Problem with weblogicURL.policy

Are you sure you are using weblogic.security.acl.GroupImpl for the "Principal class"?
For whatever reason we had weblogic.security.acl.Group in the weblogicURL.policy file and had the same problem you described.

Hi,
Please check whether this helps you or not.

  • Problem with Assigning Policy button in Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010

First of all, I'm posting here because I'm not sure how to post in the previous version of Exchange forums.
Secondly, I'm re-posting this from the Outlook forums as I'm not getting any responses there despite of views.
    Hi,
I'm having an issue in Outlook 2010 where I can't assign personal policies to folders. I have setup personal tags and added the mailbox to the right policy. I have also ran Start-MangedFolderAssistant in Exchange 2010 Shell against the mailboxes.
When I go into OWA, everything shows up perfectly, I can right-click and assign policies at will, but when I open Outlook 2010 then the Assign Policy button never appears. I force added it to the ribbon and I can see from there that the button stays grayed
out irregardless of where I click in the folder structure. I have even assigned the mailbox user Owner rights to all the folders to see if it will  make a difference.
If anyone can help me solve this problem I will very grateful, I'm pulling my hair out here and I'm certain I could just be missing something very obvious somewhere,
It might be worth mentioning that the company has been using .prf files to configure Outlook thus far, I'm
looking to eliminate that. I'm not sure if that will have any effect on my current problem.
    Thanks for your time.
    Nico

Thanks for the reply Max, that's a pretty good link.
Like is I said though, I have the policies all set up in the Exchange configuration side of things, when I use OWA all the options for applying tags appear. It's just in Outlook 2010 Standard that the Assign Policy button stays grayed out.
    Thanks.
    EDIT:
This has been solved, looks like version problem with Outlook.

  • [Solved][Hal and Partitions] Newbie problem with hal policy

    Hello everybody,
As a new user of archlinux for less than a week I have experienced a great distribution after having been for 1 year on Linux.
After installation I was able to solve most of my problems with the wiki and the forums but there is one problem I cannot resolve.
I have installed Kde 4.2 on my computer and I can mount Usb drives, or CDs with hal (It is in the daemons section of my rc.conf) but strangely I cannot access my other partitions such as my Ubuntu partition (ext3), or the family's Windows partition (Nfts). I have installed nfts-3g for the nfts partition hal refuses to let me access it, I will give you what Dolphin says when I try to access the Nfts:
    org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy: hal-storage-mount-fixed-extra-options no <-- (actions,result)
    And for the ext3
    org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy: hal-storage-mount-fixedauth_admin_keep_always <-- (actions,result)
I don't really understand what It means but normally I am allowed to mount partitions.
    My /etc/PolycyKit/PolicyKit.conf: http://pastebin.com/m57e94025
    And my /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf: http://pastebin.com/m62861179
I've already tried to configure these two with the wiki and the forums but nothing yet.
If you need more information ask me.
    Thanks in advance.

You might want to reread the Hal wiki re: Permission Denied with automounter.  Your /etc/PolicyKit/PolicyKit.conf seems to be missing the lines mentioned in the wiki.
Edit: Or maybe it is similair to: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=66008

  • Excel 2003 problem with group policy

When I manually install EMET Excel 2003 works. When Emet is installed via Group Policy Excel 2003 fails to open. Excel 2010 works whether EMET is installed locally or with Group Policy. Any ideas?

I would try exporting the policy on both installs using emet_conf --export and comparing the 2 policies

You can re-visit access policy It will have the Process form where you can provide the access policy and save it. Access policy is already created so you can modify access policy and open the process form select IT Resource and save it.
Another way to write pre-pop adapter for populating IT Resource on the process form. But I am sure you can provide it resource via access policy.

    Hi Rajiv,
So, there is no way we can implement this?
My requirement is same as this,
OIM: Question about "Auto Save" option on Resource Object
I have a Resource Object that needs to be provisioned at least two ways:
    1) thru an access policy by group membership
    2) thru user self-request, who is not already in that group membership
The problem is if I don't check the "Auto Save" check box the automatic assignment thru access policy is not completing and If I do check the check box then user request is not letting the user to enter values into the resource form. Instead it is directly going to submit request. Looks like these are mutually exclusive.
Is there a way to make both work on the same Resource Object?
    Thanks

  • Problem with Access policy Provisioning on AD

    Hi,
I have created an access policy, which will trigger the provisioning the user to AD when the user is added to group 'abc'.
    Its without approval.
We have object form and process form. Process form is autosave.
But, the problem is, as soon as the user is added to the group 'abc'.
It triggers the provisioning flow. But the provisioning will be in ready state only.
When we go and save the resource form only the provisioning flow triggers.
If we make the object as auto save, it will work. But in our case we cannot make the object autosave as it has a resource form to be filled by user in other flow.
Is there any approach to solve the issue?

A context can be very useful for doing row-level security, but it is not required.
Even if you are using SYS_CONTEXT, you can create the function first, if you want to.
Sorry, I don't understand what 'Procedure' you mean.
I have created a function (with no parameters) and a policy and kept getting the Ora-28112 error.Policy functions must accept 2 VARCHAR2 parameters. See the messages above.

