Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
You can try a hard reset to resolve this issue. A hard reset will erase all data on the device and restore settings back to default. For further information and instructions on resets please visit kb.palm.com and look up article number 43146 in the Solution I.D. search field.
Once a hard reset has been completed successfully and the device is restored, see if you are still experiencing the same problems with the microphone. If the problems still exsists you have a hardware issue and you will want to seek repair or replacement methods.
I hope this information is useful and please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Hm. I wrote that i tested my microphone(used pulsaudio server) with arecord and it worked fine, but skype has a problem - it not worked in it. Sounds in Skype works normally. Is not that enough? I understand that is a problem with Skype, but how it solve - I don't know, Google too.

He means that you need to provide more information and a good question. Looking at your post, we see that you use arch, have problems with skype and that the problem is with the microphone. There is nothing to go on here. Please try to provide some useful information and do some research. Also detail what you have already done (and read the link Alad posted, together with the forum policy).

  • Sync Problem with Treo 650

When I try to sync my Treo 650 with Oracle Calendar, it does not work,. The Oracle Calendar log says, "The sync client service could not find a mandatory preference." When I go into CalendarSync settings, there is no time zone selected, and there are no options to select -- the box is empty. I have found other threads on the web regarding this which suggest removing a registry entry which will then get CalendarSync to function properly, but that fix has not worked for me. Does anyone have a fix? Does Oracle know about this problem? judging from the postings on the web, lots of people are encountering it.

I have tried this fix that was posted on the forum, but it doesn't work. The date setting showed up in Calendar Sync settings, but as soon as I tried a HotSync it disappeared and my calendar did not synchronize. The following is the fix posted on the forum -- as far as I can tell, it does not work. Does anyone out there (Oracle people?) know what's going on?
"I was having the same problem on my Treo 650. Don't know if this will work for you, but it did for me (at least, it's working right at this moment).
"I'd installed Calendar Sync for Palm 10.1.1 on my Windows box and experienced "small heap" errors when syncing. At this point, I could see the timezone settings. Couldn't find anything on the small heap error, so I went to palm.com and downloaded/installed the latest Desktop software 4.1.4e, then reinstalled Calendar Sync. This is when I noticed there was a blank menu in the setup screen for the timezones. After poking around in the registry, I found the following:
    1. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Oracle\Calendar Sync for Palm" appears to contain all the correct calendar sync configurations settings.
    2. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Calendar Sync for Palm" also existed that basically contained blank keys. I deleted this hierarchy, went back to my settings, and the proper timezone showed up, along with all the other timezone settings.
I don't know if this was a fluke, or if it will continue to work, but the next time I synced, it worked.
After this worked, I uninstalled Calendar Sync and manually removed registry entry #1 aobve. I then reinstalled the Calendar Sync and checked the registry-- only the one mentioned in #1 was there, and everything worked fine. I'm curious to know if this works for you.

  • Problems with Treo 680 hotsync with exchange server with Outlook conduits

I have a Treo 680 set to sync with my companies exhange server for e-mail and calendar.
When the phone is docked, it will not perform any synching if I try to use the Hotsync feature.  It says that it syncs and doesn't give any errors during the Hotsync, but it doesn't actually sync anything.
The phone will sync wirelessly, though, and after several tries.  If I go to sync calendar, it gives an error:
"There was a problem syncing events.  There was a problem synchronizing with the server.  Please select the Sync button to try again."
When I try to sync again it gives another message:
"There was a problem syncing with the Exchange ActiveSync server.  Your next sync will take a little longer than usual.  Do you want to sync now?"
And if I select "Yes" it will sync wirelessly.  It receives all the items and does sync the calendar, but gives an error message:
"There was a problem syncing events." and if I click the details it says:
    "AirSAMStateMachine.c 1814 6 Server rejected device Add Status:6"
But, it does appear to have synced all the calendar items correctly.
Likewise, if I go to sync e-mails it does the same thing with the error details:
    "AirSAMStateMachine.c 3873 4 Sync key invalid, cmd: 4,status: 4"
And again, it will update the e-mails.  Also, if I set it to auto-sync e-mails, it will receive e-mails as soon as they arrive, but will always give that error message afterwards.
    Any thoughts?

No, that didn't work.  Although Hotsync says it is using Outlook for syncing Calendar, Tasks, etc., nothing is actually sent to the phone.  I have to do it wirelessly, which does sync but it gives those errors and takes a few tries.

    Edit:
Upon doing a hard reset and reinstalling everything, it works now.  Thanks.

