Problem with the Index in IBooksAuthor

I am working with the Dutch version of iBooksAuthor and create a series of iBooks in the English language. All looks great, except the Index. It displays the Dutch word for 'Chapter': Hoofdstuk. Whatever I do I can't change 'Hoofdstuk' in the Index for the English word, 'Chapter' . I know how to change templates, but the Index I can't change... Can somebody help me to solve this problem? Thanks!

Hi,
No, the problem is in the iBooksAuthor software on the iMac when creating the iBook. On my iPad I see the iBook that I have created.

  • Problem with the MenuBar and how can i delete a own component out of the storage

    Hello,
    I opened this thread in the category "Flex Builder 2", but
    under this category my questions fit better.
    I have a problem with the MenuBar and a question to delete a
    component out of storage.
    1. We have implemented the MenuBar, which was filled
    dynamically with XML data.
    Sporadically it will appear following fault, if we "mousover"
    the root layer.
    RangeError: Error #2006: Der angegebene Index liegt
    außerhalb des zulässigen Bereichs.
    at flash.display::DisplayObjectContainer/addChildAt()
    at mx.managers::SystemManager/
    http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal::rawChildren_addChildAt()
    at mx.managers::SystemManager/addChild()
    at mx.managers::PopUpManager$/addPopUp()
    at mx.controls::Menu/show()
    at mx.controls::MenuBar/::showMenu()
    at mx.controls::MenuBar/::mouseOverHandler()
    Here a abrid ged version of our XML to create the MenuBar:
    <Menuebar>
    <menu label="Artikel">
    <menu label="Artikel anlegen" data="new_article" />
    <menu label="Artikel bearbeiten" data="edit_article" />
    <menu label="Verpackung">
    <menu label="Verpackung anlegen" data="new_package" />
    <menu label="Verpackung bearbeiten" data="edit_package"
    />
    </menu>
    <menu label="Materialgruppe">
    <menu label="Materialgruppe anlegen"
    data="new_materialgroup" />
    <menu label="Materialgruppe bearbeiten"
    data="edit_materialgroup" />
    </menu>
    </menu>
    </Menuebar>
    It is a well-formed XML.
    2. Delete a component out of storage
    We have some own components (basically forms), which will be
    created and shown by an construct e.g.
    var myComponent : T_Component = new T_Component ;
    this.addChild(myComponent)
    Some of our forms will be created in an popup. On every call
    of the popup, we lost 5 mb or more, all childs on the windows will
    be removed by formname.removeAllChild();
    What cann we do, that the garbage collector will dispose this
    objects.
    Is there a way to show all objects with references (NOT
    NULL)?
    I have read in the Flex Help, that
    this.removeChild(myComponent) not delete the form and/or object out
    of the storage.
    Rather the object must be destroyed.
    It is sufficient to call delete(myComponent) about remove
    this object out of the storage as the case may be that the
    garbage-collector remove this object at any time?
    Or how can I destroy a component correctly. What happens with
    the widgets on this component e.g. input fields or datagrids?
    Are they also being deleted?
    Thanks for your help.
    Matze

    If you mena the "photo Library" then you cannot delete it.
    This is how iphone handles photos.  There are not two copies.  There a re simply two places from which to access the same photos.  ALL photos synced to iphone can be accessed via Photo Library.  Those same pics can be accessed via their individual folder.

  • There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message.

    I have a user who cannot receive a message from a particular external sender. That senders assistant (same domain and server as the external sender with the issue) is able to forward the exact same message to my user and it arrives as it should. In
    message tracking, I can see the message came in through my smart host, through my front end and to the users mailbox server, where an NDR was generated.  We had the assistant forward us the NDR and it says:
    There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.
    From my 3rd party smart host/spam filter, I have a copy of the message in audit and when I forward it to myself, the same thing happens - it generates an NDR when it arrives at my Exchange mailbox server.  This makes me conclude that my end users mailbox
    isn't corrupt, rather it's something in the message header that our server doesn't like (I've seen this happen with other senders as well, but it is extremely rare and random).
    Details/facts of my environment:
    -Current production messaging system is Exchange 2003.
    -Working on Exchange 2010 co-existence.
    -This problem between this sender and us has been an issue before the introduction of Exchange 2010.
    -I'm hoping to begin end user mailbox migrations to 2010 and will have the sender try again at that time, but I still have testing to do with our voice messaging system before I can begin moving end user mailboxes.
    ....Begin redacted NDR detail....
    Remote Server returned '< #5.2.1>'

