Problem with viewing videos in Full Screen
I have created a playlist containing numerous music videos in iTunes Windows XP. I have no problem entering Full Screen, but at various points of time, the full screen will cut out reverting back to the smaller size. It seems to happen after about 2 hours but usually on a different video. When I reset it to Full Screen again, it will stay for another long period but always drop back to the smaller size at some point. I have reinstalled iTunes but the problem persists. Any ideas how to correct?
I have the same problem, anything I try to do in full screen just pops right back down to the previous screen. If I play a video I can hear it, but I can't see it.

Viewing videos in full screen or at least 2x
I watch a lot of streaming video on Safari (I don't have a TV). CNN, Jon Stewart, etc. On a Windows PC, I am able to right click an select a zooming choice (full screen. Do I need to download IE or Netscape for MAC?
Another question, somewhat related. Is anyone else watching Frontline PBS online and not able to use the Real Player link (the audio is fine, but the video plays more like a slide show)?
Thanks for reading this.I just found an interesting apple support document that says that in mobile me, videos published by imovie and final cut etc can be viewed full screen , but ones published by aperture 3 cannot. So this implies that aperture has a problem with full screen video.... I think.
So for now, the way I found , which is to make the move a slide show, and then view the slide show seems to be the only way to view movies in full screen in Aperture 3... But it is very odd to have to do that!.... -

Impossible to view videos in full screen mode
I realise an animation in Flash thinking it will allow to produce a more powerfull presentation than Powerpoint. It includes some videos of about 1' in .fl4 format that are in a separate file. I published this animation in .swf; and in standalone projectors for Mac and PC .exe and .app. It works well in normal mode, videos are running perfectly. But in Full screen it blocks when it get to a frame with a video, showing a black screen and freezing the animation. It does exactly the same with checking, unchecking "material acceleration" both in the Flash player when running the .exe or .swf or .app file or in the exportation (publication) parameters of the .fla file. I also try to play the .swf file in Chrome or Firefow instead of Flash Player : same problem. It does also the same on the several machines (Windows and Mac) of a museum that is supposed to run the presentation. I used Plash Player 10, then 11 and 12 version : same problem.
Result : in normal mode the presentation is dirty and it is really ruining more than three weeks of hard work.
I get through hundreds of Google searches without finding any solution.
Thank for your help. Before tomorrow if possible...

Windows 7Think of Full Screen Mode like a browser that let's you watch a movie. If you stop before it ends, it remembers your place and lets you take up where you left off the next time you come back.
Move your cursor down toward the bottom middle of the full screen view. You will see a cover flow view, and you can select the project you want to view. -
I cannot view videos in full screen using Flash Player
I currently have Windows 8. I was pulling up some videos to get ready to watch some football games through a website. The video plays just fine until I tried to make it full screen. Then the screen is black but the audio continues just fine. I've tried all of the fixes that I can find with no luck in resolving the issue. According to Adobe's website, Flash Player is already embedded in Internet Explorer for Windows 8, so I cannot technically "install" it. According to Adobe's website, I have the most current version.
Please help! The game is on Saturday!Ugh! This is why I don't use Internet Exploder. May I suggest downloading Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/), and the Flash Player (Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)) for it, and see if it works better? I'll bet it does.

Problem exist only on YouTube. When i want get full screen, I have black screen with audio. If I click few times full screen button it helps, but I want to go to full screen by one click.
If i turn off hardware acceleration everything is ok but vids looks terrible.
I have this problem with Flash Player 10. No 9 works good, but some websites wants no. 10Generaly FP works, but problem is that i must press few times full screen button. Now i have turn off hardware accelleration, but movies are quite bad.
I have already installed newest graphic drivers but it didn't help.
Everything was good unless Flash Player and Mozilla notificated that update is necessary :< -
Problem with viewing video upload on Ideapad Yoga 11S ultrabook
Hi all, this may be a very basic question as I am not very technical... I have just today started using a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S. (It is Windows 8 with basic Office for home and students loaded on.
I've been sent a video quick link via Media Silo I need to watch and make notes from. For some reason, I cannot maximise the video so it fills the IdeaPad screen. The bottom half of it is off screen so I cannot ff or rw or use the slide to change position.
Any suggestions most welcome.
GuyHi guyjevans,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that the online video is not playing in full screen mode in your Yoga 11s Laptop, please ensure that the display driver is installed and the browser is installed with Adobe Flash Player so that the online video feature can be used, below is the link to download the display drivers if it is not installed and also the link to download the adobe flash player for the computer.

Problem with viewing videos on computer
Hi,
When I watch my rushes on my computer (Full HD) it takes all the screen.
Bur after editing on Premiere, when I export a video file as .avi and watch it on the computer, it doesn't take full screen. It's always been like that with all the version I used. So before buying Premiere for sure I want you to explain me why this is happening and how I can fix it. I want to watch my export on a full screen Full HD and it takes the entire screen, exactly like when I watch my rushes.
Thanks>export a video file as avi
What codec are you using inside that AVI wrapper?
Are you using an HD codec when you export, or an SD codec?
Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037

