Hi Shivkumar,
If you right-clic on the time scale you can set the time/date format, I assume this is the way you should follow to add the "day of month in the time stamp.

Final Cut Express was discontinued about 18 months ago, before the release of Lion (10.7). It is no longer a supported product and was never supported on Lion, nor on Mountain Lion.
While some FCE users have had success running FCE on Lion, many have reported problems including problems with chroma keying. I do not recall any solution to the chroma keying problem, but you might try searching this Forum to see what others have discovered or tried.
Final Cut Pro X is the app supported on Lion & Mountain Lion, and the future direction Apple has taken. Since your computer lab has already moved to Lion (10.7.5) and presumably will move to Mountain Lion in the future, you should begin the process of moving to Final Cut Pro X. I appreciate there are implications for cost, training, inconvenience and re-doing lesson plans. But technology moves on and at some point we need to move with it too.

Problems with the display when I change the view

Hi,
I have recently downloaded th emost up to dat everion of itunes and I have a problem when I change the view. All I get is a black screen down the right hand side where the library details sit. This eventually clears but is **** annoying. It also happened when I had version V7.01 running.
Any ideas?

Problems with the EM when it access the instance

hi,
can you help me ??? for almost 3 days, i have tried to open the EM after startup my instance, as i used to do... then, now i can't start my EM, because when a try to do this, it show me that the instance is stoped, the instance is in shutdown mode... ( i started the instance before !!! )
so, i startup the instance by EM control, but the same thing happen, after i start the instance by EM control, it show me that the instance is stoped.
recently the passwords have been changed at my database, system's password, sysman, and others users. are there any connection between the EM and the password's modification ?
the follow message show me when i try to startup the database by OEM:
RemoteOperationException: File does not exist or is inaccessible.

Problem with the audio when creating optimized media...

I am having a problem with the quality of my audio after I transcode the clip to optimized media. It sounds fine originally, and I have listened to the clips when I first import them, and they sound fine, it's only after they're optimized that they sound bad. There is a clicking sound that is randomly distributed throughout the clip. I thought at first that maybe this would be fixed after I published the content, as the whole point of optimized media was to make it lesser quality to improve performance while editing, but even when published the clicks could be heard distinctly. I tried editing the content with out optimizing the mdeia, but the editing is too slow as I am working with high quality media.
Has anyone had this problem? Anyone have an idea on how to I might be able to fix this?

One way would be to make sure the Preferences window under the Import tab says not to use optimized media. Then go to the timeline and Control Click the clip. Choose Reveal in Event Browser. This will select the clip in the event browser. The originally specified in and out points will be represented in the yellow border on the clip. Then in the File menu choose the Import ... Files and specify the original media. The clip in the event browser will be filled in again from the new import, and the timeline clip will also be replaced with the new material. In and out points will be honored and effects will still be in place on the timeline clip.
Now, I use this procedure to reconnect clips all the time ... I have not used it before to switch formats from optimized to original media so there is a little guessing here on my part. The option, of course, is to simply reimport from a camera archive or the camera of the SD card into a new clip then replace everything ... Again, this would need to be done having turned off the preference item to use optimized media. Hope this helps a little. Best wishes.

Verify that you have a cellular or Wi-Fi network connection. This allows the Assisted GPS (A-GPS) on the device to locate visible GPS satellites faster, in addition to providing initial location information using the Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
Note: Microcells (sometimes called Femtocells) aren't supported with Location Services.
Maintain a clear view of the horizon in several directions. Keep in mind that walls, vehicle roofs, tall buildings, mountains, and other obstructions can block line of sight to GPS satellites. When this occurs, your device will automatically use Wi-Fi or cellular networks to determine your position until the GPS satellites are visible again.

I reset my iPhone5 and I'm putting my ID and password in and it says there is a problem with the server when trying to restore all my information with iCloud backup. What do I do?

I was having several problems with my iPhone5, apps crashing everywhere, nothing working. My father who is very tech savvy told me we would have to restore the iPhone using the iCloud. So I went to settings, erased all my stuff and got the grey starting screen. I got up to the point where it says to enter your Apple ID and Password and I couldn't remember so I went on Apple.com and changed my info so I could remember it no matter what. I got the email saying that my info has been changed and accepted and all that but now when I put the information in its says that there is a problem connecitng to the server.

