Problem with warranty overseas
Hi,
I am writting these post and i am really sad about apple care and services system.
My story is same as thousadns story for people who bought iphone, ipad, ipod or even any other products such as macbook..
In Saudi Arabia, in each house there is at least one apple product (iphone, ipad..etc), and people love it, but the problem is that....No apple store or care service center, where when any thing happen to ur product, to just go and replace it....
Can you imagin last time, my ipad and my sister phone had problems, so i called apple US and they asked me to send it to UK to be fix. So i send to UK to my friend over there, but they changed the ipad and refused to change the iphone as they said it was bought from US and need to be replaced from US.
Can u imagin to send u ur iphone to UK and then to US.....
Really it is unfair, and people start to think twice before they buy apple products.....
So i think apple need to make some thing to relaive us

The iphone has never had an international warranty.
As has always been the case, the iphone warranty is good only in the country of original purchase.
This is nothing new.
If you want local service, then buy your iphone from an official carrier in your country

I purchased a laptop roughly 6 months ago on your website for my son,with an extended warranty that cost an extra 100$. <Edited by Host>If the iPhone was deemed to have water damage, something which normally does not require that the iPhone be disassembled to determine, it will not be covered under warranty. You will need to take this up with Orange, who provides all service for the iPhone in Armenia, if you wish to discuss this further.

Camera problems, with warranty can Apple replace my unit
I have an iPhone 5 with some camera problems, have two or more black dots, looks like plastic particules and in some cases the camera freezes with half screen in purple, i am from Argentina and here there is no iphone service, how i can do a warranty?
Did you try to contact your carrier or provider you bought the device from?
If you bought the phone in another country than Argentina, you'll have to contact the Store where you bought it.
The warranty is only valid in the country where it has been bought.

Problem with warranty duration

This week i have bought ThinkPad E540 with 2 year warranty. On Wednesday i registered my laptpop. Lenovo Solution Center as well as Lenovo website shows that my warranty is not 2 years but ended in 2015.Originally, it should expire in 2016. What should i do?

The warranty on the iPhone has NEVER been international. Service on the iPhone is ONLY available in the country of purchase (the EU is considered "one country" for warranty purposes).
Apple will not accept phones sent in from another country, nor will they send it back out to another country. If your phone was purchased in the US, you will need to either bring it yourself or send it to someone you know in the US to bring the phone to Apple for replacement. If the phone is in the warranty period and a hardware malfunction is found, the phone will be replaced free of charge. If you're outside the warranty period, then you will pay $199 for replacement. -
I refurbished my macbook air 7 months ago because there was a problem with the steady state drive. Now my battery seems to be dead again. How long does the warranty last? Do I need to pay for a new battery?
As I wrote Apple will diagnose an Apple product even if it is out of warranty for free. That should be your first step to find out if the problem is the battery or something else.
Once you have Apple telling you a 7 month old battery is defective (if that turns out to be the case) then it becomes a game of horse trading. You'll need to speak to the tech and when he tells you there is nothing he can do you will need to speak to the tech manager and when she says most likely there is nothing they can do you go to the store manager, etc. It is unlikely (though possible) that they will give in easily you need to be firm, polite and let on that you're willing to accept a partial reimbursement.
So again the first step is to find out what is wrong.

The problem with the warranty repair in Russia. I bought Iphone4 without a contract in Paris, and now I must go there to have it repaired? In Russia, the repair takes only bought in Russia. The warranty is NOT international. You must take it back to the country of origin if it needs repair. The E.U. is considered a single country for warranty purposes.

There is no "world apple warranty" on iPhones. As paulcb points out, the warranty is only valid in the country of origin. You will have to bring it to the U.S. or send it to someone you know there to get it serviced.

If i buy an apple product from the actual customer who bought it, and i face some problem with it, but the device is still under warranty, so would there be any issue for getting the device checked?
If you make an appointment at the Genius Bar about a problem, they will check and evaluate the device, and if it warrants a replacement under warranty, they make the final determination. We are users here. This is a user to user support forum. We cannot determine what Apple will do. I can tell you what I already did, the warranty follows the device.

No you cannot. The iPhone warranty is only good in the country of purchase. You would need to bring it back to the US, or send it to someone that could take it to an Apple store in the US. Apple will not accept international shipments.

GThere are subtle differences on a British layout, mainly having to do with the top line (shift numbers), to permit the use of European monetary symbols. There are a few other keys different (note the enter key).