    A little more discovery...
    From my smart host/SPAM filter audit folder, I could see the message was received with a 2 meg "winmail.dat" file.  Yesterday, I had attempted redirecting the message to my own mailbox, and it bounced.  I decided to try redirecting the message
    to a 2010 mailbox, and the message arrived.  It had 3 attachments, 1 Word doc, and 2 PDF files.  So, this appears to be an encoding issue with the winmail.dat file.  Any work arounds/reasons for winmail.dat from being rejected at the mailbox
    server?  Once it made it to a 2010 mailbox/client, I was able to forward to a 2003 mailbox no problem.

  • Problem with the way fonts display in Internet Explorer

    Howdy. I built a site about a week ago (first crack at this). It has quite a bit of content but seemed to be fine on Safari, Netscape and Firefox. I checked it out at work on a PC with Internet Explorer 6 and there were typography problems. I intentionally used simple web fonts (all Arial) to hopefully minimize this sort of thing. I used a 70% tint of Black for the font color on all the fonts. On Explorer the fonts display fine on pages 1, 2, 3, and 4. On page 5 the type appears blurry, really greyed and spread. I can't figure out why (same fonts and styles).
    As an experiment I tried posting just a couple of pages with the type at 100% black. The really bad pages weren't so bad (but not nearly as good as on the other browsers.) The site is rballister.com. If you click on any of the links (picture boxes) on the "print & mail index" pages you will see the problem with the type. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

    Because I thought it would be a nice effect, I decided to use the slider in the color pallette and change to color of the type from 100% black to 70% black (which is to to say a shade of gray). I'm referring to text that I keyboarded into iWeb. As previously mentioned, the gray type worked just fine on most browsers but caused problems in Internet Explorer (in a seemingly random way. Still can't figure out the reason). When I changed the type to black on a white background (black and white), the problem wasn't as bad as it was in Explorer, but still not nearly as good as in the other browsers.

  • Problem with the XML in Word 2007 (Word Template)

    Hi Experts,
    i am new on CRM 2007 and i have a problem with the XML Structure of the Word Template.
    First i built a Web Service Design Tool. Then i saw on the Testpage, that it works.
    So i started the Document Templates and created a new Template. Object Type was BUS2000126 - CRM Business Activity. Web Service was my created and tested Web Service Tool.
    As i opened the Word 2007 with the XML-Structure, i recognized, that there was something wrong.
    The Responce on my Testpage from the Web Service Tool had the following structure:
    response (test.types.p1.CrmostZlaWord5ReadResponse)
       Output (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010RoszlaWord5001)
            ZlaWord5 (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtorder)
                Administrativeheaderoforder (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtorderhea001)
                     Partiesinvolvedofheader (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtheaderpa001)
                         Allpartiesinvolved (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtpartnera002[]) Displaying 3 elements of 3
                              element1 (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtpartnera002)
                                   Btpartneraddress (test.types.p1.CrmostZla010Rosbtpartnera001)
    My Problem is now, that the XML-Structure got not that point "element1".
    Instead of "element1" there is the point "item" in my XML-Structure in Word 2007.
    I guess that is the Problem why i am not getting the fields of the Btpartneraddress filled in my Word.
    Can anyone help me? Or put me in the right direction that i can change the XML?
    Thanks for your help
    André

    Hi andré, I guess the issue is coming from the fact that you selected "AllPartiesInvolved" and that may contain any numbers of entries. So when you test your webservice, you put a key and then get a result for that key, and in that case you might get "element1" until "element3" for example if there was 3 partners involved in you activity.
    But, when you design your template, you don't have a key at that moment, so in the Web Service structure, you have "items" which stands for all the possible entries you might retrieve at runtime. I guess you could use an index in your template to specify which item you need, but this is quite hasardeous, so i would be you, I would not design my web service to use "AllPartiesInvolved" but rather a specific Partner type like contact person for instance.