Serious problem with the speed of full screen textField animation
I can't find any proper way to make a long textField move
fluently horizontally across the screen in full screen mode. I
tried many ways but it always gets stuck from time to time for a
few milliseconds and ruins the whole experience. Please, if someone
can help me to find a way to best animate a large dynamic string on
full screen, I would be very grateful.
Thank you.
P.S. If there is a better way then using a textField to have
a fluent animation, please tell me and I'll try using a different
object for my string. From your previous post I understand you use Tween to animate
the thing. Perhaps it is worth either exploring other tweening
engines (Tweener or TweenLite) or writing your custom one.
Before you do that I would give Tween one more shot and see
what and when happens when you use Tween class.
Tween has event TweenEvent.MOTION_CHANGE. You can add a
listener for this event and trace inside it:
trace(getTimer() + " : " + myText.x + " : " +
event.target.position);
This may provide information about how smooth the timing of
movement is and how evenly position is set.
I realize that the issue is in full screen mode and trace is
not possible, so, perhaps, you need another TextField on stage that
will out put this values:
Inside listener:
debugText.appendText(etTimer() + " : " + myText.x + " : " +
event.target.position + "\n");
As for the custom animation, the way to go could be using
Timer class.
First of all, to make sure there is a full understanding of
what happens in terms of frames, the following needs to be kept in
mind (forgive me if I am beating dead horse):
Look at Flash frames not as "physical" entities but as pieces
of code that executes before screen refreshes. So, when you set
frame rate to 20 - Flash JUST schedules every screen refresh every
50 milliseconds. Does it refresh every 50 milliseconds? NOPE! It
refreshes ONLY when ALL the code pertaining to particular frame is
executed. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Frame rate is the directive that
in simple language states: "Refresh screen NOT MORE OFTEN than N
times a second if all the code is executed." So if the the next
refresh is scheduled in 50 milliseconds but code took 100
milliseconds to execute - screen is refreshed in 100 ms. In the
example when frame rate is 20 but every frame code takes 100 ms
your actual frame rate is 10 frames per second.
This discrepancy is usually the reason for jerky animation.
So, there are two solution: 1) create Timer based animation
or 2) create a velocity based animation.
Timer based animation
There is a very nice method of Timer, Mouse and Keyboard
events. The method is updateAfterEvent(). This method forces screen
to refresh/render INDEPENDENT of frame rate. Even if you frame rate
is only 2 fps - you can have 100 screen updates/refreshes per
second effectively making frame rate 100 fps. This makes it much
more reliable. (With all fairness, even Timer deep inside relies on
base frame rate which imposes some limitations on Timer. But for
now let's assume it doesn't).
In this approach you will instantiate a Timer class -->
add timer event listener --> on every iteration move the object
to desired position --> invoke event.updateAfterEvent() inside
the listener. VIOLA! You know that user sees what s(he) has to.
Velocity based animation
This approach relies on Event.RENDER.
Say you still decide to use Tween ENTER_FRAME. So, you will
need to have velocity variable.
Besides other listeners you will need to add say
this.addEventListener(Event.RENDER, render);
function render(event:Event){
// move the thing where is is supposed to be based on
velocity
// perhaps needs additional calculations base on time or
something
So, these are outlines of possible approaches.
Hope it helps.

, and the video disappears. Any idea how to fix? Im on an early 2008 white macbook 13 inch. Running Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63). Thanks !
Hello, adammusic.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would need a little more information regarding this issue to provide a better answer. However, it sounds like you are experiencing and issue with your MacBook restarting. Here is an article that I would recommend going through if you are experiencing that issue.
OS X: When your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "Your computer restarted because of a problem."

Hey there,
Ive looked through various sites and tried all sorts of
different methods to fix this including changing the file
types/mime types on quicktime, reinstalling Flash and shockwave etc
but for the video on thi site
http://freemaagyeman.com/news/
under the series 4 confirmation for Freema it doesnt load. At first
it was a giant Quicktime bubble with a question mark in the middle
and now since reinstalling Flash and shockwave I get a blank screen
with a small box in the top left corner with a red square, green
circle and blue triangle???
It is really frustrating
Does anyone know how to get round this. When Iam in quicktime
and remove all the file types and hover over the Flash Media
selection it says handled by unkown, check browser settings. Does
anyone know how you can associate this with Flash/Shockwave then??
If it helps this is the source code I get for the video:

On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and either set it to "off" or "ask".
Also, you have to access the video through the videos menu. If you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you also won't be able to see the video.
In iTunes right click on a video, then select get info/video. Make sure that the movies are correctly labeled in "video kind". -

When I select 'Video' category, the movies are not listed. Instead, songs are displayed. I tried searching one particular movie then played it. The movie is playing (sounds only) but no display.

Problem with viewing videos using spacebar quicklook preview in Lion
I've always thought it was great to be able to preview videos quickly by just pressing the spacebar and have been on my Macbook running Snow Leopard for months. I recently bought a new iMac running Lion however but it seems there are some issues with running quicklook on there.
If I press the spacebar on a video in Finder then the preview loads up fine, but if I try and skip to a different point in the video then sometimes the video freezes but the audio carries on, or it will play from where I've selected but the navigator along the bottom will go back to the beginning, the whole thing just generally doesn't behave as it should.
Is there any solution to fixing this?R_Rbnsn wrote:
...I presume that uses Quicktime to work?
It does, but the video files you're trying to preview may not be supported by QT. Download and install the latest versions of Perian and Flip4Mac. You should then be able to see any movie using quicklook.

Having Problem with stuttering video. Please help!
I haven't had a problem with viewing video online with my laptop until a few days ago. Now, all it will do is start to play, then freeze, play for a few seconds, then freeze, etc. etc. If I am on Hulu and pause the video to allow it to buffer, it will go good for a few minutes then start the same thing over again. I have done the same thing on CBS.com, but the results haven't been as good as on Hulu. I have noticed that it is considerably worse when the commercials start. I tried uninstalling my Flashplayer several times to no avail, and I even uninstalled my Antivirus and reinstalled that thinking that might be the problem. Tried right clicking on the player when it's in use and disableing the hardware accelerator in the settings, but that didn't help. I am about ready to pull my hair out!