  • Sync problem with TREO 680 - calendar sync times out

Hi all, perhaps someone can help. After updating the battery longer life package - which is working fine the the battery, no sync is possible any more.
Funny also for an unlocked TREO just Rogers and AT&T package is available for Europe - I selected the Rogers one - perhaps that is the problem.
By re-installing the whole software from CD and updating the sync SW from the palm sites, the sync process always stops when the calendar is going to be synchronized. Stops means loops, times out, ...
    Any idea?
    Thanks,

    il_drago,
The information you provied is great, thank you. This should resolve your problem:
Ok, first we need to see if you can sync without calendar checked. On your computer right click the hotsync icon and go to settings. Then click on applactions and uncheck Datebook. Close up the menus and try to hotsync if it syncs fine good continue on.
Next we need to install a program on to your device called DBFixit (here's the link http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm) Download this file on the right side of the page. Then install the application to the device. Once on the device open it up and tap on the blue bar but in the top left select delete calendar blobs and say OK or yes. Then keep running that till you have 0 listed or no blobs found. Then we are going to hotsync with calendar syncing from the device to the PC. Again right click the hotsync icon and go to custom. Then click on calendar and then change. Then select handheld overwrites desktop. Sync and post back if that fixed the issue.
If it did then we need to change the sync to sync the files and set that as default. To do that, again right click the hotsync icon and go to settings. Then click on applactions and check Datebook. You should be all set at that point.

  • Problem with treo 650 Palm OS Garnet 5.4.8 and Garnet development suit

    Hi All,
I like to develop application for Treo 650 having version Palm OS Garnet 5.4.8. But my installed Garnet OS Development Suit has default inbuilt sdk.
I have downloaded and installed latest sdk 5.6 for Garnet development from www.accessdevnet.com but how to integrate it with the suit ???
The built-in sdk is sdk-5r4 which uses TelephonyMgr.h for telephony but my treo 650 withdrawn supporting TelephonyMgr and uses other new library as I found in the PalmDeveloperGuide_PalmOs.pdf ....
"Treo smartphones have their own Phone library. The telephony header files
    TelephonyMgr.h, TelephonyMgrTypes.h, and TelephonyMgrUI.h are not
    supported in Treo smartphones."
And the inbuit sdk has TelephonyMgr instead of new telephony library. I have downloded and installed Palm SDK 5.6 found in accessdevenet.com but do not know how to integrate with Garnet development suit.
I can not start developing without the matching sdk.
    Please anybody help.....

  • Problems with webcam and microphone on Satellite with Windows 7

    Hi,
I have installed Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite and all of a sudden the webcam and the microphone won't work.
I have tried to find the appropiate drivers, but I can't seem to find any.
    Could anyone please help?
    best regards

    Hi
The webcam software is designed by Chicony.
Its notebook model independent and therefore the usage of webcam software which was released for other notebook models should not be a problem.
I recommend checking the driver area for Toshiba Satellite L500 series.
There you can download the drivers for Win 7 32bit and 64bit OS.

  • Extreme Problem with Disconnecting External Microphone and Headphone.

I just got my first Toshiba A355D-S6921 6OCT2009 Display. I can not remove External Head or Mic without a High Pitch Squeal since their is no External Volume control. Fixed only by Powering down the laptop. I could not take my external out to add someone elses. Could cause a person to wreck if your kids were using the computer in your car. What can I do to fix this problem?

That knob is indeed a volume-control dial. It's electronic; so it has no stopping point. Apparently, yours is not working.
Pressing Fn + Esc should mute the volume.

We have a GoDaddy's 256-bit SSL class 2 certificate could this be a culprit?

Did that certificate work with Exchange 2003 on the same host name? If so, then the certificate probably is not the culprit. If it's a new certificate or a new host name, you could search here for SSL threads. There may be issues with 128 vs. 256 bit certificates, and having the host name listed in the Subject Alternative Name field rather than being the main host name on the certificate.
I don't have any personal experience with 2010...

Have you tried another USB port?
Another thing to try would be to uninstall ActiveSync, delete the Microsoft ActiveSync folder under program files then reinstall activesync and try to sync again. (Trying both with and without Advance networking checked.)

  • Problem with syncing Treo 750

I just got an AT&T Treo 750 and am trying to set it up for syncing with my disktop computer running Windows XP Pro, SP3.
First, I am not an Outlook user, but figured out that I had to install that software to use ActiveSync. Second, I am not planning on using my 750 for email, and am only interested in syncing my Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks. It appeared that I did have to set up the 750 for email to get thngs started with ActiveSync, so I did that, too. Now when I attempt to sync I get this MS message:
Cannot syncronize with the Outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected. Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile. Support Code: 8503001f
What do I need to do to get the 750 and my computer to sync?
Second question: Is there any other syncing software I can use other than Outlook?
    Thanks - John

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. If the data is gone from your 750 and was never in outlook there is nothing I can do . But if you have your old device and are using Palm Desktop 4.1.4e we can get the data back to outlook so you can sync your data back to the 750.
Post back if you do not have Palm Desktop 4.1.4e
If you do great. All you need to do is go to Start-->Programs/All Programs-->Palm/Palmone-->PIM Conduit Sync--> Sync with Outlook. If it says you are already to sync with Outlook then good if not let it do its thing. After this what you need to do next is right click on the Hotsync Manager go to custom then click on Calendar and select change then select handheld overwrites desktop. Do the same for contacts, tasks, and memos.
Post back if you have more questions.