  • Problems with Authorization Policy, the USER has expired and the ISE is allowing access.

    Hi,

Check if the option in the configuration part of the Authentication process = CONTINUE.
For example, when you use CWA, the IF AUTHENTICATION FAILED Option = CONTINUE so the MAB Auth always fails but based on that Option your connection continues so you are actually redirected using the AUTHORIZATION Policy.

  • Problem with Policy "Display information about previous logons during user logon"

    Hello,
I've a problem with the Policy "Setting Display information about previous logons during user logon".
It is applied correctly on computer, but I can't login anymore and message "Security policies on this computer are set to display information about the last interactive logon. Windows could not retrieve this information. Please contact your network administrator
    for assistance" is appearing.
My home test domain has 2008 R2 functionality level since months, and I've raised my company infra level functionality to 2012 this morning. Both domain are making the same error.
This is non-sense, so any idea how to troubleshoot it ? Thanks in advance ! ;-)
PS : I was able to remove it in order to login again, no worries on this one...

Did you follow the guidance in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd446680%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?
Especially the following paragraph - the setting has to be applied to DCs and Members...:
You configure last interactive logon through a GPO. You must configure the following setting for the GPO with domain controllers in its scope of management if you want to report last interactive logon information to the directory service:
Computer Configuration| Policies | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Logon Options | Display information about previous logons during user logon = Enabled
If you want to display last interactive logon information to the user, you must configure this setting for both the GPO with domain controllers in its scope of management as well as any GPO with Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista client
computers in its scope of management.

I'm struggling with the TechNet article you direct us to.  We see in the TechNet article that Last Login Notification works ONLY with Server 2008 R2 and Vista.  Do we interpret that correctly?
We need it to work with Server 2003, Server 2008, Win7, Win8, Win8.1, Server 2012, et. al.
What is the work around to enable *Last Login Notifications to Users* functionality for these OSs?

  • Having problem with svchost.exe/ntdll.dll errors causing GPSVC (Group Policy Client) to crash preventing users from logging into the server.

Recently (within the past 2 weeks) I have noticed a few of our servers will have problems with the svchost.exe application causing the GPSVC (Group Policy Client) to crash. The only fix at that point is to reboot the server since the GPSVC service is tied

All of our servers are running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise where we use Citrix to deliver desktop sessions to our users, but some are virtual and some are physical. This seemingly impacts our virtual machines more, and our VMs are hosted through VMWare, however,
about 5 months ago a similar error fired on a non-virtual machine:

I've searched and cannot seem to find any information as to what may be causing this, or even really where to start. Would someone be able to help me identify what might be causing this event, specific with the Exception code: 0xc0000024, which causes
the Group Policy Client service to stop?

You still out there looking at things? If so I have an update. The issue hasn't stopped, even though it did seemingly die down for awhile, however, it is now back with a vengeance.
I am able to force it to happen by killing the svchost process that is hosting GPSVC. If I run gpupdate /force, then logout/login it does get GPSVC running again. Furthermore, if I simply start svchost again via the Task Manager GPSVC starts running again.
When I access the server remotely with KVM it acts just like it does as if I'm logging into it via Citrix/RDP which for Admin IDs gives an error saying "Failed to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the Group Policy Client service...",
however, normal user accounts just get a message when logging into the server "The Group Policy Client Service Failed the Logon. Access is denied."
I haven't opened a case with Microsoft yet, but we about ready to because of the increase in these errors.
If you have any further suggestions that would be great, otherwise I'll provide an update once I get word back from Microsoft.
**EDIT -- apparently I mistook the the server's SCM's actions as my own. I was able to successfully crash the GPSVC service by killing the hosting svchost process, however, after I crashed it and let it sit crashed for awhile when I attempted
to restart either by starting a svchost task, or running gpupdate /force it failed. Either that, or there is a timing issue where if we don't restart the svchost process, or run gpupdate /force quickly enough it won't be able to recover without a reboot.

  • Problems with $HOME/.java.policy

    hi,
    i'm using suse linux 7.3 & jdk 1.4.
i have a simple test applet that prints the user name. i signed it by:
    cprokt@linux:~/java/applets/uname> jarsigner -signedjar strapp.jar trapp.jar cprokt
    Enter Passphrase for keystore: dubel07
    cprokt@linux:~/java/applets/uname> jarsigner -verify strapp.jar
jar verified.then i created the java policy file /home/cprokt/.java.policy
    keystore "/home/cprokt/.keystore";
    grant SignedBy "cprokt"
    permission java.util.PropertyPermission "user.name", "read";
};Running this applet with appletviewer resulted in a AccessControlException which said:
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission user.name read)I got the same result when I ran the applet with Konqueror (blackdown vm 1.3).

It's not neccessary to have a .java.policy file if you sign the applet. I run my applets (intranet only) with a policy file alone, without signing them. The only drawback to the policy file security is that it will have to be deployed to your users, this does not work in the internet, who's going to accept your policy file, but it's not so bad in an intranet. If you sign the applet succesfully, by default you'll get "all permissions" and getting the user name should not be a problem.
    Hope this helps...
