Problem with the last driver update, overmodulat
Hiya all,
I have the same problem like a lot seem to have, an acustic rev meter in my X-Fi Fatalty.
So I tried the latest drivers what supposed to help, and those seem to overmodulate really bad, I can't hear anything but noise and crackling. Funny thing is, this happens not with everything, but only with some applications, like the dvd decoder from NVidia. This is something that I didn't find here in the forum so I thought I post my question.
What also doesn't work with neither driver is Everquest and Everquest2. Other Games like X3 work fine. DVD and mp3 seem to work fine.
My OS is XP64, Opteron Dualcore, 4GB RAM, NV7900GTX, a8n32-SLI Asus board.
2.07.0004 works mostly (besides some minor bugs and the crackling and popping), 2.09.000 doesn't due to overmodulating.
Dual Channel is acti've. The old onboard Soundcard is disabled and the drivers removed.
Any Idea what might go wrong ? I realize that the crackling and popping thread is still ongoing, but I was hoping for an answer about the overmodulating problem. I tried all kind of volume control I found whereever in the system, nothing. Any hint on that one, mayby I missed something somewhere ?
What is kind of annoying, the onboard sound is way worse (performance in games is bad), but whatever I do works fine, while the Creative Card, thats more expensi've than my MB, causes trouble.

btw, if the problem is a hardware conflict between my board and the x-fi, I could trash my mb and get another one, if somebody knows a mb that actually works.

Regarding your MacBook Pro, you can try booting it into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Is it able to reach the login screen now? -

Photoshop CS5.1 Crashes Upon Opening: "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver-"
Every time I try to open photoshop I get a window that pops up and says:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software.
GPU enhancements can be enable in the Performance panel of Preferences."
Then windows shuts the program down. The details of the problem are:

The error happens so quickly that I don't have time to do anything. Please help. >.< I've been on hold for *checks phone* 2 hours exactly. Wow. It is a legit copy and was working last month with no trouble. I've updated the drivers and tried a few solutions that have worked for other people that I found on Google (such as disabling CUDA and setting my "power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance" on my video card) but so far nothing has worked.
Thanks in advance!It has stopped crashing because somehow it turned off "Enable GL Drawing" on its own because I could never even get a menu open. Not sure how it did that but I am grateful. I still get the error when I open Photoshop up but at least it hasn't crashed yet. At the time when it was crashing I never would have been able to get you the system info due to the speed that it was crashing upon just opening the program. In case you still need it:

Problem with the Display Driver
Hi.
I just got this message when I started Adobe Photoshop today, that's the CS4 edition, about that there was a problem with the Display driver: "Photoshop have encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences"
My problem is not what to do but how to do it. I went to System profiler and found something "ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, and: Chipset Model: ATI,RadeonHD2600".
And so I want to ATI's website but can't find what I'm looking for.
Any help?I have cs6 - master collection. I bought it on last december and i didn't upgrade it.
"After Effects" works for some minutes and then it stucks and give the massege above
"Display driver NVIDIA Windows kernel Mode Driveer, Version 334.89 stopped, responding and has succesfully recovered."
and preimer works and suddenly the computer crashes not before giving the massege :
"The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.
The aaplication must close. error code: 7"

I am getting an error encountered problem with the display driver for my Photoshop CS5 extended
I have Windows 7 and have used CS5 extended with no problems for quite a while now.
Last week I started up CS5 and received the error:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturers website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences."
"Please close program and uninstall and re-install if problem persists"
I was able to edit, however when I went to save my work it would not do so. The following error came up.
"Could not complete the command because the extension could not be loaded"
"Could not save a copy as .....because of a program error"
I checked to make sure I have the latest driver, I also uninstalled and re-installed the program and I am still getting the errors.

I get a error message "To charge faster, use the cable and device that were provided with this phone" when charging my Samsung Galaxy note 3. I took it to a store last week and they said it has something to do with the last software update. They tried charging it at the store and got the same message. I was given another phone, I still get the same error with the new phone.

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver
I rummaged around in here looking at opengl topics and others associated with the above error, but I'm not seeing what I'm encountering (or I am and I don't recognize it!).....
I bought CS4 a week or so ago, and installed it on a system running XP32 with service pack 3, 4GB of ram withe the /3GB switch set, nVidia 8600 GT card (which according to the list is supported), and multiple spindles for images, scratch, applications, and so on. I found other topics earlier so I downloaded the most recent drivers for my video card.
I'm not crashing and burning, but I'm getting some messages...
I opened an image, and while working on it I wanted to do a transform/warp. I got the message that Photoshop couldn't perform the operation because there wasn't enough memory. It didn't crash but I had to shut down CS4 and restart it to do the warp.
Most recently I opened a couple images for a panorama, and while doing the merge I got the message that "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled gpu enhancements." It tells me to check for the latest drivers - I've ALREADY got the lastest drivers. Again, no crash, just the warning. It completed the panorama.
There have been a couple other occurrences of messages of this type, so I'm curious if there's some set of preferences or system settting I need to adjust to optimize things? I've alrady adjusted the nVidia settings because I also run Lightroom and they're having problems too.
I've read the tech notes for the video and such and didn't find any set of optimizations there so is there a set of adjustments beyond the preferences that needs to be adjusted to improve memory and video performance? And if so, can someone point me to them.As I understand it (suspect at best) XP32 can address 4 gig of memory. the /3gb switch lets the applications get at 3 gig of that. If my video card takes the first 256MB, and XP is guaranteed the other 750 of the 1st gig, and in the CS4 performance preferences I should be giving it from 1462 - 1895 MB (I've given it around 1890), that leaves me with another gig or so... Is that limited to applications or can XP use it? In any case, I'm not crashing, I just get the message every so often about being out of memory. itunes locks up my computer every time I try to start it. This has happened with the last few updates so I have not used it.

I am running windows 7 64bit, have a brother printer MFC-J4510W with the latest driver update, have Adobe reader 11.0.10.32 and as of today I cannot print any pdf files that before I could, all help appreciated
I followed the FAQ troubleshooting and that didn't helpHere is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -

Several other users have reported this same problem. Unplug the charger and then replug. It should resume to 100%.

apple new macbook pro dosent have a disk drive. Does the older model have a problem with the disc drive and so is removed in the new model?
No. Apple replaced the disk drive with a solid state drive (SSD) instead. The SSD is faster the old disk drive.

Have other users experienced problems with the app Drive Safe Mode? I can't use it, it's frozen, doesn't do anything at all. I use an iPhone5. I shut off the phone twice, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, nothing works. Tks for your help,

Satellite Pro A120: I have problems with the graphics driver installation for W2k
I have installed windows 2000 on an A120 the system is fully service packed and up to date before I even begin installing the required drivers I am unable to restart the system. Once I install the drivers as recommended I have problems with the graphics driver as it will not install because it requires a restart and then I am unable to install any new programs that require a restart as the driver has not installed correctly.
The laptop is a A120 Pro, 1 week old and came with XP home, because of this toshiba will not offer me support as I have changed the O/S even though they obviously support 2000 on this laptop as they supply the drivers.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.the reason the driver is not working is down to a problem with the windows 2000 not having the ability to reboot.
When you select restart the system appears to power down then stays switched on. Now if I try to install software I get an error saying that the system needs to complete a restart to finish the install of the driver.
The restart problem happens as soon as win2k is installed as although I have now shipped the laptop to the sales team I have another one which has just had a clean install of win2k without any drivers and the fault is present on this one.
I am thinking it could be to do with power management but I'm not to sure as I have never come across this as I normally purchase machines which accept just about any O/S.