Problem with the speaker when listening to music

I've been having problem with my iphones speaker when im listening to music through it, like u would hear a bad sound and annoying noise, wat can i do to fix this problem?

Another thing to think of that might help.
If you hear an odd sound intermittently over speakers when the iphone is near, that could be GSM interference. GSM phones produce this interference when contacting the cell network. You don't have to be using the phone for this to happen. The phone is in constant contact with the cell network to check time, signal strength and a range of other things you might have turn on the phone.
one way you could test this is to put the iphone into airplane mode and play the music for a while.

Problems with distorted frames when making movies in After Effects

I'm a 3D animator. When I get through with
rendering all of the frames of an animation and they're fine, I create a preview in After FX and it builds and plays back the preview fine. But when I go to make a movie, with those same frames, it produces frames in different spots which are blurred, stretched, distorted, spun and or dropped. What could be causing this? N E help is greatly appreciated.

There is a simple answer indeed.
Here it is:
The highlighted button in the Comp panel enables Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR) Correction.
So, instead of stretching the footage horizontally, you create a Composition with the same frame aspect and Pixel Aspect Ratio as your source footage (just drag the clip to the New Comp button in the project panel and AE will automate this) and then enable PAR correction and After Effects will give you a corrected (deanamorphized) preview so you won't see it squeezed at all on a computer monitor. When you export it, it will look squeezed until you take it to the target video application. Any professional video application will handle this correctly.Millions of people do this every day, since non-square pixels are still dominant among the most popular video formats.
Even Photoshop has had support for non-square pixels (and PAR correction in the document panel) since CS (ie. Photoshop 8.0).
Note that when you turn on PAR correction (just like when you use odd magnification levels) AE switches to a draft filtering mode, which makes type and other elements look a bit jagged. Don't worry, it's just a preview.
The ideal solution, and the one video professionals rely on, is adding video output hardware to your computer, so you can connect a professional video monitor. After Effects can provide a live preview using such a set-up.

I have an Ipod Touch 4 gen. and I'm having problems with audio when I use other than Apple brand earphones. I'm talking about music only so far, when I use apple earphones all is fine, but if I use other type of phones ( sony for exemple ) I can only hear the music and the background but not the lead singer voice, can anybody explain this to me? thank you.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
- If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Problem with the Audio when rendering !

Hi guys !
i just finished a project that i was working on..and i have been trying to render it down with the audio.
The problem is, i get the audio and everything, but always at the very start, i get that audio scratch (sounds like a scratched CD) and always at the beginning for like 1 second, then its back to normal !
My export setting is Quicktime movie if that helps!
Any of you are familiar with that problem ?

There are about a zillion, well maybe not a zillion but there are a lot of Quicktime Codecs. Audio, but default should be good if your original is good. If the original audio is an MP3 and you are using an earlier version of AE you must convert the original audio to something elce and replace it.
More info about your system and your settings would help a bunch.

Font Problem with Embedded Images when making PDFs

Hello,
I am revising a document I didn't create which has embedded images. Although all of the fonts are turned on, when I create a PDF, the fonts in the EPS come out as Courier. When I print to my laser printer, the fonts in the EPS come out correctly. This job will eventually be produced as a PDF, so I need to figure this out. Any ideas?

We can't spend the time to retrieve the originals and distill them.
Yes, I understand that. I like to know why things don't work, even if it takes me a few minutes to test things. You don't have to retrieve any originals. Just unembed one from the ID file. I know it doesn't make sense to Distill all your EPS files when printing to PDF is going to take much less time. But if you can ascertain why it's not working, you'll have a better chance to fix it next time.
If the fonts weren't included in the original EPSs, why do they print to PDF in Franklin Gothic? This is true even in the one page document I sent you that doesn't have any styles.
They don't...unless you have that exact Franklin Gothic loaded on your system. They print in Courier here.
Your EPS file references a specific font name. When you print, your print driver matches up that reference with the Franklin Gothic font you have loaded. For reasons that I don't fully understand, when you Export to PDF Indesign is not able to match up the reference to the font the same way your print driver can.
Obviously, printing to PDF is a good workaround. And make sure you send your printer a PDF, not a live Indesign file.
