Problem with the Creativ Zen Touch 20

Hello,
I have a problem with my 20 Gb Creative Zen Touch.
Since today he gets stuck if "<EM>Zen Touch</EM>" on the screen appears. Put back nothing brings, he gets stuck further there at the same place. My computer does not recognize him and charge nothing also brings.
What can I do?

Hi, I get sometimes the same problem, try to turn on in recovery mode & clean up:
Go to www.creative.com -> support -> knowledge base ->and select you player, & search: "Recovery Mode: What to Do And How To Access"
& follow the instructions.
I cleaned up my player, but this action erased my songs. So,back up your files before do this.

PLEASE HELP - Serious problem with my Creative Zen Touch firmware

Ok, so I finally decided that I would upgrade to the latest firmware version for my Creative Zen Touch. I knew that doing so would erase everything on it, so I backed up everything onto my computer's hard dri've. So from that standpoint, I'm in the clear.
HOWEVER, during the upgrade process, my computer froze, leaving my precious MP3 player without ANY firmware. This then drove it into "recovery" mode, where I can either clean up, format, or reload firmware. I've gone through each of these options, but when I go to "reload firmware" my computer will no longer detect my Zen! I've tried reinstalling different driver versions, different firmware versions, etc. The bottom line now is that my mp3 player has no firmware, and my computer won't detect it.
I feel like I probably need to go back to the basics. Unfortuantely, I don't have my installation CD with me. Can anyone post the initial installation file please? Thanks in advance!
I really hope I can work this out, I don't know if I've gone a day without my Zen in the past two years!

Simon, this is actually a common problem with the touch. Mine did it about a year after purchase, so I was safe to open it up and fix it. It is actually a really simple fix and is due to a loose connector. I know alot of other people on nomadness.net were having this problem, so I posted a solution here. Hope this helps!

Major problem with my Creative Zen Touch 20gb pla

I seem to be having some serious problems with my player - the scroll button no longer works, and the right-side buttons (Back, Play/Pause and Forward) all malfunction as well. The main issue is the scroll button - this no longer works at all, and without this function the player is essentially useless in all modes other than 'random' - as I cannot scroll down to choose songs by album, artist, genre etc. Even in 'random' mode, the functionality of the player is negligible - I cannot fast forward a track, as if I hold down the 'forward' button it automatically skips forward to new tracks without the chance to play one of them.
This is not the first time I've had a problem with this particular model - I've had complaints before on this forum about an earlier player I had (same model), a different problem but one that was never fixed - through my own error I misplaced the receipt and was unable to have the player fixed (it was within warranty at the time), so I had to pay ?50 for a replacement - to find that this player is now essentially broken as well has left me disgusted, in honesty. As if this wasn't enough, I actually experienced problems with my newer player almost from the off - the data folder malfunctioned, to the extent that files I'd placed in there were unable to be removed - eventually I had to format the player, not only losing important data from the data folder, but also experiencing the inconvience of having to spend many hours putting all my music back onto the player once it had been formatted. This was not a massi've issue, more a minor irritance, but again it's left me wondering what the problem is...is this model notoriously poor performance-wise? Three major errors on two separate players, two of them seemingly fatal to the use of the player, inside the space of just over a year is utterly ridiculous, I think.
At this point, I'd like to know what I can do to get a reimbursement on the cost of my current player, as opposed to a replacement - although I have found the performance of the Zen Touch 20gb to be generally very good, I'm not willing to put up with having each new replacement fail within a year of receiving it. I have lost all confidence in Creative providing me with a player I can rely on, to be honest.
If anyone could point me in the right direction with regards to finding out how I can go about receiving a refund on the price of my player, I'd be very grateful.

Problems with the new Zen Touch Firmw

I'm getting the opposite of the problems other users I read about have with the new firmware: I DON'T want to use MediaSource further but my computer doesn't recognise my Zen Touch as an external hard disk (or Audio Player or anything else I can just drag and drop my music). MediaPlayer is recognising it and on my fathers computer it aso worked.
What should also be said: Right after installing the new firmware it worked but one day later my computer denied doing the same thing as the day before...
I'm quite desperate and I hope you can help me soon.

somebody help me.....just doaloading the latest zen touch firmware and Bang....computer crashed, and the fimware that was on the zen deleted...now i can't update no kind of firmware...sys the there?s no device, but in my computer says that exists one zen...

A problem with a creative Zen Touch 20

My creative zen touch now almost always has the battery indicator that says that it is using outside power, even when it is completely disconnected from outside power. The only time that it sometimes does not have that as its battery indicator is when im charging it from the non-usb power adapter. Then it shows the normal charging icon. This is very irritating because i can never tell how much batter my Touch has left.

if u wanna change the skin of your touch you ll have to brake the warranty patch that is over a screw and with it end your warranty time.
for stuff that sticks over the case its alright
and yes there should be more accessories to this thing

