Problem with user having folders created in Outlook

Hello,
I have a user who has folders being created in their account without their interaction. There are no filter rules in place and junk mail is turned off. One of the folders was named Junk and
set up as a subfolder in the inbox and that was where internal email was being sent. Other folders s a problem on our Exchange server but don't know where to look. Any advice?

Hi Eric,
Does the issue happen in OWA? Please check whether their is any Inbox rule setting there. And the folder may be created by other users who have related permission to this mailbox or folder. Please check it.

Problem with users disabling ARD client service

I've got a problem and i'm not quite sure of the work around. I'm a PC guy by nature and can't quite figure this out.
I'm having a problem with users disabling the ARD service from the sharing menu. Unfortunately users need to have admin privleges to do their work so I can't simply give them a standard account.
I've hidden the ARD user account i created from the login window through Netinfo, but I need to find a way to stop users from shutting the ard service down.
They don't seem to understand that the company requires that it be on the computer. Now, I'm the one who is set as the admin for ARD in the building, however we really just use it to rollout drivers, install packages, and its a lifesaver for remotely fixing problems with programs. The company didn't really buy it to spy on the employee's.
Is there any way to hide the service from an admin level account? Or keep them from shutting it down?
BTW, this would have to be done on multiple machines running both panther and tiger.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm not quite sure where to start.

First, as a matter of policy, let them know this service is active, and needs to remain active. If they disobey this instruction and turn it off, you have a human resources issue, not a technical issue.
Second, there are very few enterprise users that need admin access to their machines. Oh, they ALL think they do, and there will be howling when non-admin status is first imposed, but we have 350 users in a publishing environment with less that 20 setup as admins. Those users are almost all superusers who assist others in a technical role.
We have far fewer software problems like this and with ARD, IT can install/ authorize installation of software remotely should a user need that. It simply does not dramatically impact our users to have non-admin access. On the other hand, we recognize that a FEW users will need more access, and grant that on a case-by-case basis.

Problem with user mapping

We got a problem with user-mapping to a SAP system.
We create a SAp system, and an alias to this system.
We add a user mapping for the administrator (user, not group). Check for connector is OK.
Now, we make the same user-mapping for a group.
if the user also belongs to the group "administrator" this mapping works, otherwise this fail with a message <b>"com.sapportals.portal.ivs.cg.SystemNotFoundException: Got null system object for alias R3HR".
</b>After checking, there is no user-mapping for the "administrator" group, nor for the roles that belong to that group, nor for the user.
So, it seem that the alias is only visible for an admin.
does any one got an idea ? we are on SP14, Linux.

HI Guillaume,
The user mapping is available for both Admin as well as end users.
Open your system from System Administration>System Configuration>System Landscape.
In the property editor,in dropdown for property category,
select the logon method as UID?password and User Mapping type to admin/user.
Then you can create a Group,map the system alias for this group and add users to this group.
Also,in the property editor for the system,from dropdown for display,select permissions , and add the group to asssigned permissions as READ ONLY and select the checkbox for ENDUSER.

I am running mozilla firefoz 5.0 and the only option that is coming to me is to create folder in CA.
even though SAP recommands IE and allows portal from Mozilla, the later seems to have serious issues with Portal.
I remember working with several versions of mozilla, sometimes you right click, all option will come but you will be unable to choose options coz when u bring cursor to them they will skid here and there..
I hope no SAP note elobrates this as of now.

When I use the installer that I created in the console ESSO-Logon Manager for 32-bit, this I install it on the client side and when I synchronize with the console-Logon Manager ESSO brings me and I can see the agent all the templates I configured.
I have a problem with the agent console created in the Logon Manager ESSO-64bit.
When I use this installer on the client stations and then by the agent does not envision the applications that I have configured in the console.
This causes you can not do single sign on to applications that I have configured in the client stations
To generate this installer use the source name: ESSO-LMx64.msi
Can someone please help me with this problem, this only happens when I use the msi installer on 64-bit client stations.

On or Curve 8900 from the Home screen > click Options > Click Advanced Settings > SIM Card > Highlight the phone number > Press the Menu key and click Edit SIM Phone Number > Check that field or Enter you Mobile number in that field .

