Problem with the imported video clips
Hi! I'm very new to Premiere Pro, so please don't scold me :)
I have a video file (.AVI) that I want to remove the audio from, and insert a new audio track.
Here's my problem: When I import the AVI file into Premiere, and double-click it to preview it, it is really glitchy. The video is 1 minute long. During ~5 seconds in the very beginning, the whole video's "video" track is played, extremely speeded up (It plays through it all). The rest of the video consists of a freezed frame, and the audio is played in normal pace.
I do not know which codec the AVI-file is encoded with, is this relevant?
When I restarted Premiere the first time, it told me that it had to download codecs. I pressed OK and the codecs was downloaded and installed okay, but the problem remains.
I copied the .AVI-file directly from my camera (Canon IXUS 700 I believe).
When I play the original AVI file with VLC, everything runs perfectly with audio and video.
I'm totally clueless, anyone have a clue how I can solve this?

Problem with the importing wizard
Hei,
I have a dll which I want to import to the Labview project. So, I decided ti use the import wizard, but when parsing the header file, Labview freezes. I am using a couple of structures (3) and a handle. I have also read that the wizard has problems when dealing with complex data. What would be best solution for adding it to the project? To in a way "unbundle" the struct and then create a many simple variables and then parsed to dll. (This would be a pain)
How to deal with the handle or will wizard easy understand that?
I am really looking for a painless solution

Through a process of trial and error you could determine which functions causes problems with the wizard (comment out half the functions, attempt to import, repeat) and then manually create the LabVIEW VIs for the troublesome ones. If there aren't too many functions, you could do it all by hand, which isn't that hard if you have some understanding of C (and if you don't, you'll undoubtedly have other problems when the wizard doesn't do the right thing). -
Problem with the "import" command...
Hi...I'm working with drivers and objects right now. My last class project was to create a Hi-Lo type of card game where a card would be drawn..then the user would have to guess if the next card would be higher or lower... We had to create an object called "PlayingCard." So in the driver..of course we had to use "import PlayingCard;"...Now this is where the problem is: when i try to compile the driver..i get the error "cannot resolve symbol" where the carrot is pointing under the "i" in "import PlayingCard;"... Also, in the driver program we had to create two cards "PlayingCard c1 = new PlayingCard();" and "PlayingCard c2 = new PlayingCard();"... When trying to compile there is also the same "cannot resolve symbol" error..with the carrot pointing under the "P" in the "PlayingCard ......."
I already checked the obvious..case sensitives and all... The weird thing is that on my friends comp..he is able to successfully compile my driver and object. The same thing goes for when I use the computer at school. It works without changing anything. My friend has the same problem..he can't compile on his machine running XP..but he can on his machine running 2000. We thought it was an OS problem..but my machine is running XP (the one that works for him). So what could be the problem?? I tried reinstalling, tried 1.3 and 1.4, etc etc.

Extension of seeded page - problem with the import

I was extending a seeded page in SSHR. I found the relevant VO to be changed in order to get the desired functionality.But after I changed the VO and put it back into the server,imported the particular jpx file using jpx import,I am not able to open the pages in self service.
Now what I want to do is to get the file which I imported to database deleted.But I am not able to do that as I dont know the path of the page.
Import stmt wat i used is :

Basically it says the VO definition is not found or watever... I m totally confused.
Now wat I want is just to clean up the thing .Wanna delete eevrything related to that proj n make a fresh start but I am not able to.As I dont know the path of the file which I imported to database :-( n hence I am not able to delete that part n its erroring out !
Pls let me know how can I get rid of that file !

Safari Problems with websites w/video clips
Hello, this is my first MAC so please don't flame me.
When going to sites that play video/audio clips I'm getting "plugin not found" but there's no link where to get the plugin (reminds me of the netscape days).
Specific Error:
has content of MIME type “audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed
Please tell me where I can get Safari plugins. Thanks in advance. By the way, the audio plays fine.How strange then - that removing the real plugins will give a MIME type “audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin message in safari - yet as soon as they are installed.... the pages work again.
Have a look for 'mime' in help on a mac - esp in the QT sections. An example...

