Problem with videos in itunes not on my ipod

I have videoes in my movie folder
In my ipod settings i have enabled the videos to be updatedd to my ipod but it hasn't worked
any ideas???
they are in mpeg form i think

You must Convert file to mp4 some files from Itunes are not in that format.
I personally use Format Factory (http://www.formatoz.com/) Works really well.

Can you let me know what specific model laptop you are using? Also let me know what operating system you are currently working. Try using Spotify with headphones to see if you are able to hear sound. To me this sounds like an installation issue. I would go ahead and completely uninstall Spotify and then reinstall it since this issues does not occur using the web browser. Do you have sound in any other applications?

Problems with video and iTunes 7.0

I recently upgraded to iTunes 7.0 (and quicktime as well) and everything seems to work ok except the videos I have on my iPod will not play, in fact my iPod shows that I have no videos, but my library shows them and I can view them through my computer; just not my iPod. Any ideas out there?

I'm also having similar problems (audio becomes unsync'd and often playback begins stuttering), but found a work-around. In my case these are video podcasts, so here's what I've been doing. Right-click the podcast and select "Show in Windows Explorer." The file will be highlighted so double-click it to have it played by QuickTime. Some file types may not be registered with QT, so if you get prompted to pick the program to use with the file, select the QuickTime Player.
For some strange reason, the videos play back perfectly OUTSIDE of iTunes 7.0.1.8 (also happened in 7.0). So I don't think it's any of the pat answers that ignore iTunes as a culprit.

First of fall, forgive my poor english.
So, here is the issue:
Friday night, I decided to download (location) a film my Ipad thanks to Itunes.
It costed 3.99euros.
But Itunes is not very clear on the location's rule: one time i read "you have 48h to watch the location", an another time i read "you have 30 days", so as one time i read "The duration of the location is 48h/30 days once the downloading is over", and i also read "The duration of the location is 48h/30 days once the video is launched".
**** Itunes, you seem to be quite complicated.
Whatever, the duration of the download was about 366 hours (Yeah, I know...) but my internet connexion is very good. (Even if the video is in HD)
So, after 10 hours of download, I decided to watch the first 5 minutes. After what, the next day, my location isn't in my videos anymore!!!
1/ I paid for a service that i didn't consume. Ironic thing: the download wasn't over. So I paid for something I've never had. Congrats Itunes...
So, I send a mail to the Apple Support to explain my problem.
No answer, as I was expecting.
Yesterday, I decided to pay (a second time, for the same film........) again.
The download has been finished in my office where the internet seem to be much better. (6.2Go / 6.2Go)
But the little low-rise which show the advancment of the download isn't totally blue, as if it was still downloading.
Moreover, I can't even watch the video.
"The video could'nt have been charged".
Someone could help me?
Naturally, I asked for a commercial gesture, it's the least they can do to have waste my time and my money.

You have a 30 day window in which you can watch a rental movie from iTunes. So if you download the movie and don't want to watch it right away, you have 30 days from the day that you downloaded it in order to view it.
Once you start watching the movie, you have 24 hours to view it in the U.S. and 48 hours in other countries. Once you start the movie, you start the countdown for that 24 or 48 hour period. Even if you only watched 2 minutes of the movie - that starts the 24 or 48 hour countdown.
Look at this kb article and see if the instructions posted in it work for you to resume the download.

Problem with Video going to Movie Section of iPod. Can't Remove.

Here's the deal:
I have an iPod-friendly video I want to store in my 60GB iPod Video. I create a new playlist in iTunes and put the video(s) in that new playlist. I play them under:
Main Menu > Videos > Video Playlists > *Playlist Name* > *Video Clip*
It plays fine. I want to get rid of those videos to make room for other content. I can delete the playlist through iTunes, but I find that these videos are still in my iPod under:
Main Menu > Videos > Movies
How can I completely (other than wiping my iPod clean) get rid of these videos individually?

Deleting from a playlist in iTunes simply removes the video from the playlist. You have to actually delete the video through the iTunes "Library" or "Videos" section. Then when you sync the iPod they will be gone.