  • Problem with the Value property node (MacOS)

    As far as I have tested it, Value Property nodes (and Value (signaling)) don't work in MacOS : The value property appears as a boolean, the value(signaling) as a cluster (width, height).
    Even with boolean controls, the node is not working.
    No such problem in LV 8.6.
    Am-I missing something ? Is that some "intended use"  ? Or simply a bug ?

    That sounds like some sort of indexing problem with the property nodes like somesort of corrupted installation.  What if you just delete the property node and recreate it?
    I dropped a numeric control and looked at the shortcut menu for the list of property nodes.  Right below Value and Value (signalling) are Visible (which would be a boolean) and Xcontrol, which when you step down through the submenus, the first choice is Container bounds, a cluster of Width and Height.  So these 2 datatypes that are 2 lower on the list match the ones you are getting.
    What happens if you pick another property node a few elements up or down on the shortcut menu?  Does is happen for some other properties, and if so, are thereany properties that are okay?
    Here is what my property nodes look like for a numeric and I draggged the box up and down to show the natural order of the property nodes.  Note that I have scripting installed, so there are a few more property nodes (and the blue box at the top) that you might not have.
    PS.  Check you signature.  The Kudos button is now moved to the left since the forum upgrade.

  • There is a problem with the Office database - Office 2011

    Good day!
    I recently installed Office 2011 for Mac and i'm getting the following error message: There is a problem with the Office database. Excel comes up with the error message but i am able to get past the error and open the application, but it freezes when I try on Word. I have to force quit the application to close it completely.
    I've searched online and tried all the suggestions - even those from the discussion board: Problem with Office Mac 2011 database. I've completely removed traces of the software : http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2398768 and reinstalled using the disc,  as well as followed suggestions to rebuild the database. I also installed the latest Office update: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44026 from Excel (As it was the only one I know of that's functioning after the error message) but to no avail.
    Here are the tech specs:
    OS X
    version 10.9.5
    Office 2011 for Mac
    Version 14.4.4 (140807)
    Update: 14.4.4
    Hope you guys can point me to the right direction. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with the JFileChooser

    Hello all,
    I'm having a small problem with the JFileChooser, the thing is whenever I click the cancel button in the dialog box a NullPointerException is thrown, so does anyone know wut is wrong?

    Either way, it's an extremely important skill to learn to read the API and become familiar with the tools you will use to program Java. Java has an extensive set of documentation that you can even download for your convenience. These "javadocs" are indexed and categorized so you can quickly look up any class or method. Take the time to consult this resource whenever you have a question - you'll find they typically contain very detailed descriptions and possibly some code examples.

  • Problem with the input file format to be stored in database

    Hi,
    I am facing some problem with the input format. I am using the table name as data.employee. But i could not able to process the message forward. I am getting this error,
    com.ibm.db2.jcc.c.SqlException: java.sql.Connection.close() requested while a transaction is in progress on the connection.The transaction remains active, and the connection cannot be closed.
    Can you please help me prposing a solution for this format.
    Thanks,
    SOorya

    I think you are missing out the COMMIT operation.
    At the DB2 end before closing the connection if you do a 'COMMIT' then this may remove your error.
    i.e. after you close the Resultset>close the statement object> perform 'COMMIT' operation--> then close the connection.

  • Problems with the "INSERT" button.

    Hi,
    I have a problem in my homework. I am required to do the following:
    'original numbers' array contains zeros. Let LabVIEW fill an array "original numbers" by random integers from 10 to 90 at a rate 1 number/0.5 seconds by replacing each zero at a time from top to bottom. (DONE)
    user fills in 10numbers in an array 'numbers to be probably inserted'. Then the user decides if he needs to change a generated number that he doesn't like by changing the 'Insert' array.
    Then he presses the INSERT button and a resulting array would appear containing the elements the user changed......
    This video might clarify:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDXo2ABqNM4
    The problem I am facing is the INSERT button. In the video, the moment it is switched the program will continue to the last part.
    I am attaching the vi. I think there are no logical mistakes in the program except the INSERT case structure.
    Thank You.
    P.S. The version is LabView2010 ; I'm getting error trying to save to previous versions sorry.