QuickTime can display a wide variety of file types. To make QuickTime handle more or fewer file types, you can edit the MIME type settings. If you edit the list, you can return to the default list by clicking Use Defaults.
mime, of itself.... is absolutely not something incompatible with macs or safari. -
Importing video clips in AVCHD (Lite) into Aperture vs iMovie
I'm trying to figure out which application I should use for importing and storing video clips shot on my Panasonic DMC-ZS7 camera. This camera can shoot in AVCHD (Lite) or in Motion JPEG. I use the AVCHD (Lite) format to shoot the videos with this camera.
The two application options I currently have for importing video clips from this camera are:
a. Aperture 3.5.1 (I'm not using iPhoto since I have Aperture).
b. iMovie 10.0.1 (I'm not using Final Cut Pro)
When I first got this camera, Aperture 3 did not support the AVCHD Lite codec. Back then, iMovie could import video clips shot in AVCHD Lite, but it had to transcode the AVCHD video clips into AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec). Some time later, one of the Aperture 3 updates made it possible to import AVCHD Lite into Aperture (without having to transode into an intermediate codec), so we started importing our video clips shot in AVCHD Lite (together with our photos shot by the same camera) directly into Aperture.
iMovie 10 released in 2013 supports importing video clips shot in AVCHD Lite without having to transode them to AIC for storing these video clips in iMovie. So, now we have a dilemma that we need help with. Which application should we use going forward for importing video clips from this camera?
When I look at the metadata for the imported videos in Aperture, I see that the format of the imported video clips is listed as H.264. However, I can't seem to be able to find any information about the format in which iMovie stores imported videos. I can "Reveal in Finder" a video that I import into iMovie, and I see the size of the file and the .mov extension assigned to the file. With video files, the extension does not always determine the codec of the file, but in my non-expert opinion, the .mov extension is not H.264; I may be totally wrong here, though. What I have noticed, though, is that a video clip imported into iMovie has the file size that is about 10% larger than the same video clip imported into Aperture.
Therefore, I have three questions:
1. What format is a video clip (shot in AVCHD Lite) stored in Aperture 3.5.1 and in iMovie 10.0.1
2. Which format (the one used by Aperture or the one used in iMovie) is better suited for transoding AVCHD videos into? The balance of the quality and file size is the main consideration for us.
3. Which applications would you personally prefer using for importing video clips to and why?
I do want to use some of these video clips to make home videos in the future, utillizing iMovie. However, it seems I can still store the raw footage in Aperture and access this raw footage from iMovie to be able to create an iMovie project and a final home video. One of the concerns is that if we keep importing our video clips into Aperture, the Aperture library could grow beyond the size that Aperture can support and we may end up losing our photos due to the database corruption. Is this a real risk?

Im having a problem with the dvd quality, I'm using compressor to convert the video fils from apple prores to mpeg2 .It doesn't matter how long my video is even if its just 5 minutes I'm getting cut edges/lines in the video specialy if i have titles it comes up really bad , I took the same video to a friend of mine who have PC and he uses Encore , did the encoding there and it was just fine no problems! BTW I tried using doferent setings in compressor from CBR and VBR I even pushed up the setings to 8 or 9 BR and still no luck !

For now, I'll assume you're shooting 1080i.
Take a representaive clip into a new sequence. Add a title.
In your sequence, make sure field dominance is set to Upper.
Set render settings to Pro Res 422.
After rendering, export QT self contained.
Import into Compressor (I'm now referring to v3.5).
Select the 90 minute Best quality DVD preset.
Open frame controls and turn on (click the gear icon). Set Resize filter to Best.
Submit burn and check quality on TV.

I'm having a problem with the stabilization all of a sudden. I did an analyze. The amount of shake isn't terrible but it's there. There are no squiggly lines in the clip I'm trying to stabilize. As you can see in the screenshot that it allows me to click the "Smooth clip motion" but the slider is not there for zoom. Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden? It happens on all clips in this event. The entire event was analyzed after importing.What program are you using for this editing?

I cannot import video clips when working with iMovie
I have a 13" Macbook Pro running Mavericks versión 10.9.4 but lately I do not know what happened since everytime I try to import video clips into my movie or trailer I am unable to get it. Those thumbnail are grey out, I can't drag them out into my project. Why ?
In Lion, one can select a video clip, go to finder services, and click on encode video...it will transcode the .mpg to something iMovie can handle. Far as I can tell, .mpg is not something iMovie likes to play with.

I've successfully imported the videos I've shot with my iphone5 into iphoto on my MacBookPro but they're only showing up as still shots, ie the imported videos don't play! Itunes no longer opens automatically when syncing, and when I open itunes it shows that there are zero "home movies" in there, meaning that it never grabbed the videos from my phone either. What to do? Thanks!

Meh, not that it matters anymore. I ended up redownloading 70-odd albums, so I have the bulk of my music back. And I still have no idea what iTunes did with my files, but I'll make sure it never does it again.

HI, I have been importing videos clips from a SD card to iMovie 09. These clips are analyzed for animal behavior and the timing information for a specific event is critical for proper analyses. Most of the times, the imported clips display correct timing information for a given frame as I scroll over the clips. However, sometimes, some clips show a static or constant timestamp for all the frames in a clip and the timing information doesn't change in the playhead as I scroll over different frames.
For such clips, I was wondering if it's possible to display correct timing information for the frames, and how? Since I only need frame timing info relative to the starting point, I am open to a solution that involves readjusting starting timestamp.

I would scrub to the in point of the audio you want to change, then drag all the way back to the beginning of the clip. Then EDIT/SPLIT CLIP or right-click/Split Clip. Then go to the out point of the audio clip and drag to the right to the end of the clip. Then Edit/Split Clip. The clip in the middle should have your 25 minutes of audio.

I am finding the ability to download previous purchases now shown on my iCloud account to be difficult. Music appears fine and most movies are OK but I have problems with all music videos included with album purchases. Any ideas?

I am still having problems with my music videos freezing (all purchased on iTunes) since the update. The first day of the update, no problems...played 6 hours of music videos and no freezing. Today...every single video froze!!! So frustrating! I rebooted, restarted, powered down and no help. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

As for question #2, you call tell how iTunes is sorting songs by the up or down arrow next to a header name.
Even the original order that the songs were entered or date added or last played can be sorted.
Much easier with a mouse or touch pad. -
When downloading from a Sony minidisc video camera, the picture is downloading but without sound. Previously, it had downloaded successfully both sound and picture. I have subsequently upgraded to Lion X (10.7.4). Is there some problem with the upgrade which is affecting the transfer? Is there a way of resolving this?
When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