Having problem with user

Oracle manages an user when i create an user. But if i have multiple tables for various users how can i link oracle user with his permitted table?
Let there are two different categories of users such as subscriber and moderator. User is granted user table and moderator is granted both moderator and user table. When any user logs on the db how can i detect whether the user is a subscriber or moderator?

why do you need it ? you can grant rights only to the specific table ?

Problem with users Sent folder

I have a problem with a users sent folder. If you login to uwc and go to manage folders it says that they are using 30mb. If you go into the folder it only shows 3 messages for a total of 250kb. If I physically look at the mailbox on the server I see all 30 mb.
I figure no problem, I will run a reconstruct -r user/username
That did not resolve the problem, so I ran reconstuct -r -f user/username
That also did not resolve them problem.
I than ran a reconstuct -q which did not find anything wrong.
I tried removing the store.* files and rerunning reconstuct -r -f user/username.
It rebuild the store.idx files but I still could not see the emails in UWC or thunderbird.
I am running JES2005q4 patch -53. Anybody have any suggestions.

I will test this therory out.
I did try removing of the store.* files in the sent folder before I read your email. I ran reconstuct -r -f user/username and the messages did not show up. The the two messages that I could see before were visible under UWC and thunderbird. The other 5 messages could not be seen.
I would have thought that doing that would have made all the messages visible to the user again?
The user is using mozilla 1.6 and I am having them upgrade to the lastest version.
As a side note, I have also logged in as this user and can not see any of these messages no matter what I do. Just kind of weird.

Problems with User & permissions

I am hoping someone can help me, I wasn't sure what category to post this under as i don't know what is the culprit but I am having issues that I think begun with mobileme and have snowballed.
I trialled mobile me when i got my imac, but i found i didn't really use it enough to justify continuing when the trial finished, when i stopped using it, i just unticked a box (and i think maybe i should've turned off all the sync settings first).
I then began to notice that events wouldn't delete from Ical, and i was getting strange double ups on my Ipod. I followed the instructions from the discussions to reset the sync settings and delete .plist etc but it didn't fix it.
I ended up deleting the preferences and the calenders and re-importing them. This fixed it.
I recently updated to 10.5.7 and software updates also updated bluetooth firmware update.
I now find that my dock settings don't stay when i restart (may have been an issue before but i hadn't tried to change anything so don't know). I can set the dock up the way i want it, but when i restart it goes back to the way it was - not just positions on bar, but icons etc not there, things i have taken off are back.
Reading the discussions, i created a new user and it doesn't have the same problems.Points to issue with user account ?
I have deleted the com.apple.dock.plist, run repair permissions several times, but it still doesn't fix the error.
Also after start-up the bluetooth firmware update is open and running, everytime.
When i look Account settings under login items, bluetooth firmware application is there, but if i remove it, it comes back. Also there is Appigo Sync (under kind it says unknown).
Is there a way to repair whatever is wrong with the software settings without deleting everything?

none of your problems appear to have anything to do with permissions.
start by resetting your mobileme sync data

if that doesn't help delete the entire contents of the folder /users/username/library/application/support/isync/synclocalcopy and log out/in.

Problem with USER as default on column after upgrade to 10.2

We recently upgraded to 10.2 from 10.1, running on microsoft 32 bit (Windows 2003).
We have been using the same DB structure since Oracle 7.x and have not had a problem using USER as a default on a varchar2(30) column until now. The column value is being left NULL.
If I set the default to rtrim(USER) then the column is correctly filled with the logged in user.
If I create a new table with the same size column and set USER as the default it works correctly.
If I set it in the before trigger it works.
If I set the value of the column to USER in the insert it does NOT work, it leaves it NULL.
I have looked at user_tab_columns between the column not working and the newly created table that is working and see no difference.
Can anyone give me some suggestions on what else to look for? It feels like a problem with having brought the tables over from a previous version of Oracle.

Help! Stupid problem with user accounts!

