Problem with Usage Dependencies

Hello,
we have a Web Dynpro Application (Migrating from 6.40 to 7.00) which uses Collaboration API: kmc.util.core_api.jar, coll.shared.roomobject_api.jar, coll.shared.types_api.jar and coll.shared.extension_api.jar.
I found in SLD the SC KMC COLLABORATION 7.00, which contains these DCs. I defined the dependency in SLD, imported the SCA KMCCOLL18P_1-10003493.sca.
But if i try to add the DC com.sap.netweaver.coll.shared to my Web Dynpro DC i get:
Illegal dependency: Access list does not allow use of sap.com/com.sap.netweaver.coll.shared for "my project".
We also need the following Jars (Dependencies):
com.sap.security.api.ep5.jar
prtapi.jar
bc.rf.global.service.urlgenerator_api.jar
com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf/bc.rf.framework_api.jar
com.sap.netweaver.bc.sf/bc.sf.framework_api.jar
com.sap.netweaver.bc.util/bc.util.public_api.jar
bc.uwl.service.api_api.jar
bc.uwl.service.api_core.jar
Any help would be appreciated to do this in NW04s with NWDI.

We do have NWDI based development several years now and we also have good experience with external library DCs:
1. Reuse DC in several Development DCs.
2. Central Upgrade of DCs, e.g new versions (SPS Upgrade, new version of 3rd Party libs).
3. Switching DCs between several developers (consultants, external devs, new collegues).
Only missing i would like, that ALL SAP DCs should be available in NWDI (e.g. UWL, Portal and KM Libraries and maybe others, which still have to added as external library DC).

That was the origin reason of this post:
Is it possible to replace our external lib DCs with a standard software dependecy in SLD? E.g. replace
- kmc.util.core_api.jar,
- coll.shared.roomobject_api.jar,
- coll.shared.types_api.jar
- coll.shared.extension_api.jar.

Going through the feedback and support pages will be a waste of your time. Apple won't respond to feedback, and support can't do anything regarding product suggestions, particularly not from a company with an existing product they wish to sell. The only attention you might get from Apple would be possible interest in selling your product through the Apple Stores, and I don't know how Apple chooses the third-party products they sell. All I could suggest would be writing to Apple's corporate headquarters:

Problems with DCs dependencies

Hi,
I have a problem using DCs dependencies and I don't know what is happening.
I've created a webdynpro (e.g. webdynpro WD_A) where model is defined in Public Part. This component is defined in track TR_A. When I import TR_A I can see this component in "Active DCs".
Then, I created a new webdynpro (webdynpro WD_B) using WD_A model, so there is a dependencie between WD_B which uses WD_A public part. This new component is defined in a new track TR_B.
My problem is that I can't see WD_A defined in WD_B. I've defined dependency in SLD but the development component containing model is empty. ¿How do I have to define dependency between components?
WD_A is built with no errors. It's deployed in development environment.
WD_B is being development.
I don't know where is the problem.
Any suggestion?

I defined a public part in WD_A that i want to see in WD_B. I defined SCs dependency in SLD.
My problem is that I cannot see WD_A public when I develop WD_B in NWDS. It seems to be ok in CBS, SLD... but configuration doesn't work fine in NWDS.
I don't know the exact problem. I'm working with 6.40SP15

Problems with usage bar in iTunes 12.1.0.71

Hello,
I'm having a problem with the usage bar in iTunes: the "apps" section of the usage bar will just disappear as I'm syncing/removing/adding music. Restoring my iPhone and uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes does not help. Anyone know why this is happening? It makes it hard to know how much space is remaining when the apps category disappears while I'm adding/removing music.

This doesn't make sense. Your statement "even though it's showing its connected" means that iTunes does see the iPad. Or am I misreading what you are saying?

Really weird problem with Usage Tracking!

Hi guys
We are running OBIEE 11.1.1.6.5 on Exalytics and allmost all is fine and dandy. We have though one weird problem. When we first enabled usage tracking, we sudddenly got some errors on some of our dashboards, saying that we didn't have the privilegies to create temporary tables. Allright we got our user (which is a shared user) the privilegies to create temporary tables, and the reports with the problems started working again! Awesome! But low and behold - then Usage Tracking stopped working, not a single mentioning in the logfiles about it. Maybe an error or, the acknowledgement that Usage Tracking has started, which is the normal.
So basically we are running without Usage Tracking because the reports that gives us the problems are deemed more important... which they might be, but thats different story...
Any ideas to what is going on here? We have collected Usage Tracking data, while the reports were broke, so im quite confident that the setup is correct. But why would it stop, when giving "create table" privilege to our shared user?

What is the setting for UsageTrackingDirectInsert?
Have you tried chaging the output to file instead of database?

Having problems with usage on my phone - in serious need of help

My phone continues to say that the "other" on it is taking up 3.3 GB - all other people I know with the iPhone have other taking up only about 1 GB on their phones. I do not even have an entire GB used up with apps, and I have almost 2 GB used up for music - I recently had to delete all my photos to put on a few more songs. I would really like to know why it says my usage is taking up so much room and how I can fix it so that it is actually correct so that I can put the things I want on my phone.