Help with my Creative Zen Touch (20

Hi everybody, I bought my Creative ZEN (20Gb) Touch in October.
For the first month it worked very well, and I was glad I bought it instead of an iPod (I've never liked them).
Anyway three weeks ago the display froze on a playlist while I was listening to it (none of the buttons worked), so I let the battery run down and after a couple of days it recovered and restart working.
This happened to me again last week, so I let the battery run down and, after charging it, it worked.
On friday I connected it to the usb cable, so I could use NOMAD Explorer. When I connected it (the first time) it was turned off but it turned on. I turned it off, anyway. After connecting it, the Nomad Explorer didn't work as if I haven't connected the Zen Touch to the cable. So I tried a couple of times to connect and disconnect the cable from the Zen Touch, and after that the on/off button was illuminated like it was on charge or connected to the cable - but it wasn't flashing, it was just a permanent light.
So I decided to use the same method I used the first two times I had some problems - but the battery didn't run down! Or maybe it did, but the light is still there, and my mp3 doesn't work. Now it's been four days, and this is the third time I had a problem with my mp3 player - I've been owning it just for three months! What should I do for make it start working?
How can I reset it's And if I do, am I going to lose any of my files?

if it crashes theres a small hole on the same side as the volume put a pin in you should feel a click if done correctly. it should then start up. as for your nomad explorer problem you should still be able to access your player from "my computer" there should be your dri'ves, nomad explorer and creative zen touch try getting to it through "creative zen touch. if none of that works maybe try removing all the software and install it all again. maybe update there firmware. oh if you have firmware version 2 nomad wont work. i miss it too. dont lose faith i've had mine for over a year now and had (and still am having) just about every problem. hope that helps Sm: )er

Recharging the Creative Zen Touch via

Hello Users,
since I upgraded to Vista, I also needed to install the new PlaysForSure-Firmware on my Creative Zen Touch. Afterwards I was unable to recharge the battery via USB. I connect the player as usual but the little loading symbol on the screen won't show up and even after 2 or more hours of waiting, the battery didn't recharge. I also already tried resetting the player.
Is there any way to fix that problem without buying a new recharge-cable. The battery is empty right now and it is not possible to start the player.

If you mean the power adapter, then I would/can only recommend the official ones. If others want to recommend or point to unofficial ones that is okay, but we do not support those and have not tested them.
The cable you use to connect to the PC is a standard USB to mini-USB cable, you should be able to get that in any electronics/computer store.
When you connect the player to the PC, is there any sign that it is recognised? Does it show up in the Device Manager?

My player is giving me issues but i dont want to lose all the music on it, is there any way i can store the music on my computer and not on the creative music box?

What is wrong with the player, exactly? Does it start up? If it can start up and it is recognised on the PC, then you can copy the files back to the PC for back-up.

Problems with connection Creative zen M and DVD-CD pla

Hi,
I have problems whem i connect my zen to the DVD player. I've connected zen with a cable going from the headphones to the audio line in (red and white) at the back of the DVD system. I get sound but the problem is that my zen automaticly switch to the FM radio mode, when it should be playing from the music libary. This happens by 70% of the numbers. How can I deal with this problem?
Problem 2 is that I hear a strong noise when I connect my zen to the DVD player. It's al low sound which comes back in all the 5 boxes en sounds like a bee...
Problem 3 is that I can't get the full volume on the DVD system. Even when zen is max on 25 i've to put the DVD system also max before a normal sound is coming to me...

Hi there,
. The reason the ZVM is switching to fm radio is because the headphone jack also supports a wired remote that controls some of the ZVM functions there will be some sort of back feed from your DVD head unit to the ZVM causing this to happen.
2. The headphone jack does carry a bit of noise when used with line in applications and compared to the line out function of the ZVM is muffled and lacks power(this also could be noise in your DVD unit).
3. Same as above(2) the A/V out function has a set volume and is louder and much clearer than the headphone out jack.( The line out is the A/V out function of the ZVM found in the supplied adaptor that plugs into the bottom of the ZVM)
To overcome this problem simply use the line out function of the ZVM either through the dongle and an A/V cable or get an after market cable to suit and that should solve your problems with this type application.

Is there a problem with the my iPod touch?

Hey guys,
I have had my iPod touch since Christmas and have been experiencing a problem with it ever since. So here is the problem: Sometimes I will listen to music, then pause it, click the button to turn of the screen, but I do not turn it off... Later, when I come back to it, I try to turn the screen on, but it does not turn it. The only way I can turn it on is by holding the top button and the home button to reset it. Is this supposed to happen? It gets kind of annoying and I know it is not turning off because of battery level, so can some one please help me with this problem? Thanks

you should be able to just click the sleep/wake button once or the home button to get the screen to wake up again. but not both at the same time. If your ipod is in 'sleep mode'...meaning its still on but the screen is off....and it does not want to turn back on....then i would contact apple about this so they can either decide to give you a new one or fix it since your still under the warranty.

Hi i changed my Email adress cause i couldnt verify it, because this email got spammed by facebook and all that stuff so my mailbox was always full and i didnt get adobe email. So the problem is, that i changed the email to a new one cause i need to verify the email for using the Creative Cloud Program on my desktop and without doing that i cant use it. My Adobe ID account changed the emailadress and it worked very well but it'll not change the email adress in the programm which i need to verify! I already tried to deinstall and install again and all that i really need help!

I have installed all my drivers for the Zen Micro, yet it tells me (when i plug it in (USB) )Hardware found please install drivers.... i got to install them and it wont work, there is no drivers on the Installation CD... so i cant use it... i go to my device manager and it says...