I got a very old, very cheap laptop (original ibook clamshell). The Short Name referred to one of the previous owners. I had a vague idea of changing it, but realised this might be difficult. I haven't really got a rescue CD at present; the OS must have gone through several OS versions on the way, and it won't run Tiger which is what I have on my desktop.
The OS is up to late Panther. I haven't had any problems with it. Having some time on my hands, I picked up an O'Reilly book on 'Panther hacks', and went through the 'Change Short Name' routine with netinfo. Before doing this, I made sure there werent any document files on the machine I'd be bothered about losing. It has less than 1Gb hard drive space, so I've never regarded it as a machine to keep things on.
Went through the process of doing this, and moving the home directory, without problems.
Logged out. Discovered that there were two users with my name because I'd also created another user with my name but realised that the main account with the Short Name will run the machine. Logged in, and deleted one of them into Deleted Users.
This took a suspiciously long time; I suspect I deleted the main user by mistake. Yes, I realise this was a Bad Thing.
Suddenly, instead of having two administrator accounts with my name, I have one standard account with my name. (Yes, both accounts were administrator accounts before I deleted the wrong one by accident...)
I haven't particularly lost data, because any data created on Methuselap the Ancient of Days's minuscule hard drive gets networked straight over to my main desktop, and I don't have a login password set (again, anything that needs to be secure can go on a flash drive or the desktop), I'm annoyed (mostly at my own stupidity) that I am now no longer able to fix my privileges to set myself up as admin.
Has anybody got any particular bright ideas for what to do next?

Problem with users accessing sharepoint 2013 site collection

I have an unbeliveable problem..
I have a sp site with several site collections..
I have around 15 users.. Everybody have access to the root site. Two users do not have access to site collections even though they are in EXACTLY same permission groups like other users who can access those site collections!
I tried to delete them from all user groups in SP, then delete their user profiles in Central Administration, and delete them from Active Directory. After that I recreated their profiles in Active directory, readded them to Central Administration, and again
added them to coresponding groups in SharePoint site collections. They again CAN NOT ACCESS site collections.
What should I do.. This is incredible that 5 users with the same user privileges can access site collections, and 2 can not, even though they are all created in the same way..

Problem with FTP Adapter in creating a new Folder

I have a requirement in which a BPEL process shud create a folder named as sysdate dynamically and write a
CSV file into that.(ex: PO/2010-03-09/PO_1.csv).I created a header variable for Oubound FTP adapter and
passing the file directory as concat('PO/',xp20:current-date(),'/') to outbound header directory variable.Problem is FTP
adapter is not creating the sysdate folder its says:1.check u have privileges 2.file name is too long....Blah....Blah.
But i have all the privileges for that user.If i manually create the sysdate folder the FTP adapter is placing the CSV
file.The same works fine with file adapter...but i need to use FTP since the FTP server can change in future.Seems to
be a problem with FTP adapter....can some one help.

Extremely annoying problem with user folder name in windows 8.1

Here is the thing:
Friend of mine bought the laptop (very strong and expensive asus - republic of gamers) with installed windows 8.1 on it, but after a few days only I bought that computer from him because he didn't need it and he didn't use it at all!
But, his name stayed in the windows. I changed all user accounts names and everything which was possible to be changed, but when i go to C/users his name is still there on folder!
I can say it is very annoying because that laptop cost almost 3.000 USD and I still need to look at someone else's name in my user folder!
I tried to change "ProfileImagePath" in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ .... but after that windows logged in as a temporary profile and I spend another hour to figure out
how to reverse the thing!
How is possible that some so basic and simple things can't be changed at all in newest windows??? Only because some name was entered first it's not possible to be changed ever again???? Seriously?

You know: "C:/Users/"user name"
All the links you are giving to me doesn't provide any concrete answer to this question. I spent hours and hours googling and researching about this question and only solution which i found is that i need to create completely new user account and delete completely
the old one, just to be able to remove an old name of user folder! Are you kidding me?

Ok, i came back to edit this post because i have a feeling that maybe you don't understand the question and giving me this link because maybe you simply don't know that when you go to:
Control panel/user accounts/change your account name... and change the name, and after that, when you go to C:/users, the folder with the user name still have an old user name. Which means that any changes in control panel or anywhere else doesn't make any
changes on C:/users/ folder itself!!!!!
In previous windows versions was possible to change it by editing "ProfileImagePath" in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ ....
But when I try to do that in Windows 8.1, when I reboot computer it logs in with some temporary account, so i need to reverse everything to be able to use computer with the real account!
So basically it seems that is absolutely impossible to change user folder name in Windows 8.1, which is simply unbelievable!
I really think i explained very good now.