Problem with artwork in iTunes 7

Since i got iTunes 7 a strange error started in my ipod video 60gb(fully updated):
First, the ipod was not showing any artwork. Then i tried to uncheck the "display artwork" field, and press apply. Then check the field againd, and press apply again. It started to optimize my artwork, but by the middle of the process, this error happened: "The ipod "Flavio" cannot be updated. An unknown error occurred
(-50).". I started searching in the internet what could this error be, and found that it is a communication problem, or something like that, but could be caused by bad (corrupted maybe) pictures, photos or artwork. I erased them all (even all the artwork) and tried the uncheck-check process again, and the same error happened. I read that it could be lack of space in my computer, but right now there are 6.6gb of free space in my c: (is it enough?) and the error still happens.
Today i plugged my ipod on a computer with iTunes 6, tried the uncheck-check process again, and surprise, it worked! Unplugged the ipod, tried playing the only song with artwork remaining, and it worked too! So i came back home and tried again with itunes 7, but the error happened again, tried the song and the artwork wasn't showing again... Ok, so i tried with a laptop, itunes 6, and it worked perfectly again, then i thought "The problem can be happening just on my computer". Updated the laptop itunes, tried unchecking-checking again, and it seemed to work, no errors, but when i played the song on ipod, the artwork was gone again! Just like when the error happened... Tried again, no errors, no artwork, tried back on my computer, error, no artwork.
2 itunes 6 -> worked, 2 itunes 7 -> problems. The only possible conclusion is that there is a bug in this new itunes, or a new way of dealing with artwork (by itunes, not by the users). Am i right? Or can anyone help me?
I was thinking about restoring, but as i am adding everything by hand, nothing automatic, it could take a lot of time to choose everything again, and to make all the playlists again... And after seeing that this could be a bug, and could happen again, i decided to post everything here before restoring, to see if there is a better solution.

there is some problem with i tunes 7(the7.0.1 patch also) in that any artwork found by i tunes is visible whilst viewing tracks in your library if you transfer said tracks to your ipod then the artwork is not transferred,also it you use album artwork as your screensaver then artwork found by i tunes is not used. i can only think that something is not beeing written to the id tags of the tracks. any artwork found by yourself and dragged into the relevant box on the track or album information screen(called up by apple+i)is seen on itunes and by the screensaver. i have spoken to apple support and they assured me that they would get back to me as they had to investigate.that was a month ago. if the problem really bugs you then you can drag artwork found by itunes onto your desktop and then back into the tracks id screen. this remedys the problem but is tedious to say the least. hope this helps

Synching with Videos App does not work correctly

Got a couple of problems. I'm trying to get some mp4 movies onto the Videos App's library. There is a similar problem with synching the iTunes University content.
I added the mp4 movies to my iTunes library, synched them eith my iPad. They show up in the Films section of the iPad directories, but I can't get to them on the iPad itself.
iTunes also shows that 65 files have been copied to the iTunes University section on the iPad, but only 1 file is available on the iPad itself.
PLEASE has anyone got an idea what's going on, what I'm doing wrong?
Oh, btw, I can copy the mp4 files over by sharing with wth iFiles App and then watch them on there so I believe they must be compatible....

Try this:
• Turn the iPad off and on again (hold the sleep/wake button for about 3 seconds until a red slider appears with the label "slide to power off")
• If it din't help, try a hard reset - hold the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously for about 6 seconds, until the iPad tunes off. Then turn it on again.
• Go to "Settings - General - Reset" and choose "Reset All Settings"
• If it does not help, restore the firmware with iTunes - IMPORTANT, don't let iTunes use one of your backups… set it up as a new device.

I have never had a problem with projecting an itunes movie before this. Someone told me that i-tunes changed something so that movies can no longer be projected. We have a home theatre and have watched movies this way quite regularly, so it would be a drag if Apple will prevent us from doing this in the future.

I don’t know about projection, but I’m unable to watch HD content in iTunes because my Apple 30-inch Cinema Display is not HDCP-compliant (which is part of an HD copy-protection scheme).
The other movies you’ve projected, were they HD as well? If not, it could be the same problem: your projector is not HDCP-compliant.

Has anyone with the iPhone had a problem with 7.3 itunes?

I'm curious to know if people who bought the iphones have had the same problems with 7.3 itunes that seems so prevalent on the discussion board (like getting the error message in saving the library file, or frequent crashes).
I'd love to know, because if not, then it seems as if 7.3 is designed specifically for the iPhone (supposedly the iPhones only works with 7.3), and that may be why the rest of us non-iphone consumers are having a miserable time with the upgrade.

I have an iPhone and since I've upgraded to 7.3, iTunes constantly stops responding and I've had to force quit. I've reinstalled iTunes countless times and deleted the iTunes preferences in my library file and while this works for 1 or 2 times, it soon does it all over again. Help!