Problems with dependencies in SDM

Hi all,
I have some problems with the dependencies check in SDM.
Some time ago we have created several custom PAR files for our internal Portal. As it takes some time to upload all these PAR files manually we created EAR files out of these PAR files and bundled them into an SCA file.
As theses EAR files needs to be deployed in a certain order we managed to create specific dependencies between these EAR files.
Up to now everything worked fine.
But now we have a new challenge. Due to a structure change we needed to create new PAR files which change the dependency hierarchy. When we now create EAR files and bundle them to an SCA file we get an error message when trying to upload the files via SDM.
The SDM then throws following error:
For each of the listed SDAs (contained in the selected SCA) SDM has detected an SDA in its repository with identical development component attributes but with a different software type or with a different set of dependencies.
example:
in the past we had two PAR file "appA.par" and "appB.par". "appA.par" depends on "appB.par" and "appB.par" depends on the SAP Portal Runtime PAR file. (So "appB.par" needs to be deployed first).
Now we have three PAR files "appA.par", "appB.par" and "appC.par". "appA.par" does not depend any longer from "appB.par" but from "appC.par". Trying to deploy these files now via SDM throws an error telling that SDM can't upload the SCA file as "appA.par" should depend on "appB.par" and not on "appC.par"...
Is there any way to switch off this dependency check for custom components or to reset or avoid it somehow else.
What I want to avoid is to undeploy all the PAR files deployed so far as the list of PAR files is very big and the SDM undeployment tool is not very handy...

Hi,
I don't have a good answer to your question (other than undeploy them which you would like to avoid , but what I usually recommend for PAR transport is to have a dummy portal component for each of them (in the portal-app.xml) and create an iview of it in a special folder. Then just transfer all the iviews in a transport package, select include dependencies (<yournamespace_prefix>.*) and you have a standard portal transport package with all your pars.. Beats waiting for the SDM to start up

Problem with TOAD

Hi all,
I've problems with usage of Toad by developers deploying and monitoring on a production environment, that causes performance problems.
In particular addm reported that there is a statement (select from GV$SESSION) frequently launched by Toad that impacts on DB performance (even if i suppose that this kind of statement does not have great cost in terms of resource usage).
How can i prevent, if possible, this kind of problem (suggesting some good rules to my colleagues or changing toad settings)?
How can i block access to the database through toad?

In addition to blocking access via TOAD, or any other tool, you can limit the user's access to the catalog. One way to do this...
Create a new role something like APP_DEVELOPERS
grant select on prod tables to APP_DEVELOPERS
grant any subordinate roles necessary to APP_DEVELOPERS
grant create session to APP_DEVELOPERS
grant select on DBA_ tables you wish the developers to see.
DO NOT grant any privileges on V$ views (or underlying tables).
Grant this role to your developers.
Revoke all system privileges and other roles from your application developers.
Now you have restricted the activities of your application developers in production, regardless of the tool they use.

Problem with JTree and memory usage

I have problem with the JTree when memory usage is over the phisical memory( I have 512MB).
I use JTree to display very large data about structure organization of big company. It is working fine until memory usage is over the phisical memory - then some of nodes are not visible.
I hope somebody has an idea about this problem.

55%, it's still 1.6Gb....there shouldn't be a problem scanning something that it says will take up 300Mb, then actually only takes up 70Mb.
And not wrong, it obviously isn't releasing the memory when other applications need it because it doesn't, I have to close PS before it will release it. Yes, it probably is supposed to release it, but it isn't.
Thank you for your answer (even if it did appear to me to be a bit rude/shouty, perhaps something more polite than "Wrong!" next time) but I'm sitting at my computer, and I can see what is using how much memory and when, you can't.

I find a solution, which is perhaps the most logical, I have made a backup of all files that were in conflict at the time of installation, I saved your previous paths and I've erased, because if some program dependeds of apr-util, to be reinstalled when this was installed kdesdk, there should be no conflict.
In this way, I've installed the package kdesdk with the dependencies that were missing. Finally, I already have installed kate.

Problem with memory usage and CPU usage

Hello,
i have a problem with the memory usage and cpu usage in my project!
My application must run for more than 24 hrs. The problem is that the longer it runs the bigger is the memory and cpu usage!
It starts with ~15% CPU usage and ~70 MBytes memory usage. After ~ 24hrs the CPU usage is ~60% and the memory usage is ~170 MBytes!
After 3 days the CPU usage is almost about 70% and the memory usage is about 360 MBytes!
What can I do to reduce this huge recource usage?

   I think the issue is memory usage, since CPU usage can increase due to greater memory requirements.
   Anyway, it's difficult to debug without seeing your code, can you post it (possibly for LV 7.1 compatibility)? Or just post a JPEG of the piece of code that can give problems...
   I guess you're appending data to an array instead of replace data elements, but I can't be sure...

Problem with Clip Usage and merged clips in CS6

The 'Clip Usage' drop-down menus don't seem to work in Premiere CS6 for merged clips. The info bar at the top of the project window correctly lists the number of times the viedo and audio from the clip has been used, and the downward-pointing arrow appears, but when you click on it... nothing happens. Same's true of the 'Video Usage' column in the main body of the project window. Non-merged clips work just fine.
Anyone know if this is just a problem with my project, or if it's a bug in Premiere? Had a lot of trouble with merged clips in CS5.5, and was hoping they'd be solved by CS6 - I've been using Creative Suite for a long time, and the lack of good merged clips support was always one of the challenges in persuading other indie editors to switch over from FCP...

I guess they just have to weigh that up against the lack of support they got from Apple for FCP in its entirety.

I encountered the same type of problem. Firefox running terribly slowly and slowing down my entire machine (Core i5 with 256GB SSD). Searching the forums, I found a couple of things about troubleshooting performance issues, one of which was to use '''hardware acceleration''', that is on by default. It was turned on on my PC, '''so I tried deactivating it, and it worked!'''
So doing the exact opposite as Mozilla support said solved the problem. It is really a pain now to work with Firefox. I'm using it because I have no choice, but I'd recommend IE and Chrome over Firefox... Whatever, the market will decide once Firefox has become to crappy...
