However, I assume that you have a footer which is NOT a part of MAIN Window and a table has been defined and only the contents of the First TEXT node is getting printed while others are getting truncated.
If my understanding is right,
1. It is getting truncated because the text is more than the size of the window that has been defined.
2. I suggest you, if the contents (size) of the footer varies from output to output, then better to shift the footer to the MAIN Window so that you will see the complete text.

Problem with structure cell STYLE

I'm working a wad report with table interface i've already changed the style's structures with the STRUCTURE_CELL method, that's ok. Also i need to control the padding-left but when i tried this the style isn't be able to change it.
It took the style that is coming from the style class sapbexlevelh2 is its hierarchy in the structure, i checked the padding-left and i set it to 0, but the page generated putted &nbsp trying to make the distance... i would like to eliminate that space....any ideas?

If you notice the values for the cell - you would also find that there would be javascript for the arrow mark on the cell - that could be your problem which causes the &nbsp..
Also it could be an issue with the WAD report trying to render the value in the same cell -