    What does it mean to disable auto-indexing?
    I didn't understand why we used the reshape array palette. What are the dimensions of the input and the output? Very nice way how you made a length 10 zero array. (i'll use that when i figure the solution of the dimension problem.)
    Did you use the 100ms wait in order not to affect computer performance or for other reason?
    How where you able to connect the 'changed numbers' array to Not Equal Palette?
    From where did you get the "replace" button? I think my "insert" button does the oppositeof what it should do.
    Your code sitll has major flaws. Your questions are very basic and I recommend to do a few tutorials.
    If you wire an array across a loop boundary, the tunnel can have two modes (plain (solid square) or autoindexing (contains a small set of square brackets)). In your case, you are autoidenxing the 1D array, creating a 2D array (double-line) at the output of the first loop. You are generating 10x too much data! (create an 10x10 indicator on the 2D array to see what you are actually doing!). You can right-click a tunnel to switch between indexing modes. A plain tunnel transports the array data unchanged. An autoindexing output tunnel, creates an array with a higher dimension, in your case a 2D array from a 1D array with one new row per iteration. If you autoiindex a scalar, you get a 1D array with one element per iteration. An autoidexing input tunnel does the reverse. If you wire a 1D array to a FOR loop using autoindexing, you get a scalar per iteration and the FOR loop will stop once the array runs out of elements. Is it equavalent (with some important differences) to wiring without autoidenxing, then using "index array" with the index wired to [i] as you currently do. In your case, you chould get the 1D array from the shift register of the first loop, it has all the information(!), and disable autoidexing at the boundary of the second loop and the outcome would be the same, except you use only 10% of the memory.
    Once you are autoidexing at a loop boundary, a FOR loop iteration count will be determined by the size of the smallest autoindexing array. This would be a problem if you later want to change the code to operate on e.g. 20 elements, because the other two arrays in my code would force the loop to stop after 10 iterations. "Resize array" can be used for padding/trimming arrays and in this case we are forcing them to be the lenght on the main array to ensure that the FOR loop does not stop prematurely. In your case, the replace and switch arrays are empty by default, so the loop would not spin at all unless you would enter some values. "resize array" brings them up to size.
    Yes, you need a small wait either inside the other case or elsewhere in the while loop. Without a wait, the basically empty loop will spin millions of times per second, consuming all CPU in the process while doing nothing. No human can click a button with that kind of time resolution, so a 100ms wait is not noticeable, but will drop the CPU use to negligible levels. Your computer has dozens of processes running at any given time. Imagine how well it would work if all programs would consume all CPU they can possibly get?
    I am comparing two arrays, and the output will be a boolean array. You are only comparing two scalars and you won't get an array. You also don't need the "AND", because if the values are different it has to be true anyway. In your case you would need to carry a boolean array similar to the number array, replacing elements as you go.
    A button is a button is a button. There should be no difference. You can change the label, boolean text, default value, and mechanical action to match your requirements.

    I have done so to initialize the arrays full of zeros yet the way you did it way easier.  How did u initialize them to zeros?(from where did you get the palettes? I have attached a picture clarifing my question.
    These are local variables. You don't need to find them in the palettes. Simply right-click a terminal and "create local variable". Voila!
    (Local variables can be used to read from an indicator or write to a control. However, because they break dataflow, you can generate dangerous race conditions. They also force extra data copies in memory. Don't use them like "variables" in text based code. Except for initialization and user interface interactions, they should be used sparingly and are rarely needed. In principle, my code has a theoretical race condition because the order of operations is not determined between the three independent code sections. For example if the initializion would happen after the second loop executes, you would get an unexpected result. It will never happen in this particular case, but in other scenarios it could be a problem.)
